They other day I said that I was waiting for something other than a smartass answer from Leo to an excellent question that I had posed.

I had questioned him about going after Dr. Fukino and her statement / proclamation of Obama being a “natural born citizen” and he kind of blew me off….In lieu of this announcement from him, I guess I was putting him in a difficult spot….I couldn’t quite understand why he was down playing my question and now I know.

Why does President Pantywaist hate America so badly?
    by DefendUSx September 21, 2009 19:27

From the British Media (General Warner):

If al-Qaeda, the Taliban and the rest of the Looney Tunes brigade want to kick America to death, they had better move in quickly and grab a piece of the action before Barack Obama finishes the job himself. Never in the history of the United States has a president worked so actively against the interests of his own people – not even Jimmy Carter.

Obama’s problem is that he does not know who the enemy is. To him, the enemy does not squat in caves in Waziristan, clutching automatic weapons and reciting the more militant verses from the Koran: instead, it sits around at tea parties in Kentucky quoting from the US Constitution. Obama is not at war with terrorists, but with his Republican fellow citizens. He has never abandoned the campaign trail.

That is why he opened Pandora’s Box by publishing the Justice Department’s legal opinions on waterboarding and other hard-line interrogation techniques. He cynically subordinated the national interest to his partisan desire to embarrass the Republicans. Then he had to rush to Langley , Virginia to try to reassure a demoralized CIA that had just discovered the President of the United States was an even more formidable foe than al-Qaeda..
“Don’t be discouraged by what’s happened the last few weeks,” he told intelligence officers. Is he kidding? Thanks to him, al-Qaeda knows the private interrogation techniques available to the US intelligence agencies and can train its operatives to withstand them – or would do so, if they had not already been outlawed.

So, next time a senior al-Qaeda hood is captured, all the CIA can do is ask him nicely if he would care to reveal when a major population centre is due to be hit by a terror spectacular, or which American city is about to be irradiated by a dirty bomb. Your view of this situation will be dictated by one simple criterion: whether or not you watched the people jumping from the twin towers…
President Pantywaist’s recent world tour, cozying up to all the bad guys, excited the ambitions of America’s enemies. Here, they realized, is a sucker they can really take to the cleaners.

His only enemies are fellow Americans.
Which prompts the question: why does President Pantywaist hate America so badly?

Another Obama program caught in undercover sting
‘Milk it, baby – It’s free money’
    By Chelsea Schilling
    © 2009 WorldNetDaily

While President Obama delivers speeches praising the alleged success of Cash for Clunkers, a former rebate processor for the federal program is calling it “complete chaos.”

After the federal “Cash for Clunkers” program ended Aug. 24, the Department of Transportation reported that nearly 700,000 clunkers were taken off the roads and replaced by more fuel-efficient vehicles. Rebate applications worth $2.877 billion were submitted by the 8 p.m. deadline. The Transportation Department hired federal employees and private contract workers to process the rebates vouchers so car dealers would be compensated.

Former White House aide Kathleen Willey was hired as an employee with Vangent Incorporated, a company that provides information technology management and business process outsourcing services to the public and private sectors. Its clients include federal agencies such as the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services, the U.S. Departments of Defense, Education, Health and Human Services, Justice and Labor and the U.S. Office of Personnel Management.

Kathleen Willey helped send President Clinton to the White House in 1992. Little did she imagine how the Clintons would repay her. Get Willey’s explosive hit, “Target: Caught in Crosshairs of Bill & Hillary Clinton,” at WND!

Vangent, based in Arlington, Va., secured a contract from the Department of Transportation in late August and earlier this month to handle 300,000 applications – or nearly half of all Cash for Clunkers vouchers.Vangent Vice President Eileen Rivera told WND the company hired temporary at least 4,000 temporary employees in Chester, Va., Tampa, Fla., and London, Ky.

    No work history needed

Willey processed the Cash for Clunkers vouchers at her position in Chester, Va. She attended a job fair on Aug. 31 and was hired through Astyra Corp., a minority-owned staffing company.

“We were told that we would be working on the Cash for Clunkers programming, examining all of the documents that the government had received from dealers all over the country,” Willey told WND.

She said many of the applicants had never even heard of the Cash for Clunkers program.

“We were not asked for any prior work history,” Willey said. “The job description was listed as data entry and called for the ability to type 30 words per minute. There were no job requirements actually listed on the application.”

The form requested direct deposit information, signature on a confidentiality agreement and background check, tax information and two forms of identification.

Willey said, “Some people did not have two forms, and I heard one recruiter say, ‘We will work with you on that.'”

    Kathleen Willey

She asked a woman who interviewed her what she would need to do before beginning her new position.

“When I asked if I needed to take any kind of test, the answer was, ‘No,'” Willey said. “She told me to report for work the next day at 4:30 p.m. When I asked if I had to pass a background check before I started, she said, ‘No.'”

However, Rivera said, “That’s absolutely not true. Every single temporary employee who was hired went through a background check. If the background check did not clear, then they were released. They were not allowed to work on this program.”

    Barefoot and foul-mouthed employees

Willey said she was the only non-minority applicant in the room. While human resources required a strict dress code for the position, she said she was shocked by the clothing and conduct of other candidates who were interviewed:

I was the only one dressed for a job interview. Everyone else had on jeans and T-shirts. Most women wore flip-flops. One woman was barefoot. Most of the boys and men had on jeans with the crotches hanging around their knees. Some wore baseball hats, turned around backward or sideways – lots of gold jewelry. The women were dressed extremely unprofessionally, in jeans and very revealing tops. A lot of them wore T-shirts that barely covered their stomachs. A lot of them were pregnant. What I noticed most were the foul mouths of everyone around me.
The next day, Willey reported that as many as 300 new employees attended orientation for new positions with Vangent.

“One of the first things we were told was that Cash for Clunkers will help the environment,” she said.

One supervisor told the group, “The president has passed a good bill to do something good for the American people, but this program is a ‘moving target.’ Rules are changed daily.”

A Department of Transportation webinar instructor repeated the statement about the program being a “moving target.”

“He was obviously with the administration because he told us that the Cash for Clunkers program was a huge success for the country as well as the environment,” Willey said. “He told us that we are dealing with ‘three times the business in one-third of the time.’ He also told us repeatedly that we were going to have to ‘get out of our comfort zones’ and be flexible.'”

She said she knew of only two professional trainers who had been brought in by the Department of Trainsportation to train everyone – supervisors, managers and employees. The supervisors and managers frequently contradicted one another and talked to the employees as if they were “in the first grade.” The recruits were told they would soon receive photo identification badges.

A paycheck to do ‘absolutely nothing’

The following day, on Sept. 2, employees waited outside from 4:30 p.m. until 6 p.m. to get into the building.

“Once inside, we waited another 30 minutes to sign in ‘so we would get paid,’ Willey recalled. “I noted that it was written on the piece of paper that our work day started at 4:30. We then waited in line at the ‘badge table’ to get our badges. When I got there, I had no badge. I finally got to my desk at about 6:45 p.m., where I sat with nothing to do until 10 p.m.”

The employees waited for their user IDs and passwords to access the Car Allowance Rebate System, or CARS. Meanwhile, they were being paid $14.71 an hour “to do absolutely nothing,” Willey said.

My understanding is that someone made a formal request as to whether there were any amendments to Obama’s birth records.

She didn’t actually ask for the amendments, but basically asked if Obama requested his file for the purposes of amending it, and if he had paid fees to amend it.

Leo is jumping to a bit of a conclusion, based on the response: the DoH didn’t respond that there were no such records. They responded that the requester couldn’t have those records.

So, the question is: did they confirm the existence of amendments? Leo seems to think so. I’m not so sure.

Also, since Fukino made public statements about the contents of Obama’s files, Hawaii law apparently requires that the information that is the basis for a public statement must be available under a FOIA request.

The DoH denied this request, but neglected to inform the requestor of her right to appeal.

I’m not sure this will go anywhere, but it will keep the pressure on.

    This is what it means:

    1) in Hawaii an AMENDED certificate of Birth has the same legal weight as an original birth certificate generated at the time of a baby’s birth, in a hospital. Hawaiian law is strange yes, but this is true.

    2) This would mean, that though Stanley Ann may have originally produced a Kenyan (or moon for all we know) birth certificate in order to register her son’s birth or for the purposes of her divorce from Obama Sr. his amended certificate essentially gave him a birth certificate with the same LEGAL weight as a baby’s that was born in say Queen Kaiser hospital. With the same LEGAL weight, it could be claimed that Obama was a Natural Born Citizen because they had the same LEGAL weight in HAWAII.

    3) The same Legal Weight in Hawaii does NOT equal Constitutional Natural Born Status. That is the loophole I am betting Obama used to wiggle through. As long as his records are sealed, and no one can prove it, he can skate. If the full records surface, he’s is TOAST. We know they were Amended, and that in no way is good for OholyO and the man is indeed a traitor.

    4) In reality it doesn’t matter where he was Born, His Father is British, and that right there makes him a Dual Citizen CONSTITUTIONALLY and so ineligible for POTUS.

The whole Birth certificate was something of a smokescreen. The meat of the matter is Obama Sr.’s Nationality.

Unless, of course, his Birth certificate was amended to Obama Sr.’s name and Obama really is the son of another man…. That is food for thought… sort of icky really but oh well, it isn’t my skeleton in that closet thank goodness.

Red Pill anyone? How far does this hole go?

Did Obama attemp to change his vital records?

If Obama has attempted to amend his vital records, or even if he has asked for access to amend his vital records, isn’t that a public record? The law says it is. Why would Obama, if he has attempted to change his virtal records, want to keep this information from the public?

On the vaccine front, we have now received a couple threats to stop telling the truth or else. Our response is obvious:

Our counsel to everyone, as we enter this flu season, remains the same:

Dan has worked tirelessly behind the scenes, as the vaccines were being developed and approved.

He is presently scheduled to be one of the first to be inoculated with one of the “novel A/H1N1” vaccines, in October.

He has said, “As soon as publicly available, here’s my arm!”

If he did not believe it to be safe over the population, using his entire lifetime and career of professional experience, he would not take the vaccine, nor would he ever allow Marci to be vaccinated with it.

    She has volunteered, too.

Dan continues to remain concerned about the number of the very young that the H1N1 is affecting, but due to his heart condition, he is unable to continue, at this time, his evaluation past the terms of the contract that Eagles Disobey, Inc. successfully completed.

Almost everyone who has been following the reports here and on the Eagles Disobey website has surmised (with again perennially too much to be coincidence) the importance and probable impact of a few people’s actions on this issue.

The impact by one is really something to be praised whether he likes it or not.

Enough said because ‘it was the right thing to do’ and the only thing the people really need to widespread know is that as safe as possible medical care awaits them.

If this is true then they had better get busy killing us and rest assured that they will.
Unchecked population growth is speeding climate change, damaging life-nurturing ecosystems and dooming many countries to poverty, experts concluded in a conference report released Monday.
Unless birth rates are lowered sharply through voluntary family-planning programmes and easy access to contraceptives, the tally of humans on Earth could swell to an unsustainable 11 billion by 2050, they warned.

The UN currently projects that global population will rise from 6.8 billion today to between 8.0 and 10.5 billion by mid-century.

The researchers said that with one and a half million more humans climbing aboard the planet every week, a recipe is looming for ecological overload, famine and broken states.

“Continued rapid population growth in many of the least developed countries could lead to hunger, a failure of education and conflict,” said Malcolm Potts at the University of California in Berkeley, which hosted the conference in February.

The papers, authored by 42 specialists in environmental science, economics and demography, are published by the Royal Society, Britain’s de-facto academy of sciences.

“There is no doubt that the current rate of human population growth is unsustainable,” summarised Roger Short, a professor at the University of Melbourne in Australia.

“The inexorable increase in human numbers is exhausting conventional energy supplies, accelerating environmental pollution and global warming and providing an increasing number of failed states where civil unrest prevails.”

Ninety-eight percent of the expected population growth will occur in developing countries, especially in Africa, where numbers are set to double to almost two billion by 2050.

“How Niger is going to feed a population growing from 11 million today to 50 million in 2050 in a semi-arid country that may be facing adverse climate (change) is unclear,” said Adair Turner, a member of Britain’s House of Lords.

The population of Uganda was five million in 1950, is 25 million today and could reach 127 million by 2050, Turner said.

Concern about population growth is not new.

It was most famously articulated by a British mathematician, Thomas Malthus, who in 1798 — when Earth was home to about one billion — calculated that exponential growth would inevitably lead to famine.

Malthus’s dire warning was widely taken seriously until the advent of mechanised farming. The surge in food productivity, helped by the Green Revolution of the 1960s, gave the impression that Earth’s bounty was limitless.

But relentlessly rising demand, diminishing farmland, depleted fish stocks, falling water tables and the threat of climate change have in recent years placed the Malthusian dilemma back on the table.

In their overview, the authors say that even though the burden of excess population is clear, controversy and taboo stalk the question of how to tackle it.

Some objections, such as the Roman Catholic Church’s ban on birth control, are religious.

But the question has been ignored or sidelined in the secular arena too, the authors said.

Population control, for example, did not figure among the UN’s eight Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) in 2000, though it was added later “as an afterthought,” said Short.

One reason has been the family planning programmes in China and India that critics say veered into forced sterilisations and coercive abortions, breaching human rights.

The researchers acknowledged these problems but also pointed out that without its “one-child” policy, China would have an extra 300 to 400 million mouths to feed today.

There would be double the number of young people, from 20 to 40 million, who enter the Chinese job market each year.

The researchers agreed with the widely held belief that improving economic conditions generally lead to lower birth rates.

But, they argue, smaller families also lead to greater prosperity, and this can be helped by programmes that are voluntary and inexpensive.

Some 80 million pregnancies — nearly 40 percent of the total each year — are unplanned. More than half of those unwanted pregnancies will result in abortion, with five million women suffering severe complications or death.

“Much more emphasis need to be given to meeting the need for family planning — all women should be protected from unintended childbirth,” they said in a collective editorial.

“We couldn’t give them a Guantanamo shut down, or ending the Patriot Act, so this is the immediate payoff to MoveOn and Free Press and the those guys who worked so hard for us during the campaign,” says a White House source. “Getting ‘net neutrality’ codified and under out control was at the top of their list of things for us to do.”

White House sources say imposing the Internet regulations has been in the works for months, and a coordinated effort with Democrats on Capitol Hill and with the outside groups they have been holding discussions with, such as Free Press, MoveOn, scholars at the Center for American Progress, and corporate friends, such as Google.

“It’s a difficult concept for regular folks to get because it’s a technical issue that sounds harmless,” says a Federal Communications Commissions staffer. “‘Neutrality’ sounds like something harmless, but what people need to understand is that if they are afraid of what would happen to their health care if Obamacare was passed, they should be downright horrified about what would happen to their Internet if Obama’s ‘net neutrality’ were passed.

“”Someone has to be monitoring all those networks, all that activity to make sure the networks remain ‘neutral.’ Who is that going to be? Free Press? George Soros?”

In fact, a representative of the left-wing organization known as Free Press will be present at the Genachowski speech. Free Press, which continues to stand by former White House Obama adviser Van Jones, who served its board, shares its roots with the MoveOn organization, and has received funds from George Soros and funds from senior Google executives, actually wrote large portions of the Markey-Eshoo net neutrality bill, which was introduced in Congress just before the summer recess in August. “Free Press got caught red-handed, when they put the bill up on their website and time stamp on the copy indicated they’d received it long before most people knew the bill was being introduced,” says the House committee source.

    Gov run healthcare
One in six NHS patients ‘misdiagnosed’
As many as one in six patients treated in NHS hospitals and GPs’ surgeries is being misdiagnosed, experts have warned.

By Kate Devlin and Rebecca Smith
    Published: 10:30PM BST 21 Sep 2009

There is a call for better reporting methods to ensure that each misdiagnosis is recorded and monitored properly.

Doctors were making mistakes in up to 15 per cent of cases because they were too quick to judge patients’ symptoms, they said, while others were reluctant to ask more senior colleagues for help.

While in most cases the misdiagnosis did not result in the patient suffering serious harm, a sizeable number of the millions of NHS patients were likely to suffer significant health problems as a result, according to figures. It was said that the number of misdiagnoses was “just the tip of the iceberg”, with many people still reluctant to report mistakes by their doctors.

There was a call for better reporting methods to ensure that each misdiagnosis was recorded and monitored properly.

Prof Graham Neale, of the Imperial Centre for Patient Safety and Service Quality at Imperial College London, who is carrying out research into cases of misdiagnosis in the NHS, said it was a problem that was not being adequately dealt with.

“There is absolutely no doubt that this is being under-reported,” he said. “But more importantly they are not being adequately analysed.

“Trainee doctors are too quick to judgment, that is one of the problems that we face.”

He added, however, that in many cases, the medical errors were rectified within 48 hours.

The experts drew on research published in the American Journal of Medicine that estimated that up to 15 per cent of all medical cases in developed countries were misdiagnosed.

Earlier this year, the Healthcare Commission found that missed or wrong diagnoses were a major cause of complaints to the NHS. Of more than 9,000 complaints analysed, almost one in 10 related to a delay in diagnosis or the wrong diagnosis being made. Separate research also suggested that one in 10 patients in hospital was harmed because of the care they received.

Peter Walsh, the chief executive of Action Against Medical Accidents, a campaign group, said his charity received 4,000 calls a year from people who thought that their condition had been misdiagnosed.

“This is just the tip of the iceberg,” he said. “There is no mandatory reporting of missed diagnoses so the true scale cannot be known.

“There are very few reports to the National Patient Safety Agency (NPSA) and we would like to see it become a legal requirement for all missed diagnoses to be reported.”

Dr Robert Hendry, head of medical services at the Medical Protection Society, said misdiagnosis was a factor in two thirds of complaints against GPs. “It’s a very significant problem for the NHS,” he said.

The NPSA runs a database that records medical errors, patient incidents, mistakes in medical notes and near-misses on a voluntary basis.

Between April 2008 and March 2009 there were 39,500 reports of incidents involving clinical assessment. Those included missed or wrong diagnosis but also related to scans that could have been misinterpreted or where the wrong body part was scanned or tests where patients’ samples could have been mixed up.

Dr Kevin Cleary, the medical director of the NPSA, said there were a number of reasons that a diagnosis could be missed or be inaccurate, including a lack of training, test results that were misinterpreted, poor communication and diseases that had similar symptoms.

“Missed diagnosis is one of the most complex issues in medical reporting,” he said. “There are some illnesses, like flu for example, where the symptoms for a number of conditions are very similar, especially early on, so it is not always possible to make a diagnosis immediately.”

A spokesman for the Department of Health said more than one million “patient safety incidents” were reported every year, the vast majority of which caused patients no harm.

“We are examining a move to obliging the NHS as a whole to report to the National reporting and learning system run by National Patient Safety Agency,” the spokesman said.

“The NHS already collects data on safety incidents including misdiagnoses through the National Patient Safety Agency’s reporting system and uses this data to learn from incidents.”

BOMBSHELL: Bin Laden worked FOR United States UNTIL 9/11
    by DefendUSx September 21, 2009 23:12

Former FBI translator Sibel Edmonds dropped a bombshell on the Mike Malloy radio show, guest-hosted by Brad Friedman (audio, partial transcript).

In the interview, Sibel says that the US maintained ‘intimate relations’ with Bin Laden, and the Taliban, “all the way until that day of September 11.”

These ‘intimate relations’ included using Bin Laden for ‘operations’ in Central Asia, including Xinjiang, China. These ‘operations’ involved using al Qaeda and the Taliban in the same manner “as we did during the Afghan and Soviet conflict,” that is, fighting ‘enemies’ via proxies.

As Sibel has previously described, and as she reiterates in this latest interview, this process involved using Turkey (with assistance from ‘actors from Pakistan, and Afghanistan and Saudi Arabia’) as a proxy, which in turn used Bin Laden and the Taliban and others as a proxy terrorist army.

    Control of Central Asia
The goals of the American ‘statesmen’ directing these activities included control of Central Asia’s vast energy supplies and new markets for military products.

The Americans had a problem, though. They needed to keep their fingerprints off these operations to avoid a) popular revolt in Central Asia ( Uzbekistan, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan and Turkmenistan), and b) serious repercussions from China and Russia. They found an ingenious solution: Use their puppet-state Turkey as a proxy, and appeal to both pan-Turkic and pan-Islam sensibilities.

Turkey, a NATO ally, has a lot more credibility in the region than the US and, with the history of the Ottoman Empire, could appeal to pan-Turkic dreams of a wider sphere of influence. The majority of the Central Asian population shares the same heritage, language and religion as the Turks.

In turn, the Turks used the Taliban and al Qaeda, appealing to their dreams of a pan-Islamic caliphate (Presumably. Or maybe the Turks/US just paid very well.)

    According to Sibel:

This started more than a decade-long illegal, covert operation in Central Asia by a small group in the US intent on furthering the oil industry and the Military Industrial Complex, using Turkish operatives, Saudi partners and Pakistani allies, furthering this objective in the name of Islam.

Sibel was recently asked to write about the recent situation with the Uighurs in Xinjiang, but she declined, apart from saying that “our fingerprint is all over it.”

Of course, Sibel isn’t the first or only person to recognize any of this. Eric Margolis, one of the best reporters in the West on matters of Central Asia, stated that the Uighurs in the training camps in Afghanistan up to 2001:

“were being trained by Bin Laden to go and fight the communist Chinese in Xinjiang, and this was not only with the knowledge, but with the support of the CIA, because they thought they might use them if war ever broke out with China.”

    And also that:

“Afghanistan was not a hotbed of terrorism, these were commando groups, guerrilla groups, being trained for specific purposes in Central Asia.”
In a separate interview, Margolis said:

“That illustrates Henry Kissinger’s bon mot that the only thing more dangerous than being America’s enemy is being an ally, because these people were paid by the CIA, they were armed by the US, these Chinese Muslims from Xinjiang, the most-Western province.

The CIA was going to use them in the event of a war with China, or just to raise hell there, and they were trained and supported out of Afghanistan, some of them with Osama Bin Laden’s collaboration. The Americans were up to their ears with this.”

    Rogues Gallery
Last year, Sibel came up with a brilliant idea to expose some of the criminal activity that she is forbidden to speak about: she published eighteen photos, titled “Sibel Edmonds’ State Secrets Privilege Gallery,” of people involved the operations that she has been trying to expose. One of those people is Anwar Yusuf Turani, the so-called ‘President-in-exile’ of East Turkistan (Xinjiang). This so-called ‘government-in-exile’ was ‘established’ on Capitol Hill in September, 2004, drawing a sharp rebuke from China.

Also featured in Sibel’s Rogues Gallery was ‘former’ spook Graham Fuller, who was instrumental in the establishment of Turani’s ‘government-in-exile’ of East Turkistan. Fuller has written extensively on Xinjiang, and his “Xinjiang Project” for Rand Corp is apparently the blueprint for Turani’s government-in-exile. Sibel has openly stated her contempt for Mr. Fuller.

The Turkish establishment has a long history of mingling matters of state with terrorism, drug trafficking and other criminal activity, best exemplified by the 1996 Susurluk incident which exposed the so-called Deep State.

Sibel states that “a few main Susurluk actors also ended up in Chicago where they centered ‘certain’ aspects of their operations (Especially East Turkistan-Uighurs).”

One of the main Deep State actors, Mehmet Eymur, former Chief of Counter-Terrorism for Turkey’s intelligence agency, the MIT, features in Sibel’s Rogues Gallery. Eymur was given exile in the US. Another member of Sibel’s gallery, Marc Grossman was Ambassador to Turkey at the time that the Susurluk incident exposed the Deep State. He was recalled shortly after, prior to the end of his assignment, as was Grossman’s underling, Major Douglas Dickerson, who later tried to recruit Sibel into the spying ring.

The modus operandi of the Susurluk gang is the same as the activities that Sibel describes as taking place in Central Asia, the only difference is that this activity was exposed in Turkey a decade ago, whereas the organs of the state in the US, including the corporate media, have successfully suppressed this story.

    Chechnya, Albania & Kosovo
Central Asia is not the only place where American foreign policy makers have shared interests with Bin Laden. Consider the war in Chechnya. As I documented here, Richard Perle and Stephen Solarz (both in Sibel’s gallery) joined other leading neocon luminaries such as Elliott Abrams, Kenneth Adelman, Frank Gaffney, Michael Ledeen, James Woolsey, and Morton Abramowitz in a group called the American Committee for Peace in Chechnya (ACPC). For his part, Bin Laden donated $25 million to the cause, as well as numerous fighters, and technical expertise, establishing training camps.

US interests also converged with those of al-Qaeda in Kosovo and Albania.

Of course, it is not uncommon for circumstances to arise where ‘the enemy of my enemy is my friend.’ On the other hand, in a transparent democracy, we expect a full accounting of the circumstances leading up to a tragic event like 9/11. The 9/11 Commission was supposed to provide exactly that.

    State Secrets
Sibel has famously been dubbed the most gagged woman in America, having the State Secrets Privilege imposed on her twice. Her 3.5 hour testimony to the 9/11 Commission has been entirely suppressed, reduced to a single footnote which refers readers to her classified testimony.

In the interview, she says that the information that was classified in her case specifically identifies that the US was using Bin Laden and the Taliban in Central Asia, including Xinjiang. In the interview, Sibel reiterates that when invoking the gag orders, the US government claims that it is protecting ” ‘sensitive diplomatic relations,’ protecting Turkey, protecting Israel, protecting Pakistan, protecting Saudi Arabia…” This is no doubt partially true, but it is also true that they are protecting themselves too, and it is a crime in the US to use classification and secrecy to cover up crimes.

As Sibel says in the interview:

I have information about things that our government has lied to us about… those things can be proven as lies, very easily, based on the information they classified in my case, because we did carry very intimate relationship with these people, and it involves Central Asia, all the way up to September 11.

The bombshell here is obviously that certain people in the US were using Bin Laden up to September 11, 2001.

It is important to understand why: the US outsourced terror operations to al Qaeda and the Taliban for many years, promoting the Islamization of Central Asia in an attempt to personally profit off military sales as well as oil and gas concessions.

The silence by the US government on these matters is deafening. So, too, is the blowback.

The national security adviser during the administration of President Jimmy Carter says the United States should shoot down Israeli jets if that nation chooses to take military action against a nuclear project in Iran.

Zbigniew Brzezinski, in an interview with the Daily Beast website, declared, “We are not exactly impotent little babies.”

Israel long has been thought to be considering a military strike against operations in Iran that could result in a nuclear weapon for the regime of Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad. Israel has stated that it is unwilling to have its future threatened by a leader who believes it should be wiped off the map, as Ahmadinejad has stated, with access to nuclear weapons.

But such an Israeli attack on Iran probably would have to fly over coalition airspace in Iraq.

“Are we just going to sit there and watch?” Brzezinski demanded.

I was told I had the flu, all the while screaming at the friggin’ doctor that I didn’t. I was given a prepacked paper lunch bag with some meds. I went home. Less that 24 hours later I had a fractured skull from falling to the floor due to seizures from a 106 degree temperature from a kidney infection. I was in a coma for 11 days. I was given last rites. I remember nothing after the pain from my head hitting the floor, except for last rites, even though I was in a coma. I was floating up near the ceiling with my legs crossed watching the priest, my parents and my husband. Lots of tears, and then I got really p*ssed that everyone thought I was dying. Came out of the coma a few hours later. Everyone thought I was crazy when I told them about the priest, except they couldn’t explain how I knew the priest had one of those bald spots on the top of his head that looks like a skull cap and could describe his stole with Hawaiian quilting, and that he was a Maj. in the Army. U.S. mortgage delinquencies set record
    by DefendUSx September 22, 2009 01:17

While Obama is getting his Narcissistic supply on Letterman, the country continues to go down the pipes.

    By Nick Zieminski

NEW YORK (Reuters) – High U.S. unemployment keeps pushing up the rate of mortgage delinquencies, which could in turn drive personal bankruptcies and home foreclosures, monthly data from the Equifax Inc (EFX.N) credit bureau showed on Monday.

Among U.S. homeowners with mortgages, a record 7.58 percent were at least 30 days late on payments in August, up from 7.32 percent in July, according to the data obtained exclusively by Reuters.

August marked the fourth consecutive monthly increase in delinquencies, and the report showed an accelerating pace. By comparison, 4.89 percent of mortgages were 30 days past due in August 2008, while in August 2007, the rate was 3.44 percent, Equifax data showed.

The rate of subprime mortgage delinquencies now tops 41 percent, up from about 39 percent in each of the prior five months.

The results, which correlate with consumer bankruptcy filings, suggest U.S. homeowners remain under financial stress despite signs of improving sentiment and fundamentals in the U.S. housing market.

August bankruptcy filings were up 32 percent from a year earlier, compared with a 35 percent year-over-year increase in July.

Still, while more Americans were late with mortgage payments, they are keeping up with other bills. The proportion of credit card accounts at least 60 days past due was down in August for the third straight month, while subprime card delinquencies also fell.

That improvement in delinquency rates partly reflects risk-aversion among issuers, which have cut the number of cards by 82 million, or 19 percent, over the past year, while slashing credit limits by $721 billion, to about $3.6 trillion.

The number of new cards being issued is down even more dramatically. In June, 2.6 million new cards were issued, compared with 4.7 million a year earlier.

Lenders are increasingly targeting consumers with high credit scores, Equifax found. While in 2007, about one in five new cards went to people with a credit score above 760, such consumers account for two in five new cards in 2009. Equifax found similar trends in auto loans.

“The data from August further confirms that we’re witnessing a dramatic change in consumer habits,” said Dann Adams, president of Equifax’s Consumer Information Solutions group.

Total consumer debt is down more than $300 billion, or almost 3 percent, from its peak in September 2008, Adams said, while the savings rate is nearing 5 percent, “a level we haven’t seen in years.”

Pending Litigation: Hawaii Confirms That Obama’s Vital Records Have Been Amended

On July 27, 2009 Hawaii Department of Health Director Fukino issued a press release which stated:

“I, Dr. Chiyome Fukino, Director of the Hawai‛i State Department of Health, have seen the original vital records maintained on file by the Hawai‘i State Department of Health verifying Barack Hussein Obama was born in Hawai‘i and is a natural-born American citizen. I have nothing further to add to this statement or my original statement issued in October 2008 over eight months ago.”

This was an extremely shocking claim, particularly given the FACT that the term “natural born citizen” has never been officially defined.

By way of a brief history, Leo Donofrio and then Donofrio and Cort Wrotnowski filed for emergency stays of the election in November in order to verify the eligibility of both Obama and McCain.

Unlike some others, Donofrio clearly has no partisan interests in this issue.

Soon after the above Fukino Hawaiian press release a reader on Donofrio’s blog named TerriK requested all information “collected and maintained” for the purposes of preparing the public statement made by Director Fukino as such information must be released according to Hawaiian statute.

TerriK was interested in knowing how Director Fukino came to the conclusion that the President was a natural born citizen.

She was familiar with Section 92F-12(15) of UIPA Manual

which demands that all information collected and maintained for the purposes of making such a public statement be made public.

She was denied that information despite the clear wording in the statute.

Furthermore, the case law from Hawaii clearly demands production of the records TerriK requested.

Also, correspondence sent to TerriK by Hawaii officials indicates that President Obama’s vital records have been amended and official records pertaining thereto are maintained by the state of Hawaii.

While correspondence sent to TerriK confirms that President Obama’s vital records have been amended, the Department of Health has refused to make the documents requested available.

Donofrio has announced that he will be providing examples of that correspondence in an upcoming press release and that he will be representing or assisting TerriK in litigation against the State of Hawaii.

One count of the litigation will attempt to have those documents released.

The other counts concern various information denied to her which – according to Hawaii law – she is entitled to.

It would appear that Hawaii has been caught blatantly circumventing their own laws; laws specifically created to foster open government practices.

The source of every statement made by attorney Donofrio is documented and referenced on his blog so the accuracy of these statements is easily verifiable and unquestionable.

See for additional information, details and updates.

They naively believed that Bush would take care of the mad mullahs next and do all he can to help Iranians get rid of their oppressive regime.

This feeling did not last since Bush caved it really deep in his 2nd term to the lunacy of the liberal crowds and his opponents in his administration and abroad, therefore becoming a lame duck President.

Iranians like millions of Americans here in the US became disfranchised, disappointed and

many even started to brew some conspiracy theories that yes in fact the West is always after the tyrants and they will never stand by the brave on the right side.

    Appeasing Iran

“Through their popular uprising, the Iranian people have mounted the most serious challenge to the Islamic Republic in its 30-year history,”writes John Hannah, former national security advisor to Vice President Cheney, in the Weekly Standard.

“The regime is frightened and confused, on the defensive, never closer to unraveling.

The United States should do nothing that needlessly risks relieving that pressure and giving comfort to Iran’s rulers.

At a minimum, speaking up loudly about human rights will increase U.S. leverage in any forthcoming negotiation.

At maximum, it could help sustain a movement whose ultimate success in toppling Iran’s anti-American theocracy holds out the best hope of ending the nuclear crisis short of war.”

The president is making noises about abandoning Afghanistan even as he spends hours trying to resurrect a disastrous health care policy fiasco.

His approval ratings are plummeting to near first-year Clinton levels, and he has so overplayed his media cards that he may be down to the county fair circuit soon.

What the president should be is focused and firm on the four big three issues of his presidency:

Iran, Afghanistan and Iraq abroad, and domestic security at home.

(The outlines of the latest plot that are emerging should refocus not just the president but the country on the fact that the radical jihadists didn’t get their motivation from President Bush.),0,3033565.story

President Obama’s speech to the U.N. offers him a chance to reset his foreign policy to “serious” and to warn the mullahs that he will not cooperate in their attempts to shore up their regime.

If he speaks to the Iranians seeking freedom, he will have earned a great deal of bipartisan respect.

But if he glides over the Iranian regime’s thuggishness and its evil ambitions vis-a-vis Israel and the world, he’ll have branded his foreign policy as appeasement’s second act.

Because I run a small cleaning business since I retired and am gone a few days a week I could not leave her alone, I was forced to put her into assisted living. It broke my heart because I always said I would never place her in one. But I can now honestly say I made the right decision and she is doing so much better. Of course she finally got placed on the right seizure medicine that stopped the passing out. Other than her heart blockages and the fact she is diabetic and has been for over 40 years now, Alzheimers is now a problem. She is 2nd phase with tendencies towards 3rd phase. She is taking Aricept and I can definitely see that it has slowed the progression down quite a bit. Thank the Lord she has not reached the stage where she doesn’t recognize me. I can live with the short term memory loss she has which is much worse than her long term memory loss. Anyway I commend you for taking on such care for your Mom. Innovation and Productivity

The key, then, is to build on America’s existing strong foundation of innovation-driven productivity.

Summer’s NEC makes a variety of recommendation such as increased government investment in education, infrastructure and basic research.

And as long as that spending is limited to the “building blocks” of economic growth as opposed to picking winners, Uncle Sam might actually do some good here.

Unfortunately, the White House has been picking winners in a sort of an ad hoc industrial policy.

Maybe the banks were too big too fail, but GM and Chrysler?

And why should the tax code continue to favor the housing sector?

Is building bigger homes and vacation getaways the best use of American capital?

Yet there is little evidence the White House plans on changing that sector’s privileged position.

And the President continue to favor the idea of high-speed rail, a favorite of unions and green activists, despite numerous studies questioning the economic benefit of such a system in the vast, spread-out United States.

The administration also seems to be making a bet that higher taxes on small businesses, investment and higher incomes will have limited or no negative effect on the nation’s entrepreneurial climate.

Finally, any productivity guru will tell you that perhaps the most important thing a country can do to boost innovation and economic efficiency is keeping markets open.

Obama’s tire tariff doesn’t seem to qualify as a pro-innovation measure by that standard.

So by all means, repair some bridges and spend more bucks at federal labs.

But innovation and productivity involve a whole lot more.

(If Mr. Reich says vote no, I say vote yes.)

    Found here:

Scenario One: If Olympia Snowe votes in favor of Max Baucus’s plan –

which is favored by the medical-industrial complex because it dramatically increases their customer base without a public option that squeezes their profits –

the Baucus plan will be the bill that goes to the Senate floor.

Why? Because her vote will give enough political cover to waivering Dems Ben Nelson, Mary Landrieu, Jim Webb, and Evan Bayh to gain their support for the Baucus plan.

Which means the White House and the Democratic leadership in the Senate will have a good chance to get the 60 votes they need when the bill goes to the Senate floor in a few weeks.

That Senate vote will push Nancy Pelosi and the House Dems toward the right.

That’s because it will embolden conservative and Blue Dog House Dems to threaten to vote against the far stronger bill that’s already emerged from House committees –

which, in contrast to the Senate Finance bill,

includes a public option, an employer mandate, significant expansion of Medicaid, and larger government subsidies to others with lower incomes.

Pelosi knows she can’t get a single Republican vote, so has to count on the support of at least 218 out of 256 Democrats.

That means winning over at least 38 conservatives and Blue Dog Dems– many of whom were elected from swing districts and some of whom face strong Republican challengers in 2010.

With Baucus’s bill gaining momentum, or perhaps already having been passed, the conservatives and Blue Dogs in the House will demand a bill that’s closer to it.

House progressives will put up a fight but there’s little question that the emerging compromise will be to the right of where the House is right now.

The two bills then go to a reconciliation committee where the White House can put some final touches on it before it goes back to the two chambers for a final vote.

The White House likes this scenario because it keeps private insurance companies, Big Pharma, and the AMA from bolting.

It enables the President to call the resulting bill “bipartisan,” and to claim that it marks real reform.

And maintains the possibility of Republican support for financial reform and environmental legislation next year.

(Mr. Reich is hoping this scenario does not happen, but it just may. Will it be Snowe’s trigger or Conrad’s coops? Or will BaucusCare die, too? Not likely, but if it does, then maybe Wyden – Bennett will get some serious consideration.)

Sen. Cornyn Opening Statement At Mark-Up Of Baucus Proposal

Announces New Data Showing Baucus Health Plan Would Cost Texans More Than $20 Billion

WASHINGTON – U.S. Sen. John Cornyn, a member of the Senate Finance Committee, delivered his opening statement at the Finance Committee mark up of Chairman Baucus’ health care reform bill. Among other remarks, Sen. Cornyn announced the findings of a report he requested from the Texas Health and Human Services Commission, which estimates that Chairman Baucus’ health care proposal would have a devastating impact on Texas. It would increase Texas Medicaid costs by $20.4 billion over 10 years. Additionally, 2.5 million more Texans will end up on a government program.

Below are his remarks as prepared for delivery.

    Thank you, Mr. Chairman.

There is bipartisan recognition that our health care system needs reform. Health care costs have more than doubled for American families over the last decade.

Seniors are counting on Medicare – but that program is underfunded by more than three times the national debt. Medicaid imposes huge costs on state taxpayers and delivers poor outcomes to patients.

Our current government health care programs are riddled with nearly $90 billion a year in waste, fraud, and abuse.

Fear of lawsuits encourages defensive medicine – which increases America’s health care bills by up to 9 percent every year.

And millions of Americans lack health insurance.

We agree on the need to fix the system – and so we should focus on common-sense solutions that we can all support:
    • Making private coverage affordable to more people;
    • Realigning incentives for providers to focus on value instead of volume;
    • Creating incentives for patients to live healthier lives;
    • And cutting waste, fraud, and abuse in our current entitlement programs.

These areas of agreement should be the foundation of a bipartisan approach. Instead, a more partisan proposal is before us today. This proposal would make many of our current problems worse.

    Here are my fundamental concerns:

    Continues Washington’s Spending Spree

This proposal would increase government spending by $1.6 trillion over 10 years. The $856 billion price tag is misleading. When you start the clock in 2013 – the first full year of implementation – the spending goes way up. The American people are tired of government spending – and Washington continues to ignore their voices.

Increases the Costs of Private Insurance

Several studies have shown that middle class families will see higher premiums because of the new taxes in this proposal. Premiums in the individual market would go up by 10%, according to one study. Small group insurance premiums would jump by up to 15% in Ohio – and up to 25% in California – according to another study.

    Takes Money Out of Medicare

This proposal takes $409 billion out of the Medicare program – which is underfunded by $38 trillion. Any “savings” found in Medicare should be dedicated to making that program solvent.

This proposal also cuts $125 billion out of Medicare Advantage – which would break President Obama’s promise that Americans can keep the health plans they have.

    Expands Medicaid

Medicaid already imposes huge costs on state taxpayers – and crowds out education, law enforcement, etc.

The Texas Health and Human Service Commission estimates that this proposal would:
    • Increase Texas Medicaid costs by more than $20 billion over 10 years;
    • Expand the number of Texans on Medicaid by 2.5 million people.
Medicaid delivers poorer health outcomes than private insurance – and costs more than $30 billion a year in waste, fraud, and abuse.

New Taxes on Families and Businesses

This proposal includes nearly $350 billion in new taxes – not including the individual and employer mandates. Raising taxes is not the way to create jobs.

    For individuals and families:
    • The proposal imposes a new tax on those who do not abide by the individual mandate. This new tax is as much as $950 per year for an individual – and $3,800 per family.
The White House says this isn’t really a tax – but if it’s not a tax, than why is the IRS empowered to collect it?

    For businesses:
    • The employer “free rider” provision is a huge burden.
    • One grocery chain in Texas estimates that this provision would cost them $10 million in new taxes.

Most economists agree that employer mandates have the effect of reducing wages and crippling job growth. When you put all the taxes and mandates together, the total bill over the next 20 years is more than $2 trillion – according to the Senate Budget Committee.

    Defers the Tough Choices

This proposal only includes a one-year fix for physicians’ payments under the Medicare program. The cost of future fixes is not included. This proposal outsources the future of our seniors health care to an unelected government board. This board could reduce access to medical care with very limited Congressional review.

    Not Serious About Tort Reform

On medical liability reform, this proposal includes only a “Sense of the Senate” resolution. And that resolution is only a suggestion to states that they consider taking action. There is no enforceable language on tort reform in the proposal.

With respect, Mr. Chairman, this proposal has major flaws. I plan to offer several amendments that will address some of those flaws. But I should be honest: this proposal taxes too much and grows government too much – and I am not optimistic that a few amendments will be able to change that.

Sen. Cornyn serves on the Finance, Judiciary, Agriculture and Budget Committees. He serves as the top Republican on the Judiciary Committee’s Immigration, Refugees and Border Security subcommittee. He served previously as Texas Attorney General, Texas Supreme Court Justice, and Bexar County District Judge.

  97. rosettasister Says:

Geez, Baucus needs to layoff CBO Director Elmendorf! How can Elmendorf tell us how much this is going to cost us when so many changes are being made?

Baucus needs to slow down! Snowe asked Elmendorf a very simple question. Will we be able to see your final estimate BEFORE we vote?

Then Baucus went off on a tirade about CBO being “relevant.”

    Just slow down!

  98. rosettasister Says:

Good Luck with All Those Amendments

The Wall Street Journal reports that:

“The Congressional Budget Office said the Baucus bill would cost $774 billion over a decade and reduce the federal budget deficit by $49 billion in that period. The Montana Democrat said in an interview that $28 billion — more than half of the funds now dedicated to deficit reduction — could be diverted to pay for changes that would help shore up support.”

Senator Baucus’s key talking point has been that he was able to convince CBO to score his bill as revenue neutral, and he even had a $49 billion cushion.

Today his committee will start looking at over 500 amendments, many, if not most, of which would increase the package’s cost, and he has already given up more than half his cushion, before even starting the meeting.

I will be very curious to see the CBO score after the committee session is over.

  99. rosettasister Says:

(Will anyone on committee ask about the obvious? “a huge incentive to drop coverage”)

There’s More Than One Tax Hike In the Baucus-Obama Health Plan

Employer Mandate Tax. $400 per employee if health coverage is not offered. Note: this is a huge incentive to drop coverage, as $400 is much less than the average plan cost of $11,000 for families or $5000 for singles (Source: AHIP)

Preliminary Analysis of Specifications for the Chairman’s Mark of the America’s Healthy Future Act

By 2019, CBO and JCT estimate, the number of nonelderly people who are uninsured would be reduced by about 29 million, leaving about 25 million nonelderly residents uninsured (about one-third of whom would be unauthorized immigrants).

Under the proposal, the share of legal nonelderly residents with insurance coverage would rise from about 83 percent currently to about 94 percent.

Roughly 25 million people would purchase coverage through the new insurance exchanges, and there would be roughly 11 million more enrollees in Medicaid than is projected under current law.

The number of people purchasing individual coverage outside the exchanges or

*** obtaining coverage through employers ***

would decline slightly, relative to currently projected levels. (would decline slightly???)

Those estimates are all subject to substantial uncertainty.

(leaving about 25 million nonelderly residents uninsured (about one-third of whom would be unauthorized immigrants) – even excluding the “unauthorized” immigrants, that’s a lot still uninsured. I thought there was an individual mandate in this bill.)

  103. rosettasister Says:

    Baucus needs a chill pill!

  104. rosettasister Says:

Sen. Olympia Snowe (R-Maine), a moderate Republican whose support on the legislation has been actively sought by both the White House and congressional Democrats, suggested that time needed to be taken in order to carry out reform effectively.

“Let us recall, it took a year and a half to pass Medicare to cover 20 million seniors. We simply can not address one-sixth of our economy, and a matter of such personal and financial significance to every American, on a legislative fast track,” said Snowe.

“I believe the American people rightly expect and are entitled to an extensive, meticulous process that places thoughtful deliberation ahead of arbitrary deadlines,” added Snowe. “In that light, the mark before us is a solid starting point – but we are far from the finish line.”

Proofs and evidences Judge Lamberth allowed filed in the Federal Court for the District of Columbia are available for use by any criminal court in the United States.

Judge Lamberth is correct that government prosecutors do enjoy discretion in the prosecution of many criminal cases.

However, the command of a Grand Jury to a prosecutor by way of presentment strips that prosecutor of the authority to refuse to bring the Grand Jury’s decided, formal criminal accusation before the Petite Jury in a criminal court.

China begins mass vaccinations for swine flu

China begins mass vaccinations for swine flu

    By Marianne Barriaux (AFP)

BEIJING — China kicked off mass vaccinations for swine flu Monday in Beijing, making it apparently the first nation in the world to start innoculating its population against the virus.

The Asian giant has been at the forefront of international efforts to produce an A(H1N1) influenza vaccine, with at least five companies receiving government approval for the work. Officials however have warned demand will exceed supply.

The capital’s municipal health bureau announced Monday in a statement on its website that Beijing “took the lead in China in starting A(H1N1) flu vaccinations”.

Authorities kicked off the programme by immunising students due to take part in next week’s National Day celebrations, the statement said. Around 100,000 students are due to attend, according to recent state media reports.

“We believe that China is the first country in the world to start mass vaccinations for A(H1N1) flu,” Vivian Tan, spokeswoman for the World Health Organisation in China, told AFP.

The health ministry has said it plans to vaccinate 65 million people, or five percent of the country’s total population of 1.3 billion, before year’s end.

A total of 500 medical workers in nearly 50 teams have been mobilised to go to schools across Beijing to give the students their shots, which are free and voluntary, the health bureau reported.

Apart from students taking part in festivities marking the 60th anniversary of the founding of communist China on October 1, medical workers, border inspection and transportation workers will also have priority.

The military and police, other kindergarten, elementary and middle school students and teachers, and those with chronic heart and lung diseases will also be given priority, according to the health ministry.

Shipments of vaccines have so far been distributed to eight provinces including Guangdong, Shandong, Sichuan and Hunan, where outbreaks have been the most severe, state media has reported.

Other nations are also preparing to vaccinate their populations against swine flu.

Australia is to start a mass adult immunisation programme on September 30, while the United States has bought 195 million doses of swine flu vaccine and will make shots available next month.

Britain, meanwhile, has received a first batch of 100,000 doses of swine flu vaccine, which could be approved for public distribution by early October.

On Monday, China had recorded 13,262 cases of A(H1N1) flu, according to the latest information released on the health ministry’s website. No deaths have yet been reported.

A top ministry official predicted earlier this month that tens of millions of people could be infected with the virus in China in the coming months, leading to “unavoidable” fatalities.

The virus has now spread to all of China’s 31 provinces and regions and 95 percent of the cases are being transmitted domestically, rather than via travellers from abroad.

By Friday, A(H1N1) flu had killed nearly 3,500 people worldwide, and while the Americas still have the highest death toll from the virus, cases are expected to increase in Asia as the northern hemisphere enters winter.

China — hit hard in the past by bird flu and Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARS) — took immediate measures to prevent the new virus from entering the country when it was first uncovered in the Americas.

It subsequently came in for international criticism over its severe quarantine rules, but authorities defended the moves as necessary to fend off a mass outbreak of A(H1N1).

The truth is, Mr. Gonzales has raised serious doubts about whether, given the choice between the Constitution and the President’s political agenda, he would put our Constitution first. And that is why I simply cannot support his nomination for Attorney General.

Her performance, which was closed to the media, divided opinion.

Some of those who attended praised her forthright views on government social and economic intervention and others walked out early in disgust.

“She was brilliant,” said a European delegate, on condition of anonymity.

Two US delegates left early, with one saying “it was awful, we couldn’t stand it any longer”. He declined to be identified.

Plus, like I posted earlier my best friend has the Swine Flu – She refuses to go to the hospital and literally is having difficulty breathing. I had been around her about the time she was exposed. For the last two days I have been running a low grade fever 100.1 and a little congestion early am. But I continually keep breaking out in a sweat and check my temp and it goes back to normal once I start sweating. I am taking double doses of Vitamin C, D, B complex, echinacea and aspirin and I rub down in vicks vapo rub everynight (old time remedy). I am not having any other symptoms that are indicative of the flu. I am hoping I have nipped it in the bud. Plus I have already taken the regular flu shot 2 weeks ago. I have taken it for many years now and can honestly say I do not get sick, not even a cold.

    Senate Finance Committee debating BaucusCare

Snowe says CBO Director Elmendorf made clear in testimony yesterday that CBO cannot provide a final cost estimate on bill until CBO has the legislative “language.”

Snowe and Repubs don’t want to vote bill out of committee until they have that final cost estimate.

Baucus says then they’ll have to wait an additional two weeks before they even vote the bill out of committee.

Snowe says so what then it’ll take two more weeks. That’s our job to do that.

Dems are trying to fast track this and Repubs say slow down.

  158. rosettasister Says:

Pace Of Budget Office Work On Health Bill Irks Sen. Baucus

The tension over how quickly the CBO can produce cost estimates produced the most pointed exchange of the Finance Committee’s first day of considering the health legislation.

“We are not sitting around obsessing over the fine decimal places, if that’s your concern,” Elmendorf retorted. “We are moving at the maximum safe speed.”

CBO’s pace poses a hurdle to Senate Democrats, who are aiming to push a bill through the Senate by mid-October. Sen. Olympia Snowe, R-Maine, the lone Republican seen as a potential supporter of the bill, has said that full CBO analysis must be available before she can vote for a final bill.

Elmendorf said CBO could provide a revised preliminary estimate, reflecting changes that Baucus announced to his draft Tuesday, within a few days.

Elmendorf said CBO must be careful and deliberate to maintain the quality of its work. He said CBO bases its official estimates on legislative language. However, the Baucus bill is still being put into legislative language, a process that may not be complete until after the Finance Committee has actually approved the bill.

Baucus said the committee historically considers legislation based on summary language, with the actual legislative text supplied later when a bill is considered on the Senate floor.

(Snowe and other Repubs want CBO to score legislative language of BaucusCare BEFORE they vote out of committee. Seems like a no brainer to me. There has to be a reason why Baucus is balking!)

[Ed. It’s a skewed and intellectually dishonest headline. Judge Lamberth didn’t say plaintiffs could prosecute Obama. He said they could file the presentments and pay the filing fee but that the presentments would then be dismissed specifically because they do not have standing to prosecute the laws of the US. His order says basically the opposite of what their headline is. It’s just awful and their cartoon is very bad and evil. It appears to portray a headstone for Obama, perhaps indicating he died in 2009. That’s really really bad. I certainly condemn both the headline of their press release and their cartoon. This is the kind of activity that gives the movement for honesty in Government a very bad name.]

    Lieberman: Get tougher on Iran

The Obama administration needs to get tougher on Iran if it wants to broker peace in the Middle East, Sen. Joseph Lieberman (I-Conn.) said Wednesday.

The Senate Armed Services Committee member also reiterated his support for tough economic sanctions against Tehran, which he argued was the only way to show President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad that the United States was serious about nuclear non-proliferation.

“The original Obama administration position seemed to suggest the biggest obstacle to peace in the Middle East was the Israeli policy of building on territory [believed to be Palestinian],” Lieberman told MSNBC. “The real threat to peace in the Middle East is Iran.”

“If you look at our policy, which is a global policy, to stop the Iranians from building nuclear weapons, everything we have done thus far has failed,” Lieberman added, noting that he was preparing a bill that would levy new economic sanctions on the country. “I think the only way we’re going to stop this development… is for us to make it clear to the Iranians that if they don’t stop, they’ll suffer.”

As Lieberman voiced his concerns about U.S. policy toward the Middle East state, U.N. General Assembly members prepared to host Ahmadinejad, who will deliver a speech to the body on Wednesday afternoon. A number of delegates, including those from Israel, have already signaled they will not attend the speech. While it is unclear whether U.S. leaders will join them, the State Department did announce last week that Obama would not meet with the Iranian president directly.

List Of USA States Which Have Implemented Legal Actions In Response To The H1N1 virus

    by DefendUSx September 23, 2009 12:36

New York : According to the CDC, the following states have implemented legal actions in response to the H1N1 virus:

Florida – the Florida surgeon general suspended distribution permit requirements Florida statutes to allow wholesale distribution of Tamiflu and Relenza. The state has also distributed a series of blank quarantine order forms, including a voluntary home quarantine agreement, a quarantine to residence order, a quarantine to residence order (non-compliance), a quarantine to facility order, quarantine detention order, quarantine of facility order, building quarantine closure order and area quarantine closure order.

Iowa – In addition to the facility quarantine order listed above, Iowa has also made available forms for voluntary home confinement, home quarantine and home isolation.

Massachusetts – Massachusetts lists its own procedures for isolation and quarantine.

North Carolina – The North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services released a draft isolation order that would provide for imprisonment for up to two years and pretrial detention without bail for any citizen who fails to comply with an isolation order.

Washington – Washington grants authority to local health officers to issue emergency detention orders causing citizens to be immediately and involuntarily isolated or quarantined for up to 10 days.

In addition, governors and health commissioners in the following states have declared a state of emergency since April following concerns about the H1N1 virus: California, Florida, Iowa, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Nebraska, New York, Ohio, Texas, Virginia and Wisconsin.
Clearly this has nothing to do with public health and the qualitative ethical practice of medicine. What about all the people who already had swine flu? Those people, who have already built natural immunity, if forced to quarantine in close quarters with a bunch of other people who may have other types of infectious diseases such as seasonal flu, etc., then become exposed to other infectious diseases and are at greater health risk. This seems like a great plan to help SPREAD whatever disease(s) they want to spread!

Maximum Alert: U.S. Troops Now Occupying America
    by DefendUSx September 23, 2009 12:17
    Paul Joseph Watson
    Wednesday, September 23, 2009

Under the pretext of “helping” local communities short of police in difficult economic times, as well as preparations for a potential swine flu pandemic, U.S. troops are now occupying America as the country sinks into a state of de facto martial law.

We have been inundated with reports over the last few weeks of uniformed soldiers and National Guardsmen running internal checkpoints all over the country as a frightening “Red Dawn” scenario unfolds not with a bang but with a whimper.

The military are now being called upon to undertake roles normally designated to police as Americans are incrementally acclimated to accept the presence of troops on the streets as an everyday occurrence.

The latest case occurred in Kingman Arizona, where National Guardsmen were filmed “providing security” and directing traffic.

    Who’s Afraid of Sibel Edmonds?

    Sibel Edmonds and Philip Giraldi
    The American Conservative
    September 23, 2009

Sibel Edmonds has a story to tell. She went to work as a Turkish and Farsi translator for the FBI five days after 9/11. Part of her job was to translate and transcribe recordings of conversations between suspected Turkish intelligence agents and their American contacts. She was fired from the FBI in April 2002 after she raised concerns that one of the translators in her section was a member of a Turkish organization that was under investigation for bribing senior government officials and members of Congress, drug trafficking, illegal weapons sales, money laundering, and nuclear proliferation. She appealed her termination, but was more alarmed that no effort was being made to address the corruption that she had been monitoring.

A Department of Justice inspector general’s report called Edmonds’s allegations “credible,” “serious,” and “warrant[ing] a thorough and careful review by the FBI.” Ranking Senate Judiciary Committee members Pat Leahy (D-Vt.) and Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa) have backed her publicly. “60 Minutes” launched an investigation of her claims and found them believable. No one has ever disproved any of Edmonds’s revelations, which she says can be verified by FBI investigative files.

John Ashcroft’s Justice Department confirmed Edmonds’s veracity in a backhanded way by twice invoking the dubious State Secrets Privilege so she could not tell what she knows. The ACLU has called her “the most gagged person in the history of the United States of America.”

In her first trip to the region, the former Alaska governor addressed an annual conference of investors in Hong Kong in what was billed as a wide- ranging talk about governance, economics and U.S and Asian affairs.

“I’m going to call it like I see it and I will share with you candidly a view right from Main Street, Main Street, U.S.A.,” Palin told a room full of asset managers and other finance professionals, according to a video of part of the speech obtained by The Associated Press. “And how perhaps my view of Main Street — representing perhaps a lot of other people — how that affects you, your business.”

In Hong Kong, Palin touts ‘Main Sreet, U.S.A’

James Pethokoukis: I will also predict that Palin will also come out strong against TARP, which may be a big dividing line among 2012 candidates.

Ten — great to listen to the videos (and to put a face to the posts). 🙂 I’m happy that there are some in this country that have enough character to stand up for her. It just hit me that we have the perfect storm here and they’ve been plotting and planning for this outcome for decades. I keep saying who can stop this runaway train — the Congress (not), the Supreme Court (we already witnessed what they think about the Constitution), the military (I doubt it). I guess its left to “we the people”. Thank you Tennacity.

Radio has always been a limited form of communication. Over half the population are visual in their preference for receiving information. The absence of body language and facial expression can completely distort a persons intent. I’m thankful these videos turned out as well as they did. The last thing I wanted was a canned presentation, so I just prayed and let it happen. It also helps to have an experienced interviewer present and Linda was very easy to work with.

Thank you. I pray that our efforts bear fruit. We’ve got a huge up hill battle ahead of us. I’d like to be on the front lines if it is God’s will.

    Call On Jesus Lyrics

    Verse 1:

I’m so very ordinary, nothing special on my own.
Oh, I have never walked on water,
And I have never calmed a storm.
Sometimes I’m hiding away from the madness around me
Like a child who’s afraid of the dark

But when I call on Jesus,
    All things are possible
I can mount on wings like eagles’ and soar
    When I call on Jesus,
    Mountains are gonna fall
‘Cause He’ll move heaven and earth to come rescue me when I call

La la la la la, la la la la la

    Verse 2:

    Weary brother, broken daughter,
widowed, widowed lover, you’re not alone
If you’re tired and scared of the madness around you
If you can’t find the strength to carry on

    When you call on Jesus,
    All things are possible
You can mount on wings like eagles’ and soar
    When you call on Jesus,
    Mountains are gonna fall
‘Cause He’ll move heaven and earth to come rescue you when you–

Call Him in the mornin’, in the afternoon time
Late in the evenin’ He’ll be there
    When your heart is broken,
    And you feel discouraged,
You can just remember that He said
    He’ll be there

    Chorus (2x):

    When I call on Jesus,
    All things are possible
I can mount on wings like eagles’ and soar
    When I call on Jesus,
    Mountains are gonna fall
‘Cause He’ll move heaven and earth to come rescue me (back to top first time, 2nd time finish with “when I call”)

La la la la la, la la la la la, la la la la la-a-a

I am dealing with EPA folks just this very day over some land next to my Mom’s house where a Sand Mining Business is getting ready to dig and guess what I found out – THEY HAVE NO PERMIT FROM THE EPA. Qualities of Condi Rice: Intelligent, discrete, talented, Bush concubine, globalist, CFR member.

Remember, she served also under Poppy Bush and has been very close to the head of the snake for a long time. She was the perfect SoS for the passionate pseudo-conservative and traitor W, grandson of Prescott, the financier of the Nazis.

As for the significance of the CFR in relation to U.S. foreign policy, consider this list of Secretaries of State who have been CFR members, with the party affiliation of the administration in which they served in parentheses following each:

Edward Stettinius (D), George Marshall (D), Dean Acheson (D), John Foster Dulles (R), Christian Herter (R), Dean Rusk (D), William Rogers (R), Henry Kissinger (R), Cyrus Vance (D), Edmund Muskie (D), Alexander Haig (R), George Shultz (R), James Baker (R), Lawrence Eagelberger (R), Warren Christopher (D), William Richardson (R), Madeleine Albright (D), Colin Powell (R), and Condoleezza Rice (R).

Those unfamiliar with the CFR might be tempted to regard the presence of the organization’s members dominating the Secretary of State post in so many administrations of both parties as coincidental — maybe akin to finding graduates of Ivy League law schools among the members of our nation’s leading law firms. Consider then, the words of one of the most influential CFR members of all times, Professor Carroll Quigley of Georgetown University, who was once Bill Clinton’s mentor.Quigley, In his book, Tragedy and Hope, wrote:

…the two parties should be almost identical, so that the American people can throw the rascals out at any election without leading to any profound or extensive shifts in policy.

    Continuing, Quigley theorized:

…it should be possible to replace it, every four years if necessary, by the other party, which…will still pursue, with new vigor, approximately the same basic policies.

Considering just the area of U.S. foreign policy, if George Bush’s secretary of state, Condoleezza Rice, is a CFR member, and Rice’s predecessor in that post, Collin Powell (who endorsed Obama for the presidency) is a CFR member, and each of the three candidates mentioned above are also CFR members, what is the likelihood for any significant policy change under a President Obama? Will the United States under President Obama cease its internationalism, “nation building,” and subservience to the United Nations and other international bodies? Not likely.

Do your homework on this lady and she will become not only unattractive, but just another attempt at polishing a turd.

THE ELITES ARE AT WAR! America causing Elites problems again!!
    by DefendUSx September 23, 2009 17:21

In a shocking development with major geopolitical implications, former National Security Advisor and current man on point for the Western Imperialists Zbignew Brzezinski has publicly stated that the United States Air Force will confront any Israeli fighter jets flying over Iraq if Israel attempts to attack Iran.

“We are not exactly impotent little babies. They have to fly over our airspace in Iraq. Are we just going to sit there and watch? We have to be serious about denying them that right. That means a denial where you aren’t just saying it. If they fly over, you go up and confront them. They have the choice of turning back or not. No one wishes for this but it could be a ‘Liberty’ in reverse.”

“Liberty in reverse” he said. Wow, that is an incredible thing for Brzezinski to say. Israel in 1967 attacked the USS Liberty and claimed it was an “accident”. Pay close attention to how the Israeli media responds to this particular statement from Brzezinski. They say how all of the “commissions” found it was accidental or mistaken identity.

Brzezinski returned to the Imperialist forefront after the Establishment fully realized that the program of the Neoconservative strategists was so disastrous. This is why the NIE in 2007 reported that Iran did not have a nuclear weapons program, a direct result of Brzezinski’s influence.

Note Medvedev’s recent appearance on CNN where he claims Shimon Peres told him that Israel has no plans to attack Iran. That is psychological warfare being waged against the Neoconservative faction at Brzezinski’s behest. Brzezinski is saying in no uncertain terms “we are in charge and you are doomed without our help if you attack Iran” to the Neocon faction. What has Putin been told or promised, I wonder? What kind of deal was made? Is it true that Netanyahu was physically removed from Putin’s presence during their recent meeting?

Now, the NIE has just recently again issued a report that reaffirms it’s 2007 findings, right? Why is this? This is because the Neoconservative faction is exercising all of it’s might to compel a US-led attack upon Iran as Israel cannot even dream of touching Iran on it’s own. Look closely at what is floating down the Propaganda Sewage Canals lately. Do you see how one the one hand there is an “Iran must be bombed right away” element while on the other hand there is an “Iran does not have a nuclear weapons program” element? Recently the “bomb Iran” propaganda has had a distinct “Israel will have to go it alone if the US doesn’t do something” quality to it. Why is this? This is Neoconservative psychological warfare being waged against the Brzezinski-led Trilateralist faction. But Zbig knows the deal and has gone so far as to say “we would put a stop it” and how about THAT?!!

There is great panic and ever-growing fear among the Elites. They hate and fear us. Note Nancy Pelosi’s recent expressed concern for “potential violence” right? How about the real violence in all of these wars Nancy? Does that bring tears to your eyes? The thought of it?

The sight of The Angry Citizen Pitchforks and Torches Brigade, the Internet Community and the 9/11 Truth Movement is causing mad Elitist panic. Think about Obama now saying that the corporate media needs it’s own “bailout” right? He supports that. Great. Listen to these recent pronouncements within the corporate media, disparaging bloggers and real journalism. Pick up on that.

The current “dupe the public with the Messiah-figure” program is tanking rapidly, also. Obama’s administration and popularity are crashing to the ground as though they were World Trade Center buildings or something; free-fall speed, no resistance and you get the idea. Look at the health-care proposal. The government does hearby order you to surrender a portion of your income to a corporate cartel of insurance companies under a penalty of $3,800 if you refuse. Straight Fascism. Those insurance companies are no different than the Wall St Usurer Community and they are just as bankrupt.

But we have this stunning development now. Israel has been publicly flogged by the US and it is marvelous, right? Ah, but lets not get too excited. Brzezinski’s program is to destroy the Russia-China-Iran-Caspian States alliance personified by the Shanghai Cooperation Organization. Let’s hope Brzezinski understands the very, very weak position of the US here and thinks to himself “maybe we should just start dealing fairly with others and treat them like the human beings that they are”.

Give it some thought Zbig. The pitchforks are out in force.

Troy I am so glad you said that. Because if BO does this we will suffer the consequences more than we want. I don’t know if you have noticed over the last 9 months, but every time BO has said something against Israel, within 2 days we have something happen in the US that is weather related or fires. Been tracking this for sometime after I first heard it mentioned and believe me it is true.

The next door neighbor just sold last week and they have been there for 15 years and their house has been on the market since early last year. From reader Bill

September 23rd, 2009 Today on Glen Beck there is just more mounting evidence of obama abandoning americas loyalty to our staunchest ally Israel…. He is taking an adversarial role in favor of the arab nation…Now the palestenians have a lawyer in their corner, his name obama!!!…..obama cancelled our Eastern European missle defense system to protect our allies Czech, Poland and others and he is not listening to our top military commanders in Afghanistan calling for more troops or action that needs to be taken for the protection of our troops and the quest of winning the war…Although obama is naieve and wet behind the ears when it comes to foreign policy or standing up to our enemies, he is by no stretch of the imagination stupid…There is a designed purpose in all this either action or inaction, but whatever it is, it is not in the best interest of the United States…If anyone here has read the book of Exodus in the bible, you will see that obama favors himself as a pharoah to the world…He is intent on destroying our US sovereignty to pull us under total control of the United Nations…As u all know, obama is now president of the United Nations…Something unconstitutional and un-precedented in modern times….Half of america is awake and the other half of america are slowly waking up to the colossal mistake we have made…God ignored the pleas of the hebrews for freedom from pharoah until they turned their eyes back toward the Almighty, and I can tell u today that God has turned His face away from America because we have come to accept our modern toys and way of life as looking to the government to provide for us that we have forgotten as a nation that God is our Protector and Deliverer and not the government…..The question is, “how long will we suffer as a nation before we turn our faith back to the One, back to the Great IAM “??……bill

Obama has been trained at subversion, I believe by the Soviets and/or CIA. His actions and inactions are not out of naivete, but out of their (his & his puppet masters) willful intent to subvert the sovereignty of our nation, our states and our citizenry.

  243. Tenacity Says:

Their ultimate goal is to have as many as possible turn our backs on God. This is a reflection of who THEY worship. Whether THEY worship self, sensual power or Satan, Lucifer is happy as long as THEY do not worship and/or trust God. If they can get us to take his mark in order to receive what is handed to us, it is game over. It is better to lose your mortality than to lose your soul. As much as I desire to endure to the end, I will gladly take my early reward rather than not be sustained eternally. Ultimately, some of us, if not all, may be left with no other choice. There is no greater end than to receive the name that is written on the white stone…a name unique to who you really are…a name that reflects the potential that only He knows you to be. What an exploration of relationship that will be…the true last frontier…to be in a limitless challenging exploration of knowledge interacting with people you can trust and whose physical being reflects their spirit rather than conceals it. Now that is heaven.
