I got a line on you, babe

by

StarGazing

Let me take you baby,

down to the river bed
Got to tell you somethin’, go right to your head
Cause I got a line on you, babe
I got a line on you

Gotta put your arms around me
With every bit of your love
If you know what to do, I’ll make love to you
Cause you got the right line to make it through these times
I got a line on you babe
I got a line on you babe
I got a line on you babe

I got a line on you
I got a line on you babe
You know my winter’s almost over
My summer, she’s comin’ on strong

I can love you, love you, love you
Love you all year long
I got a line on you babe
I got a line on you
I got a line on you babe
I got a line on you
I got a line on you babe

I know people here read Lame Cherry’s blog and I found no e-mail to correct her inaccurate statements. So, here it goes. This ‘quote’ is seen as an admission that Obama had a birth ceritificate with no names on it. Well, it’s not a correct quote. Here is Lame Cherry’s blog posting:
    http://lamecherry.blogspot.com/
    “Bearick Obama’s own words:
Quote from Obama on the Obamafile “Years later, when Obama was in high school, he found a family stash of birth certificates and old vaccination forms. Why wasn’t his name there, or his mother’s? He wondered, he later wrote, “whether the omission caused a fight between my parents.”
This is a very strange question. Why would Obama, now in his teens, wonder about a conflict that may have happened when he was a year old? What is he saying in this passage?
Is he saying there was no birth certificate for his mother and he, or is he saying something else?
    end quote.”
She gets this from “Obamafile”. I followed Obamafile and they link it to this article:
“A newspaper story on the day he left, June 22, said Obama planned a several-weeks grand tour of Mainland universities before he arrived at Harvard to study economics on a graduate faculty fellowship. The story did not mention that he had a wife and an infant son.”
Many years later, Barack Jr., then in high school, found a clipping of the article in a family stash of birth certificates and old vaccination forms. Why wasn’t his name there, or his mother’s? He wondered, he later wrote, “whether the omission caused a fight between my parents.”
    http://www.honoluluadvertiser.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20080829/NEWS05/808290416/0/BACKISSUES
Okay, still with me? Good. I’ve read this part of his book. I just started Dreams From My Father. At the end of Chapter One, Obama says he found the article his father published, along with his birth certificate (not certificates, plural). It was a short peice with a photo of him. No mention of him or his mother is in the ARTICLE. He wondered if the omission was intentional because of his Father’s departure or if it was caused by a fight between his parents.
So, it does NOT say or imply that there were no names on the birth certificate, or that there were more then one, or whether having no bc caused a fight between his parents.
There is no conspiracy, Obamafile and Lame Cherry read it wrong. Keep the good work up, though.

Wow. Lame Cherry finds out that Obamafile TOTALLY misconstrues Obama’s words . Does he/she apologize? No. She says this:
    http://lamecherry.blogspot.com/
“In adding this to the above, could it not be that the Obamafile in mixing and matching was really being led to reveal a different view of the mind of Barack Obama? Could not a book which is Obama in therapy, talking through his psyco babble in babble in Bill Ayers Freudian treatment actually been a window of his confessional?
In reality, could not the mentioned long form birth certificate been really the only document uncovered there and the “news story” Obama refers to was really the birth certificate in his mind which was the story in not having his fathers or mothers name on it?”
No, Lame Cherry. No. He was really referring to an old article he found which happened to be with his bc and vaccination forms. And he wonders why he and his Mother weren’t mentioned in the article.
Do you honesly believe the crap you write? Seriously. Do you? I would love to respond to you on your own blog, but it would seem you don’t allow comments.
    Wow.

Anyway, I’m not posting this to sway anyone one way or the other, just to share this info with you.

    ***

just forwarding some info my wife found and we got a little concerned about…..do you know/heard of Harry Schultz and is he credible

    ***

    I asked around.

    This is hype.

Don’t be too concerned about this.

The economy is going to have some growing pains in the next two quarters.

In the fall, you will see a lot of conversations about how disappointing the holiday season will be.

The market may pull back a bit on this news.

Job creations are still nowhere to be found,

and the auto and real estate sectors still have a long way to recovery.

    Stay focused on consumer staples,

HNZ, KFT which has 4% dividends, and products that people will still purchase.

    ED which has 5% dividend.

VLO which has 4% dividend and should bounce back when gas prices rise like they always do.

CVS and UNH are also worth a look, but be careful with the healthcare reform situation.

Investor Tool and Strategy for Coping with the Fed Led Cartels Market Manipulations

    http://www.marketoracle.co.uk/Article12757.html

Recognize that the “Buy and Hold” strategy rarely succeeds anymore.

The Eminence Grise of Newsletter writers, Harry Schultz perhaps put it the best when he stated that “buy and hold no longer works anymore, even with Gold.”

Recent Market Developments should suffice to demonstrate this principle!

    Conclusion:

The Rampant Monetary Inflation reflected in M3 and in the various bailouts and loans is measured in the trillions of Dollars.

And this tremendously increased monetary base is available to temporarily inflate the paper value of the Equities and other Markets, when money managers first think the markets have a chance for a sustained (for a few months only) Rally, and, when The Cartel Interventional Regime “agrees” with them.

Thus, given that the financial system and key heavyweight investors are awash with printed and borrowed money, after a brief correction, certain Key Sectors should again explode upward until the long-term negative Economic and Financial Fundamentals drag them down again.

Of course, this will not happen in one fell swoop, it will happen in Spurts, the forecast timing of which we set forth in our Latest Letter and Alerts available at http://www.deepcaster.com.

But I am inclined to be in favor of coops so long as they are NOT government-run and are consumer-owned.

The big question is how to pay for any reform. Will Obama have to go back on his word and support the McCain plan?)

Opposing view: Public option is no option

Government-run plan threatens to raise spending, add bureaucracy.

    By Mike Enzi

Sen. Mike Enzi, R-Wyo., is the ranking member of the Senate Health, Education, Labor and Pensions Committee and a member of the Senate Finance Committee.

    http://blogs.usatoday.com/oped/2009/08/opposing-view-public-option-is-no-option.html

In the Finance Committee, six of us leading the negotiations are working from the premise that there will not be a government-run plan. One alternative we are considering is a non-profit health insurance cooperative where consumers could band together to seek better rates and coverage from health insurance companies.

I can count votes, and I know that a government-run plan will not pass in the Senate. The co-op approach has potential and should be considered, but it must not get hijacked in the House-Senate conference as a backdoor way to get a government-run program in place. A government-run option is really no option at all.

(I suspect Obama’s approval numbers will improve if he is seen to be compromising on healthcare.

I also suspect it was Obama’s plan all along to drop the public “option” knowing the Repubs would then just say “no” to coops.

Then Obama can point his finger and say, “See, they really don’t want any reform, they’re in favor of the status quo.”

Which really pisses me off because Obama put our country through this government-run versus NO government-run fight for nothing.

But Senator Enzi is right, even if coops pass in the Senate, Repubs will have to be very careful about what comes out of conference.

I was pretty sure 60 Senate votes would have been required for the public “option” – so now the question is would the same hold true for coops?)

    Yes and no, grammy.

We were both novices at piloting such a huge houseboat. And it was just the two us, so it was definitely a working vacation.

It was one of those situations where what doesn’t kill you makes you stronger.

    And it brought us closer.

And it was very secluded where we beached the boat and we did a fair amount of chillin’ and drinkin’ and playing cards.

We let our doggie run around, but then had a close encounter with a baby rattler.

I’m beginning to think these rattlesnakes have something against me!

But I would definitely do it again, but probably not take the dog next time.

Starting this year, Americans will have to get government approval to travel by air. As Privacy Journal revealed last fall, henceforth “Permission Now Needed to Travel Within U.S.” Getting a reservation and checking-in for air travel will soon require Transportation Security Administration authorization. That permission is by no means assured: For example, if your name matches a “no-fly” list, even mistakenly, you can be denied the right to a reserve a seat on a flight. If your name is on a “selectee” list, you and your possessions will be searched more thoroughly before you can board. What is going on here?

What I find really amazing is that the Obama cabal is directing the state run media to counter Leo’s blog posts. (this is not the first time)

Think about it – the propaganda machine going move-for-move with a lil’ ole’ Leo. You’d think with all its money, influence and high powered legal henchmen, the Regime would just ignore the blog.

Sorry, I’m a little punch drunk.

I’m a tightwad with a good memory for prices, so I can comparison shop.
Last week distilled water was 72 cents a gallon. Today, 83 cents for the same brand at the same store. Last winter the case of cat food I bought was $14.88, last week $18.56. Wheat bread up 17 cents in one week, milk up 7 cents. I live in a small town, but right off a major freeway. Is anyone else paying attention to prices? Seems to me inflation is starting to raise its ugly head.

Ok, folks here is some scary stuff right here….Sorry ahead of time for this, but I’m obligated to pass it on.
    **********************************************************
Scary indeed – this is something else. Very long, didn’t think I would ever get thru reading it – the more I read the scarier it got. I too think there is also something very strange about that ship that was missing. I am so afraid this is all going to culminate faster than we think.

Okay so this organization — the Gamaliel Foundation — that is linked to obammys healthcare mission, is sponsoring a civil rights for immigrants campaign. The Gamaliel Foundation has lots of sponsors — like Citibank, Fannie Mae Foundation, Sears, Coca Cola, etc. Does that mean that these sponsors support giving rights to illegals. They even have a link on the page for the HCR bill on this page and talk about building their relationship with Congress (showing a picture — can’t identify any of the people in the picture).

This never ends. and must run very deep It takes an extremely effective, well coordinated, well protected organization to run this. These organizations is operating with government money but completely outside government oversight. The people doing this had to have been in place long before Bo and Mo showed up.

That stuff about Joseph Moshe was scary. This was the second time that I have read stuff about Baxter. There was a thread on Free Republic on it. A woman in Australia was filing suit against Baxter (memory fails me, but definitely Baxter) and warning what was going on with the bioengineered virus and the killer vaccine.

want to share what I have learned in the last 6-8 months. However, I do not want to OVERWHELM them, especially the one who has just buried her father, step-mom and FIL, since November. So, where do I start? Anyone?

  73. sdee Says:

David Horowitz is running a great series of posts on Alinsky. He lays out exactly, the Leftists’ necessary goal to destroy the republic in order to control it, who is behind it, who is executing and why conservatives are so easily tricked into advancing their own destruction.

The link below is to Part 4 because it has links to Parts 1 – 3.

If you do not care to read “Rules for Radicals” you may want to read this – everything we see going on maps exactly to the Alinsky play book.

They cannot take over the system without first destroying it.

    ———————————-

“”So Alinsky begins by telling readers what a radical is. He is not a reformer of the system but its would-be destroyer. This is something that in my experience conservatives have a very hard time understanding. Conservatives are altogether too decent, too civilized to match up adequately, at least in the initital stages of the battle, with their adversaries. They are too prone to give them the benefit of the doubt. They assume that radicals can’t really want to destroy a society that is democratic and liberal and has brought wealth and prosperity to so many. Oh yes they can. That is in fact the essence of what it means to be a radical — to be willing to destroy the values, structures and institutions that sustain the society we live in. ”

This is why ACORN activists, for example, have such contempt for the election process, why they are so willing to commit election fraud. Because just as Lucifer didn’t believe in God’s kingdom, so the radicals who run ACORN don’t believe in the democratic system. To them it is itself a fraud — an instrument of the ruling class, or as Alinsky prefers to call it, of the Haves. If the electoral system doesn’t serve all of us, but is only an instrument of the Haves, then election fraud is justified because it is a means of creating a system that serves the Have-Nots — social justice.

Until conservatives begin to understand exactly what drives radicals and how dishonest they are — dishonest in the their core — it is going to be very hard to defend the system that is under attack. For radicals the noble end — creating a new heaven on earth — justifies any means. And if one actually believed it was possible to create heaven on earth, would he not willingly destroy any system hitherto created by human beings?””

AP source: White House projects lower deficit
By JIM KUHNHENN and PHILIP ELLIOTT Associated Press Writers The Associated Press
    Thursday, August 20, 2009 6:25 AM EDT

WASHINGTON (AP) — The federal budget picture will look slightly better next week. Relatively speaking.

The White House plans to announce the federal deficit will still be a record breaker, at $1.58 trillion, for the current 2009 fiscal year. But the amount is about $262 billion less than officials predicted earlier this year.

That’s mostly because the administration erased a $250 billion contingency fund it had penciled into the budget in case Wall Street needed more government help in getting out of the financial crisis.
    ************************************************************
They need to erase all that pork those voted for also – Gee lets face it 80%+ of that stimulus money is still sitting there.

Someone sent me a .wmv file the other day and I have tried to figure out a way to post it here – was not a youtube, so I can’t find the url link for it.

But it was of a black lady who was laughing her head off over the fact we now had a black president and we would not have to pay our mortgages, bills, etc. She was just raving over this. She was also saying there were going to be JOBs galore. Then she paused – jobs, what jobs – the out of the blue she said “IS IT TOO LATE FOR ME TO VOTE FOR THAT WHITE GUY” – “OH GOD, WHAT HAVE WE DONE.”
I laughed my head off over that.

If anyone has any ideas how I can get it posted let me know. I can always email it to someone and see if you can figure out to post it or help find in on the net. It was so brilliant.

Rose – we’ve had three vacations to Lake Powell, and always go over Labor Day weekend. The weather is glorious, the water is warm, and the crowds disappear on Monday. One trip we spent three days on the houseboat, ‘parked’ on a beachy cove, and didn’t see another soul until we had to go to the marina for ice. There must have been 25 people in the store, and after all that peace and quiet, we felt like we were in Times Square on New Year’s Eve.

It’s a great place to decompress and focus on the important things in life. Some of the best star gazing you’ll ever see is available at night when you’re away from the marinas.

Thanks for sharing your pictures – it brought back some great memories 🙂

  85. Katie Says:

j.b. – I feel your pain – it’s amazing how we have to dance around the reality of our government with life-long friends. I recently got together with a dear friend, and we both are on opposite sides of this election. I was perfectly willing to leave the discussion behind, until she put on a nightshirt that was a brand new ‘change we can believe in’ piece of garbage. It was a blatant challenge to me, so I let it rip. Fortunately, we still are friends first, but it’s a subtle tension that is still there.

If you do bring it up, I imagine the takeover of their health care may be a crack in the dam to start a discussion.

Either that, or you can ask them where their chiaobama is? Then ask if they still support the Sprouthead. That oughta make for a fun conversation!! 😉
