ohhh geez, why would he say that?!? I think he really does mean well. I think he is just a country boy. Ofcourse I thought Korir meant well too…lol… I can be naive and I really do try to have faith in people, but have gotten burnt more then once!

  14. j.b. Says:

Well, I choose to remain optimistic. It ain’t over ’til it’s over, fat lady sings, etc. I choose to think that the justices are taking the weekend.

There is a presser on Monday, sans Leo, btw (per his blog), and the Berg suit is alive and kicking with some kinda super- duper, secret evidence I happen to believe exists-albeit, I have no idea what it is and I know that sounds ridiculous. (and I don’t care)

However, I still believe that Obeyme is a fraud, a liar, a cheater, an (illegal) immigrant, (omg-Gov. Richardson even said so!), a thug, among other and much worse things.

This weekend I will decorate my house for Christmas, bake more cookies for the holidays (and some brave Marines in Iraq) as I look forward to Monday. For now, I choose to carry on and believe that America is not yet finished with this.

I will also continue to pray for God’s will.

May God Bless America, lead us and protect us.

I went over to check out MS and I find this drsharonsh’tz over their posting this garbage–I think she was talking about API, but all the same, ticked me off:

“There are a lot of people who drop in and out, and many who watch from a safe distance. But, there are those few who you can count on being there day and night, stoking the fires of stupidity.”

But, from what I can see she was on MS ALL day, and even said her husband went to sleep–she fed him a can of chilli… I had to comment.

I was disappointed to see Dixie posting there at MS. Hmmm

Is there no honor among bloggees?

    ****************************
Dr. Sharon was making comments to the chat talk, which I rarely participate in.

For the record let me set something straight. I post on several blogs and forgot how I even got here in the first place but it was over those non existent tapes. I find 95% of you very nice on both blogs. The goal for both this blog and MS blog seems to be the same. What is bama hiding? I came to both blogs when the fighting had already begun about API. I found most of you believe korir here while MS found proof why not to believe him. I certainly like the rest of you wanted to believe a tape existed and an Iman document. I now believe something may have existed, but what I don’t know. A journalist will not just sit on information that important, especially one that has nothing to do with the USA. With one BS story after another and still nothing, well hmmm then it was a hoax which I have my own theories on as to why. Sammy k is his own worst enemy and nobody hacked his website. Just look at the new one. Three weeks now? and it’s still a mess.

Read story two on this link switched.com/tag/419 it might also explain how he made up getting 500K.

So PP I don’t know why anyone would have to be faithful to one certain blog when I respect everyone’s opinions on a subject. Like I said all of you (well most of you here and on MS) are very nice people and everyone just wants the truth about that one and all of us do not want him as our ruler, which he seems to already think he is.

The nitpicking from both these sites towards each other is IMO just not necessary and accusations defending Korir is riduculus, because if you can’t see he’s full of hot air by now then you never will.

  29. ddlew Says:

I think we might just be surprised on Monday. And hey,,,if they reject Leo, we still have several others in the pipe!

    Good work either way LEO!

  30. Ksinde. Says:

Dixie, I have to agree with you in regards to the nitpicking on BOTH sides. I know I for one am guilty of some nasty behavior myself towards MS and gang. But the fact is, this blog is special to myself and the rest of the regulars here, like extended family. So if someone pounces on your family you pounce back as best as you know how.

You have always been respectful and have brought some great conversation here filled with some great info! I enjoy your posts.

99% (maybe even 100%) of us here like you think that Korir is a flipping fraud who preyed on us. We don’t defend him by any means. We have moved past that and i for one don’t even go over to API and the chat. Waste of my time!!!

I don’t want to speak for Pep but i don’t believe she was defending him.

It is likely that the SCOTUS is fairly pragmatic and looks at its cases from many angles, not just the legal ones. In light of today’s release of the O.J. Simpson verdict (which was heavy in racial overtones as was the previous O.J. verdict) pervading the MSM news today, it is possible that the SCOTUS decided to defer releasing any information about Donofrio v. Wells (also heavy in racial overtones by virtue of a semi-black candidate) until next week at which point the O.J. story will be old news to the short-attention spanned consumers of MSM news.

That amke sense except for the fact that there were multiple cases for review today and only two of them were reported as Cert granted. It leaves me to believe that ONLY THOSE ACCEPTED are disclosed that day. The rest are released (with or without comment) the following business day.

Just my thoughts. Although I’m not an attorney, I did stay at a Holiday Inn Express last night. 🙂

  53. Foxtrot Says:

ddlew — Yes, but don’t you think this case would warrant a long explanation, which would take time to write, if they wanted to grant the Writ? The Justices know there is too much at stake. They know that no matter what the decision that someone will be pissed! Also, I think there is some merit to the OJ argument as well.

    _______________________
    From an article on deathfroma1000papercuts.com

An interesting article appeared yesterday at Unqualified Reservations, “Did Barack Obama Go to Columbia?“.

Interesting because it speculates that the reason the Obama campaign has not released his Columbia records is–that Barack Obama didn’t really attend Columbia.

    Far-fetched?

Perhaps, but not as far-fetched as a candidate getting this far in the political process without the press issuing its normal calls to see his records.

My question is: was Barack Obama ever a student at Columbia? Because here’s how one scurrilous compendium of racist smears puts it:
Obama graduated from Columbia College in 1983, and after spending a year in New York, moved to Chicago.

Wayne Allyn Root says, “I don’t know a single person at Columbia that knows him, and they all know me. I don’t have a classmate who ever knew Barack Obama at Columbia. Ever! … Nobody recalls him. I’m not exaggerating, I’m not kidding.

Questioner: Were you the exact same class?

Root: Class of ‘83 political science, pre-law Columbia University. You don’t get more exact than that. Never met him in my life, don’t know anyone who ever met him. At the class reunion, our 20th reunion five years ago, 20th reunion, who was asked to be the speaker of the class? Me. No one ever heard of Barack! Who was he, and five years ago, nobody even knew who he was… the guy who writes the class notes, who’s kind of the, as we say in New York, the macha who knows everybody, has yet to find a person, a human who ever met him. Is that not strange? It’s very strange…

When asked about his undergraduate training at Columbia University, The New Times states that Obama “declined repeated requests to talk about his New York years, release his Columbia transcript or identify even a single fellow student, co-worker, roommate or friend from those years.”

Many of his classmates don’t remember Obama. He’s not in the yearbook. Columbia couldn’t find a picture of him at school.

What can be said with some certainty is that Mr. Obama lived off campus while at Columbia in 1981-83 and made few friends. Fox News contacted some 400 of his classmates and found no one who remembered him.

As the author, Mencius Moldbug, observes: “What is the chance that a budding young politician of undeniable talent and promise spends his junior and senior years at Columbia, and no one remembers him? What is the chance that my right ass cheek, through spontaneous quantum vibration, suddenly transmutes into a hemisphere of polished gold? Don’t you feel these probabilities are at least roughly comparable?”

The normal minions of the Obama campaign descended upon the blog, filling the comments section with their usual spammery. But, this article highlights one inescapable fact.

If Obama released his Columbia records, such speculation–well-reasoned as it is–simply would not be written. Moldbug could be writing about Obama’s re-distributionist policies.

Moldbug asks a few questions that would have been answered already–if Barack Obama had released his Columbia records.

Barack or Barry – note that he is still Barry while at Occidental; at the next place we know he existed, Harvard Law, he has become Barack – spends two years at Columbia. He presumably receives two years worth of college credits. By taking two years worth of college courses.

Furthermore, in every other period of his life, he is known as the gregarious and charismatic young man he obviously was. Nor can his looks be described as ordinary. Nor is even his name ordinary. This man is a future president. And no one remembers him? No one?

There’s much more in this article, with plenty of linked sources. There’s also a followup post:
Another interpretation of Obama at Columbia.

The Columbia records are part of a pattern:

    no medical records released to the press;
    no Occidental records released to the press;
    no Harvard University records released to the press;
    no Columbia records released to the press;
    the fight to gain access to the Chicago Annenberg Challenge records;
no original birth certificate released to the press.

There’s also another pattern: the press is perfectly satisfied to be kept in the dark. In 2004, CBS News had such a burning desire to see George Bush’s service records, they foisted forged documents onto their viewers.

Perhaps that explains why CBS News has exhibited no curiosity to see the unreleased Obama records?

    Did Obama really attend Columbia?

We don’t know. We have to take Obama’s word for it.

    ——————————————————————————–
Very strange when You add the fact that he was in Pakistan in 1981.
    Name Change. Two missing Years?
    Wow!

  74. thinkingmom11 Says:

Ok – no one is sure where he was born, some people aren’t sure who his father was, we don’t know if he actually attended the college he claims to have attended, he won’t release medical records, etc….

Are we SURE Obama isn’t just a figment of our collective nightmare???!

Obama too Important to Respond to US Supreme Court PDF Print E-mail

    Sher Zieve
President-elect Barack Obama’s refusal to produce an original and viable birth certificate indicating that he truly Sher Zieveand indisputably is a natural born US citizen—as is required by the US Constitution—is continuing to take unusual tacks and turns. In fact, as it is appearing more and more that Barack Obama is not qualified for the US presidency, his and his minions’ machinations may just take the country off course entirely. Now, not only is Mr. Obama refusing to provide proof that he is even eligible to be the President of the United States but, he has decided to thumb his nose at members of our highest court in the land.
With regards to Donofrio v Wells—one of a growing number of lawsuits filed nationwide that question the eligibility of Barack Obama to be POTUS—the full US Supreme Court has agreed to conference on the suit 5 December 2008. Obama and the DNC (also named in the suit) were advised by the high court to respond to Donofrio v Wells by 1 December. To date, neither Mr. Obama nor the DNC have responded. With this lack of response, the president-elect has now flatly stated that he is above—if not beyond and outside of—the law and reports and is responsible only to himself. This is what—not who—was elected to the presidency of the United States.

    _____________
Seven Reasons Why Barack Obama Should make the Birth Certificate Controversy go Away
    by Rev. Michael Bresciani
    December 05, 2008
The question of whether Barack Obama was actually born in Kenya thus disqualifying him to run as a presidential candidate will not go away. It is like the little mushrooms that appear every morning under the tree, they keep coming back. What should the President Elect do?

It is not fair to label those who want answers as racists, disillusioned right wingers, conspiracy nuts or any other convenient appellation thereby asking them to simply shut up. Lawsuits filed to require that an official vault document be produced have come from African Americans, democrats and a host of constitutionally concerned citizens.

In fact one You Tube offering about the matter garnered 750,000 views alone and the total viewing of videos and articles on the subject is somewhere near three million to date.

The problems with the birth certificate offered on the extreme left website the Daily Kos and a few other internet sites are too many to ignore. The short list is first that the document is not signed. Secondly it has no seal. Third is that the security border doesn´t match similar documents from the same time period. Other objections are that the race of Obama´s father is listed as African. In the early sixties the State of Hawaii listed African Americans as Negroes.

What is missing from the document is the doctor´s signature and physical characteristics at birth that every original birth certificate reveals.

Some interested party´s have submitted the internet document to the scrutiny of Adobe and graphic experts who all agree the document is highly questionable or a complete fraud. Is it? Who knows at this point? What is far more intriguing is the resistance being thrown at uncovering the true vault document. This is what is spawning suspicion and doubt.

Attorney Philip Berg has filed a writ of certiorari that should force the President Elect, the DNC and Co-Defendants to produce the document in accordance with law. Ambassador Alan Keyes has pending suits and a total of seventeen others are submitting their quests to various levels of state courts.

Here are the important reasons President Elect Obama should cooperate and put the whole matter to bed as quickly as possible.

    1. Because he can. With a simple request to the Hawaii Bureau of Vital Statistics he can quash all doubt and get on with his administration.

    2. He will remove the suspicions of millions of Americans, republicans, democrats and independents alike.

    3. If ignored it could cause a constitutional crises unlike anything ever seen in this country. It would make questions of chads and incomplete voting cards look like a kindergarten problem by contrast.

    4. It will indicate that Obama means business when he takes the oath of office and declares that he will uphold and defend the Constitution of the United States.

    5. It will give confidence to many of his opponents who may not agree with all his policies, but want to know that he is a completely honest man with the country´s best interest in mind.

    6. It would put to rest the assertion that he is an elitist. All Americans must submit proper documentation of birth to get Social Security cards, driver´s license, security clearance and passports. He should be willing to carry out the first and the least of all his campaign promises contained in the slogan ´Yes, we can.´ In America we can and according to law ´we must.´

    7. We will all sleep better at night!

It is a surprisingly simple matter to make it all go away but it is presently entrenched in court battles and suspicion. In a full page ad in The Washington Times Nov. 17, 2008 three questions are asked. Was Barack Obama born in Kenya? Is he really a citizen of Indonesia? Does the constitution still matter?

    Good questions, we´re listening.

As a footnote even Jesus Christ was questioned about who he was and where he came from. “We know that God spake unto Moses: as for this fellow, we know not from whence he is.” (Jn 9:29) His own sisters and brothers warned him about doing things openly. “For there is no man that doeth any thing in secret, and he himself seeketh to be known openly. If thou do these things, show thyself to the world. (Jn7:4)

  119. Tenacity Says:

One thing that I have found interesting: Satan has used the argument (distraction) for centuries that changes in culture/society necessarily changes the intent of Scripture. Now we see/hear the argument that the Constitution is a living document and its interpretation is subject to change with changes in society/culture. These are the relativistic arguments of elitists, humanist & naturalists. Truth is unchanging, as is God. The framers intent is even more valid and true today than it was when written.

But we do know this: If this scenario plays out then the country will be significantly damaged. This is perhaps the worst possible time to compound the current vacuum of leadership by putting Obama’s status in question. The State of Hawaii has said he was born in that state and they have the documentation to prove it, case closed. One can only conclude that the true objective of these bloggers is to harm the United States by creating an issue where none really exists.

Not that this is anything new to them after supporting torture and other unimaginable Bush Administration policies. It’s simply another example of just how dangerous the Angry Right can be. Don’t get me wrong — the Angry Left can be a problem, too. But in terms of impact on the health of the country there is no comparison. The Angry Right has been destructive. They just don’t care about America — they only want power and the ability to dictate how the rest of us should behave. They don’t even care about the Republican Party — witness its fall primarily due to the schisms caused by the uncompromising extreme right wing.

    Good Morning America:

Dixie: Sorry, I should have left you out of it. But negative comments just didn’t seem to be your style. I was NOT defending Korir. Iwas only citing that the comments were not about us, but were about the people who are posting at API. If you read some of my other posts from yesterday you would see that I was not defending Korir. I don’t play games. What you see from me here is what you will see from me on other posts. I don’t play the “I love Rosettasister’s Gang act” here and go and diss the Gang or Rose at other sites. And, while comments have been made, most often without any vile attitudes toward MS, generally speaking, unless someone (like Jen) comes over here from MS and starts trouble with people here, then you won’t hear anything here negative against others–cept for bots and BO– and in fun and good humor (well, except from Indy) about Al–whom mst of us adoringly tolerate-hmrhhhb :0).

Jen came over and started discord. Rose sent her packing. I had not been to MS site except for weeks ago when the API site went down and all that was with that–just because someone posted her link and invited us over.

When I went over on Wednesday to check it out–after Jen’s comments, I was disappointed to see all of the negative name calling, and the “skits” about all the people who had been at api that were posted on MS.

When I was posting on API, I was there for the people. Korir means nothing to me. And, have only been there once or twice in the past week, to just see who was still there. Korir seems to not allow my posts, and that’s fine with me. My posts were inocuous, just saying hi to folks like yourself when I saw you there, but Korir “moderates” me out.

I’m here because I like the people here. I won’t be at MS because I don’t like all of the negativity in the postng that I found there. What goes around, Dixie, comes around. You will NEVER find me at MS making negative comments about the people on Rose’s site, or about the people on Korir’s site. I don’t play those games. You, cloud, Mom in Texas, ThinkingMom, and others were always enjoyable when I was commenting over at API. Sometimes things were downright hilarious–especially when the “night monitor” took over.

I’ll give anyone the benefit of the doubt. I see no reason to “trash” Korir. People should be well aware what is going on there now. If they aren’t then they soon will be. To me, discussing him just gives him more airtime.

Ksinde: You can speak for me anyday! You all know what my postings are like. I’m always consistent and if you find me posting anywhere else, you will find me consistent there also. I don’t change monikers (except when I first changed at Korir’s because my moniker was too telling of my identity). I don’t change values. I don’t change anything but my hats (well and my undies)! This morning, I’m wearing one (hat that is) more shaped like a crash helmet than a party hat–but it still has shiny dingles all over!
Cheers and good will too all

    ++++++++++++++

Ten, I’m so glad you made that point. I meant to make it yesterday. It seems that Obama thinks that every President (which would mean HIM of course) should change the constitution to fit the whims of the times…or the people.

Seems to go hand in hand with situational ethics– it’s ok to cheat on your spouse given the situation, it’s ok to lie given the situation, it’s ok to steal given the situation, it’s ok to murder given the situation, it’s ok to do whatever you want to do, given the situation. There is no absolute truth, no absolute revelation. Everything is just based on the situation. If this is true, then OJ shouldn’t have gotten any prison time for his crime–given the situation. There will always be a “situation” that will beg to differ with the absolutes. There will always be “situations” that will make the constitution seem to need to be tweaked. The truth is, there are absolutes. For OJ, there was an absolute– regardless of the situation (his “friend” called him, said that these personal stolen properties were at this place, he wanted to retrieve them, didn’t plan on kidnapping anyone (holding someone against their will is kidnapping them–gosh, that must mean my kids kidnapped me a long time ago! Just kidding). The whole “situation” got out of hand–someone brought a gun and then the police showed up. Truth is, OJ was set-up. It was all on tape, from every angle in the room, and bam, OJ’s in jail. The absolute here is that irregardless of whether OJ intended for it to all happen as it did, he put into motion events which led to the very situations that occurred. The truth is there are absolutes which are supposed to be observed in our laws–and as my good friend, Al, pointed out yesterday, “You do the crime, you do the time.” The absolute is that OJ broke the law. He brought a gun into a casino, he held men against their will, and he took property that did not belong to him. Regardless of the situations, the absolute truth is that he broke these laws. These are laws with great consequence and OJ will spend the rest of his life in prison.

Our Constitution is a constitution of absolutes, just as is our Declaration of Independance. It is the foundation upon which this great country rests. It is what causes us to be American, and this to be American soil. If it is “up for tweaking” then the Constitution will be of no more value than the paper it is writtn on. It will become the United States of the Democratic Party, or the US of the Republican party. What ever political party is ruling at the time will be what the Constitution reflects, rather than the governement reflecting the Constitution.

    Our Declaration of Independence states:
“Prudence, indeed, will dictate that Governments long established should not be changed for light and transient causes;”

Yet, Obama believes that our Constitution, that document which outlines these absolutes, the absolutes which causes us to be The United States of America and not something else, should be tweaked and changed to fit the needs of the times–not merely ammended, but changed. But, of course, if you don’t believe in “Truths”, then you certainly aren’t going to believe in and respect a Constitution of Country which was founded on the premise of a document that begins with “These Truths we Hold to be self-evident”.

I wonder, would I have been so brave as to be John Hancock and be the FIRST to sign a document that ended with:

“And for the support of this Declaration, with a firm reliance on the protection of Divine Providence, we mutually pledge to each other our Lives, our Fortunes and our sacred Honor.”

If we have the right to bear arms, then it is a right. A right is an entitlement and cannot be changed just because someone of “the time” thinks it should no longer be a right. With rights come responsibilities. Yet, we do not want to demand and educate the people of this country to perform their responsibilities. Instead, we want to give them carte’ blanche to do whatever evil they choose. Why? Because to do something different means we have to acknowledge that there must be a moral compass, that there must be some laws that are based on TRUTHS. To acknowledge that requires us to acknowledge that there is someone or something that has established those “Truths”. To acknowledge that means we must admit to a Higher Power. We must also admit that just because we want to sympatize with those who rebel against these Truths, rather than to honor the one who established the Truths, doesn’t give us the power to change the Truths.

Incorrect statement. Electors are not replaced and where did you get they are fined? No one knows how they vote to start with, and they can actually vote for the losing VP as the electors on President and Vice President vote on each one and not just the ticket. In other words they could vote for Sarah Palin if they wanted to. Now wouldn’t that be a hoot. Not likely to happen but that is how the electoral college works. Just because they pledge to vote one way they do not have to. 4 times this has happened.

  145. dixieinflorida Says:

    More…………..

Technically, the electors do not have to vote for anyone. The Constitution does not require them to do so. And throughout the history of presidential elections, some have indeed voted for someone else. But tradition holds that the electors vote for the candidate chosen by their state, and so the vast majority of electors do just that.

Each state has a number of electoral votes equal to its number of Senators (two) plus its number of members in the United States House of Representatives.

One additional feature of the process that worries people every time a viable third-party candidate runs for President is that when no candidate wins a majority of electoral votes, the election is decided by the House of Representatives. In such a case, the House delegations from each state would have one vote each. The candidate with the support of the most House delegations would be declared the winner. Thomas Jefferson was elected not by popular vote or by winning a majority of electoral votes–he was selected by the House of Representatives.
    *************************************

Another reason this BC issue needs to get to the eyes and ears of the electoral college. If they have enough doubt they can change their vote.

Very interesting discussion on this and makes one do some research. My bad you are correct.

    **************************

It turns out there is no federal law that requires an elector to vote according to their pledge (to their respective party). And so, more than a few electors have cast their votes without following the popular vote or their party. These electors are called “faithless electors.”

In response to these faithless electors’ actions, several states have created laws to enforce an elector’s pledge to his or her party vote or the popular vote. Some states even go the extra step to assess a misdemeanor charge and a fine to such actions. For example, the state of North Carolina charges a fine of $10,000 to faithless electors.

It’s important to note, that although these states have created these laws, a large number of scholars believe that such state-level laws hold no true bearing and would not survive constitutional challenge.

There is no federal law requiring electors to vote as they have pledged, and over the years a number of electors have voted against the instructions of the voters. 29 states and the District of Columbia have laws binding electors to the popular vote winners, but most constitutional scholars believe that electors remain free agents and that such laws would not survive constitutional challenge. The states with laws seeking to bind electors to the popular vote winners are:

    labama (Code of Ala. §17-19-2)
    Alaska (Alaska Stat. §15.30.090)
    California (Election Code §6906)
    Colorado (CRS §1-4-304)
    Connecticut (Conn. Gen. Stat. §9-176)
    Delaware (15 Del C §4303)
    District of Columbia (§1-1312(g))
    Florida (Fla. Stat. §103.021(1))
    Hawaii (HRS §14-28)
    Maine (21-A MRS §805)
Maryland (Md Ann Code art 33, §8-505)
    Massachusetts (MGL, ch. 53, §8)
    Michigan (MCL §168.47)
    Mississippi (Miss Code Ann §23-15-785)
    Montana (MCA §13-25-104)
    Nebraska (§32-714)
    Nevada (NRS §298.050)
New Mexico (NM Stat Ann §1-15-9)
North Carolina (NC Gen Stat §163-212)
    Ohio (ORC Ann §3505.40)
    Oklahoma (26 Okl St §10-102)
    Oregon (ORS §248.355)
South Carolina (SC Code Ann §7-19-80)
    Tennessee (Tenn Code Ann §2-15-104(c))
    Utah (Utah Code Ann §20A-13-304)
    Vermont (17 VSA §2732)
    Virginia (§24.2-203)
    Washington (RCW §29.71.020)
    Wisconsin (Wis Stat §7.75)
    Wyoming (Wyo Stat §22-19-108)

Most of the state laws referenced above state that an elector shall cast his vote for the candidates who won a majority of the popular vote in the state, or for the candidate of the party that nominated the elector. However, several state laws go further. In New Mexico, it is a 4th degree felony for an elector to vote for a candidate other than the one that received the highest number of votes in the state. If an elector violates his oath to vote for his party’s candidates, it constitutes a misdemeanor and he can be fined up to $1,000. In North Carolina, the fine was $500 until in 2001, when it was increased to $10,000. In Michigan, North Carolina and Utah, failure to vote for the candidates of the party which nominated the elector constitutes resignation from the office of elector, the elector’s vote is not recorded, and the remaining electors must fill the vacancy.

Actually Dixie, in some state the electors are fined and/or replaced if they fail to vote for the popular candidate for their state…Will try to find the link if I still have it…

IMO the college needs to be abolished as it was set up when women were not allowed to vote and they thought men were too stupid to know who would really make the best president. LOL

Seriously that’s kinda how I summerized what I read. Back in the 1800’s there was a lot of rural areas and farmers and the framers of our constitution thought they weren’t paying attention to politics therefore when they voted if they voted they didn’t really know who was the best candidate.

The number of assigned electorates equals the number of congressmen where one vote is given for each House member and two votes for two Senators.

This link seems to have the easiest explanation of the electors

I certainly try to research first before I speak and the above I did not therefore I will apologize when wrong but then I start researching before debating further with sources to back up me up when possible, and you can not just take one source as they are not always correct.

    Dixie,

electorial would be fine if then went county by county in the states….
using Indiana as an example….. the state was completely red except for a few large counties….. but the cities trumped the rest of the state…

Yes I knew that, Women didn’t count because they expected them to just follow their husbands vote

Good Morning Dixie! It’s one reason we have such a great group here. It’s been a great learning experience for me. I had not re-read the Constitution since I went to college–well, I did when I homeschooled my kids. But, because of all the information going around, I felt it necessary to re-read it. Still yet, things get ammended, interpreted.

My point here is, don’t worry about it. If we make a mistake, there’s always someone here to help get it all straight– and so much grace that people don’t get angry… cept Troy if you call BO PE–!

Same in Florida. We are a red state but South Florida voted that one in because it’s full of cubans. We call the Miami area little cuba and on their windows they have “we speak English”. In my county we voted 2-1 against him.

You got that right especially in this election. I know two–only two that voted for him and when I ask them why……..all they can say is…..we don’t need 4 more years of Bush……..and I said well then it doesn’t matter if he won’t produce his BC to see if he’s eligable or it doesn’t matter to you that he’s violating the constitution by putting Hillery as SOS, and it doesn’t matter that he is putting mostly Clinton people in,……….they said what are you talking about and then said he appointed one republican. I said see you haven’t a clue who you voted for and these two women are white. I said name the republican and it took her forever to do that. They just glared at me and since we were in a public place and those two were the only two in there that voted for him we all just shut up rather than get into a major argument.
