“While this thought occupied her mind, Melissa, the sage enchantress, suddenly appeared before her. This virtuous and beneficent magician had discovered by her spells that Rogero was passing his time in pleasure and idleness, forgetful of his honor and his sovereign.”

We have to follow the constitutional solution and exhaust the peaceful route. Upon their failure to provide redress, we recall them (fire them). If they don’t leave or try to pull the martial law route, then they will learn why the founders said the well-regulated state Militia was necessary.

  4. Tenacity Says:

They will also learn the hard way that this is NOT a democracy. They have an employment agreement called the constitution. We are not required to depend upon the electoral process to hold them to it.

Yeah, Rappaport news was posted….The NH SOS is a Dem, so he has to investigate himself…pfffttt

I just received this report from one of our WTPC Colorado members:

This article in a UK newspaper (our media no longer represents a free press; they are just a propaganda arm of the liberals) pretty much tells it all. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/worldnews/article-1213056/Up-million-march-US-Capitol-protest-Obamas-spending-tea-party-demonstration.html It was such a privilege to be part of something momentous that is happening in our country at this time. The hippies had Woodstock; the patriots had the DC 9/12 Protest. We even went to Walter Reed Army Hospital and joined hundreds of others who were there supporting our troops and protesting against all that is going on in our nation’s capitol. What camaraderie and oneness we experienced together!

I met people from all over this country; young and old, male and female, all walks of life. I especially clicked with a couple from Tallahassee, FL and will stay in touch with them. Besides protesting at the Capitol, I attended a freerepublic.com convention there in DC and it was a real class act. I am so blessed to be a part of such dedicated Americans fighting for the restoration of our country back to a Constitutional Republic. We have taken on the domestic enemies of our Constitution and our very way of life, and there is no going back. I kept hearing people say how they had never protested anything in their lives, but they are now because it is not just their lives being affected, but those of their children and grandchildren.

It is my prayer that all Americans will see the danger and say, like so many have already, “No more!” and get involved so that we may build critical mass. I hope no one misses it, because you can’t rewind a lost opportunity. We may never have this opportunity to press through again if we lose this battle, so fight for freedom, liberty, our Constitution and our Republic while there is still opportunity for victory. It’s the least we can do for ourselves and the generations coming after us.

God bless America. America bless God!

It’s what i’ve been saying all along .. scheduling an eligibility trial for late January 2010 is rediculous!!!

Obama put the Tarrifs on Chinese Tires etc. to piss them off and vacate the Dollar!!

What will happen?? The excuse will be that the Dollar is worth no more and that we must unite with Mexico and Canada to form a new economy!!

The target for this (as has been planned for years) is January 01, 2010!!!

  21. Jay Says:

    Fernley,

    Maybe.

I’m trying to be civil but it’s difficult after the great weekend I had with about a million of my fellow Patriots to comprehend what Jay posted without being extremely discourteous back to him. The word racism is becoming one of my most disliked terms in the English language to put it mildly. I’m sick of it being applied so fraudulently by people so guilty of it themselves.

  24. Fernley Girl Says:

Oh my Jay, you couldn’t be more wrong. I was there. Racism was as far from people’s agenda as NY is from CA. What a shame you just don’t get it. It’s never been about skin color except with the Obama crowd bringing it up all the time. I feel sorry for you because you have been so misled. Your country needs you and you won’t be there to save it. I hope someday you see the truth instead of the propaganda. Good luck to you. By the way, there’s always places like Cuba, Venezuela, Iran, North Korea etc. where you can play follow the leader without having to think too much for yourself. They love people who don’t understand what real freedom is all about and never question their policies. I’m sure there will be a state run job just for you and the pay is great. Rationed food and healthcare is available to all. Enjoy. Leave America to the patriots who love her.

  25. Jay Says:

    CJ,

I didn’t say everyone there were racists. Did you read some of the signs? And it’s not just at this rally, there have been others with objectionable signs.

The reason I think race plays a big part is because Obama is simply NOT doing all the things he’s being accused of doing. Your taxes haven’t gone up. The US is not turning into Russia. We still have our freedom of speech (the fact that thousands were able to protest is evidence of that). Obama will not gas Americans under the health care bill. There will be no death panels. Obama isn’t trying to indoctrinate your children.

Another reason, the birth certificate issue. ALL media outlets, including Fox, confirm he was born in this country. Two non-partisan websites (Factcheck.org and Politifact.com) confirm it was well.

Another reason. Republican elected officials distributing racist e-mails since his taking office.

Another reason. The disgusting attacks on Michelle and her children. Even on this blog she’s been called ‘trash’. On Freerepublic 9I think it was, not firm on that), she’s been compared to a gorilla.

So, if you don’t think race plays a part, you’re just not being honest.

  26. Jay Says:

excuse me, ‘if you don’t think race plays a big part, you’re just not being honest.’

  27. Fernley Girl Says:

Last post for the night. Name one of us who has made racist statements about Obama.
And, racism works the other way, too. I know. Last fall I was wearing a t-shirt (message on the back) that quoted Obama and asked a question.

“If they bring a knife to the fight, we bring a gun,”
    Barack Obama, June 13, 2008
Should this man be our President?

I was rammed from behind with a shopping cart, by a woman yelling, “Honkie b*tch”. She wasn’t white.

When I was younger and living in Hawaii I had my neck sliced by a Samoan girl who didn’t like me dating her brother.

Are there racists in this world. Yes. And they come in all colors.

But the reason I distrust/dislike Obama has nothing to do with his color and everything to do with his politics. And, remember, Obama is only 6% black, 50% white, and the rest is Arab. It’s the Arab part that makes me nervous.

    ***********

even if some signs are objectionable, objectionable signs do not equal racism, Jay. TTBOMK, they have all been race neutral.

Starting before the general election of ’08 right on until today, I’ve probably spent 500 or more hours researching how our God given rights are being usurped. (shamefully, I was asleep at the wheel until then) A good portion of that time has been spent researching Obama. I was interested because he claimed to be a christian and wanted to know more before I cast my vote.

What I discover is that there’s nothing admirable about the man. His character is that of dishonor and his heart if full of murder, lies and secret wickedness. And he aligns himself w/ persons cut from the same clothe. Those attributes are not the fruits that Christ followers produce.

So as for addressing the school children, I don’t want my grandchildren falling into the cult-like, mindless (but ever so fashionable), blind endearment towards him that I see in so many of the Obama “in crowd” sheeple of today. He’s not the national parent and he doesn’t deserve to have a hand in their upbringing. He doesn’t deserve their admiration nor does he deserve their respect. And that goes for nearly 100% of those squirmy pit vipers in DC too.

So right Fernley. I know too.

Last year my 11 yr old’s school had an general election. They were learning about the process. My 11 year old was told by a schoolmate that if he did not vote for Obama, then he’s a racist. My boy didn’t even know what the term meant!

I gotta wonder where the other child got that idea. Apparently, nothing else mattered to his mentors than Obama’s skin color!

Well, well, well, here we gowith the racism bullshit….No, you’re not excused, not by me and not at all….You seem to be transfixed on race, have race on the brain, race, race, race, race!!!!….It seems to me that that makes one a racist….I can guarantee you that there are some white people (a very tiny minority of citizens) that don’t like Obama because he is partially black….I can also guarantee you that there are some black people that will never like any white president….BIG DEAL!!!!
Race or skin color never even enters into the mind of most NORMAL people, but there are those whose freakin brains seemed too be consumed by it and they look at every aspect of life through black and white glasses….Those are the racist, the ones that go around screaming that shit continuously….Please don’t bring that BS here!

  32. jrinNC Says:

Gee I always sign off when the good stuff starts. WHO IS JAY??????
Say TROLL/OBOT – why would anyone want to be part of a blog where they are not of the same accord as everyone else???????????

I too do not like the word racist/racism and I am from the South where WE LIVED IT. Obama and his wonderful mentor Jeremiah Wright are the ones who have brought this word back to America.

Jay you say Your taxes haven’t gone up. Well what do you call the increase in taxes on tobacco, alcohol, soft drinks, junk food, and I could go on and on. No there has not yet been imposed a huge federal tax – but the key word here is YET. But I have news for you – at the rate this administration is digging us into debt – IT WILL COME. It is being done one step at a time.

You also say – Another reason, the birth certificate issue. ALL media outlets, including Fox, confirm he was born in this country. Two non-partisan websites (Factcheck.org and Politifact.com) confirm it was well. YOU ARE MISSING THE POINT HERE TOO – IT IS NOT ABOUT WHERE HE WAS BORN. It is about the FACT that his father was not a US CITIZEN. If you have been reading this blog for over a year – then you must know that those of us here do not support or acknowledge anything other than that fact.

JAY HERE IS SOME FREE ADVICE TO YOU – Do not start your Obama rhetoric here – I for one DO NOT want to hear it. This blog is not nor will it ever support racism. We are PATRIOTS period. We support and defend the Constitution of the United States and we are sick and tired of the govt trying to take away our freedoms and force this crap down our throats. I DO NOT SUPPORT a NWO. God has sent the delusion over the people much earlier than what I thought and YOU MY DEAR FRIEND have been affected by that delusion.

So with that being said – I will now choose to IGNORE you and your comments.

OMG, not your really living in a dream world….legitimized???….There running the freakin country now!!!….And yes, the left has always praised and cheerlead and encouraged bad behavior….You are viewing things through your own rose colored glasses and most likely will for the rest of your life….Why in the world would an Obama supporter hang around lurking at this blog, anyway?….If you have hung around here for close to a year, as you claim, and you still don’t understand our points of view here, then you never will….I have never in my life lurked around at lefty sites and I never will…It would be absolutely pointless because there is no way in hell that I would ever come to understand their points of view, due to the fact that it comes from warped diseased brains.

I have my TV on the news and an anchor just posed the question, “Are you a racist if you disagree with Obama’s policy on healthcare?”….This is the exact kind of crap that I’ve been talking about….Obama has intentionally set back race relations in this country by decades….The reason for it is to divide the citizenry, because a divide people will never be able to regain power from the corrupted government….Obama is playing an extremely dangerous game with people’s lives and this constant race baiting / “crying wolf” BS is eventually going to get someone seriously hurt or killed…But, then again that is probanly his goal….Obama the Great Divider!!!

  47. CJ Says:

One last thought to Jay: Obama is the epitomy of a made up front man. He is not a true black, African American even if he looks the part on the outside. He also denies his white and arabic ancestry by insisting he is a black man through and through. I have black friends and he is nothing like them in experience, life style, philosophy or heritage. He never lived like a common black American like he pretends to be. He throws the racial card out via his gang of thieves all the time and has done this throughout his campaign. You have as your leader a person who has sold out to some evil handlers to get to this level of power. Or he is a robot like persona created by them from a young age to reach this level for their purposes only. He constantly campaigns and never seems to get down to working and that is a planned occurence by his shadow men. He has sold out the black Americans he tries to say he is one of, because he has and will, use them to gain support to his agenda. I feel so sorry for their blind naivete in following this sham who has no thought of doing anything for them really. They will lose more than most of us. You really need to study the facts of his whole life. By the way, if you can find anything out about his past or his records that show some detail and that are documented, pass it around ok? Good luck with that. Also, he is NOT a natural born citizen of the USA. He is a usurper and it is known by many, many people. Study the facts on that yourself and forget about the msm telling the truth. Do your own DD. You might be surprised by what you find.

These people that rally, with their signs, are scared of only one thing. Barack Obama’s skin color. There is no rational person who believes Obama is going to turn our country into Russia. There is no rational person who believes we’ll have death panels.
    *********************************************************
Really Jay? Do you honestly believe every word Obama says? Have you not been keeping count of all of the broken promises and lies he has told? It matters to me and many others and I don’t like being referred as being irrational. If you believe there will be no death panels then show me where he won’t be rationing health care. If he is not trying to turn us in to Russia them why all of the legislation to shut down or regulate the air waves and internet. The mainstream media are already controlled by his minions. If you believe they are not all about him then why do they not report the Acorn saga or present the opposing side as right wing nuts.

I assure you I am not a racist and resent someone assuming that I am. I lived in another country and was one of the only 4 American people in a city of about 50,000. I have been laughed at, mocked, because I was different. But I did not let this make me bitter or resentful. I came back to my country and worked as an interpretor for a state office and I can assure you I did not mock or laugh at another persons race. I worked with the same race of people that mocked and laughed at me. It would have been really easy to not forgive the treatment that I received but I try to treat each person no matter what race, creed, or color with the same respect.

BTW, you keep throwing up Bush. I did happen to vote for him but I do not by any means put him on some pedestal. He definitely made lots of calls that I did not agree with. But as far as I know, he never bowed down to any Saudi kings, nor did he go overseas and apologize for our actions. He felt that the gitmo detainees were dangerous and needed to be kept locked up because they posed a threat to our country and not release them and sending a message as if to say sorry never mind.

Also, Jay, does it not bother you that our country is more divided now than at anytime in our nations history? Our CIA is in a crisis made by the actions of your President and his gang. Do you feel safe now?

  50. Bones Says:

    Good morning everyone.

For the current readership, here’s an article by a Russian who does see signs that America is headed the way of Russia.

    http://pajamasmedia.com/blog/obama-regresses-to-cold-war-mythology-and-switches-sides/

    It’s a long, six-part article, so take your time…

Now, it is impossible to prove a negative, i.e. one cannot prove a statement like “the U.S. is not turning into Russia.” One can only say what he/she believes based on the evidence. This writer presents a lot of evidence and explains why he believes what he does.

(Nor can we prove a negative statement like “Race has nothing to do with it.” We can make statements for ourselves, like “I don’t like Obama for reasons that have nothing to do with his skin color.” I don’t have to prove that. It’s about me. I do see racism emerge here and there, by the way. And I don’t like it when I see it. But it does not in any way change my views… it does not drive them… it is a sideshow, and it seems to me based on what I see that it is used by supporters of the left as a means of distraction… and I resent its use that way. There is such an abundance of evidence that has nothing to do with race that one can rely on to form one’s opinions. That’s what goes on here, in large part, at Rose’s place. Critical analysis of the facts by those who value their freedom and liberties. That’s why most of us would welcome someone who disagrees with the common intersection of opinions we’ve formed here, to learn from him/her, to see what opinions he/she has formed from the facts. What are the facts that he/she has used to form those opinions, and why?)

    -Update in Rhodes, GA case
    September 13th, 2009

…..we had a hearing on 11th. Defendants were represented by 3 attorneys: US attorney, Pentagon attorney and Fort Benning attorney. they claimed that my client, flight surgeon Cpt Rhodes MD didn’t show up for no reason, she just didn’t feel like coming.

I presented to the judge a notarized statement, showing that Col Jeffrey Johnson, her commander from Fort Riley, KS has forbidden Connie from leaving Fort Riley a day early and she was threatened that if she does, she will be court martialedand can be thrown into military prison. In this fashion the gov. prevented Connie from being at her own hearing and 5 minutes before the hearing they served me with the motion to dismiss.

Judge Land did not appreciate this strong hand tactic of the government and he ordered the government to make sure Connie is able to leave the base to be at her hearing, which was scheduled for Monday at 12 noon. This time it is their responsibility to do whatever is necessary for Connie to be in court.

It is a tough week for me as in 5 days I am making 5 red eye flights and long trips between OC, LA, Atlanta, Columbus and WA DC.

I will post a separate report about DC 9/12

    Good Luck Orly!

Does anyone think the whole Joe Wilson issue was something sent by God? I’m not overly spiritual, but the more I read about him and what he is like the more I thought–wow this must be the Lord sending a direct message. Here’s a guy who by all accounts is reserved, quiet and not liking the spotlight. During a Pres. address to the joint session of Congress(–a very highly publicized, televised, somber, reserved unspoken-rules controlled event–)a fairly unkown and conservative southern gentleman–shouts out at the Pres “You Lie.” How very bizarre and shocking. Or is it? God works his messages through the most unlikely hosts. I do believe that Mr. Wilson would not have been able to stop those words from coming out of his mouth if he tried. The angel of the Lord spoke through this good man to us. Did you see the horror and anger on the faces of the three stooges–Obama, Reid and Pelosi? They knew how very unusual that whole incident was. Send your words of support and encouragement to Joe and also campaign dollars if you can. He deserves it. I think God will reward him for this big time.

  62. Troy Says:

CJ, I believe it is very possibly true….The wheels are coming off of Obama’s evil wagon and I think we are going to continue to see many more Joe Wilson’s in the future…He is a patriot and hero.

  65. Bones Says:

    Troy,

Yes… I have been among groups of people who view race as a means to becoming the indirect victim (something that can not exist, a contradiction in terms!).

My view: The color of one’s skin has nothing to do with being a victim, nonetheless that is the picture that many attempt to paint, time and again. Past history also does not make one a victim. Nor does a current event based on hatred, unless one is a direct victim of that event.

I have Armenian heritage. The Armenians were persecuted quite horrificly. (See here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Armenian_Genocide — If you look at the map under deportation and extermination process, my grandfather was a young boy of eight years with his mother and infant sister following the lower left route to Syria. He lost his mother on that route and had to carry his sister the rest of the way by himself.)

My point is, that was something that happened, a historical fact. There were people involved. There are people with anti-Armenian sentiments in the world today. Does that in itself make me a victim? Nope. So if people hold up anti-Armenian signs at a rally against the views of an Armenian congresswoman, where a lot of people are holding up a lot of different signs about policy, etc., would I be offended by the anti-Armenian signs? Sure. So would you, probably. Would it mean that everyone that was with them at the rally holding up signs stands for what they do? Nope. Would I say “These people that rally, with their signs, are scared of only one thing. The Armenian heritage of the congresswoman.” No, that would be stupid if a lot of people had a lot of signs saying a lot of different things, now, wouldn’t it? Yep.

I am very concerned that Orly’s inability to work as a team is going to really piss Judge Carter off. Wiley Drake was on Let’s Talk Liberty last Thursday night as my guest and gave a pretty thorough report on this. Orly is making a mistake here. It’s not the first mistake she has made (see Leo’s comments) and she is on thin ice. Carter instructed her to play nice and she refuses…not good. She makes her own bad situations sometimes. I appreciate her energy and ability to endure, but she should stop working against herself as it is not in her clients best interests. When a Marine Judge tells you what he expects, it is suicide to keep challenging him.

  77. jrinNC Says:

I will more than likely be put down for this but here goes.

Bones you just now posted that no one wants to hear BS here – yet a few posts up you WELCOME JAY.

I am confused – why would you welcome someone who by their statements seems to be inciting discontent?????

Note: Jay started posting on 25 Aug when asking for a link. The next post was not much only that it was about congressional oversight and yet ignored the Bush admin. The next one said Troy was truly disgusting- Ok couldn’t quite figure out what that was suppose to be. The next post on 29 Aug brought up the racist issue – hate speech on the COC website – wanted to know where it was suppose to be at on this site –
But – here was the post that got me to thinking something was amiss with this poster – “Jay Says:
    September 10, 2009 at 3:57 pm
Obama wasn’t lying. Joe Wilson was. It was absolutely disrespectful what Wilson did. I don’t care if you’re a Democratic, Republican, or Idependent President, it’s inexcusable. No President should be treated like that on the floor of the house, period.” While I agree this was not done at the right time and right place – Wilson did not lie. He was so impassioned that it just came out. This post from Jay was amidst support for Wilson and that support still continues here among posters as just evidenced by Troys post above.

This person claims they have been viewing here since the election. They must realize what this blog is about. Why subject yourself to criticism. Previous thread and this threads post by Jay have only been to BAIT. If he/she has not figured out by now what we are about and hasn’t been convinced of the stand we support – they never will. So with that in mind – I DO NOT Welcome such posters.

Jay is quite capable of defending his/her own statements.

I do stop listening when people insist that anti-Obama sentiment must be racism disguised as something else.

I will say this, those who insist that is true truly believe it.

And that says more about the person saying it than anyone here.

I don’t like what some of you write sometimes, but that isn’t because you’re racists.

  92. Bones Says:

jrinNC, In response to your question:

I am curious about what Jay might have to say, that is all. I had read what he/she wrote but had not interpreted it as inciting at that point. However, others pointed out some of the comments made by him/her about race, which prompted me to continue with the rest of what I wrote. I welcome anyone here who would engage in healthy debate… I don’t welcome BS. If BS applies to Jay, then I don’t welcome Jay. So the sequence of events was:

    I welcome healthy debate.
Welcome Jay (if you are here for healthy debate).

I do value your contributions here Bones – And I think we all do enter healthy debates from time to time and voice different opinions in the process. That is how we learn and garner the truth. And That Is What I am After – The TRUTH.

    Racist?

    An admission.

I am afraid, or at least I was afraid, that Obama would be successful in moving this country too far to the left and fundamentally change who we are as a nation.

    Why was I afraid?

A part of my reasoning feared that white guilt would play a part in persuading constituents to trust that what Obama was attempting to do was in fact the way we should go.

    Government-run health care, for example.

Seniors, especially, suffer from this white-guilt syndrome. I’ve witnessed this with a member of my husband’s family.

Once, a long time ago, she actually said this to me.

“There’s a Black conspiracy to take over the Bronx.”

Guess what, today she’s an avid Obama supporter.

Maybe when they entered that voting booth, it was their last chance to expiate their sins.

So if being afraid of white guilt makes me a racist, then I guess I’m a racist.

Or we need a new word for whatever it is that I feel.

The last two years we had to have full physicals or our ins. would go up $1,000.
Then this year it was mandatory all employees had to show proof they were citizens, that their dependents were citizens.
All had to submit copies of their birth certificates, spouse birth certificates, children’s birth certificates and a copy of Marriage License.
Those that did not submit copies of these required documents by the dead line date (may have been a 30 day grace period) had their depends dropped from their ins.
Last I heard there was 400 + (for all the plants) that got dropped.
I know one employee at my husbands plant didn’t get it didn’t understand and did not submit documents and his dependents got dropped.
In November he and others like him can resubmit documents again when they have their open enrollment again.
Another employee worked up till the dead line date an walked out, he had a wife and a house full of so called dependents….grrr one of the frauds.

I visited with some 9-12 folks yesterday and they were taken back when I referred to Beck as a possible shill. They truly wanted to hear what was behind my statement. I asked them, “If you wanted to start a race riot, what would be the fastest/best way to do that?…….How about attacking ACORN? Remember who Beck works for….Rupert Murdock, Roger Ailes & the Saudis. Even if he is sincere, he could be fed the information they want to stir it up and told areas to stay away from like the NBC issue. Knowing who he works for, you have to ask the question: Why are they letting him go there? Even if everything he is saying is true, and I believe it is, what is the true underlying motives of Beck’s employers and those controlling them?” I had prefaced these comments with the fact that the whole left/right debate being nothing more than a smoke screen.

I also made the point that we must do more than having Tea Parties. We must not make the mistake of assuming that others are going to fight the battle for us. We must not depend on the electoral process. We must truly hold the elected officials accountable to the constitution NOW. When our petitions are ignored as they have been for many years, we must withdraw our support and throw this usurping administration off.

Terry, I haven’t listened to Wiley’s comments on PHN, but it seems to me that if Kreep’s incroachment on Orly’s case is knowingly causing extreme friction and disruption, then he would , for the sake of possible justice being served, bow out and pursue his case on his own accord…It could very well be that, in reality, he is an asset to the case, but if it is causing a disruption then it seems that the honorable thing to do would be to bow out….I don’t know all of the full details, but just that he supposedly forced his way on to pending case with Carter….I think there had already previously been some bad blood between them….Personally, I would like to see Orly welcome, with open arms, all of the additional legal minds that she can drum up….There has to be one chief though and I’m not convinced that she is a chief…I would rank her as more of a scout.

  113. Bones Says:

jrinNC says: And That Is What I am After – The TRUTH.

    Here’s to that, jrinNC!

Rose…. being afraid of the effect of white guilt… I understand what you are saying, and it is a valid fear imo too. One cannot justifiably take on guilt by association of skin color. Yet this, like taking on victimhood by association of skin color, happens all the time. It’s not justified by virtue of a rational argument that goes something like this… :

Once in history, a bunch of purple people persecuted a bunch of green people. Years later, a green person was born and grew up learning about what happened to the other green people at the hands of the purple people. A purple person was born and grew up learning about what happened to the green people at the hands of the other purple people. Then the green person and the purple person met. The green person said, “Hey, you’re one of those purple people who persecuted a bunch of us green people.” The purple person thought, “No I’m not! That was those other purple people! Am I somehow responsible for them?” Right there, at that moment, is where purple guilt could potentially form. And THAT is why the green person is ABLE to continue the conversation as victim.

It does NOT tend to go this way, by virtue of Human Nature:

Then the green person and the purple person met. The purple person said, “Hey, you’re one of those green people we purple people persecuted!” See. Doesn’t go that way. Doesn’t make any sense. That purple person hadn’t done anything. To include himself among the past purple people who persecuted the past green people does not make any sense at all. It wouldn’t occur to him to state it that way. The guilt, the unjustified guilt, arises out of the question, “Am I responsible for what they did by virtue of the color of my skin?” The answer is first, necessarily, a subjective one… but ultimately the answer is not subjective, it is rational and objective. For me, the answer is no, I am not responsible for those actions, past or present, of people who happen to have the same skin color I do. For some, they answer yes. They are not guilty of those deeds. They are guilty of being racist, in a much more insidious way, by taking on guilt that is unjustified. The willingness to take on that guilt perpetuates the cycle, imo. As does taking on victimhood in the first place, by virtue of skin color.

A victim, by definition, is the recipient of an ACTION. Merriam Webster: “victim – one that is acted on and usu. adversely affected by a force or agent.” One cannot be a victim without being “acted on.” One is not “acted on” by the past. One can only be a victim in the present. A present action of another can victimize. If a yellow person, say an employer, discriminates against a blue person because he is blue, that’s an example of a present action that victimizes. It adversely affects the blue person. But only that one person is a victim. It may loom as a threat to other blue people, but they are not yet victims of anything. And that yellow person is a perpetrator, but it does not mean other yellow people are guilty of anything.

A claim toward any individual of racism must start with an ACTION. If holding up a sign at a rally that has racist overtones is the action someone wants to point to, fine. Point to THAT ONE person holding up a sign, or whoever or however many of them there are. To include all other rallyers and sign-holders in the racist accusation is ludicrous, irrational, and typical of an adherent to the false “victimhood” stance, the claim of victimhood where there was no action to cause it. It’s what, in a nutshell, I like to call BS.

    Okay… off my soapbox now.

  114. Troy Says:

We’re stuck in the web they’re spinning!

Hugh Hewitt: While we debate health reform, the Iran crisis deepens

    http://www.washingtonexaminer.com/opinion/columns/While-we-debate-health-reform_-the-Iran-crisis-deepens-8237815-59176122.html

    EXCERPT

The marchers on Washington — like the folks at TeaPartyProtests.org across the country and every participant in August town hall meetings — all know that domestic politics have entered an intense phase triggered by deep policy differences between those who view the massive growth of the federal government with alarm, and those who see it as a party-building exercise.

The political pros on both sides of the aisle are already handicapping the elections of November 2010 and making comparisons with the mood of September 1993.

The difference, of course, was that 1993’s health care debate did not take place in the context of a world rushing toward a very dangerous confrontation with a regime that may well be the globe’s first suicide nation. Or with America’s military engaged on two fronts in an ongoing war with radical Islam.

The president’s seemingly endless series of speeches on his radical plans for a makeover of American medicine are all basically the same speech with revolving backdrops. We all know the talking points by now, and very few minds are left to be persuaded, only counting the votes of the Blue Dog Democrats who are willing to go over the cliff for the president next fall.

Given that so much of the health care argument is now over, perhaps the president could be asked by the press corps what he intends to do when Israel acts to stop Iran.

    ***

(When Israel acts to stop Iran? When or If? I have the deepest admiration for Mr. Hewitt, but my advice on Israel is always the same. Listen to what the Israeli leadership is saying. And look at the polling inside of Israel. I still maintain Israel will not act unless she has a majority of her citizenry whose will it is to do so.)

PM: Time to exacerbate sanctions against Iran

    http://www.ynetnews.com/articles/0,7340,L-3776656,00.html

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said during the Knesset’s Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee’s meeting that he feels France, Germany and England are in favor of exacerbating sanctions against Iran, “In light of its evasiveness on nuclear issues.”

“I believe now is the time to sanction Iran in a serious way. Heavy sanctions can be effective. The international community is strong and the Iranian regime weak. Most Iranians loathe the government and would not rally around it should the sanctions worsen,” the prime minister said.

Funeral services for a Fernley soldier killed in Iraq are set for Tuesday.

Spc. Thomas Lyons, 20, died Sept. 8 in northern Iraq when the truck he was riding in hit an explosively formed projectile. Also killed were Staff Sgt. Shannon M. Smith, 31, of Marion, Ohio; and Pfc. Zachary Myers, 21.

A public viewing for Lyons will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 155 Highway 95 Alternate in Fernley. Services will at noon. Military honors will follow at the Northern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 14 Veterans Way, Fernley, according to Lyons’ mother Jeanna Flint.

Lyons spent his elementary-school years in Carson City, and attended Fernley high school where he was on the football and wrestling teams. He enlisted in the Army in 2007 and was stationed in Fort Richardson, Alaska.

He was married six months ago and his wife gave birth to the couple’s first child in May.

He arrived in Iraq July 12.

Gov. Jim Gibbons is scheduled to attend, his spokesman Daniel Burns said.

Gibbons on Friday ordered that flags at the state Capitol Complex on Tuesday will be flown at half-staff in honor of Lyons.

    THE MAGICIAN’S BIRTHDAY

    In the magic garden
    Some were singing
    Some were dancing
    While the midnight moon
    Shone brightly overhead

    The stars so gaily glistened
And the sphinx in silence listened to
    The magician tell of
    Lives that he had led

Let the bells of freedom ring
Songs of love to Friday’s king

    Let’s all go to
    The magician’s birthday
    It’s in a forest
    But not so far away
    Much to do
    And so much to say
    While we listened to
    The orchid orchestra play

    Happy Birthay to you …
    Happy Birthday to magician
    Happy Birthday to you …

Then at the dead of midnight
As we watched the dancing firelight
    The air grew cold
And seemed to dull the flame
    The fire died
    The music faded
Filled with fear of death we waited
    For now we knew
    Some evil was to blame

    I challenge you
    I challenge you all
    For all you own
    And all you know
And by all the powers of darkness
I will steal what is mine

Surrender now or face my spite
I grant you it may be Friday night
But did you know this day
    Also numbers thirteen

    First I’ll give you fire
I turn your fire into a sleepy stream
Yes, now I give you nightmares
From your horror I’ll create a dream

    You cannot fight me
For I have the sword of hate

But one thing you can’t see
    My answer is simply
    An impenetrable fortress
    Of love … love … love …

The fear went as quickly as it came
    The air was clear
    The fire burned again
    The flames leapt
    The organ played
    The swans sang
    To greet the day
    And then we knew that
Love will find love will find love ..

  174. Tenacity Says:

    Rose,
Star Parker is a class act and speaks the truth. I have found that Black Christians are amongst the staunchest conservatives on the planet. They also tend to segregate as congregations. It is a cultural issue more than any other. In past decades, it was also a communication issue, but I believe that has subsided over these 40 years. In the mid ’90s, when I was a Promise Keeper Ambassador, I attended and spoke at many various churches, some 100% black and some close to 100%. In the early ’90s I studied a book by Raleigh Washington and Glen Kehrein, “Breaking Down Walls” (A Model for Reconciliation in an Age of Racial Strife, 1993). The book and the interaction taught me a lot. Another book that opened my eyes to some issues that I had not considered was the fictional novel “Dominion” by Randy Alcorn. There have been several Black men in small groups that I have facilitated. Those interactions served to reinforce what I had picked up from the books and church experiences. One thing that my parents taught me early on that was never more true is “don’t judge a book by its cover.” Individuals are just that no matter what other circumstances exist. We all have some old wounds that we may have thought healed until bumped. I have one Black friend that grew up in a predominantly white environment and he feels more like a duck out of water in a Black church than I do. I invited him to go with me once and bumped an old wound. I heard some things from him that he had perhaps not ever shared before. That changed my whole perspective, especially of him. We all have our prejudices. The worst mistake we can make is to deny that they exist. It all boils back down to forgiveness. Guilt, whether direct or indirect, to be sustained requires a lack of forgiveness (of one’s self or others) and is a cause of human mental dysfunction. Often, people perceive themselves as forgiving…until someone bumps that old wound. Then it is a little harder to deny.

“We all have our prejudices. The worst mistake we can make is to deny that they exist.”

    Truer words were never spoken.

But perhaps we are more honest with ourselves than our adversaries.

How can we convince them to stop pointing their fingers and to take a look in the mirror?

Chris Matthews is convinced that if we oppose Obama we must be racists.

    What exactly is his story?!

    My interpretation:

Some on the left cannot believe that they were ever wrong about anything.

I think Troy refers to them as sick puppies.

    They truly are.

The vision they have for America and indeed for the entire world may be a noble one. At least in their own mind.

But shine a light on their so-called utopia, and it crumbles and decays.

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again.

Man cannot take away God-given free will.

It never has worked. It never will work.

Unfortunately, we keep having to deal with the next generation of utopians who believe they’ve discovered nirvana.

When all they had to do was look to history and vow not to repeat the same old mistakes over and over again.

  180. Tenacity Says:

    Rose,
When anyone is honest about their own shortcomings, they seldom rush to condemn others. When people are in denial about their own shortcomings, they tend to be quick in accusing others of what they themselves are guilty of. Their lack of forgiveness of themselves brings on their denial…they delude themselves. Then in their lack of forgiveness of others, like Satan, they become the accusers. It is an attempt to elevate their own esteem by belittling others. “I am better than you”, is a defensive posture. I envision this to define the “Elite”. One who truly knows their own worth need not be defensive.

In my men’s group a few years back, we concluded that a person must recognize just how insignificant they are before one can truly understand one’s tremendous worth. God considers every individual to be extremely important, but only after we surrender self…dehumanize. It is that process that converts us from a consumer to a giver…from a pornographer to an artist…from a sinner to a forgiver…from a deceiver to a champion for real truth…from a coward to courageous. For me, this was the greatest witness of the disciples…that they went from denying Him to being martyred for no longer denying Him.

  181. Troy Says:

How can we convince them to stop pointing their fingers and to take a look in the mirror?

Rose, one of my favorite sayings has always been, “When one points their finger at someone there is always three of them pointing right back at them.”….Point your finger at your computer screen and take a good look at your hand. 😉 😀

  182. Troy Says:

Joldy, thanks for that video, but sometimes Orly has a tendency to over react to certain things….When one is constantly putting everything they have into something they have to pump themselves up in order to keep going…It’s perfectly understandable….We will all keep our hopeful eyes on her progress, just like we have been from the start…She is doing a great thing.

White House Slips Up; Admits Government Will Slowly Take Over Health Insurance
    Posted: 14 Sep 2009 09:34 AM PDT
Oops. Yesterday, in it’s continued flogging of Rep. Joe Wilson for telling the truth, MSNBC let this statement from the Obama White House slip through:
“Undocumented immigrants would be able to buy insurance in the non-exchange private market, just as they do today. That market will shrink as the exchange takes hold, but it will still exist and will be subject to reforms such as the bans on pre-existing conditions and caps.”
As the federal “insurance exchange” grows, the private health insurance market will begin a death-spiral. Plans that don’t complying with new, onerous government regulation will begin to disappear. Before long, it won’t make any sense for any private company to offer health insurance. The federal requirements will make the business of doing so far too expensive, resulting in premiums which will be out of reach for most Americans.
What will we be left with? No choice other than the government
“option”, which will make a mockery out of the word “option.” Joe Wilson is still right. Obama, you lie.

    **************************************

That is food for thought Ten.

I’ve not been able to watch Beck much but he stands out as the only one in the media actually peeling back a layer of the onion. He seems sincere in willing to risk his career and personal safety. For that he gets a longer leash, and maybe Murdoch/Ailes gamble on higher ratings? I do find it hard to believe however, that anyone will be allowed to peel it down to the rotten core.

Indeed the electoral process, certainly not ours, is rigged by a self governing, self electing Congress. We have to take our government back and it will not happen through a “normal” election. My biggest fear is Republicans changing colors for the win, and sweeping the same ole sht back into DC.

Driving race, class, and generational wedges into America seems an intentional element of the Statist strategy. It could well be diversionary but I am not convinced that is Beck’s intent.

My 2 cents……. they can keep driving the wedges because it clarifies the issues. That forces clear choices up to the surface: Statism or Liberty. The Tea Party organizing has gotten us out into the streets which is now the only thing left to get the attention of the entrenched, arrogant, corrupt, elitist politicians.

So what tools and solutions are left to a free people whose enemy is its own government?

a – the constitutional refocus/reset of the Continental Congress you are building?
b – a serious vote-the-bums out movement in 2010 followed by an exceptional and fearless President in 2012?
c – stronger and larger crowds literally throwing them out?

I do not think a and b will have a chance unless we keep increasing the momentum toward c. So I wonder who else now can organize that but the Tea Party and Beck?
