E ora? Come mai The Hammer ritorna protagonista negli ultimi mesi?

The Hammer: The decline of privacy and Western democracy?

Clara B. Night

After the bloody attack of September 11, 2001, the United States considers it vital to have sophisticated and powerful counter-terrorism systems. Thus was born one of these systems, the super computer The Hammer.

The programmer Dennis Montgomery is the inventor of The Hammer. Montgomery is a software designer formerly a collaborator of the CIA, FBI, NSA and the defense department.

The Hammer is a complex foreign surveillance system that was originally intended to protect American citizens from hypothetical terrorist attacks, thereby averting a new 9/11.

Hammer’s operation is very advanced. In fact, this super computer is able to enter the individual protected devices and networks via the internet. Ios, Android, Windows and even Samsung TV operating systems can be controlled. In this way they allow Hammer, through keywords, to secretly access the contents of any computer, tablet or smartphone.

Something changes in 2009 with the advent of the Obama administration. The Hammer, in fact, is secretly transported to the military stronghold of Fort Washington in Maryland. From here he continues his activity, apparently without changes, until, in 2015, Dennis Montgomery becomes a ‘wistleblower’.

The engineer hands over 47 files to the FBI accusing the government of using The Hammer to spy on American citizens, thus violating the criminal code on espionage.

The issue of the invasion of privacy in the United States had already been brought to light in 2013 when Edward Snowden had denounced how the PRISM program had been used for mass surveillance of the American people. An illegal surveillance that deeply undermines the concept of privacy to which we have been accustomed.

Montgomery’s testimony goes further, stating that the spying carried out through The Hammer targeted Obama’s opponents, especially Donald Trump and all those connected in any way with him. These included family members of the President, companies, members of the military, congressmen and even Supreme Court judges.

It is March 19, 2017 when General Thomas McInerney participates in a live broadcast on Operation Freedom with Dr. D. Janda, making Montgomery’s worrying statements public. The Hammer, argues McInerney, is used to spy on American citizens and in particular the then newly elected President Donald Trump ‘a million times’. More worryingly, CIA Director John Brennan and NSA Director James Clapper are not only aware of it but are directly responsible for it.

This is only the first of a series of alarming episodes that have undermined the reputation of Hammer and especially of the American government in recent years. Judge G. Murray Snow makes Montgomery’s files public and the newspaper WikiLeaks also publishes a series of files called ‘VAULT 7: CIA Hacking Tools Revealed’ in which The Hammer is referred to as HAMR and its use is confirmed.

Following McInerney’s statements, telephone messages are exchanged between members of the FBI regarding Montgomery. The next morning, FBI Director Jim Comey thought it best to launch the alleged Russiagate, in which the Trump administration was accused of having won the elections thanks to interference from the Russian government. Comey lies to Congress that the FBI had no evidence of spying on Trump.

After these declarations, the events that follow one another shed new light on the story. New witnesses and new statements emerge, James Baker of the FBI confirms that he received the files from Montgomery and even Evelyn Farkas, who worked in the Obama defense department admits in an interview that the administration was spying on Donald Trump.

And now? Why is The Hammer returning as a protagonist in recent months?

In an interview with General McInerny, Steve Bannon, he makes public a further step in the deep state scheme. The Hammer in fact would have been used, in combination with a software called Scorecard to alter the election results. Admiral Lyons even revealed to McInerney that ‘Hammer is the key to the coup’.

McInerny argues that this system was used not only in the US elections of 2020 but also in the French elections of 2012, for the primary of 2020 and there was even an attempt in the presidential elections of 2016 between Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton. Here McInerney stops saying that he ‘can’t talk about these things’.

McInerny isn’t the only one talking about it. Kirk Wiebe, a former NSA analyst, denounces the illegality of using these systems in several interviews. Wiebe explains how Scorecard in combination with Hammer would have been able to instantly modify the votes received digitally as they are transferred to the central database. This software acts in an untraceable way when used on low percentages of votes. Sidney Powell, Michael Flynn’s attorney, is leading a legal campaign against hypothetical electoral fraud right now.

As McInerny said, there will be a need for more ‘wistleblowers’ to come forward and serious investigations to definitively prove these allegations. But at this point one wonders whether it is somehow possible to talk about Western democracy again, given the deep-rooted presence of interference in what should be a democratic system where the people decide the government. Joseph Stalin argued that “It is not the people who vote that count, but the people who count the votes.” In this case we would have to add “The people who control computer systems”. I leave you with this reflection.

Meanwhile, President Trump still isn’t giving up on being president.

Yesterday saw his legal team distance itself from lawyer Sidney Powell, and it would appear Team Trump will press ahead with challenges to the election results on primarily constitutional grounds.

These will be in terms of the process by which vote-by-mail was introduced (which should only have been via the state legislature), or the precedent established in Bush vs Gore in 2000 (i.e., that in some states voters had to show ID to vote in person, but not by mail, so “unequal treatment”): those cases will likely end up at the Supreme Court soon.

At the same time, Powell will press ahead solo with her “Kraken” suit alleging orchestrated election fraud via manipulation of voting machines by foreign “communist” forces, possibly intelligence agencies, and aided by members of both the Democrat and Republican parties.

To many, including Supreme Court justices no doubt, all this lacks is Milhouse from The Simpsons talking about “reverse vampires” and saying “We are through the looking glass here people.”

Then again, so much of what has happened over the past four years would not have been believed ten years ago: and, boy, will it fire up the Trump base as an unavoidable civil war in both US parties of centre vs. populists starts to play out ahead.

“significant evidence of non-citizen participation in the U.S. electoral system”

All the follow-up data, such as checks of actual rosters, indicate that 2.8 million to 7.9 million noncitizens were registered to vote in 2008, Just Facts says.

In previous elections, ground zero on the noncitizen debate had resided at Old Dominion University in Norfolk, Virginia, and political science professor Jesse Richman.

Based on the same census data and polling as Just Facts, Mr. Richman published what appear to be the first comprehensive studies that show significant numbers of noncitizens voting. He estimated that 2016 Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton garnered thousands of noncitizens votes. His numbers prompted Mr. Trump to make unsubstantiated claims about the popular vote he had lost.

Other political science professors reacted by bullying Mr. Richman in an open letter calling for colleagues to blacklist his studies.

“The scholarly political science community has generally rejected the findings in the Richman et al. study and we believe it should not be cited or used in any debate over fraudulent voting,” the letter said.

The Harvard/YouGov survey, known officially as the Cooperative Congressional Election Study, contains too small a sample of noncitizens to draw conclusions, the blacklisters said.

Mr. Richman has defended his landmark work.

“I agree with the authors of the letter that the upper end of this interval may have played an unfortunate role in the president’s rhetoric,” Mr. Richman wrote in a blog. “I have, as noted above, attempted to push back against this. I will continue to do so as I think it is important that people not get fooled by an extreme upper end estimate that is almost certainly way way way too high.”

He added: “We show that even if their response error argument is correct, there is still significant evidence of non-citizen participation in the U.S. electoral system.”

Last year, Texas officials found 95,000 noncitizens illegally registered to vote. The state compared drivers licenses, which contain immigration status, to voter rolls.

Reexamination of an all-in-one voting machine

March 8, 2019 by Andrew Appel
The co-chair of the New York State Board of Elections has formally requested that the Election Operations Unit of the State Board re-examine the State’s certification of the Dominion ImageCast Evolution voting machine.

The Dominion ImageCast Evolution (also called Dominion ICE) is an “all-in-one” voting machine that combines in the same paper path an optical scanner (for hand-marked bubble ballots) with a printer (for machine-marked ballots via a touchscreen or audio interface).

Last October, I explained that why this is such a bad idea that it should be considered a design flaw: if a hacker were able to install fraudulent software into the ICE, that software could print additional votes onto a voter’s ballot after the last time the voter sees the ballot. I’ll just give one example of what the hacker’s vote-stealing software could do: In any race where the voter undervotes (does not mark a choice), the hacked software could print a vote into the bubble for the candidate that the hacker wants to win.

The manufacturer may argue that “our software doesn’t do that;” true enough, the factory-installed software doesn’t do that–unless hackers hack into the manufacturer’s network. They may argue that “our voting machines are not hackable;” well, it’s admirable that they are using modern-day authentication methods for the installation of new software, but in the current state of the art, it’s still the case that practically any computer is hackable.

And therefore, we rely on recounts and risk-limiting audits of the paper ballot as marked by the voter as our ultimate protection against computer hacking. An all-in-one voting machine, that combines printing and scanning into the same paper path, seriously compromises that protection.

Douglas A. Kellner, co-chair of the New York State Board of elections, wrote on March 7 2019 to his fellow Board commissioners,

Two respected professors of computer science have provided reports that the Dominion ImageCast Evolution voting machine has a “design flaw.” … “after you mark your ballot, after you review your ballot, the voting machine can print more votes on it!” …

[New York State] Election Law § 7-201 requires that the State Board of Elections examine and approve each type of voting machine or voting system before it can be used in New York State…. The examination criteria for certification of voting equipment … requires … “the vendor shall identify each potential point of attack.” …

I have carefully reviewed Dominion’s [submission]. I do not see anything in the submission that addressed the point of attack or threats identified by Professors Appel and DeMillo. …

If there is a serious possibility that an insider could install malware that could program the printer to add marks to a ballot without the possibility of verification by the voter, then the entire audit process is compromised and circumvented. If it was possible for the machine to add a voting mark to the ballot without verification by the voter, the audit is not meaningful because it cannot confirm that the ballot was counted in the manner intended by the voter. …

Election Law § 7-201(3) provides that: “If at any time after any machine or system has been approved,…the state board of elections has any reason to believe that such machine or system does not meet all the requirements for voting machines or systems set forth in this article, it shall forthwith cause such machine or system to be examined again.” …

In view of the omission of the security threats identified by Professors Appel and DeMillo in the submission by Dominion in support of its application for certification of the ImageCast Evolution, and in view of the absence of any analysis of this issue in the SLI and NYSTEC reports, I request that the Election Operations Unit of the State Board examine again the ImageCast Evolution to consider the vulnerability of the voting system because the printer could be programmed to add marks to ballots without verification by the voter, and that SLI and NYSTEC supplement their reports with respect to these issues.

“In Line 3, at 12:12 AM, the fraud began, by calling up data that looks like was from an hour earlier. Total votes suddenly shrank to 3,199,165, a loss of 373,462 votes.

In an honest election the vote totals never go backwards. They always get larger, because votes are continually being counted and added to the totals. This is prima facie evidence of fraud being committed, by humans directly intervening in the tabulation of votes, in real time. Software “algorithms” don’t work this way; the do their dirty work surreptitiously, in small increments.

However, the old data in Line 3 also flipped the election back to Trump (50.2%) from Biden (48.2%) — definitely not what the crooks wanted. Also, from Line 2 to Line 3 Biden lost 37,510 votes, and it was important to the fraudsters to recover those. So in Lines 4 and 5 they got to work, restoring Biden’s lead (51.9%) by adding 421,060 Biden votes compared to Trump’s (46.5%) additional 152,909 votes.

But this action inflated the overall vote total to 3,782,386, which re-created the problem of too many total votes. So the crooks backtracked.”

And Elizabeth Speck, the former chair and now secretary of the Greenlee GOP, had her own concerns.

“I’ve always been very skeptical of electronic voting machines,” she said. Speck said she worries about software and hardware that essentially sits unnoticed in equipment until activated.

“The legislature has the ability to interview witnesses, review complaints, and most importantly, engage the services of an independent professional IT security firm, who have the expertise to conduct a forensic audit of the suspect software, determine if irregularities exist and provide piece of mind to the voters of this state,” the letter to Ducey reads “We must begin this process immediately before the election is certified.”

What the county chairs want goes beyond what even is being sought by the Arizona Republican Party.

It’s lawsuit, playing out in Maricopa County Superior Court, is demanding that hand-count review be done on a precinct-by-precinct basis even though state law specifically allows counties to set up vote centers rather than force people to cast a ballot at a specific neighborhood location. A judge will hear arguments on that Wednesday.

Pinal GOP chair ‘hearing stories’ about voting machines in Maricopa County

BY Howard Fischer Capitol Media Services

PHOENIX — Top officials of the 15 Republican county committees want a special session — and soon — to order an audit of the machinery used to count ballots.

    But only in Maricopa County.

Michael Burke, who heads the Pinal GOP, delivered a letter to the governor Tuesday asking that he call lawmakers back to the Capitol to approve a special one-time law requiring an examination of the software used in machines made by Dominion Voting Systems. Burke said he and his colleagues — the letter was signed on behalf of 14 county chairs and one vice-chair — do not believe that Democrat Joe Biden could have picked up so many more new votes in 2020 in the state’s largest county than Hillary Clinton got four years ago absent a software problem.

But the letter does not call for the same kind of examination of the tabulating machines in other counties where the results for the president were much more favorable. This, Burke said, needs to be focused on Maricopa County.

And Donna Tanzi, who chairs the Yavapai County Republican Committee, said things ran smoothly in her county. It is only in Maricopa, which gave Biden about 45,100 more votes than Trump out of nearly 2.1 million cast, that the GOP officials say there needs to be a closer look.

Those Maricopa votes are crucial: Biden won Arizona by fewer than 11,000 votes.

Burke said he hand delivered the letter Tuesday afternoon to the governor’s office. An aide to the governor said the letter has not yet been reviewed.

Senate President Karen Fann said she has her own questions about election procedures. And, going forward, she is looking at examining state election laws and procedures to ensure there are sufficient safeguards and that voters have “100% confidence” in the system.

But Fann told Capitol Media Services there is virtually no chance that what the party officials want will happen, even if the governor agrees to go along. She said there simply isn’t the time to enact a special law, have it take effect and examine the software before the votes cast this year need to be formally canvassed, something that has to occur no later than Dec. 3.

“I realize this is a Hail Mary,” Burke said. But he said he remains convinced that the legislature is constitutionally empowered to do what it wants on presidential elections.

What the request comes down to, the party chairs told Capitol Media Services, is that they’ve heard things.

“We’re hearing stories about Dominion software changing votes, doing all kinds of unfortunate things,” Burke said.

“I don’t know if that’s true or not,” he conceded. “But let’s find out.”

Tanzi said her particular concern is the Dominion software, “or any software for that matter, and how is that being handled.”

There already are auditing procedures that were established and approved by the Republican-controlled legislature. These involve taking random samples from precincts chosen by officials of the two major parties and doing a hand count, comparing what humans find with what the machine tallied.

If the results fall within the margin of error, that’s the end of it.

But if not, the size of the sample continues to increase until the numbers correspond, potentially getting to a point — which has never happened — where all the ballots are reviewed by hand and that becomes the official count.

In fact, if that were to occur, there already is a requirement in the law for the secretary of state to furnish the “source code” used in the machines to a superior court judge. And the judge then is required to appoint a special master to review the software.

The GOP county chairs, however, want the legislature to short-circuit all of those existing laws and order a special audit this year of the Dominion software.

“We just want to have somebody who is an expert at IT security take a look at that software and make sure it’s fine,” said Burke who put the letter together.

Tanzi, for her part, said she’s not convinced the hand count already authorized in law will answer all the questions.

“That should catch a lot of things,” she said. But Tanzi said pulling out a sample “could mean there’s a whole section that is missed.”

For his part, Russ Jones who chairs the Yuma GOP, said he has yet to see any hard evidence that the Dominion software, which not used in his county, has caused problems. But Jones said he supported the call for the special audit “so we can satisfy, once and for all in Arizona, that the issues that apparently exist or may exist elsewhere did not occur in Arizona.”

“It’s a matter of voter confidence in our systems,” he said.

Ducey, who has remained silent on the entire election and the results, is a critical player in all of this because he can bring lawmakers to the Capitol on any issue he wants. It would take a two-thirds vote for legislators to call themselves into special session, something that would require Democrat support.

But Fann said even if the Republicans who control the House and Senate did marshal the votes for the audit, they lack the two-thirds vote to have it take effect immediately. And the Arizona Constitution says laws cannot take effect until at least 90 days after the end of the session.

That means not just blowing by the canvass schedule but also the Dec. 14 date for the state’s 11 electors to cast their votes — and even the Jan. 20 date for the presidential inauguration.

While the letter to Ducey represents GOP officials from all 15 counties, it may not reflect the views of each of the local chairs.

David Eppihimer, chair of the Pima Republican committee, said he never signed such a letter, never authorized his signature and, in fact, does not support a special legislative session.

He told Capitol Media Services the only letter he agreed to support was one saying that if Pima County had been using Dominion voting machines he never would have agreed to certifying the results.

Burke, however, said he has an email from Eppihimer agreeing to support the call for a special session.

Howard Fischer is a veteran journalist who has reported on state government and legal affairs in Arizona since 1982, the last 25 for Capitol Media Services which he founded in 1991.

Look, O Lord, on the Face of Thy Christ (Ps. lxxxiii. 10), who became obedient unto death to Thee.

Let not the marks of His Wounds depart ever from Thine Eyes, but remember rather what satisfaction Thou hast received for our sins.

O Lord, weigh in Thy balance the sins by which we have merited Thine anger, and the grief which Thy sinless Son has borne for us.

Surely, O Lord, this grief of His will show more grievous than our sins, and cry louder to Thee to pour forth all Thy mercy on us than they can cry that Thou shouldest shut up Thy mercies in anger.

O Lord, holy Father, let every tongue give thanks to Thee for the abundance of Thy mercy, which spared not the only Son of Thy Bosom, but gave Him up to die for us, that we might have so great and so faithful an Advocate before Thee in heaven.

We further find that if these updates were only more extreme than 99% of all updates nationally in terms of their deviation from this generally-observed pattern, that, holding all else equal, Joe Biden may very well have lost the states of Michigan, Wisconsin, and Georgia, and that he would have 42 fewer Electoral votes — putting Biden below the number required to win the Presidency. Either way, it is indisputable that his margin of victory in these three states relies on four most anomalous vote updates identified by the metric developed in this report.

Witness describes 570,000-vote ‘spike’ for Biden
Bombshell testimony at #Pennsylvania hearing draws gasps

Giuliani then asked, “When you look at this curve with all of these spikes, can you calculate how much of a vote that accounted for Biden and how much for Trump?”

“Close to 600,000 … I think our figures were about 570-some-odd-thousand,” the witnessed replied.

“And how much for Trump?” Giuliani followed up.

“I think it was a little over 3,200,” he said, drawing gasps and laughter.

During the meeting, one witness came forward to allege a suspicious ballot dump that favoured Biden.

“Normally, you would expect to see a smooth curve going up, not any big spikes,” the witness testified, referencing the “anomalies of loading those votes” and pointing to a “prime indicator of fraudulent voting.”

Giuliani asked him to confirm the volume of votes counted in 90 minutes. The witness then identified 337,000 votes in that time span.

“When you look at this entire curve—with all these spikes—can you calculate how much of a vote was counted for Biden and how much for Trump?” Giuliani pressed.

The witnessed replied: “Close to 600,000 [votes]. I think our figures were about 570-some-odd-thousand that all those spikes represent over time.”

“For Biden?” Giuliani questioned. “Correct,” the witnessed responded, counting only “a little over 3,200” votes for Trump. The crowd then erupted into gasps and laughter. “How about that?” one attendee uttered on camera.
