Deputy of the Ukrainian Verkhovna Rada, Andriy Derkach, presented what he claimed were new recordings of telephone conversations between the former President of Ukraine, Petro Poroshenko, and former Vice President of the United States, Joe Biden. At a press conference in Kyiv, Derkach said they presented new facts of specific cooperation between those he accused.
Andrii Derkach is a politician and businessman who is a member of the Ukrainian parliament (Verhovna Rada) and an activist of the Russian Orthodox Church. On December 5, 2019, Derkach met with U.S. President Donald Trump’s personal lawyer Rudy Giuliani in Kyiv to put together a corruption case against former Vice President Joe Biden’s son Hunter.

The new information was leaked this week. The initial press conference took place last month. The first topic of entries concerns receiving “$1 billion in exchange for saving Burisma schemes.” He claims that he received all the tapes from investigative journalists, and the recording of conversations was made personally by Poroshenko.

Derkach is a politician and businessman who is a member of the Ukrainian parliament and an activist of the Russian Orthodox Church.

The new content has already been referred to as “Derkach’s series of bombshells.” According to him, then-Vice President Biden demanded that then-President Poroshenko maintain schemes for the sale of Russian gas, beneficial to both sides. Moreover, Biden directly reported to the head of NAC Naftogaz of Ukraine, Andriy Kobolev.

Naftogaz of Ukraine is the national oil and gas company of Ukraine. It is a state-owned company subordinated to the Government of Ukraine. The company is involved with extraction, transportation, and refinement of natural gas and crude oil.

The tape allegedly has Biden’s voice (the new release has not been authenticated as of yet, if in fact the voice belongs to Biden) stating “his team is working closely with the leadership of Naftogaz.” The voice insisted that the managers, in particular, the head of the company, Kobolev, remain in their places.

The need to keep Kobolev at the helm of Naftogaz was required to continue the scheme to reverse Russian gas through the territory of Slovakia, with a significant markup, which allowed us to appropriate about $1.5 billion.
Petro Poroshenko is a Ukrainian businessman and politician who served as the fifth President of Ukraine from 2014 to 2019.

Poroshenko promises Biden that he will not change the head of Naftogaz, despite the fact that it was requested by the then Prime Minister of Ukraine, Vladimir Groysman.

Vladimir Groysman is a Ukrainian politician who was the Prime Minister of Ukraine from 14 April 2016 to 29 August 2019.

Biden learned about the problems with the possible removal of Kobolev from Amos Hochstein, the head of the Supervisory Board of Naftogaz, and one of the key figures in the scheme of fabulous enrichment.

Additionally, at this press conference, it was stated that Kobolev compares his actions in Ukraine with the billionaire, George Soros, writing out business trips to London to himself and his associates from Naftogaz. This is confirmed by the document. To note, Soros is blamed for everything and is a popular name to throw in for the publicity purposes.

At this time, investigation is open pertaining the new materials released last month. It is expected that all materials will be investigated. The outcome of them remains to be seen, if in fact the charges will be laid against Poroshenko pertaining these materials.
