High flyin’ bird

‘There’s a high flyin’ bird, flying way up in the sky,

And I wonder if she looks down, as she goes on by?

Well, she’s flying so freely in the sky.

Lord, look at me here, I’m rooted like a tree here,

Got those sit-down, can’t cry Oh Lord, gonna die blues.

Now the sun it comes up and lights up the day,

And when he gets tired, Lord, he goes on down his way,

To the east and to the west, He meets God every day.

Lord, look at me here, I’m rooted like a tree here,

Got those sit-down, can’t cry Oh Lord, gonna die blues.

Now I had a woman Lord, she lived down by the mine,

She ain’t never seen the sun, Oh Lord, never stopped crying.

Then one day my woman up and died, Lord, she up and died now.

Oh Lord, she up and died now.

She wanted to die, And the only way to fly is die, die, die.

There’s a high flyin’ bird, flying way up in the sky,

And I wonder if she looks down as she goes on by?

Well, she’s flying so freely in the sky.

Lord, look at me here, I’m rooted like a tree here,

Got those sit-down, can’t cry, Oh, Lord, gonna die blues.’

Free Press Continues Manufacturing Congressional Support for Net Neutrality

Glenn Beck spoke of this on his TV show yesterday.

And I believe this issue is one which should concern us all.

    Trust deficit?!

    It goes way beyond that.

Obama accuses his opposition of doing exactly what he is guilty of.

He believes his mojo is still working.

  4. rosettasister Says:

Kelly William Cobb, executive director of Americans for Tax Reform’s Digital Liberty Project released the following statement:

“The Commission’s indication that it wants to regulate the Internet under an arcane law designed for 1930s telephone companies, all to enact so-called ‘Net Neutrality’ rules, is a prime example of the tail wagging the dog.

Given that the Internet has flourished as an unregulated entity for over 25 years, this move by the FCC is unwarranted, overreaching, and destined to crush investment and growth throughout the entire Internet ecosphere.”

“Consumers – not government – are the best regulators of businesses, and these consumers have long used market-correcting forces to protect their interests on the Internet.

Instead, the FCC’s decision will open the door to anti-free market policies such as price setting, taxes, and other regulatory impediments to Internet expansion and adoption.

Further, the vague nature of what and how rules will apply creates enormous uncertainty for service providers currently planning to invest in expanding broadband networks.”

“A U.S. Court of Appeals recently told the FCC that their overzealous drive to enact Net Neutrality regulations was an attempt to ‘shatter’ the bounds of their authority.

It’s clear that without the consent of Congress or the Courts, the Commission is continuing its reckless pursuit.”

The Government Is Stifling Free Speech From the Inside Out

And tomorrow here in New York — Free Press, a radical leftist group.

Their goal is not ‘free press’ or faster internet speeds.

Robert McChesney, founder, wants to destroy capitalism:

“Any serious effort to reform the media system would have to necessarily be part of a revolutionary program to overthrow the capitalist political economy.”

Also, “There is no real answer, but to remove, brick by brick, the capitalist system itself, rebuilding the entire society on socialist principles.”

“We need to do whatever we can to limit capitalist propaganda, regulate it, minimize it, and perhaps even elimnate it”

Free Press wants government to take over the media

Said with no hint of irony in front of the ‘Free Press’ banner.

McChesney also called for the government to bail out and take over the media… in an opinion piece that ran in the…Washington Post.

That group just happens to have one of its former players sitting as the assistant to FCC Chairman Julius Genachowski.

Weird, because they are for net neutrality… the courts shot that down.

Now, the FCC says they’ll do it anyway and are marching forward, announcing plans to make Internet companies a public utility. …

Free Press is having a summit on net neutrality.

    Among the speakers:

The executive producer of PBS’s ‘Frontline,’ a ‘journalist’ from the Huffington Post, and James Rucker — the current head of Color for Change (Van Jones group).

Oh gosh are there any unions involved?

They should cover it on GE’s NBC then it would be a complete loop.

This is not about free speech… it’s about stifling it.

    Elections chief: Constitution ‘important’

Ineligible candidate would be ‘biggest scam ever perpetuated on American people’

The chief elections officer in the state of South Dakota says the issue of President Obama’s eligibility to the office is a huge concern among the voters in that state, and he thinks the constitutional qualifications for the office are supremely important to the nation.

“I would hope that all Americans would find constitutional qualifications to be an important issue,” Chris Nelson told WND today. “I would hope there would not be any questions about the issue.”

The comments came after Nelson was quoted in a Rapid City newspaper article that poked fun at the issue.

    Nelson told the newspaper,

“Yes, meeting the constitutional qualifications to be president is a very important issue. If President Obama isn’t constitutionally qualified, it would be the biggest scam ever perpetuated on the American people.

MANY people contacted me as Secretary of State prior to and after the election asking how Obama could be on our ballot given this controversy.

Absent a court finding that he isn’t a natural born citizen, we have to take the certification from the National Democratic Convention at face value.”

He told WND that the appropriate venue for questions to be resolved would be the court system, and WND has reported on many cases that have been brought over the last 18 months.

Nelson said “a lot” of people raised the question to his office before and after the 2008 election.

“We evaluated all of the evidence,” he told WND. “There was no reason not to put him on the ballot. Nor was there any reason for the South Dakota electors not to act.”

He said his sole responsibility was to determine whether someone should be on the ballot, and there was nothing in the rules or regulations that prevent Obama’s inclusion.

“We had the appropriate certifications Democratic national conference. That is what we have to do,” he said.

There are at least two reasons Obama allows the birther issue to fester.

There’s something on long-form BC he wants to keep hidden. Not necessarily something that would make him ineligible.

And he likes to use the issue to his advantage.

So the next time he brings it up you should ask yourself, Why?

That is his prime motivator, how can I manipulate this to sway voters?

He’s an expert on “teabagging” and yet he uses the word knowing full well some of us know, too.

It’s almost like he’s saying, I can get away with being the most unpresidential president of all time.

And there’s nothing you can do about it.

Oh gosh, I don’t even know what this guy’s name is.

But they insist on having him on Fox and Friends again and again.

Besides him clearing one’s sinuses, what else does he have to offer?

You know, I don’t expect these three hosts to be proficient in every area.

But this is beyond the pale.

The Pakistanis learned the hard way that you can’t negotiate with the Pakistani Taliban.

They figured it out, that is why they’ve been at war.

Whoever this guy is has to be the least helpful person as far as this crisis is concerned.

What does he want us to do, drop an H-bomb on these untamed territories?!

It is true, we cannot win in Afghanistan without first stifling these attacks on our forces which originate inside of Pakistan.

Why do you think our predator drones are snuffing out our enemies when and where they can?

Our Pakistani allies have been helping us, not because they love us so much.

But because their very existence is at stake.

Strange brew — killin’ what’s inside of you.

She’s some kind of demon messin’ in the flue.
If you don’t watch out it’ll stick to you,
    To you.
What kind of fool are you?
Strange brew — killin’ what’s inside of you.

On a boat in the middle of a raging sea,
