Is Joel Rogers The Man Behind The US President? By Gina Gomez
EXCERPT
It has now been predicted by the Fox News commentator (Glenn Beck) that Joel Rogers is the man who shapes all the policies which come out of the President’s head.
It has come to light that during the 1990s Barack Obama funded the Climate Credit Exchange program in Chicago from the Joyce Foundation.
While the Cap and Trade bill is now pending in the Senate, the previous exchange program has traded carbon credits already.
This is of utmost importance if the Cap and Trade bill has to be instituted.
Also it has been revealed that Franklin Raines, one of the President’s chief fundraisers had bought the technology required for the management of the Cap and Trade bill while he is the head of Fannie Mae.
The question in everybody’s mind is why would a mortgage lender like Fannie Mae invest money for such a purpose.
Speculation is still high but Glenn Beck has passed the verdict that Joel Rogers is in the center of it all.

There is a part of me that believes there are some on the left who are contemptuous of average Americans.
Not held in high regard. Thought too stupid or too distracted to notice what they’re up to.
So not yet buying into GBs latest theory, just listening.

Almost every web reference that I see about Raymond refers to him being an AIDS patient.
That just isn’t true.
Raymond is not your poster boy.
Yes. he was HIV positive, but he hadn’t yet gotten full-blown AIDS.
Maybe it was a blessing.
He traveled to Nashville to meet with a doctor who did autopsies on AIDS patients.
The scalpel slipped, and this doctor, unfortunately acquired AIDS.
I have Raymond’s notes.
Very shortly thereafter, Raymond became infected with a pseudomonad which killed him.
His immune system was too weak to fight it off.
Today, Raymond would still be alive.
When this doctor heard of Raymond’s death, he ciried, oh no, not Raymond’s mind.
But Raymond’s mind still exists.
And, sometimes, I’m fortunate enough to be on the receiving end of Raymond’s mind.
Raymond made that trip to acquire the film rights of this doctor’s life.
I do remember seeing the book, but I don’t know if there’s a film yet.
The film you might have seen recently is about the autistic woman who overcame obstacles and designed more humane slaughterhouses.
Incredible.
He was very proud of that.

(Would it surprise you to learn that I really don’t care if Obama smoked crack? really don’t care about Obama’s sexual orientation? But Donald Young’s murder is very troubling to me. I’m not making any implications as to Obama having anything to do with that. Larry and I agreed to disagree on that one.)
(As far as the long-form birth certificate, which none of us has seen, there may be something on there that Obama doesn’t want us to see. Would it make him ineligible? Who knows! I’ve long held the view that even if Obama not de jure, he is de facto head of state.)
(I don’t care about a lot. So what do I care about? I care about private property rights. The growth of the public sector is frightening to me. I care about these United States becoming less exceptional. I care about the rest of the world not looking to us for leadership.)
(This is way off topic, but I favor HCR that emulates the system they have in Switzerland. And I look to Regina Herzlinger for leadership on that issue. And she has come out against ObamaCare.)

The patent, which Fannie Mae confirmed it still owns with Cantor Fitzgerald subsidiary CO2e.com, gives the mortgage giant a lock on the fledgling carbon trading market, thus also giving it a major financial stake in the success of cap-and-trade legislation.
Besides Raines, the other “inventors” are:
* Former Fannie Vice President and Deputy General Counsel G. Scott Lesmes, who provided legal advice on Fannie Mae’s debt and equity offerings;
* Former Fannie Vice President Robert Sahadi, who now runs GreenSpace Investment Financial Services out of his 5,002-square-foot Clarksburg home;
* 2008 Barack Obama fundraiser Kenneth Berlin, an environmental law partner at Skadden Arps;
* Michelle Desiderio, director of the National Green Building Certification program, which trains “green” monitors;
* Former Cantor Fitzgerald employee Elizabeth Arner Cavey, wife of Democratic donor Brian Cavey of the Stanton Park Group, which received $200,000 last year to lobby on climate change legislation; and
* Jane Bartels, widow of former CO2e.com CEO Carlton Bartels. Three weeks before Carlton Bartels was killed in the Sept. 11 attacks, he filed for another patent on the software used in 2003 to set up the Chicago Climate Exchange.
The patent, which covers both the “cap” and “trade” parts of Obama’s top domestic energy initiation, gives Fannie Mae
proprietary control over an automated trading system
that pools and sells credits for hard-to-quantify residential carbon reduction efforts
(such as solar panels and high-efficiency appliances)
to companies and utilities that don’t meet emission reduction targets.
Depending on where the Environmental Protection Agency sets arbitrary CO2 standards, that could be every company in America.

With an emissions trading scheme almost upon us, businesses and inventors are already starting to apply for and secure patents for innovative methods of trading emissions, as well as for clean, energy-efficient technologies.
For example, in the United States several patents have already been granted for ways to trade residential emissions (eg, see US Patents 7343341, 6904336 and 7133750).
Similar patents are expected to be granted in Australia.
So, while climate change does indeed present a challenge to industry and the community generally, Australian innovators are well placed to seize the opportunities presented.

And Beck’s year-to-year drop since April 2009 was more modest than others — 7 percent among total viewers and 6 percent in the age 25-54 demographic (the viewership advertisers most covet).
By comparison, MSNBC’s Keith Olbermann saw a ratings drop of 13 percent overall and 30 percent in the 25-54 demographic over the same period, and
CNN’s prime-time hosts have taken an even steeper fall, down 40 percent overall from a year ago.

We know how well the hokey pokey between Wall Street and Washington worked out.
Well now we move on to Carbon, or frankly, ANY emission’s exchange.
There is a Chicago based company called the Chicago Climate Exchange, Inc.
This company was originally funded by seed capital from the city’s Joyce Foundation where President Obama was a board member of at the time of its funding.
Now, the Chicago Climate Exchange is trading about $10 billion a month worldwide according to an interview by its founder (and patent holder) Richard Sandor.
Former Chief of Goldman Sachs, Hank Paulsen was also key in the founding of this company and exchange.
Rewind two years from the time their patent was approved and our very own Fannie Mae received approval for their patent of a residential emission exchange.
Which, by the way, was approved the same day the political right sealed their fate, November 7th, 2006.
Richard Sandor claims this exchange will be global and will become a $10 trillion market.
*** So the question is what cunning schemes Washington and other global leaders devise to create a market that will have artificial value? ***
In an interview with Bloomberg Sandor said that there is no risk of the emissions market ever crashing because it’s “regulated” and not open like mortgage-backed securities.
Mortgage-backed securities WERE highly regulated.
So you likely understand my concern with the SEC regulating an industry that according to Sandor doesn’t have the “opaque” value mortgage-backed securities had when that same agency doesn’t have a stellar record when it comes to securities trading.
Furthemore, Goldman Sachs,
a favorite of President Obama and many other Democrats in Congress,
just happens to own 19% of the parent company of this Chicago based emissions exchange company called Climate Exchange Plc.
