    the fallen realm

is our good friend derek gilbert derek
    00:58
so good to see you always good to see
    01:00
you i always love your insights and
    01:03
    research and you have
    01:04
a pocket full of them today
    01:08
in in regards to something that um
    01:13
    has to do with
    01:18
    our understanding of
    01:21
the mount of olives mount hermon
    01:27
    even even incorporating caesarea
    01:29
    philippi
    01:31
    uh pan’s temple and
    01:35
i was on with joan hunter as a good
    01:37
    friend yesterday and
    01:38
we were talking about fear and i said
    01:40
    you know people
    01:42
    loosely use the word pandemic
    01:45
    and pan demonian and
    01:48
    panic and pan asea
    01:52
and they probably in the vocabulary the
    01:54
    last
    01:55
year or 14 months or so in regards to
    01:58
covet 19 have invoked the name of the
    02:01
    false god pan
    02:03
more than they have invoked the name of
    02:05
    jesus
    02:06
    and this is the veneration
    02:10
of a false god when you repeat his name
    02:14
over and over and over again don’t have
    02:17
    an understanding of its
    02:18
origin that this was a false god and
    02:22
this was literally jesus standing at
    02:25
what he says are you going to stand
    02:26
before you at the gates of hell
    02:27
this was one of the locations that
    02:31
as we look across the earth at what
    02:33
referred to as the gates of hell
    02:36
he says the gates of hell will not
    02:38
prevail and on this rock i will build my
    02:40
    church
    02:41
and he was talking to peter and uh this
    02:44
    was caesarea philippi
    02:46
    and this is a significant
    02:51
    part of we have no
    02:55
    discernment of
    02:58
    vocabulary and language and
    03:02
    the words we speak are
    03:06
you know i would have to say jesus
    03:10
150 times a day more often
    03:15
    in this coronavirus conversation to
    03:19
    outweigh
    03:19
    how many times i’ve honored
    03:22
    subliminally pan the half-man half-goat
    03:27
    god of the
    03:30
    greco-roman empire yeah it’s uh
    03:33
this is one of the things that uh the
    03:36
research that sharon and i have been
    03:37
doing and i want to be clear that we
    03:38
don’t take credit for any great wisdom
    03:40
    on our own part
    03:41
anything that we’ve gotten right we
    03:42
    credit to the lord because
    03:44
it’s only through his grace and his
    03:46
    spirit has granted us a
    03:47
modicum of wisdom that we have found
    03:50
    anything at all
    03:51
and i think god must have a sense of
    03:52
humor that he’s taken an old top 40
    03:54
radio disc jockey and he’s got him
    03:55
    writing books on theology now
    03:57
based on the cosmology of the ancient
    03:59
    mesopotamians which is
    04:01
you know mind-boggling to me but uh it
    04:05
i i guess i inherited enough of my
    04:06
    father’s uh uh
    04:08
engineer’s brain to want to understand
    04:11
    how things work
    04:12
and uh unlike my sister who actually you
    04:15
    know
    04:15
designs tire molds for michelin and now
    04:18
runs their help center for their
    04:19
computer network for their corporate uh
    04:21
entity you know all over the world um
    04:24
i look at the spirit realm and the
    04:26
supernatural to try to take it apart
    04:28
and figure out how little pieces fit
    04:30
together so god has been very good in
    04:32
    showing us this
    04:32
and a lot of it started with an
    04:35
    interview that i heard
    04:36
more than 10 years ago with a good
    04:39
gentleman has become a good friend of
    04:40
    ours now dr judd burton
    04:42
who heads up the institute of biblical
    04:44
    anthropology
    04:45
down in texas and he is an archaeologist
    04:48
by training and he did his dissertation
    04:50
on pinayas or banayas as it’s called now
    04:53
which is the grotto of pan at caesarea
    04:55
philippi which is where as you said
    04:57
    where jesus
    04:58
talked with the disciples and uh asked
    05:01
    them
    05:02
who men who do people say that i am and
    05:04
some say john the baptist some say
    05:06
    elijah some say this that
    05:08
then he turned to peter said who do you
    05:10
    say that i am
    05:11
    jesus chose that’s that location
    05:13
    specifically and so
    05:15
judd in talking with another friend of
    05:17
    ours dr michael bennett on
    05:18
his uh late lamented radio program
    05:21
    called future quake
    05:22
explained that this location was chosen
    05:24
    specifically
    05:26
for two reasons first of all he was in
    05:28
front of mount hermon which is a nine
    05:30
thousand two hundred foot peak it is
    05:32
clearly far and away the tallest
    05:34
mountain in the levant which is uh
    05:36
    uh jordan israel lebanon
    05:39
far and away the tallest in the jordan
    05:41
rift valley and it was the mountain
    05:43
    where the canaanites the ancient
    05:44
    amorites and the
    05:46
horrorites the hurrians the everyone who
    05:49
lived in that area believed that
    05:50
the creator god called l not to be
    05:53
    confused with el
    05:54
shaddai you know god almighty but l of
    05:57
    the canaanites their creator god
    05:59
held court on the summit of mount hermon
    06:01
    with his consort ashrae
    06:03
    whose epithet was dragon lady
    06:05
    interestingly enough and
    06:07
their 70 sons which represented the gods
    06:09
    of all the nations
    06:10
well jesus at the foot of that mountain
    06:12
    said on this rock
    06:14
i will build my church he was not
    06:17
    referring to
    06:18
    petros or peter simon peter
    06:21
he was referring to this nine thousand
    06:23
two hundred foot mountain right behind
    06:25
    him
    06:25
those references in the old testament
    06:27
    scattered throughout
    06:28
here and there references to hermong and
    06:31
    bashan
    06:32
are there because that area was believed
    06:35
to be the domain of the fallen
    06:37
    jews understood what their neighbors
    06:39
    believed the prophets and apostles
    06:40
certainly understood it jesus knew it
    06:43
and so he took the disciples to caesarea
    06:45
philippi and said on this rock i will
    06:47
build my church and the gates of hell
    06:49
which is the grotto of pan this cave
    06:51
    that used to be
    06:53
the origin point of the jordan river
    06:56
earthquakes have changed that in the
    06:57
years since now it comes out further
    06:58
    away from the mountain but
    07:00
it was believed that that was literally
    07:01
the entrance to the netherworld the
    07:03
gates of hell which are right over here
    07:05
shall not prevail against it and i know
    07:06
you’ve been there and we’ve been blessed
    07:08
to be there twice now and both times
    07:10
    i’ve been able to
    07:12
    explain the significance of that
    07:15
event of jesus confirming to peter that
    07:18
    yes i
    07:18
am the messiah right there in front of
    07:21
    the grotto of pan
    07:23
and people who’ve never heard this
    07:24
before like i did more than 10 years ago
    07:26
when i heard judd burton explain this to
    07:28
    michael bennett like
    07:30
what you mean god knew that the
    07:33
because we’ve all been raised believing
    07:35
that these pagan gods of the ancient
    07:37
    world
    07:38
were imaginary they were like the
    07:39
imaginary friends who guided the great
    07:41
civilizations of the ancient world the
    07:44
egyptians and the assyrians and the
    07:45
babylonians and the sumerians and the
    07:47
    romans and the
    07:48
they all had these this pantheon of
    07:50
    imaginary creatures that
    07:52
caused them to do all these things but
    07:54
    then jesus
    07:56
    right there did this like
    07:59
okay that’s a paradigm shift right there
    08:02
and you can see it in the faces of
    08:03
    people when they go
    08:04
there and you explain this to them and
    08:06
you’re able to point to this huge cave
    08:09
entrance right here where the pagans
    08:11
used to offer their sacrifices and throw
    08:13
them into the water and if they sank
    08:14
they believed the gods had accepted the
    08:16
sacrifice and it was taken down to the
    08:17
    netherworld
    08:20
suddenly the light dawns that changes
    08:22
everything in fact dr burton says
    08:24
when you are confronted by people who
    08:27
have not yet accepted this paradigm and
    08:29
say why do you spend so much time
    08:30
    talking about
    08:32
the giants from before the flood how do
    08:34
we know they were real why are they
    08:35
important why do they matter to us today
    08:37
    as christians
    08:38
judd’s answer is two words caesarea
    08:40
    philippi
    08:42
because jesus did that right there and
    08:44
    then
    08:45
shortly thereafter the gospels tell us
    08:47
he climbed a very high mountain and that
    08:49
can only be mount vermont because it’s
    08:51
the only very high mountain in the
    08:52
    vicinity of caesarea philippi
    08:55
    and that’s where the transfiguration
    08:56
    took place jesus
    08:58
was in a sense sending a flare into the
    09:01
    spirit realm
    09:02
declaring his divinity saying yes i am
    09:05
    the prophesied one
    09:06
    i am that i am
    09:09
what are you going to do about it and
    09:12
    elijah and moses
    09:13
appeared there with him peter james and
    09:15
    john were
    09:16
freaked out peter wanted to build booths
    09:18
which is why i think the feast of
    09:19
tabernacles another reason i think the
    09:21
feast of tabernacles is so important but
    09:23
i digress and from there jesus then made
    09:26
his way to jerusalem to complete his
    09:28
mission which the fallen realm could not
    09:30
    help
    09:31
but assist in they were so infuriated
    09:34
or confused by into thinking that
    09:36
because he was fully human as well as
    09:38
    fully god hey
    09:39
if we kill him now like in the parable
    09:42
    of the evil tenants
    09:43
if we kill the son of the owner of the
    09:46
    vineyard
    09:48
we’ll get his inheritance they thought
    09:50
if they sent jesus to the cross
    09:53
they would fulfill the mission now
    09:55
interestingly you mentioned the mount of
    09:56
    olives and this is
    09:57
some of the research that’s coming from
    09:59
    my forthcoming book saturn’s reign
    10:02
jesus spent the last week of his life
    10:05
    alternating between
    10:06
the temple and the mount of olives he
    10:08
    was crucified
    10:10
on the mount of olives that’s what the
    10:11
    research suggests
    10:13
uh he raised lazarus on the mount of
    10:15
    olives that final week
    10:17
    he uh was betrayed on
    10:20
the garden of gethsemane on the mount of
    10:21
olives his burial tomb on the mount of
    10:23
olives so he descended into the
    10:25
netherworld according to first peter 3
    10:27
    verses 19 and 20
    10:29
i believe that first peter 3 i think
    10:30
it’s around 19 and 20 anyway where he
    10:32
    proclaimed to the spirits
    10:34
in prison and scholars have looked at
    10:36
that say no these are the
    10:38
    spirits who who disobeyed
    10:42
when god’s patience was waiting in the
    10:44
days of noah in other words he’s talking
    10:45
    about
    10:46
the sons of god from genesis chapter six
    10:48
    the ones who
    10:49
uh created the nephilim through their
    10:51
unions their illicit unions with human
    10:52
    women
    10:53
so again you’ve got this reference back
    10:56
    to mount hermon because that’s
    10:57
where it was believed they descended and
    10:59
made their mutual pact to corrupt
    11:01
    humanity
    11:02
jesus descended to proclaim his victory
    11:05
    to them
    11:06
from the mount of olives he returned his
    11:09
    resurrection was
    11:11
declared at the tomb on the mount of
    11:13
olives and according to zechariah 14 he
    11:15
    will return
    11:17
to the mount of olives that’s a very
    11:19
significant location and i didn’t really
    11:21
understand that until recently when i
    11:22
    started putting all these pieces
    11:23
    together and
    11:25
    the connection between hormone the
    11:26
amount of olives and other locations in
    11:28
    the jordan valley
    11:30
very very significant you know these are
    11:32
the reasons why we encourage people to
    11:34
    go
    11:35
on these trips with us to israel to
    11:37
    experience this to see it
    11:39
to be in that place and see the bible
    11:41
    come alive
    11:42
in the physical location and be able to
    11:44
    connect the dots
    11:46
you can’t read that on a flat piece of
    11:47
    paper and unless you have
    11:51
the last book of the bible which is the
    11:53
    least read
    11:54
book of the bible and that’s the book of
    11:56
    maps
    11:58
then you don’t have any real reference
    12:01
    point
    12:02
as to the physical locations and so when
    12:06
    you plot out
    12:07
journeys and pilgrimages and you look at
    12:10
    where bethany was
    12:11
and why this was the headquarters if you
    12:15
will of the last four days of jesus life
    12:18
    and what the locale was
    12:22
and when you go into the old city
    12:26
    and you are navigating from
    12:30
as you go from the garden of gethsemane
    12:32
    and you cross
    12:33
the street over you get on the bus and
    12:35
    you cross over and
    12:37
enter the old city and you’re kind of
    12:41
walking around and you’re you’re taking
    12:43
    this journey
    12:45
uh the the stations of the cross
    12:48
and you wind up back at the garden tomb
    12:52
    you’ve kind of lost geographical
    12:55
geopositioning you kind of don’t realize
    12:58
exactly where you are and you tend to
    13:01
    think that you’re still
    13:02
in the old city you’ve just gone outside
    13:05
    a particular wall
    13:06
well that’s not the case you’ve
    13:09
    circumvented all that
    13:11
and returned back uh to this place on
    13:14
the mount of olives and so
    13:16
people don’t connect that they seem to
    13:17
think it’s all related to jerusalem
    13:20
or city of david or all those things
    13:24
    which also talks about
    13:25
    the fact that
    13:29
the church of the holy sepulchre which
    13:32
    is
    13:32
inside the city walls inside the city
    13:35
    gates
    13:36
would be the burial ground of jesus
    13:39
doesn’t add up it doesn’t make sense
    13:43
because he was not a clean
    13:46
sacrifice and so the levitical system
    13:49
would not permit him to be sacrificed
    13:52
    within the walls of jerusalem
    13:54
nothing unclean and we look at him as
    13:57
the beautiful lamb without blemish or
    13:59
spot but in the end he wore
    14:02
sin upon him he was defiled by
    14:06
    our very sin and his
    14:09
    exit although his entrance was
    14:12
the eastern gate the golden gate the
    14:15
gate that the king would arrive in his
    14:17
exit was through the sheepgate he was
    14:20
    now
    14:21
just another one of the lambs
    14:24
who would be sacrificed on passover and
    14:27
    so
    14:28
when we connect all that and you step
    14:31
through all that and you make that
    14:33
    journey
    14:33
and you stop in those locations they’re
    14:36
    specifically
    14:37
designed so that you can see
    14:41
nimrod’s castle you can see pan’s grotto
    14:45
    you can see
    14:47
how all this and who the
    14:50
    um the
    14:55
sons and and and daughters and and the
    14:58
    false gods of of these
    15:02
    um fallen angels
    15:05
the mighty men of renown who
    15:11
were the creators if you will
    15:14
    of the demonic who were
    15:17
looking travelers they were looking for
    15:20
    places
    15:20
of occupancy they traveled looking for
    15:24
human host they were disembodied and so
    15:29
    they were
    15:29
spirit and we see that throughout the
    15:32
    scriptures and we
    15:34
understand it when jesus talks to the
    15:38
    man who’s got a legion
    15:41
of of uh demons in him
    15:44
that they’re looking for send us
    15:47
into they’re looking for another host
    15:50
they don’t have a physical presence
    15:55
there was a movie years ago denzel
    15:57
    washington that was really quite
    16:00
profound it was called fallen right yes
    16:03
and it’s probably and and they used
    16:07
    zazel as the reference point
    16:10
and it was probably one of the most
    16:13
    biblically explicit
    16:18
    depictions of how spirits
    16:21
transfer from one person to another
    16:25
    the demonic looking for
    16:28
a human host and it was just through
    16:31
    simple contact
    16:33
it was moving from one to another and
    16:36
ultimately he was able to defeat it
    16:39
    by destroying
    16:43
    the final host and
    16:46
there was nowhere else for it to go well
    16:48
almost because it went into the cat and
    16:50
the cat ran off and that was said to say
    16:52
    yeah
    16:52
almost got me but not quite right so uh
    16:55
    yeah
    16:55
but that just proves my my belief that
    16:58
    cats are evil but uh
    17:00
i i joke of course my mother has uh had
    17:02
    cats for years so uh
    17:04
but you’re right it is an interesting
    17:06
look at that uh that that conflict and
    17:09
    the fact that these entities
    17:10
uh demonic entities which are the
    17:12
spirits of the nephilim destroyed in the
    17:13
flood that was understood by the early
    17:15
    church
    17:15
until the time of augustine when he
    17:17
    popularized a belief that
    17:19
well no that that whole thing was just
    17:21
allegory and that the whole sons of seth
    17:23
    siri
    17:24
theory took over and has been the
    17:25
    dominant belief among christian
    17:27
theologians for the last 1600 years
    17:29
that was not the belief of the early
    17:30
church it was not the belief of the jews
    17:32
of the second temple period and that’s
    17:33
clear in the septuagint translation of
    17:35
the bible which was completed about 300
    17:37
years before the birth of jesus
    17:39
    they understood the connection between
    17:42
the titans of greek religion the old
    17:45
gods were confined to the netherworld
    17:46
and the sons of god of genesis chapter 6
    17:48
who likewise were in the underworld and
    17:52
i’m going to argue in saturn’s reign
    17:54
that there’s a possibility that we have
    17:56
    misunderstood
    17:58
isaiah chapter 14 for uh many many years
    18:01
    it’s
    18:02
commonly believed and i still hold that
    18:04
this is the probable explanation that
    18:06
isaiah 14 ezekiel 28 which are parallel
    18:08
    chapters
    18:09
describe the fall of lucifer satan from
    18:12
    the garden
    18:14
but there is a uh a strange
    18:18
um contradiction there that we we have
    18:21
not yet reconciled which is that in
    18:22
genesis chapter three that rebel is
    18:24
called the nakash which is a
    18:26
    word that’s used interchangeably with
    18:27
    serpent and we see in
    18:29
isaiah and in numbers that phrase used
    18:32
    interchangeably
    18:33
nakash with sarah which is the singular
    18:36
    form of seraphim
    18:37
we get a description of the seraphim in
    18:39
isaiah chapter 6 when he gets his throne
    18:41
    room vision
    18:42
and they’re very different from the
    18:43
    caribbean the cherubim
    18:45
which are described in uh in ezekiel 28
    18:48
rather this rebel is described as the
    18:50
    guardian cherub
    18:51
who covered so what do we make of that
    18:54
    is he a
    18:55
    serpentine brilliant serpentine
    18:58
appearance like the seraphim a burning
    19:00
one or is he this uh
    19:02
    four-faced uh bull-like sphinx
    19:05
which is how the cherubim are described
    19:06
by ezekiel in ezekiel chapters 1 and 10.
    19:11
i would suggest that this that isaiah 14
    19:15
because it also makes reference to later
    19:18
in isaiah 14 makes reference to
    19:20
asher or the assyrian but asher was the
    19:23
    name of an entity
    19:25
the chief god of the assyrians who was
    19:27
    equated with enlil
    19:29
and thus el and dagon same entity by
    19:32
    different names
    19:33
and saturn and kronos all the same
    19:35
entity but by different names and that
    19:38
    this
    19:39
in the context of isaiah 14 may be the
    19:41
entity that’s being referred to here
    19:44
and that also the king of babylon who is
    19:46
    referenced in
    19:47
the early part of isaiah 14 isaiah 14
    19:50
verse 4 the king of babylon that’s
    19:52
babel could also be the king of babel
    19:55
    because the term babel
    19:57
refers to the tower and the location of
    20:00
    the tower back in genesis

  6. rosettasister Says:

    20:00
    the tower back in genesis
    20:01
    chapter 10 9-10
    20:04
so i think this may be a coded reference
    20:07
to this particular entity in other words
    20:09
the leader of the sons of god who
    20:10
    descended to mount hermon
    20:12
back in genesis 6. this could be a
    20:14
    reference to
    20:15
shemi yaza who was thrown down to the
    20:18
netherworld shale is stirred up to meet
    20:19
    you
    20:20
when you come isaiah 14 verse 9 it
    20:21
    rouses the rephaim
    20:24
translated shades in our english bibles
    20:25
to greet you all who are leaders of the
    20:27
    earth
    20:28
satan was cast out of heaven but he
    20:31
    wasn’t necessarily cast out to
    20:33
shale we read in the book of job that
    20:35
he’s still walking to and fro in the
    20:36
    earth
    20:38
he still has access to heaven not so
    20:41
this entity shemija and of course we
    20:45
know from greek and roman mythology that
    20:46
    saturn kronos
    20:48
was confined to the netherworld the
    20:50
    ancient mesopotamian myths about
    20:52
enlil show that later in his career when
    20:54
    marduk the
    20:55
chief god of babylon took over the
    20:57
headship of the pantheon there enloe was
    20:59
    confined to the netherworld
    21:01
the the hurrian and hittite equivalent
    21:02
kumarbi was overthrown by the storm god
    21:05
their version of zeus jupiter bale
    21:08
and kumarbi was confined to the
    21:10
    netherworld
    21:12
where he would have been greeted by
    21:14
these shades the spirits of the children
    21:16
that he and his colleagues engendered
    21:18
when they rebelled against god back in
    21:19
    genesis chapter six
    21:21
    um so i i think there’s a possibility
    21:24
    here that we
    21:25
are seeing something in isaiah 14 or
    21:27
there may be something in isaiah 14 that
    21:29
    we haven’t seen
    21:30
yet that this entity saturn kronos
    21:33
l enlil dagan etc is the one who was
    21:36
cast out in isaiah 14 and ezekiel 28
    21:39
that eliminates the confusion are we
    21:41
talking about satan as an akash or as a
    21:43
cherub is he a seraph or is he a cherub
    21:46
well there’s no conflict because of
    21:48
ezekiel 28 is talking about a
    21:50
cherub that could be shemi yaza and
    21:53
his other fellow sons of god
    21:56
i’m not going to die in this theological
    21:58
hill i’m just proposing this as an
    22:00
    alternate explanation to kick around
    22:01
and maybe others who are smarter than me
    22:03
can come up with some additional
    22:05
points of view on this but i do think
    22:08
    it’s interesting
    22:09
that this entity l when we
    22:12
look at the neighbors of ancient israel
    22:15
and study what they believed about their
    22:17
    chief gods
    22:19
we know that um the ammonites who lived
    22:22
east of the jordan river south of the
    22:26
region of bashan that was formerly
    22:28
controlled by ogh of bashan their chief
    22:30
    god was called
    22:30
milcom and a scholar did a study of the
    22:34
    uh
    22:34
the the names used uh by the ammonites
    22:38
in in the records scholars call this the
    22:40
    onomasticon
    22:41
just a fancy word for study of names and
    22:45
in the ancient world it was common to
    22:46
include the name of a deity
    22:48
in personal names they called it the
    22:50
    theophoric element
    22:52
in the names we see it in uh say
    22:53
    jeremiah hezeki
    22:55
    yeah micah l daniel
    23:00
in the ammonite pantheon even though
    23:02
    milcom
    23:03
was their chief god the most common
    23:07
theophoric element or god name was l
    23:10
and again not l as in l god of the bible
    23:13
but l of the canaanites right
    23:15
his conclusion was that milcom was
    23:18
    simply an
    23:19
epithet or a nickname or a title applied
    23:22
    to
    23:23
el nilcon essentially an alternate form
    23:26
    of melech meaning
    23:27
king so they were simply calling their
    23:30
    chief god
    23:31
    king and likewise the
    23:34
derogatory form of that name molech
    23:38
    was another term for el
    23:42
well solomon in the the generation after
    23:45
    david
    23:46
after building the temple was led by his
    23:49
foreign wives to build a number of high
    23:50
places including a high place for the
    23:52
    god of the ammonites
    23:54
milcom on the mount of olives
    23:57
so he built a high place for this king
    24:00
    god
    24:02
east of the temple visible probably
    24:05
from the gate that messiah will re-enter
    24:08
    in when he comes back
    24:12
and that led the uh that led the the
    24:15
    rabbis and the
    24:17
the the priests to refer to the mount of
    24:19
olives as the mount of corruption or the
    24:20
    mount of the
    24:22
heat i don’t know if i’m pronouncing the
    24:24
    hebrew word correctly but
    24:26
uh essentially mount of the destroyer
    24:28
    right
    24:29
and i think this then adds a little bit
    24:32
    of uh
    24:33
evidence to the identity of a mysterious
    24:35
    character in revelation chapter nine
    24:37
    that being apollyon or abaddon
    24:40
the destroyer you know it’s interesting
    24:43
when you talk about isaiah 14 and we
    24:46
take a look at at the offspring
    24:50
these are the demonic the demons who are
    24:52
    held
    24:53
captive and then unleashed to torment
    24:56
    men
    24:57
    for a period of time
    25:01
the the the the shield opens up and
    25:05
when you think about these numerics of
    25:09
    how many fell with with
    25:12
    satan uh everybody kicks around
    25:14
one-third but that’s not in the bible
    25:17
the the number’s not in the bible it’s
    25:18
    not many and
    25:20
you know it’s how many angels can fit on
    25:21
the head of a pen it’s it’s many
    25:24
but we also know that there was a number
    25:26
    of
    25:28
those that were confined who would not
    25:32
    be released until
    25:34
a future time to torment men but there
    25:37
    was still
    25:38
    the free-flowing demonic activity of
    25:41
    those that were
    25:42
not confined so we know it’s a reduced
    25:44
    number
    25:45
    we know that it’s worldwide
    25:49
we see the demonic activity we see
    25:53
    deliverances we see that activity
    25:56
    we see in mental disorders
    25:59
we see in so many different ways
    26:02
    manifesting itself
    26:04
that we know that there’s enough out
    26:06
    there to torment
    26:07
    men that satan’s
    26:10
heavily at work the time of satan’s
    26:14
final battle with michael where he is
    26:17
    finally kicked out is
    26:21
described but we’re not given a timeline
    26:24
for it and the only reference point we
    26:27
really have is in luke 10 18
    26:30
where jesus says i saw satan fall like
    26:33
    lightning from heaven
    26:35
and then he goes on to give us the
    26:38
    authority
    26:39
    and reinstates our authority when
    26:41
dominion which we lost in the garden
    26:43
he re-establishes that that we as
    26:46
    believers in him
    26:47
now are empowered by the power and the
    26:50
anointing of the holy spirit our faith
    26:51
    in
    26:52
jesus the command we have over god’s
    26:54
word even goes on to say we’ll do even
    26:56
    greater
    26:57
than he did i can’t even imagine what
    26:59
    that might
    27:00
look like but then i also go to the
    27:02
    first day of creation
    27:04
where god separated the light from the
    27:06
    darkness and
    27:08
    was that the point of
    27:11
calling the light good and jesus was the
    27:15
light of the world was this the first
    27:17
    foray into creating division between
    27:19
    late and darkness was this
    27:21
the first foray into the darkness
    27:25
    being satan exiting
    27:28
heaven but not permanently kicked out
    27:30
    but his
    27:31
fall because we really have never come
    27:34
    up with a great explanation
    27:36
as to what the entities were that god
    27:40
created that were light and dark they
    27:42
weren’t the sun and the moon that was
    27:44
    specifically created
    27:46
later on so when we search for these
    27:50
    reference points
    27:52
and we take a look at even things like
    27:54
    the
    27:55
wall of flies in the plague
    27:58
that divided goshen from egypt this
    28:01
    would be a
    28:02
black wall a straight line wall not a
    28:05
    single fly
    28:06
on the goshen side so you have to see
    28:10
this huge divide this wall of darkness
    28:14
when we see them getting ready for the
    28:16
    crossing of the red sea
    28:18
and the pillar of cloud goes behind them
    28:21
and he bathes the israelites in light
    28:23
    and he
    28:24
bathes the egyptians in darkness we see
    28:28
    another clearing clear
    28:30
division exactly that same separation of
    28:33
light and dark that we see in the
    28:34
    beginning
    28:35
and it talks about the angel of the lord
    28:38
or the angel of god which is always the
    28:40
    pre-incarnate yeshua
    28:42
so if if we add all these
    28:45
up it becomes logical to conclude
    28:48
    that that original divide that
    28:50
    separation of good and evil
    28:52
light and dark that god was his first
    28:55
    act
    28:57
the first command of the bible let there
    29:00
    be light
    29:02
    was the declaration of
    29:05
    the releasing of
    29:08
the preincarnate yeshua into the world
    29:11
    at the same time
    29:13
that satan is cast from heaven
    29:18
but this is his fall this is not his
    29:20
    imminent final battle with
    29:22
michael this is the beginning of
    29:27
    addressing this chaos that was
    29:30
    not
    29:34
god doesn’t create chaos so it would
    29:36
    explain
    29:37
that that the spirit would hover over
    29:41
the deep and then god would say so the
    29:44
    spirit had to fall
    29:45
first and we see that pattern again when
    29:48
    the spirit falls on messiah
    29:50
and then god speaks so there’s a pattern
    29:54
the spirit falls and then god speaks
    29:58
    and it it’s paralleled
    30:02
god doesn’t speak until the spirit falls
    30:04
    the spirit like a dove
    30:06
lit upon messiah and then god spoke
    30:09
so we’re seeing this new creation we’re
    30:11
    seeing creation and new creation
    30:14
all occur at the same time and the
    30:15
    parallels are very very
    30:18
specific we don’t really know the
    30:21
    timeline
    30:22
it wouldn’t surprise me if it was a
    30:24
    period of 40 days
    30:27
because it just calls in the beginning
    30:30
there’s no reference point to that time
    30:32
    frame but
    30:33
every other time frame had 40 in it and
    30:36
    every other time frame was
    30:37
and jesus was immediately honestly taken
    30:40
    up out of the water
    30:41
taken into this quote on case quote
    30:44
    temptation uh this testing uh
    30:47
and 40 has been the number of testing so
    30:50
    that would not surprise
    30:51
    me in
    30:55
    informed desumptive
    30:58
conclusion drawing or inference if you
    31:01
    would
    31:02
that these are kind of the patterns of
    31:04
    god
    31:06
but people are so unfamiliar with the
    31:08
    locations
    31:10
nimrod’s castle being one of them and
    31:13
what took place there and why it was
    31:15
    geographically located
    31:17
in the place that it was and
    31:20
how important mount hermon was how
    31:23
    important that
    31:24
    elijah and moses
    31:28
these were the two established in
    31:32
    scripture
    31:32
moses said one will come after me god
    31:34
    will appoint a prophet
    31:36
like me who will come after me
    31:39
and basically he creates a scenario that
    31:42
    you are to do
    31:43
what he teaches you or to
    31:46
follow him or you’ll be cut off from
    31:49
    your people
    31:50
well when you think about the statement
    31:52
    follow me
    31:54
there’s no prophet throughout the bible
    31:56
that ever spoke the words follow me
    31:58
but yet those were two words significant
    32:00
    enough to motivate peter
    32:03
and matthew to get up from what they
    32:06
    were doing
    32:07
    recognizing that this was the
    32:09
    proclamation made in the prophecy
    32:12
    because moses
    32:13
was the prophet of israel that
    32:16
that this was who moses was talking
    32:19
    about
    32:20
he’s the one then elijah was to come to
    32:24
    announce
    32:25
the coming of messiah under biblical
    32:29
    mandate bill
    32:30
law by the testimony of two or more
    32:32
    witnesses something had to be
    32:33
established and so therefore it had to
    32:35
    be
    32:36
    two witnesses there with messiah
    32:40
both of which predicted the coming of
    32:42
    messiah
    32:44
and are the two definitive characters
    32:46
that’s why at passover we set
    32:48
the table for elijah to come
    32:52
and expect him to come to announce uh
    32:56
the coming of messiah and so none of
    32:58
these things are accidental they’re not
    33:00
not coincidental and people tend to
    33:03
not fit them neatly together because
    33:07
in this period of time as you and i have
    33:09
    talked about in this inter-testamental
    33:11
    period
    33:12
the greek influence is so strong
    33:16
    the greek philosophy and mythiology
    33:18
    mythology is
    33:19
so strong and the assimilation is so
    33:22
    great that it it actually
    33:26
    permeates society and those
    33:29
like the essenes who bore witness to
    33:32
    this
    33:33
and then saw the formation of the
    33:35
    pharisees and those who were
    33:39
the teachers of the law and ignoring
    33:43
    all these other truths
    33:46
    and trying to establish their
    33:49
    authority on earth and ignoring
    33:52
this spiritual battle that was taking
    33:54
    place between the greco-roman
    33:57
gods and the god of abraham isaac and
    34:01
    jacob
    34:02
they packed up and pulled away and went
    34:04
off on their own and said
    34:06
we want nothing to do with you right
    34:09
    you’re you’re defiled
    34:10
by your own entertainment by your own
    34:14
you’re under this spell and you’re
    34:16
    creating these
    34:17
false gods and you’re calling them
    34:20
    yourself
    34:21
and that was the big issue that jesus
    34:24
    had
    34:24
    we’re talking with derek gilbert
    34:28
as we have so enjoyed talking to
    34:32
over the course of all these years
    34:34
    prolific author
    34:36
    extraordinary researcher just like his
    34:38
    wife
    34:39
    an extraordinary researcher and we
    34:42
certainly look forward to the release of
    34:44
    the new book
    34:46
but the latest book is giant gods and
    34:48
    dragons
    34:49
exposing the fallen realm and the plot
    34:51
to ignite the final war of the ages
    34:54
and you can get all of derek’s books at
    34:55
    skywatch tv
    34:57
    or at gilberthouse.org
    35:00
we’re taking a short break and when we
    35:02
come back we’ll return to the subject
    35:05
of the mount of olives and even some
    35:08
    discussion about the temple
    35:10
mount and some of the things that have
    35:11
    been happening in
    35:13
recent days of the recording of
    35:17
muslims dancing on the temple mount and
    35:20
breaking the laws of the temple mountain
    35:22
    the move
    35:23
to advance the ownership of clear
    35:26
title and jurisdiction of the temple
    35:29
    mount to
    35:30
    israel is a precursor
    35:34
    to the building of the
    35:38
tribulation temple the third temple and
    35:41
that has great significance as well
    35:44
we’re going to take a short break

screen bad moon rising in last class the
    40:42
    titans the earth stands still
    40:45
    veneration and his new
    40:48
latest book giants gods and dragons
    40:51
exposing the fallen realm and the plot
    40:53
to ignite the final war of the ages
    40:55
    and his soon-to-be-published book
    40:59
so they are cranking it out and if you
    41:01
    haven’t followed sharon gilbert’s
    41:03
uh books or series that are uh
    41:07
taking i i i see nothing but rave
    41:10
    reviews
    41:11
about sharon gilbert and the following
    41:14
    that she has that are
    41:15
faithful and loyal to her as an author
    41:18
and the two of you are certainly a match
    41:21
    made in heaven
    41:23
    amen that
    41:26
i know your father said you married up
    41:28
    and uh
    41:30
you know i think that the two of you
    41:33
as researchers and the depth you go to
    41:37
    are really quite unique in
    41:40
the body of messiah and i have the
    41:43
utmost respect for what you do and what
    41:45
    you bring to the table
    41:48
we don’t we don’t spend enough time
    41:51
as our good friend mike heiser talks
    41:54
about in that inner testamental period
    41:56
    trying to understand the context
    41:58
of what life was like during those 400
    42:01
    years
    42:02
it’s easy to take the written word uh
    42:04
ending in second chronicles in my bible
    42:07
and in malachi in your bible
    42:09
and analyzing that and looking at that
    42:11
and then you’ve got this 400 year gap
    42:13
and it’s as if we’ve gone into this
    42:16
    this uh chasm um
    42:20
of of we don’t know what happened and
    42:23
nobody tells us what happened and so we
    42:25
have to wait until we get to the book of
    42:26
    matthew to
    42:28
hear the story and people don’t realize
    42:31
    that what took place
    42:32
    was geopolitical and social
    42:36
and mythological and had to do with gods
    42:39
and other gods and the fight
    42:42
    to maintain the remnant
    42:46
that were not being overrun what brought
    42:49
    the maccabees
    42:50
    into being to rise up
    42:54
against this desecration of the temple
    42:58
    was a divine appointment and
    43:01
yet the book of enoch and other
    43:05
    of the inter-testamental period writings
    43:07
    have been completely
    43:08
discounted either as satanic or as
    43:14
inaccurate and yes the truth is they’re
    43:18
    not canonized but
    43:19
neither is the talmud neither neither is
    43:24
    strong’s concordance uh it’s not
    43:28
    canonized
    43:29
so you know when we look and we want to
    43:31
    understand
    43:32
    the geopolitical
    43:35
context the what was going on at the
    43:38
    time we
    43:39
have to understand that 400 years
    43:42
    between the last prophetic voice
    43:45
and the coming of messiah and if we
    43:48
    don’t we don’t understand
    43:52
the starting point it’s like it’s like
    43:54
    missing
    43:56
    uh four or five volumes
    43:59
    of a book series and
    44:02
you finish in book six and you’re
    44:05
    starting book 11
    44:07
and you know what happened in between
    44:11
right you have this huge gap of
    44:13
understanding and then people like you
    44:15
and i come along and start talking about
    44:16
these kind of things and they go well
    44:19
uh you completely lost us we don’t
    44:21
    understand but it’s right there
    44:23
in the middle of that period that all
    44:25
    this is taking place
    44:27
and it’s what they’re fighting against
    44:30
    the israelites are still
    44:31
fighting against this these are their
    44:33
    sworn enemies
    44:34
because these were the false gods and
    44:38
we were warned about the false gods and
    44:41
    assimilation
    44:42
all the way through the text even into
    44:44
    the modern day
    44:47
    assimilation is something that’s frowned
    44:49
    upon within the jewish world
    44:51
that’s one of the reasons that sharon
    44:53
    and i um
    44:54
following the publication of a couple of
    44:56
books by a friend of ours doug woodward
    44:58
who’s written two volumes of a book
    45:01
    called rebooting
    45:02
the bible in which he compares the
    45:05
english translations that we have to the
    45:07
    septuagint which was the
    45:09
    translation from hebrew into greek
    45:11
    completed about the year 300
    45:13
bc so about 300 years before jesus birth
    45:16
    these
    45:16
70 scholars which is where we get the
    45:18
    name septuagint
    45:20
working in alexandria egypt under the
    45:22
    direction of the
    45:23
    greek king of egypt ptolemy
    45:26
who wanted a version of the hebrew
    45:29
    scriptures that
    45:30
greek speakers and greek readers could
    45:34
    could understand commissioned these
    45:36
    jewish scholars to translate their
    45:38
    hebrew
    45:39
scriptures into into greek and so we’ve
    45:42
    got
    45:43
a time stamp on that edition of
    45:46
the bible copies of that still exist
    45:48
    have been translated into english
    45:50
there is the uh the brenton translation
    45:53
    which is
    45:53
uh in the public domain your viewers can
    45:56
    find it online and
    45:57
and search through it there there’s been
    46:00
    a more modern translation by
    46:01
faith life um the publisher is the logo
    46:04
study bible which is a more modern
    46:06
    english rendering of the
    46:07
the older text but the point that’s
    46:09
relevant here and what doug was
    46:12
was was trying to communicate in his
    46:13
books and and does so very well
    46:16
rebooting the bible is that there are
    46:18
    some key differences between
    46:20
    the septuagint bible this
    46:23
which was the bible that would have been
    46:24
used of the scriptures that were
    46:25
    available
    46:27
to the uh to the apostles in the first
    46:29
    century a.d
    46:31
    and the masoretic hebrew text
    46:34
which is what our english translations
    46:36
    are based on right
    46:37
and the masoretes didn’t complete their
    46:39
    bible uh didn’t complete their
    46:41
    translations or their
    46:42
scriptures their copies until about the
    46:44
    10th century a.d
    46:46
so we’re talking about 1200 years
    46:48
    difference between the septuagint and
    46:50
    the masoretic text
    46:51
on which our english translations are
    46:53
based and so when you compare
    46:55
anything in the old testament from our
    46:58
    bibles to the
    46:59
    septuagint translation look for
    47:02
some some key differences here in fact i
    47:04
was thinking about one that i should
    47:05
    have mentioned earlier which
    47:07
i think is really intriguing is that in
    47:09
    ezekiel chapter 28
    47:11
which is again is that that chapter that
    47:14
probably refers to the casting out of
    47:16
    the rebel from eden
    47:19
um and it uh it makes reference to
    47:21
    placing you
    47:23
uh let me see if i can find the the
    47:25
scripture here very quickly you were an
    47:26
anointed guardian cherub i placed you
    47:28
you were on the holy mountain of god in
    47:30
the midst of the stones of fire you
    47:32
    walked
    47:33
and by the way speaking of another
    47:34
    inter-testamental text you mentioned the
    47:36
    book of enoch
    47:37
dr michael heiser points out that the
    47:39
    description in
    47:41
the book of enoch of the the angels who
    47:44
    sinned who were being punished
    47:45
being described in the netherworld as
    47:47
    burning mountains
    47:48
suggest that the stones of fire here in
    47:50
ezekiel 28 are not the asteroid belt
    47:54
this is not the breakup of the planet
    47:56
    rahab into the asteroid belt
    47:58
these are the entities the other
    47:59
    supernatural entities that were with
    48:00
adam and eve in the garden
    48:02
in the midst of the stones of fire you
    48:04
    walked but the septuagint translation
    48:06
reads this from the day you were created
    48:08
    i placed you
    48:09
with the cherub in the holy mountain of
    48:12
god you came to be in the middle of
    48:14
    fiery stones
    48:15
and then verse 16 reads because of the
    48:17
abundance of your merchandise you filled
    48:18
    your treasuries with lawnessness
    48:20
lawlessness and you were sinned and were
    48:22
wounded from the mountain of god
    48:24
and the cherub led you out of the middle
    48:27
of the fiery stones in other words
    48:29
this is not the cherub who sinned he was
    48:32
there with the guardian sheriff who
    48:34
covered who was responsible for kicking
    48:36
    him out so
    48:37
that’s a key difference there and
    48:40
doug has pointed out that the septuagint
    48:42
translation in a number of places
    48:44
    de-emphasizes the existence of other
    48:46
    supernatural
    48:47
entities or rather the masoretic text
    48:50
    over the septuagint
    48:51
    the septuagint acknowledges the
    48:53
    existence of these other
    48:55
spirit beings if you will like the
    48:57
    cherubim makes reference to
    48:59
the giants and the titans in certain
    49:01
    phrases where they’ve been translated
    49:02
    out
    49:03
and into our english bibles as shades or
    49:06
mighty men and and so on so yeah it’s
    49:09
    it’s worth
    49:10
looking at that septuagint to get an
    49:12
idea of what was in the minds of jewish
    49:14
    religious scholars during this
    49:16
    inter-testamental period this period
    49:17
    between
    49:18
uh well second chronicles in your bible
    49:20
    malachi and our bible
    49:22
uh and uh the beginning of the uh uh the
    49:25
    new testament
    49:26
    so it’s so fascinating so
    49:30
    extraordinarily exciting that
    49:34
we are able to uncover this one of the
    49:35
beautiful parts about the fact that the
    49:37
septuagint was translated into greek by
    49:39
jewish scholars allowed us to come up
    49:42
    with a complete hebrew bible
    49:44
which then took the same methodology
    49:48
that they used to convert the hebrew to
    49:50
    greek to apply the greek
    49:52
hebrew of the new testament so that we
    49:55
    have an entire
    49:56
    uh complete hebrew bible
    50:00
    which includes and using
    50:03
    the hebrew text of revelation
    50:07
as opposed to the greek text of
    50:09
    revelation we’re able to recapture
    50:12
    the imagery and the linguistic
    50:16
    tools that
    50:19
    the jewish mind of john
    50:22
was employing and the 500 references to
    50:26
the old testament become much clearer
    50:28
in the hebrew translation of it than it
    50:30
does in the greek translation because
    50:33
what he does is he uses flawed greek
    50:38
semantically to kind of make little
    50:42
those little stickers with pointers on
    50:43
    it and and
    50:45
he because he’s so fluent in greek that
    50:47
    when he makes an
    50:48
error he makes it on purpose to say you
    50:51
    need to look somewhere
    50:52
disappointing you got to go look
    50:54
    somewhere else don’t look here
    50:56
look somewhere else for the real answer
    50:58
    for what i’m telling you
    50:59
and he used it as a as as pointers well
    51:03
    when you get
    51:04
    into the complete hebrew text
    51:07
of the entirety of the bible we don’t
    51:10
    have to employ those
    51:12
    those images because they’re already
    51:13
there they’re already there in the name
    51:16
    of
    51:16
leviathan they’re already there in nehes
    51:19
    they’re already
    51:19
there in the plagues of exodus
    51:24
chapter 12 and so 10-12 so
    51:27
    it becomes easier for the
    51:31
    jewish scholar to examine
    51:34
the new testament in a hebrew context
    51:37
    because
    51:38
it were such a picturesque these are
    51:41
    word pictures every word
    51:43
and every letter has a picture to it and
    51:45
    it’s it’s
    51:46
uh although it was the first
    51:50
language of the time it was a second
    51:53
language to the hebrew mind it’s still
    51:56
a second language to the hebrew mind and
    51:59
    so
    52:00
    things like um uh
    52:04
you know does the bible say there has to
    52:06
    be a third temple
    52:09
well there’s no line in the bible that
    52:10
says that there has to be
    52:12
    a third temple okay but
    52:16
    the restoration of jewish worship
    52:18
    implies
    52:20
that you can’t have jewish worship
    52:21
unless you have at least an altar
    52:23
which is where zerubbabel started so if
    52:26
    you have an
    52:26
altar there’s gonna be a covering over
    52:28
    the altar and
    52:29
that itself would be a third temple
    52:33
whether it’s ornate whether or not it’s
    52:35
    completed whether or not it’s
    52:37
it’s anything more than a hippa anything
    52:40
    more than a canopy
    52:42
it’s going to be considered to be the
    52:44
    third temple regardless of
    52:46
what the iteration of it does if it’s
    52:48
    gold it’s great
    52:49
if it’s got beautiful rooms it’s great
    52:52
    it was just an
    52:52
altar and a covering and a labra bowl
    52:56
and a menorah and table show bread and
    53:00
    an altar of incense
    53:01
it’s the temple so the concept of naos
    53:05
your body is the temple of the lord
    53:07
    would say that well
    53:09
you could still have the defilement and
    53:11
the abomination of desolation we would
    53:12
    happen to have
    53:14
have to happen to everybody and
    53:18
that’s less natural to me than
    53:21
    uh having a physical
    53:24
spot but unfortunately you and i have
    53:27
    run out of time
    53:29
but i will get to see you again uh
    53:32
on may the 10th and so i am so looking
    53:35
    forward
    53:35
to that time together and uh just pray
    53:38
    blessings on you
    53:40
on the new studios there our
    53:44
best regards to tom and the entire team
    53:47
    at skywatch
    53:48
and as the future changes we will
    53:54
be in touch and talk about uh some
    53:56
transitional thoughts and some new ideas
    53:59
and uh look for ways to continue to
    54:01
    partner
    54:02
in the future because these are kingdom
    54:05
friendships that uh were not birthed by
    54:07
    accident
    54:08
uh amen there’s there are connections
    54:10
    here that are
    54:12
long-lasting and enduring and so we
    54:14
    appreciate that
    54:15
amen blessings to you jason and your
    54:18
    ministry look forward to
    54:19
