Like many others I watched the “town hall” meeting in Portsmouth NH with the supposedly randomly selected audience.

    Full video:

    Link changed, updated link:

The second person “randomly” selected to ask a question was a young girl called Julia Hall from Malden MA (asks question at 29m:25s).

Julia read the following question off a piece of paper: “As I was walking in I saw a lot of signs outside saying mean things about reforming healthcare. How do kids know what is true and why do people want a new system that can help more of us”.

This randomly asked question gave Obama the perfect opportunity to dismiss talk about “death panels that will pull the plug on Grandma” and to blame Republicans for everything. Over on the town hall comments thread AtomicPunk09 discovered someone on facebook who might possibly be Julia’s mother and had a photo of her with Obama:

All old information and it cannot be proven that Kathleen is Julia’s mother, right????

Hold on, look who is sitting next to Julia in the video:

Another “coincidence” is that Julia said she lives in Malden MA and Kathleen Manning Hall’s campaign contributions list the occupation “Legal Asst, Looney and Grossman LLP” and a home address in Malden MA:

Looks like she donated $636 to Obama in 2008.

    But wait, there’s more:

    This lists donations to Obama of $230 on 6/15/07, $250 on 9/28/07, $500 on 9/30/07, $300 on 3/2/08

On that link we have the $636 previously mentioned from “Kathleen Manning Hall” but we also have $1355 donated to Obama by “Kathleen Hall, Legal Assistant, Looney & Grossman” at the same address.

(as an aside Looney and Grossman loves Democrats – their employees donated $12,101 in total to Democrats and $0 to Republicans)

Back to Kathleen’s Facebook Page, here are some of her Facebook friends that I googled to see if they were Democratic insiders:

Martha Coakley, (Democrat) Attorney General of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts
Adam Parkhomenko, former aide to Hillary Clinton, Democrat running for VA House of Delegates (who has the support of the Brady Campaign, President Clinton and Wes Clark)
Addisu Demissie, National Political Director of Organizing for America and former Ohio Get out The Vote director of Obama for America
Adrienne Elrod, Chief of Staff to Rep. Loretta Sanchez (D-CA)
Alan Rosenblatt, Associate Director for Online Advocacy at the Center for American Progress (and HuffPost blogger)
Alayna Van Tassel, Budget and Policy Director for MA Senator Pat Jehlen

I could go on and on but I think the point is clear – the cute question about “mean signs” was read from a pre-written note by the daughter of a Democrat political insider who is know to President Obama.

43 Things Actually Said in Job Interviews
    Print Article
    Posted Jul 17th 2009 2:30PM

    by Rachel Zupek, writer
“I’m not wanted in this state.”
“How many young women work here?”
“I didn’t steal it; I just borrowed it.”
“You touch somebody and they call it sexual harassment!”
“I’ve never heard such a stupid question.”

Believe it or not, the above statements weren’t overhead in bars or random conversations — they were said in job interviews.
Maybe you were nervous, you thought the employer would appreciate your honesty, or maybe you just have no boundaries. Whatever the reason, you can be certain that you shouldn’t tell an interviewer that it’s probably best if they don’t do a background check on you. (And yes, the hiring manager remembered you said that.)
We asked hiring managers to share the craziest things they’ve heard from applicants in an interview. Some are laugh-out-loud hysterical, others are jaw dropping — the majority are both. To be sure, they will relieve anyone who has ever said something unfortunate at a job interview — and simply amuse the rest of you.

Hiring managers shared these 43 memorable interview responses:
Why did you leave your last job?
    1. “I have a problem with authority.” – Carrie Rocha, COO of HousingLink
Tell us about a problem you had with a co-worker and how you resolved it
    2. “The resolution was we were both fired.”- Jason Shindler, CEO, Curvine Web Solutions
What kind of computer software have you used?
    3. “Computers? Are those the black boxes that sit on the floor next to the desks? My boss has one of those. He uses it. I don’t have one. He just gives me my schedule and I follow it.” – Greg Szymanski, director of human resources, Geonerco Management, Inc
What are your hobbies and interests?
    4. [He said] ‘Well, as you can see, I’m a young, virile man and I’m single — if you ladies know what I’m saying.’ Then he looked at one of the fair-haired board members and said, ‘I particularly like blondes.'” – Petri R.J. Darby, president, darbyDarnit Public Relations
    Why should we hire you?
    5. “I would be a great asset to the events team because I party all the time.” – Bill McGowan, founder, Clarity Media Group
    Do you have any questions?
    6. “Cross dressing isn’t a problem is it?” – Barry Maher, Barry Maher & Associates
    7. “If you were a fruit, what fruit would you be?” – Megan Garnett, Articulate Leadership Team, Articulate Communications Inc.
    8. “What do you want me to do if I cannot walk to work if it’s raining? Can you pick me up?” – Christine Pechstein, career coach
    9. “I was a Chamber of Commerce Executive once hiring a secretary. [The candidate asked] ‘What does a Chamber of Commerce do?'” – Mary Kurek, Mary Kurek, Inc. Visibility Consulting
    10. “Can we wrap this up fairly quickly? I have someplace I have to go.” – Bruce Campbell, vice president of marketing, Clare Computer Solutions
    11. “What is your company’s policy on Monday absences?” – Campbell
    12. “If this doesn’t work out can I call you to go out sometime?” – Christine Bolzan, founder of Graduate Career Coaching
    13. “How big do the bonuses really get once you make associate? I hear it’s some serious cash.” – Bolzan
    14. “[The candidate asked,] ‘Can my dad call you to talk about the job and the training program? He is really upset I’m not going to medical school and wants someone to explain the Wall Street path to him.’ The dad did call. Then that dad’s friends called and I ended up doing a conference call with a group of concerned parents … long story.” – Bolzan
    15. “If I get an offer, how long do I have before I have to take the drug test?” – Bolzan
    16. “When you do background checks on candidates, do things like public drunkenness arrests come up?” – Bolzan
    17. “Can I get a tour of the breast pumping room? I heard you have a great one here and while I don’t plan on having children for at least 10 or 12 years, I will definitely breast feed and would want to use that room.”- Bolzan

    30. “I’m really not a big learner. You know … some people love learning and are always picking up new things, but that’s just not me. I’d much rather work at a place where the job is pretty stagnant and doesn’t change a lot.” – Michaele Charles, Voice Communications
When have you demonstrated leadership skills?
    31. “Well my best example would be in the world of online video gaming. I pretty much run the show; it takes a lot to do that.” – Rachel Croce

    Random responses
    37. “One guy [said] ‘it would probably be best’ if I didn’t run a background check on him. Of course, I did, and learned all about his long, sordid past of law-breaking. In no time at all, Pinocchio, looking quite dead, was lying in a cosy bed in the castle, while the fairy called three famous doctors, crow, owl and cricket. A very bitter medicine, prescribed by these three doctors quickly cured the puppet, then as she caressed him, the fairy said: “Tell me what happened!”

Pinocchio told her his story, leaving out the bit about selling his first reading book, but when the fairy asked him where the gold coins were, the puppet replied that he had lost them. In fact, they were hidden in one of his pockets. All at once, Pinocchio’s nose began to stretch, while the fairy laughed.

“You’ve just told a lie! I know you have, because your nose is growing longer!” Blushing with shame, Pinocchio had no idea what to do with such an ungainly nose and he began to weep. However, again feeling sorry for him, the fairy clapped her hands and a flock of woodpeckers appeared to peck his nose back to its proper length.

“Now, don’t tell any more lies,” the fairy warned him,” or your nose will grow again! Go home and take these coins to your father.”

    Eagles Disobey v Project Camelot

(I still don’t get it. So they disagree.)

(I hesitate to post anything which includes David Wilcock.)

Zurich Conference Panel Discussion on Vaccinations, 11 July 2009
Zurich Conference Panel Discussion, 11 July 2009. The topic in this video was the panel members’ views on compulsory vaccination.

For a number of reasons, this discussion has become controversial. This unaltered video will set the record straight for all participants. Despite the differing views and the emotional nature of the question, it can be seen that all panel members emerge with a great deal of honor.

  14. rosettasister Says:

(Not sure if the following account is describing the same event in above video.)

    Wilcock’s interpretation:

Things went fairly well, and I made a few really good points on the old canards of Planet X, chemtrails and such, until we got a question dealing with Israel apparently moving to institute mandatory vaccinations for their people. The questioner said that if you don’t take the vaccine you will become exempt from any and all financial aid from the government.

Bill asked me what I thought of this, and I took the plunge. “This is a very controversial subject and I don’t like speaking about it,” I began, “but this is something you really need to watch out for.”

I went on to say that the simple, ugly truth was that more and more researchers have concluded that negative elements introduced HIV to Africa through a World Health Organization smallpox vaccine in 1976.

My original insider witness from college, Antonio, told me in the mid-1990s that you should never, ever say anything about AIDS possibly being synthetic, as you could be “killed very quickly” for doing so. Now, here I was on stage doing just that. I wasn’t comfortable with it, but the issue has indeed become mainstream now, and far too big for anyone to stop from being discussed.

I also mentioned that my mother had a swine-flu shot in the 1970s that caused her to get so sick that she almost died. To me, when you put those two together it was a powerful argument for not allowing any vaccines to enter your body, because you just can’t trust who is administering it at this point.

Once I had sufficiently made my case, Dan came in for a full-scale attack in favor of vaccines. He confronted me, starting with the question “How do you feel?”

I asked him if he was digging for something about the swine flu I just went through, as I didn’t get it at first. It turned out that his point was that as a microbiologist, he felt the case was very sound that vaccines do indeed confer immunity.

I don’t fundamentally disagree with this, nor did most of the audience.

The problem was that this was a Project Camelot audience, and no one is going to trust our institutions to administer safe vaccines at this point given what they know. In fact, the most recent Camelot witness “Waterman” had again asserted how dangerous this was, and that it might be used as population control.

Within a short time, Dan triggered a full-scale public uprising from the audience. It was absolutely shocking to be on stage and experiencing the full brunt of this as it happened.

20, 30 or more people at a time were yelling at him in short bursts, several of them standing and jabbing their fingers at him, while many others talked amongst themselves animatedly. Some of the loudest yelling was in German, most in English.

A few loud voices came to be the main challengers, often standing for the fight and shouting him down with invectives like “ILLUMINATI SCUM!!! HE IS INSULTING US!!!”

Dan was obviously challenged by this audience and did not back down.

He challenged the ‘cowards’ to “come out of the cover of darkness and into the light”, where they would then “sign this piece of paper with something, anything, any form of evidence to prove” what they were saying about vaccines.

As the video will show, when no one came up to sign the paper, Dan further provoked the audience — both verbally with sarcastic jabs, and nonverbally by repeatedly pointing his index finger the paper while giving a knowing grin and an imploring, cocked eyebrow: “I don’t see anything here yet! Not one of you are brave enough to face me!”

This ultimately led to an even deeper level of the revolt, where people did come into the light, start writing things on the paper, and confront him right at the foot of the stage.

As all this was going on I tried to offer a balancing perspective when called for. Several people pointed out to me how polarized we were — Dan on the far left, yours truly on the far right, and Bill in the middle trying to moderate.

Even better, behind us on the screen was an exclamation point inside a triangle, with the words “No Signal” next to it in German. Where was the voice of peace and higher consciousness I had represented just hours earlier? The audience had become the most incredible spectacle of aggression I’ve ever seen.

Here’s a shot of us on stage from the audience, once it had already started getting pretty bad. The whole scene kind of reminds me of the Last Supper, if you can imagine Jesus in a red T-shirt with a leather cowboy hat, getting pissed off at the audience and telling them to simmer down, having no interest in being crucified by them:

Again, I have no desire to argue with Dan, on stage or here in writing.

All I’m doing is documenting what I saw and experienced, and has been captured on video.

I must say it is terrifying to be on stage in front of an audience that is so agitated that you are right on the brink of a riot. Nothing actually violent happened in a physical sense, but it was ever-so close to that point for a good bit of time.

It was even more terrifying that neither Bill nor his co-organizer Ruth knew how to intervene or moderate the situation. There was no security, no time-out, no negotiation with the audience. Dan was running the show — even to the point of offering the boldest hecklers their own microphones!

Ultimately Dan stepped right off the stage into the middle of the crowd.

This was unbelievably brave on his part — I certainly would not have done such a thing if all those people had been yelling at me. In an emotional moment he said, “If you can’t trust me, then how can I help you?” He honestly did not believe that anyone would use vaccines as a weapon, and his training suggested that the good outweighs the bad when it comes to the gift of immunity that they can provide.

Dan was quite emotional by this point — going right up to his hecklers in the audience and seeking detente with them — and when he came back on stage from this journey into the Abyss, the mood was very powerful.

You really had to be there to see it, and I have no idea if the video will do it any justice.

Dan did actually side with the hecklers at one point after returning to the stage, but they were so addicted to yelling and screaming at him that they didn’t even realize he was now agreeing with them.

Again, I intervened, and shouted back at the hecklers, saying “He is AGREEING with you! You’re yelling at him for no reason!” Others stood in the audience and yelled the same thing, and again we were at a near-meltdown point. It was totally wild. I was literally praying that we were not going to have physical violence erupt.

People honestly thought Dan was still an insider, there to mess with them and try to lure them into taking what they obviously considered to be deadly, lethal vaccines. It was clear that no one would take them, and Dan said that if anything they provided him with turned out to be viable, he would use it.

I do believe that is true, and he has now issued a statement on Project Camelot to the effect that he is launching a full investigation of the issue, and will report whatever he finds.

With Dan getting beaten up this much, even though he had already attacked me fairly strongly earlier along, I felt it was important that people get a sense of what I knew about him. I knew that he had paid a terrible price to get out of Majestic — he had just told me something in confidence at the airport.

I spoke up in his defense, saying to the audience that if they had any idea what he had to sacrifice to leave Majestic, it would break their hearts. He was in tears when he told me, but I could not tell them what it was.

“Go ahead,” Dan said from the far left-hand side of our table. “Go ahead and tell them.”

I was shocked, given the gravity of the issue as he had explained it to me. “Are you REALLY sure you want to go there?”

“Just do it,” he said. “It’s too late now. They need to hear this. Do it.”

Now I was tasked with sharing something that was very emotional and very real.

As part of the backstory, Dan had informed me that there was a treaty in place with the J-Rods, a group of beings from Orion who claim to be “future-human lineage” ETs.

In simpler terms, these are allegedly our own ‘ancestors’ who visit us from three time periods: 24,000 years in the future (P24s), 45,000 years in the future (P45s), and 52,000 years in the future (P52s.)

They are also called J-RODS, apparently because of a symbol they use to represent themselves that looks like the letter J with a bar or dash — a “Rod” — after it. The P24s are the ones who crashed in Roswell, and they look more like us than the P45s and P52s, who are more akin to “Greys.”

Particularly as you get to the P52s, they experience a disease called “degenerative neuropathy” that quite literally is making their bodies fall apart, including their skin scaling off. This is what Dan feels is responsible for the ‘reptilian’ observations some have made.

The classic Burisch story goes that the J-Rods feel we had a cataclysm in 2012, caused by a “surge of micro-wormholes” from the galaxy, and that only a small number of them survived in the aftermath.

This drastically-reduced gene pool led to their stock dying out. And thus, they are now traveling back in time and abducting people in the hopes of gaining new genetic material to freshen up their stock.

As I mention in my first video, The 2012 Enigma, this same exact theme is precisely given in “The Last Mimzy,” a film from the producers of Close Encounters that uses a children’s theme to express concepts that are very, very similar to Burisch’s testimony. That means that either the producers are major Burisch fans, or just possibly he is telling the truth — and they felt strongly enough about it to work it into a movie.

What has always shocked me about this story is how similar it is to what the Law of One series reports. They explain that the service-to-self faction of ETs originates from Orion, just as the J-RODS do in Burisch’s testimony. Henry Deacon also validated Burisch’s testimony as factual, based on what he was told.

The Law of One series also explains that over time, the service-to-self entities begin to ‘dissolve’ if they do not go positive, and there is nothing else that can be done. Either they go positive or they will die, and their soul energy will ultimately be divided up and recycled into new souls.

This ‘dissolving’ is precisely what we see with the degenerative neuropathy. Their DNA is the conduit between the soul and the body, and it is literally falling apart, causing the body to fail. No measure of interventions can help. There are no time-travelers from anything past 52,000 years in the future. Their line must die out soon after that watermark.

In Burisch’s testimony, the Orions have the treaties with the negative aspects of our government — the Neocons and so forth. They see 2012 as a cataclysm, and they survived from within the underground bases that the elite apparently go to when this happens.

[As I keep repeating so many times, the Law of One testimony suggests that in the event there IS some sort of a mega-Earth Change in 2012, it only appears as a catastrophe for those on the negative path. Everyone else — both the positives and the in-between fence sitters — experiences a shift where they are in a safe, happy and unbroken continuity.

I use various Bible quotes as well as other prophetic sources, far more recent, to make the case in my talks — including material from the 1950s and many quotes from the Law of One series. The simple fact is that for the vast majority of us, this is a highly positive shift — a massive spiritual renaissance that is unlike anything we have ever imagined.

The negatives thus believe everyone has died because they can’t see them anymore. They are now on a completely different plane in which they have now created a reality of death and destruction that they must endure. See “Law of One and 2012: The Facts!” for an in-depth analysis of this key subject.

The Pyramid Timeline deftly exposes this “Three-Way Split” referred to in the Law of One series, and in the transcript you’re about to see from this radio show I did with Project Camelot, you’ll encounter some of it — including new data that reconciles everything important in the Pyramid to the pivotal year of 2012.]

Everything in Burisch and Deacon’s testimony about the “future-human lineage ETs” lines up with the statements about the 4D-negative ‘graduation’ referred to in the Law of One series.

It is rather poetic and ironic that the people who are betraying and tormenting our New World Order / Illuminati people on this planet may very well be their own great-great-great-great grandchildren. How fitting!

Anyway, in the airport Dan told me that in order to work for Majestic, he had to sign a treaty with the J-Rods — and he never saw all the terms of the contract. Apparently his children are classified as “heirlooms” in this treaty. If he leaves the group then he automatically creates an inter-species exchange of ‘heirlooms.’ His children go to the J-Rods, and J-Rod children come to Majestic.

The only way Dan could truly leave Majestic and protect his children was to strip them of their status as ‘heirlooms.’ This meant that he had to completely give up all custody and all contact with them. Otherwise, the story goes, they would be abducted and probably never returned.

I know this sounds like far-fetched science fiction, but Dan was very serious when he told me this in the airport and he completely broke down. When I brought it up on stage, I only said a very short amount to make the point, and then I broke down. I said to Dan, “I’m sorry. I’m so, so sorry” as the tears flowed.

Dan really lost it at this point. I then went on to say that I considered him a hero for leaving Majestic and sharing his testimony with the world.

The audience, stunned by the display of emotion and the sacrifice Dan made to come forward, rose to their feet in a standing ovation.

Some have criticized all of this and suggested that it was all a ploy — that either Dan set this up or that I am somehow an ‘insider’ who planned all this out with him. Nothing could be further from the truth. I desperately wanted to de-escalate the situation for my own safety and the safety of everyone else.

I had information that no one else did… information that made the case much stronger to me. Dan’s presentation of this information was not in the least bit insincere. And to me it was perfectly in keeping with what a Law of One scholar would expect of the Orions.

The next morning there were workshops, and I elected not to have any of my own in advance because I am trying to buck this trend in favor of the all-in-one rate, so the audience is not divided and not charged more.

I also do not want to create talks intended to tempt people into spending more to see another talk later on.

Anyway, everyone returned for ex-NASA astronaut Dr. Brian O’Leary’s lecture on free energy. After that, Bill had scheduled another section that was his final address, all by himself. I didn’t think it was wise not to have me on again given how strongly the audience wanted to see me, but I wasn’t in charge!

Halfway through Brian’s lecture, I found out that ‘Henry’ was ready to come forward. We had talked about it over the weekend, here and there, but I didn’t think he’d ever do it. We’d been talking about it for three years — two of which I was directly a part of — and nothing had ever happened. I had already given up.

Now, all of a sudden, I had to suit up, get my microphone on, get an interpreter, and join ‘Henry’ on stage. He had bonded strongly with Brian on our nights at the Chinese restaurant, and he felt he had valuable information to share regarding free energy.

In the course of Dr. O’Leary’s talk, ‘Henry’ realized that he had been brainwashed on the inside into thinking that free energy would be the death of humanity — not the salvation that it was now being presented as. Somehow, this emotional hook was sufficient to get him to take the stage.

The audience was dazzled as they realized who my ‘Uncle Mark’ really was — it was the ultimate “third-act reveal” in Hollywood lingo — the “Big Twist” at the end of a great movie that no one saw coming. I must say it was quite a surprise.

I was able to dialogue with ‘Henry’ on stage. He did give his full, real name, and obviously was filmed and photographed. At this time he is still piecing himself back together and has asked not to have his name or images come out just yet — he wants a little time to breathe.

Nonetheless, he did it, and his brave testimony is now on video and will be available in the near future. The whole thing was incredible, and I took a key role in shaping the discussion with ‘Henry’ while also keeping it squarely in Dr. O’Leary’s court, since it was technically still his event.

I asked Dr. O’Leary to show us the pictures and stories of the scientists he wanted to talk about, and their working technology. Up came Dr. Eugene Mallove, and I had to say something. Again, I became very emotional.

Dr. Mallove was going to visit Washington, DC with Richard Hoagland the week after all three of us went on Coast-to-Coast AM with George Noory. He was going to bring a table-top free energy device that would move just by you staring at it — truly an astonishing little unit. This would be shown to senators and congressmen in order to formally open Congressional hearings on bringing out free energy to the public.

We were set to go on the air on a Saturday. Dr. Mallove was not on the schedule — we had planned to have him energe as a secret, surprise guest. The only person he’d ever spoken to about this was Richard, on the phone.

The day before he was going to go on the air, he was bludgeoned to death in his backyard by someone who had rented the property from him. The man who did it collapsed into a fetal position and cried like a child when the police came and questioned him, in classic Manchurian Candidate style.

It is very likely that this was not an ordinary tenant, but a hypnotically-controlled ‘plant’ who was ready to be used, if needed — and this was the event that caused him to be activated.

I did admittedly ‘lose it’ on stage, saying “The killing has got to stop.” I do not want to see anyone like “Uncle Mark” harmed for coming forward. If anything does happen to him, he will be proven correct, and we have additional testimony we will release at that time.

I asked ‘Henry’ about what it was like to connect with positive human ETs in person, and he gave a simple but profound explanation of how happy and uplifting it is to be around them. Privately, he said that being around the Ground Crew was almost at that same level, and everyone was very pleased.

    Ha!…On which part?

As far as vaccines go….I won’t be getting one, not because I do or don’t believe that they are intended to do harm, but because I live remotely enough to be able to self quarantine myself to keep any virus from reaching me….Just take a look at all of the unintended bad side affects of standard medications and then multiply that by 100 and that’s how confident I am in the vaccines….Intended or unintended, who knows, but why risk it if you can avoid the virus.

As far as Dan goes, the info in that article by Kerry, I assume it is Kerry, as it sounds like her, is completely different than what Dan testified to in his second interview with Camelot…In that interview he never mentioned anything about P-24s existing whatsoever….He also stated that it was the P-45s that were the Grays and were also the ones doing the abductions for human DNA farming due to a particular neuropathy that they were experiencing….He also stated that the P-52s were the Nordic variety, looking almost just like us and very hard to distinguish….So either Kerry got it all wrong in this article, which I highly doubt or Dan can’t make up his mind on which is which…If it’s the latter, then as far as I’m concerned that would make Dan a lying sack of shit….People just don’t confuse or mix up things of that importance….I am of completely convinced that about 95% of the people that Bill and Kerry deal with are absolutely full of crap, but unfortunately actually and truly believe their own BS as being real truth….Here is an example: John Leer, as in “LEER JETS” that his father designed and built, says that the moon was artificially towed / moved into the position in which it is now located….I’m serious, he really believes that….I guess that a cosmic tow truck hooked on to it right where that really bright spot is, Tika / Tyka I believe it’s called, and towed it to us for mining minerals….”Henry Deacon” has hung out on Mars?…Please!!!!….I think their are a lot of people with really huge egos and people with inferiority complexes that crave to be someone of great importance or want to be held in awe.

Ok, I said about 95% of the people that they deal with and then there is the other five.

This is the conclusion that I have come to, but all of the absurd crap I keep filed away in memory, as a “what if”, just incase anything comes to fruition.

Just my opinion as of late.

But after reading Dan and Marcia’s lengthy explanations, still I am not satisfied.

It would seem that D and M believe that Kerry somehow orchestrated certain events and it all has to do with the vaccinate v don’t vaccinate debate.

Even if all that and more is true and D and M felt the need to disassociate themselves from Project Camelot…

D and M could have, should have handled the situation more humanely.

I can only conclude that in spite of all their protestations and explanations, D and M’s intent was to harm Kerry.

So I remain where I was when I first heard of this.

Kerry did not deserve to be treated this way.

There has to be a loving way to remedy the situation.

The eminent sociologist of religion Peter L. Berger tells a humorous but apt story about Communist Russia from Soviet times that perhaps reflects what happened at U.S. Congressman Adam Schiff’s agitprop Health Care Townhall meeting in Alhambra Tuesday night:

“I read somewhere that there was some usual anti-religious campaign by the Communist Party and an agitprop (propaganda) person was sent to a Russian village and gave a one-hour lecture on scientific atheism; all the villagers had to listen to it. At the end of the lecture the Communist Party operative said, “We are very tolerant here. The priest can have five minutes for a rebuttal.” (Laughter.)

The priest went up front and said he didn’t need five minutes. He turned to the assembled village and said, “Christ is risen.”

And the villagers replied in the liturgical formula of Eastern liturgy: “He’s risen indeed.” That’s all he said, and that was all necessary to say.”

Schiff’s Townhall meeting was originally to be held in a small theater where only about 200 could be accommodated. Due to the huge turnout, estimated between 4,000 to 6,000, the meeting was instead held outdoors on a stage in front of the Library in Alhambra. By the sound of the crowd, those opposing the proposed health care reform were in much greater numbers than the proponents.

The meeting was not an American Townhall format. It was more like the Soviet propaganda meeting described above. Health care experts all with affiliations with the Democratic Party and pro-Obama-care shared the stage with Schiff. They were all given microphones and given time to filibuster the first half of the meeting with lectures and propaganda in support of Obama-care.

Questions were taken from the audience but none of the questioners was given a microphone. Instead their questions had to be translated by moderator Dr. Bruce Hensel. Their voices and their rage were muted out and marginalized because no one could hear them over the sound of the crowd. Their voices were relegated to heckling, shouting over the speakers from afar, waving signs, all to no avail. Schiff and his entourage of elitist experts propounded the advantages of “scientific” health care and “computerized” medical records which would lower costs and shift health care delivery from quantitative care to qualitative care. Faith was to be placed in technocracy and bureaucracy. The Hippocratic Oath and the doctor-patient relationship was to be replaced with the House of Representative Health Care Reform Act. It was as if the Nicene Creed could be replaced with HR 3200.

Neither Schiff, nor any of the technocratic experts, dared to mention the propsed health care reform would inevitably entail the end of chemotherapy and tumor removal surgeries for those with cancer. Shifting shifting to outcomes based health care would mean the end of costly cancer treatments with a low probability of cure. It might also mean the end of angioplasty and stents for those with blocked arteries. Instead, patients would be assigned “preventive” care and a vegan diet.

The message from Congressman Schiff was unambiguous. Effectively, Schiff might as well of said to his constituents who oppose Obamacare “your comments on the proposed health care bill before the House of Representatives are unimportant to me. The “experts” are all in favor of reform and we know what is best for you. I’ve got my mind made up and I’m going to sign the health care bill as proposed. Now you can go away mad, but just go away.”

Like the Russian peasants in a rural village given a lecture on scientific atheism the American peasants could only recite their muted protests and wave their signs. If I hadn’t been at a so-called American Townhall meeting in Alhambra tonight I could have sworn I was at the Soviet era Communist Party lecture in a rural Russian village described above. The nomenklatura (ruling class) has signaled they are taking over and you better like it.

Certainly, the above reflections are not to label Congressman Adam Schiff a “commie,” thus relegating myself to the category of the “crazies” on the political right, many of whom were in attendance. But somehow I got the feeling that these Townhall meetings were historical, much like some of the scenes in the movie Dr. Zhivago where the Bolsheviks have finally ascended to power in old Russia. We are witnessing a cultural shift of historical proportions. Now the phrase “better dead than red” had taken on a whole new meaning.

The Democrats Vs. the Tea Parties Day 9: Everything According to Plan
There’s a great joke about a donkey and a camel and the punch line ends with “shut up A$$hole, I know what I’m doing”. For the last week and a half, everyone seemed to criticize the town hall protesters. Speaker Pelosi called them un American. Most of the mainstream media mocked them. Even the Fox News panel said that they were counter productive to their cause because the story became about them. Yet, the facts are bearing out that these town hall events are drawing attention to the flaws in the bill and they will, as I predicted, put the final nail in the coffin of the President’s health care bill.

First, if you were watching some of the riveting television yesterday, you might have thought you were in an alternate universe. Both Senator Arlen Specter and Senator McCaskill held town hall events yesterday. They were contentious to say the least.

Then, the president held a town hall meeting and it was a down right love fest.

The first question came from a local Democratic lawmaker (in the New Hampshire area that is) who proclaimed that if the Republicans refuse to get on board wouldn’t it make sense to move forward on “needed reform” without them. Then, there was the 11 year old girl that asked essentially why so many people are lying about his health care reform bill. It turns out her mom is a major Dem fundraiser and the girl has been on the campaign trail with Obama in 2008. Now, if you only watched the President’s town hall, you might believe that health care reform is a good idea. Of course, if you have been watching the news at all over the last two weeks, then you know that the president’s town hall was nothing more than theater.

Then, there’s the latest Rasmussen poll. Support for Congress’ health care reform is at its lowest leve so far. Support is down to 42% from 47%. I predicted that support would fall into the 30’s by the end of the month. Now, we’ll never know if support is falling due to reaction of the events, or if the events reflect the falling support. What we do know is that there isn’t a single poll that shows any support for the President’s plan. As such, the folks that are showing up are NOT plants, astro turfers, or the extremes, but they reflect the country at large.

As this has unfolded, I have made several predictions about how this story would unfold. I predicted that the town halls would become more polite as they unfolded. Yesterday, we saw some of that at least at the Specter event which was confrontational but respectful, for the most part. I also predicted that town hall protesters would begin to show up on television in interviews. That’s what starting to happen.

So, what happens when these same folks show up on interviews? First, everyone can see that they are citizens and not some plants. Second, they can show their disgust for the Speaker characterizing them as “un American”. Third, they can reiterated their disgust with the health care bill as it is.

We still have nearly three more weeks of this story gripping the nation. There are so many angles to it and there will be plenty of time to cover all of them. That’s what’s happening. One of the angles is that the public isn’t merely opposed to the plan but viscerally opposed to it. These are voters. They are Americans of all stripes from all parts of the country. That’s what becomes more obvious every day.

It isn’t merely that the public is overwhelmingly opposed to the plan. It’s much more that the opposition has all the passion, energy, and life behind it. That’s playing out in the town halls. Politicians would have to simply stubbornly decide to do as they please if they ignore what is happening to them right now. If Claire McCaskill goes back to D.C. and signs onto this plan she is simply ignoring the will that her voters are expressing. If Arlen Specter signs on, he is doing the same. There’s no politician that can walk away from a town hall that could determine anything but that their constituency doesn’t want this. If politicians are convinced by the town hall events, they need only to look at the polls which say the exact same thing.

Social Security To Be Saved Through ObamaCare?
    vanity | 8/12/2009 | johncocktoasten

What insurance company would be allowed to sell a Life Only Annuity and at the same time, run the HMO that the Annuitant depends on for life sustaining care? The answer is none. Because the insurable risk, the risk of outliving income, is borne by the insurance company. Insurers would be in the position of reducing the level of their own risk by reducing the level of care given to Annuitants thru their HMO. This doesn’t happen in the United States, except in the circumstance of Veterans. Veterans receive their Annuity/Pension from the government, and receive their medical care from the same entity throught the Veterans Administration.

The care given Veterans is abysmal by any objective measure. Care is rationed, Veterans wait in lines regularly, whether it be for surgery or for simple checkups. Is this intentional and directly correlated to the fact that Veterans are usually also Pensioners of the same entity? I doubt it. But we don’t need a definitive answer to the question to realize that a conflict of interest exists. The vested economic interest of the government and taxpayers is for the cost of both pensions and care to be lower, thus requiring less taxes to be collected to cover the expense.

Americans love their Veterans. We don’t think of them in terms of their relative costs, or the value received in return for the expense. They have made the sacrifice for us, and the majority of us love and respect them for that sacrifice. Their reward is a mere pittance of what they truly deserve. Unfortunately, the fallacy propogated by liberals, is that government, just like a person, can love and as a result, approach public policy questions from a perspective of empathy. No government can love or care, they can only make and enforce law and regulation.

Social Security’s insolvency has been a result of government taking on a conflict of interest, instead of establishing a mandate that is carried out thru the private sector and the states. Government has taken on the pension risk, and accepted pension premiums (taxes) in exchange. An insurance company writing an annuity contract would be required to place the “premiums” in a separate account, only deducting the Mortality and Risk Expense to fund its obligation. At the time of annuitization, the Annuitant would choose their payment options based upon the amount they had saved, and the lump sum would be turned over to the Insurer in exchange. The government instead, has commingled the premiums with its other funds and obligations. An insurance company doing the same thing would have its license revoked immediately and would be wound down.

At the same time they have accepted the pension risk, the Government has also taken responsibility for extending the lives of the elderly, thru curative and palliative health care funding (Medicare). We know what Medicare does and doesn’t cover thru parts A and B, but what we don’t know is how high life expectancies would be today if Medicare was a mandate executed by the private sector and states.

Medicare Part D has been an example that a government mandate, carried out thru the private sector competition can succeed. Seniors get the drugs they need, at a reasonable premium, and their premium dollar is competed for by numerous insurance providers, reducing costs and improving efficiency. As a result, more seniors get their drugs and to eat people food at the same time. In the long term, this will extend life expectancies.

Extension of life expectancy also creates an additional mandate upon the government for Social Security pension payments, contributing to its insolvency. But if Social Security were run as an actual insurance program, like Medicare Part D, expenses would be lowered, payments would be based on real actuarial tables, and competition would result in greater benefits to the pensioners. In addition, removing the government from administration of the Social Security program would be one step in taking away the conflict of interests that exists under the current proposals.

Much like car insurance, health insurance could be mandated with loosening of restrictions such as purchasing policies across state lines, and expansion of H.S.A.’s aiding younger insureds to utilize high deductible plans for more of their lifetimes. Much of the squawking about “pre-existing conditions” comes from people who chose not to carry health insurance and then got sick. If you were covered by group health insurance and had pre-existing conditions, as long as you remain covered under COBRA, or obtain other group coverage within 60 days, you cannot be denied payment for pre-existing conditions. Imagine the person who has a car accident while uninsured, and calls GEICO right after the accident to get coverage retroactive to prior to the accident. Wouldn’t happen. You must own the insurance in advance, that is why it is called insurance.

If every individual in this country owned medical insurance, thus ensuring 95%-97% of billed medical services were paid, do you think costs would necessarily drop? Of course they would. If medical costs fell, and insurance companies made big profits writing health insurance, do you think more of them would do it? Of course they would. Do you think in the name of big profits, insurance companies would offer better features to lure more customers from the competition? Of course they would. If the hospitals and drug companies made better profits because more customers paid their bills, do you think they would invest more money into improving services to draw more customers and become more profitable? Of course they would. If there was a competitor in the marketplace who could lose $200 billion dollars a year and offer benefits they could never dream of offering profitable, do you think they would leave the business? Of course they would. If that one competitor was the only place left to get medical coverage, do you think everyone would end up with coverage there? Of course they would. If that competitor was the same place responsible for paying you your pension until death, and their pension plan was already insolvent, do you think the temptation would exist to deny you care so you were less of a liability? Of course it would.

President Obama should follow the lead of his predecessors, George W. Bush and Bill Clinton, and release more of his personal records.[22] Access to the US government’s files on the assassination was vital to disproving some JFK assassination theories, and the 9/11 Commission report and NIST studies on the World Trade Center attacks have sucked much, though not all, of the air out of the 9/11 Truth Movement.

When it comes to the Paranoid Style, sunshine is the best disinfectant.

22] Bill Clinton and George W. Bush had much more extensive vetting of their personal histories during their political careers. They released more personal information during their campaigns (medical history, military records, college grades, etc.) than has Obama. As Andrew C. McCarthy pointed out July 30 in the National Review Online (“Suborned in the USA”), Obama has resisted releasing basic information about his past. McCarthy concludes: “What’s wrong with saying, to a president who promised unprecedented ‘transparency’: Give us all the raw data and we’ll figure it out for ourselves?”

The Atlantic’s Andrew Sullivan and Salon’s Camille Paglia have urged Obama to release his long-form birth certificate.

The Unexpected Socialist Coalition- Leftist and Corporate Elites
Those who are opposed to Obama’s totalitarian government takeover of the health care system should be wary of thinking that the tussle over it is a struggle between leftists who favor socialism and pro-Big Business proponents of the private sector economy. They’ll get a better idea of the truth from an article (Burdened by healthcare costs, US businesses seek a shift) that appeared back in February, 2007. This was well before Obama became the focus of America’s collapse into socialism. The article focused on an event at which “Wal-Mart chief executive Lee Scott took the stage… alongside representatives of a major labor union to kick off a campaign called ‘Better Health Care Together.’ The aim of this unlikely partnership is to extend coverage to all Americans by 2012…” According to the article “Wal-Mart was joined by other major companies: Intel, AT&T and Kelly Services.” Another online article, (Wal-Mart, SEIU Outline Themes to Meet Health Coverage Goal by 2012) makes clear that the union with which these corporate giants joined forces was the now infamous SEIU.

Of course, the SEIU is presently making internet waves on account of its bully-boy tactics against people who question or reject Obama’s takeover scheme. What are we to make of this alliance between Obama’s henchmen and such large corporate interests?

The answer is simple: both favor an eventual government takeover of health care costs. This is hardly surprising from a leftist union. A little sense of history makes it less surprising from the corporate side than might otherwise be the case.

In late nineteenth to mid-twentieth century America, many Americans earned their living in company towns. The company was their landlord. It owned the store where they bought their food and other merchandise. It probably had the lion’s share of interest in the local bank from which they obtained mortgages and other loans. The managerial class it represented also controlled (through charitable and philanthropic institutions) the institutions that addressed social welfare problems (soup kitchens, orphanages, care for the disabled, and the like.) Given the company’s clout, local government officials, including local law enforcement officers, tread carefully around its interests and the representatives of its power. In effect, such towns represented a local form of dictatorial socialism, with the corporate elite as the ‘party bosses’ dictating the content and enforcement of policy. Let’s call this kind of governance local “corporate socialism.”

At first, modern unions came into being to challenge corporate socialism. As their membership and solidarity grew, the American political system eventually allowed unions to translate their organization and numbers into political clout. Thanks to this clout, government, particularly at the state level, could no longer be counted on to respect the wishes of the ‘corporate party.’ Unions pushed successfully for higher wages, and other benefits that cut into corporate profits. They influenced the legislative power of government to impose regulations intended to improve safety and other working conditions.

In response to the rising influence of the unions in the government sector the ‘corporate party’ devised a long term approach intended to shift the effective burden for satisfying these demands to the government, so that eventually their cost would be shifted back to the wage-earners. Under the plausible guise of ‘progressive’ reform the ‘corporate party’ took overall control of America’s national income through the establishment of the Federal Reserve Bank system, and the implementation of the Federal income tax. The hardships of the Great Depression then provided the context for the first steps in shifting “social welfare” responsibilities to the government.

The Federal income tax was implemented on the false assumption that only a small percentage of income earners would ever be subject to the tax. But the New Deal’s social insurance legislation (we now call it social security), provided good cover for implementing general payroll tax withholding, which had met with considerable resistance when the income tax was first imposed. When the withholding scheme expanded during WWII, all income earners were subjected to its terms.

Under local corporate socialism in the old company towns, companies often cut amounts for housing, utilities and payments due at the company store, leaving wage earners to live on the residue. In our times, as the national government moves to consolidate control over the banking system, access to health care and control of corporate management, American earners find themselves once again living in a “company town”, but this time on a national scale. Under national corporate socialism, however, the government acts as the collector of dues. The advantage of this arrangement is the perception that the government’s actions reflect the will of the people, who must blame themselves (not business profiteers) for the burdensome costs and regulations imposed on them.

It’s becoming increasingly clear, however, that earners (now taxpayers) under national corporate socialism will have no more say over the policies and choices they must live with than their predecessors, who lived under the local corporate socialist regime. What we have is the re-institution of the age old system of elite (oligarchic) rule that characterized human societies throughout most of history. The national corporate socialist coalition, by hijacking and devaluing the structures of representative government, deprives the people at large of any political avenues through which to challenge their elite masters. We appreciate the full extent of this deprivation only when we accept the fact that under the present so-called two party system, both parties now represent and implement the basic premises of national corporate socialist control.

Is this why Congressmen and Senators now take offense at the questions of their constituents, scolding them in tones reminiscent of haughty aristocrats? Does it explain why Obama presumes to silence all opposition, as though he should reign unquestioned, like some absolute monarch? Does it explain the Republican Party’s surrender to socialism at the critical turning point of the so-called bank rescue last fall? Does it explain the complicity of the corporate financed media, including supposedly conservative personalities, in preventing scrutiny of the questionable evidence that supports Obama’s claim to the Presidency?

It’s important to note that in the expression ‘national corporate socialism’ the term “national” is used in a strictly geographic sense. The ideological leftists and the corporate entities that have joined forces in the national corporate socialist coalition, long ago abandoned all allegiance to the concept of the “nation” as a focus of moral or political allegiance. No gods command their loyalty but Power and Profit and they respect no boundaries in their ambitious pursuit of both. This distinguishes the new national corporate socialism from the national socialism that gave Adolf Hitler’s Nazi party its name. (This also distinction has a moral dimension that I will discuss in my next post.)

The leftist elements of the national corporate socialist coalition pretend to be interested in egalitarian access to goods and services. The corporate elements cast themselves as problem solvers. In fact both are interested mainly in consolidating control of power and resources so as to eliminate the decisive role of the people at large. The governing ‘ism’ ultimately turns out to be ‘elitism’. The ultimate goal- overthrow of government of, by and for the people. That’s why the reassertion of liberty, and a common will to defeat every element of the corporate socialist strategy for its destruction, need to be the rallying points for all Americans who wish to remain a free people. It’s also why such people should trust no leaders, parties or media they do not fashion for themselves.

The four members — Sens. Susan Collins (R-Maine), Ben Nelson (D-Neb.) and Bill Nelson (D-Fla.) and Rep. Earl Pomeroy (D-N.D.) — also urged their colleagues to remain committed to the development of a bipartisan reform bill.

Sen. Ben Nelson said, “I’m trying to be an amicus to the process and to bring the two sides together,” while Collins said, “I don’t think that it advances the health care debate when people on either side try to create demons”

Socialists Right and Left- Same Difference
In yesterday’s post I used the expression ‘national corporate socialism’ to describe the mentality that drives the coalition of leftist and corporate interests now working together to promote the government takeover of control and costs in the health sector of the U.S. economy. This expression naturally calls to mind and invites comparison with the ‘national socialism’ from which Adolf Hitler’s Nazi party took its name. The major difference between the two lies in the fact that both the leftists of the Obama faction, and the big business interests working with them appear to believe that scientific materialism is an acceptable basis for dealing with human affairs. They accept approaches based on the premise that on the whole human beings are material objects, essentially no different than rocks, hammers or electrons.

Because the enormous evils the Nazis perpetrated so consistently involved dehumanizing the people they sought to exterminate, we tend to forget that the core of the Nazi ideology involved the concept of the ‘volk’, which derived its existential meaning from the occult and mystic qualities of the blood. According to the Nazis, the essential traits that distinguish one race from another reside in the blood, establishing the hierarchy of inferior and superior beings. According to the Nazis, it was from its blood that the Aryan nation derived its unique role in humanity’s journey toward perfection. Unlike the scientific materialists, who ultimately rejected all vestiges of Immanuel Kant’s effort to take account of the mysterious, non-material aspect of man’s consciousness of being, Hitler embraced Schopenhauer’s exaltation of the will as the locus and expression of that mystery. Essential to the will is the goal, which makes it possible for man to become what Nietzsche call an “arrow of longing”, aimed toward a moment of perfection comprehensible in action, but inexpressible in purely material terms.

The possibility of total commitment that arises from this exaltation of the will sweeps aside the boundaries implied by objective reality, and with them the limits upon human will that arise in good conscience as we deal with individuals whose existence demands respect for those boundaries. The commitment to reach for unbounded perfection informed by merely human will plunged the German people into a vast sea of evil, stained red with the blood of the victim millions they sacrificed on the altar of self-worship. But despite their disregard for humanity in others, the Nazis acknowledged in themselves the truth of its subjective being, the indefinable something that elevates humanity above the flotsam and jetsam of the materialistic universe.

To do evil the Nazis dehumanized others, whom they then sacrificed for the possibility of self-willed human perfection they idolized in themselves. The scientific materialists who now seek to supplant constitutional self-government in the United States act on an understanding that denies the relevance of man’s subjective perception of existence. They pretend that science has demystified existing things, among which they included human beings. Where the Nazis exalted human will, these national socialists exalt human knowledge in its scientific form. Where the Nazis denied the boundaries on human will implied by objective reality, the contemporary national socialists deny the boundaries on human action implied by the subjective perception of meaning we derive from our experience of willing. The result: the new national socialists exempt no one from the dehumanizing paradigm of scientific understanding. In principle, therefore, they dehumanize not this or that group of human beings, but the whole of humanity.

In some of my speeches over the years, I have made bold to predict that because we are discarding the moral principles that allow us to recognize and acknowledge the evil that we do, evils will be done in the twenty-first century that make the holocausts of the twentieth look like a dress rehearsal. As Americans consider the struggle now taking place, I hope a saving remnant will look beyond the details of the particular issues we debate, and reflect on the general import of the choices involved. For I believe that the American people could have a special role to play in the human journey. However, it is not a role determined by materialistic and impersonal accident, nor set up by the committed force of human will. The great principle of our beginning allots to us the task of acknowledging the true source and mainstay of both objective reality and the subjective meaning our will ascribes to it. That source is the being-in-itself whose goodwill determined and daily renews the possibility of both, the Creator God whose authority our Founders respected as the basis for human rights and justice. Their respect for God’s will distinguishes them decisively from both the ‘right wing’ national socialists of old, and those of the left with whom we now contend. I believe it is imperative for true Americans to join together now to preserve the work that reflects their wisdom, uniting for God, for Liberty and the Constitution in order to preserve both conscience and humanity.

U.S. Federal Deficit Hits 1.27 Trillion USD

The U.S. federal deficit has topped 1.27 trillion U.S. dollars in the first 10 months of this fiscal year, according to Treasury Department statistics released on Wednesday.

The department reported that the U.S. federal government spent 180.7 billion dollars more than it made in July, pushing the red ink so far in the current fiscal year to a new record.

The huge deficit in the 10 months of the current fiscal year started in October was more than triple the amount of red ink incurred during the year-ago period. The deficit for all of 2008 was 454.8 billion dollars.

The Obama administration is forecasting that the budget deficit would rise to an all-time high of 1.84 trillion dollars in the current fiscal year, about four times the record set last year.

Under the administration’s estimates, the 1.84-trillion-dollar deficit will be followed by a red ink of 1.26 trillion dollars in 2010, and will never dip below 500 billion dollars over the next decade.

The administration estimates the deficits will total 7.1 trillion dollars from 2010 to 2019.

The worsening budget deficit reflects the soaring costs of the government’s economic stimulus package and financial rescue program, and the recession, which has resulted in sharp decline in tax revenue.

While tax revenues are down, the government is paying out more than expected for unemployment benefits and food stamps.

  87. rosettasister Says:

Bernanke is going on a buying spree with you money

The Federal Reserve’s Federal Open Market Committee minutes reveal that the Fed is going on a buying spree.

The Fed plans to buy $1.25 trillion of agency mortgage backed securities, $200 billion of agency debt by the end of the year, and $300 billion of Treasury securities.

One can only guess from these numbers that the Fed is extremely worried about the financial sector and is still trying to prop up the banks by buying their junk securities to get them off the hook.

Then too, the buying of $300 billion of Treasury securities is another way to pump money into the banking system.

The Fed buys securities from the banks and banks in turn enter a credit on their balance sheets.

This give them the money to make more loans.

The problem with this is that by buying US Treasuries, the Fed is printing more money.

As you may recall, Bernake has pledged to spend $12.2 trillion dollars to bail out the financial sector.

From the looks of things he’s well on his way to his goal.

Is there anyone out there who is keeping track of all these expenditures.

How much of the $12.2 trillion has already been spent?

    Where is the Fed watchdog?

    We need one desperately.

    Hi Everyone,

We arrived late, but I went w/ my Mom to the AARP meeting in town today. The meeting had to be move from a smaller meeting hall into the church sanctuary because many more turned out than expected. It was a flippin’ sauna in there!

Those voicing their concerns and opinions were well informed, w/ copies of the bill in hand. It was a good thing, because the AARP rep. was, of course, denying nearly any claim to negative aspects in the bill — until folks came out w/ the ammo. She at least admitted that anyone not taking coverage would be taxed.

Reports say there were over 150 ppl who attended, but I would think it was about 2 x’s that number.

From what I could tell, the crowd was 20 to 1 opposed to the bill. If there were more in favor of the bill, then they were very very quiet while I was there.

They talked about rationing — AARP’s spin was “your healthcare is already being rationed.” Seems to me rationing was admitted to by her reaction, but I don’t understand why that justifies this bill, and how it’s the fix!

They talked about added cost to American’s (taxes) due to illegals …AARP’s spin was “your already paying for the uninsured whether you know it or not.”

Again, seems to me she admitted by her reaction that there will be higher taxes or at least it’s not going to bring any real savings, imo. So, again, I don’t understand why that justifies this bill, and how it’s the fix!

A former insurance agent spoke up and explained very carefully why private insurance won’t be able to compete w/ a public option and why that will lead to a single payer system, crisis and health care rationing. I was sooo glad to hear him lay it all down. But it’s the “BIG FIX”, eh?

I think I saw 4 news vans. If you find any vids, and you can hear someone whistling LOUDLY… that’ll be me makin’ some noise! ;c)

  89. Troy Says:

    The rats are scrambling!

  90. rosettasister Says:

Thanks for keeping us informed, Lexi.

  91. rosettasister Says:

The Fed reiterated its longstanding commitment to “employ all available tools to promote economic recovery and to preserve price stability.”

But already, some of those tools are going back into the toolbox.

The first tool to go back into the box will be the Fed’s controversial program to print new money to buy government debt.

The Fed committed back in March to spend $300 billion purchasing debt over six months.

Its stated purpose was to lower interest rates–but a central bank buying government debt can be a classic step toward hyperinflation and destroying a currency.

On Wednesday, however, the Fed confirmed its exit for the first time in its monetary policy statement.

“The Fed’s controversial program to print new money to buy government debt.”

Does this mean Fed will stop printing “new” money? That sounds good.

But will the Chinese keep lending us money? Will spending decrease? Revenues increase?

If Fed says they won’t print any “new” money, does this mean higher taxes?

This is where I get confused.

Record deficit for FY 2009. How will we finance these deficits?

Where’s James Pethokoukis when you need him?

  92. KoolAid_Free_Lexi Says:

  93. rosettasister Says:

    I did watch Berg, Lexi.

Berg told “Jacobs” to provide him with contact info.

  94. KoolAid_Free_Lexi Says:

I heard that and then Jacobs told Phil to buy his book!

He was a overbearing raspy fellow, to say the least! Mercy, I just wanted to reach through my monitor a put a muzzle on that obot filibusterer LOL! Shezz Louise!

  95. rosettasister Says:

“He was a overbearing raspy fellow, to say the least!”

I listened yesterday, and I cringe at the thought of having to listen to that voice again!

  96. rosettasister Says:

Don’t know if this is good analysis or not:

The Fed is abandoning the printing presses (presumably) because China told Geithner to stop printing money or they’d sell their US Treasuries.

It’s a wake-up call to Bernanke that the power is shifting from Washington to Beijing.

That puts Bernanke in a pickle.

If he stops printing; interest rates will skyrocket, stocks will crash and housing prices will tumble.

But if he continues QE, China will dump their Treasuries and the greenback will vanish in a poof of smoke.

Either way, the malaise in the credit markets will persist and personal consumption will continue to sputter.

  97. rosettasister Says:

Don’t get me wrong, sounds good to me if the Fed stops printing money in the basement.

But did Bernanke really have a choice?

So what I want to know is why he arrived at this decision now and what are the ramifications.

  98. ryansgrammy Says:

Sorry Troy — I thought the earlier list posted only went up to page 500 and something :0

  99. rosettasister Says:

Again, don’t know if this is good analysis:

    According to the Associated Press,

“The Federal Reserve delivered a vote of confidence in the economy Wednesday August 12th, saying it would slow the pace of an emergency rescue program as the recession appears to be ending.”

The Wall Street Fraud Watchdog says, “this is lunacy.

    We are about to see

48% of our nations homes underwater,

there will be no quick turn around in unemployment, that will in fact get worse,

there will be no Christmas for US retailers,

US manufacturing will remain in neutral, and

cash for clunkers can only go so far

before the Nancy Peloci Congress realizes they cannot print any more money, because our money is worthless.”

(Now I’m really depressed! Still we HAD to stop printing money!)

  100. rosettasister Says:

What I really want to know is what will Harry Schultz have to say about this?

    Will this change his prediction?

  101. Bones Says:

    This is pretty funny…

  102. rosettasister Says:

    Larry Kudlow

    The Fed’s Inflation Threat

The bull market snapped back today and prospects for modest economic recovery still look good.

But I want to issue a warning or two about the fed policy statement today from Bernanke and company.

I am not thrilled about it.

They’re keeping their fed funds target near zero and

they’re talking about adding another one point five trillion dollars to their balance sheet through the purchase of mortgage bonds and treasuries.

I don’t care whether those purchases come soon or later.

They represent massive new dollar creation and potential inflation.

The fed is targeting unemployment not price stability or king dollar.

    Here’s my question:

Is the fed repeating the exact same easy money mistake they made between 2002 and 2005 when they totally bubbled up and inflated housing, energy, financial markets –

all of which led to a six percent inflation…which led to a very deep recession?

Distinguished monetary historian and fed expert Alan Meltzer from Carnegie Mellon says

the fed needs to wind down the printing of excess cash and balance sheet expansion in order to stop future inflation.

(wind down balance sheet expansion — the purchase of mortgage bonds)

    He’s right.

And even if government healthcare control doesn’t pass, it’s bad enough that Uncle Sam is borrowing too much and spending too much which will slow future prosperity and bias the system toward inflation.

In the short run, excess liquidity may be good for stocks.

In the longer term, it is not good for stocks, the economy or your pocketbook.

    That’s my take.

(Kudlow doesn’t even mention that Fed says they are going to stop printing money?)

(What exactly is Kudlow saying – don’t purchase mortgage bonds?)

(What would Kudlow prefer? Targeting price stability and king dollar? How would that be accomplished?)

  103. rosettasister Says:

Wouldn’t you like to be a … Junior Mogambo Ranger (JMR), too?

    Canary in a Gold Mine

This time, because it involves a commodity, I figure that it has the added benefit that slimy insiders/bullion banks can now do all kinds of slimy arbitrage tricks by buying government gold at a (theoretically) falling market price as 400 tons a year come barreling into the market to swamp demand with a deluge of supply,

as well as leasing government gold at almost zero percent rates,

maybe somehow running it through some Exchange Traded Funds that are shorted for some reason that I don’t understand,

maybe hedging risk in the futures and options markets,

perhaps bundling together a few derivatives to “lay off risk”, and

making money, money, money with which to pay taxes, taxes, taxes,

which I figure is the whole point, from the government’s perspective.

It’s like a license to print money while driving down the market price of gold

to help disguise the inflationary horrors of, for example,

a federal government deficit of 13% of GDP! (at least)

The federal budget deficit is almost 1 out of every 8 dollars of national economic activity, and

the total amount of government spending will sure be,

when including the inevitable future Supplemental Appropriations,

    over $5 trillion this year,

which means that federal government spending – by itself! – is 35.7% of America’s $14 trillion GDP!

Now if you can get me to shut up my screaming, screaming, screaming in horror at such fiscal insanity for one lousy minute,

I will add in another $1.5 trillion for the spending by the states and another half trillion by local governments and school boards, and

    suddenly we are looking at

(ignoring double counting the federal aid to the states which is included in the state’s budgets)

a potential of $7 trillion in total governmental spending, which is HALF OF GDP!!

I am sure that you noticed the two exclamation points, the way my voice is now screeching at full volume and revolting specks of spittle are flying through the air as I stomp around the room, cursing loudly and incoherently,

that I am upset that governments now spend half of the entire economic output of the Entire Freaking Country (EFC)! (It’s worse than I thought!)

If you are a true Junior Mogambo Ranger (JMR),

your blood suddenly turned cold and a sense of doom fell upon you.

Now, imagine the horror of those who are NOT, alas, Junior Mogambo Rangers (JMRs), and

thus who probably do not buy gold, silver and oil

because they do not know that they should be doing that when their government is acting fiscally and monetarily insane!

When you do know, however, investing is easy! Whee!

(So buy gold, silver and oil?!)

    Any suggestions?

Wow, this is way over my head!

    Going outside for a swim.

Why Aren’t Americans Allowed To Know What Foreign Passports Were Issued To President Obama?

My readers often write and ask what they can do to help. I’m telling you now to focus your attention on demanding transparency as to the Commander In Chief’s prior loyalty to other nations.

Relentlessly discuss the fact that we are not allowed to know the answer to this question. If we can’t – at this time – agree on the legal meaning of natural born citizen, there’s no reason why we can’t have this question answered with certainty by our President. Those who don’t believe he has something to hide ought to support this transparency. If they too can’t get answers perhaps they will begin to have empathy for our fears. The blog heading above is the question you must ask:

I thought this morning article about Soros giving away $35 million was odd (12:35pm comment above). Lame Cherry noted it too in a recent post and seems to be tying a few things together. Best I can make of it….

LC has be saying for quite some time now that vast amounts of money have been pilfered from Americans, ending up in European banks. He suggests that it may soon be coming to light, that Soros is implicated ,and trying to buy $35 million of goodwill in anticipation.

Cherry is linking this to a recent speech by Harry Markopolos (the guy who tipped off the SEC to Bernie Madoff in 1999 but was ignored). Markopolis is exposing a credit default swap fraud that cost American investors $600 Trillion (yes, trillion with a T).

He goes on to again point out that Obama’s benefactors are behind this, they are now going after Swiss bank accounts, and do not intend to stop until the damage to America is irreversible.

LC laces the story with references to the Greeks and Italians extracting payback and the fates of the Kennedy’s.

Anyway, it is entertaining, so have a read and see what you think.

He’ll be talking to constituents and gathering feedback — this is an ideal opportunity to make sure your support for health insurance reform is seen and heard at exactly the right time.

Our congressional representatives are back home this month, and they’re facing more and more pressure from special interests on health insurance reform. It’s critical that we get out there and show them where we stand.

I hope you can join us in Durham.

What: Health Care Town Hall with
    Rep. David Price

    Where: NCCU Miller Morgan Building
    528 Nelson St
    Durham, NC 27701

    When: Thursday, August 13th
    Arrival Time: 5:45 p.m.
    Start Time: 6:45 p.m.

Our representatives are under attack by Washington insiders, insurance companies, and well-financed special interests who don’t go a day without spreading lies and stirring up fear. We need to show that we’re sick and tired of it, and that we’re ready for real change, this year.

Please come to the town hall, and make sure that the most powerful voices in this debate are those calling for real reform, not angrily clamoring for the status quo.

    1) There won’ t be any economic recovery.

    2) Absence of recovery hurts Obama in superficial ways and helps him in profound ways.

……the number one reason that America won’t recover is that Obama has no incentive to foster a real recovery:

Bill Clinton, the last Democratic president, thought in effect, “Let’s get economic growth so I can tax it and pay for all my toys and games.” That was the “New Democrat” approach. Obama knows that if the economy crumbles and he’s the only one left with a checkbook, then everyone has to come to him. Where is the independent base of entrepreneurial business to which the Republicans might to to raise money against Obama? The banks, the hedge funds, the manufacturers, the municipalities, in fact everyone who is left standing in the economy is beholden to Obama. This is Chicago city politics writ large. Leave aside all of the individual things that Obama is doing that harm economic growth: Obama is the first American president (with the possible exception of FDR) to actually benefit from economic weakness.””

Hey y’all, I found the perfect place to take my wife for a date. There was no entry fee and she found it quite entertaining. The conversation was lively and nobody got bored. The line to get in was a little long, but we ran into friends and had a good visit…..oh you want to know what/where and etc? We went to a Town Hall meeting. Got to visit with Katie and her hubby along with a few hundred other friends and neighbors. Actually, there was close to 1,000 in attendance. Congressman Mike Coffman handled the meetings in stride. After the first meeting filled the hall, he just held another one…and another one…and one more for the straglers. That’s right, no citizen left behind. I wonder how many S/Obites would do that?

It was a good meeting. Just to be fair, Coffman started out with 3 sign up sheets…one Pro HC Bill, one neutral and one against. You can guess which one I signed up for. Then when he ran out of names to call up to speak off the list, he continued to invite pros and cons in sequence. Don’t believe our Imposter in chief uses that system. There were 20 or so socialists outside the County Hall chanted and sporting signs and maybe 2 dozen or so in the 3rd meeting. Most of the rest were hard working, pro-constitution folks. Lets see, about 300 per meeting and preacher count 30 socialists. That would be 90% of the people were against socializing our Health Care System. Good comments from several articulate folks. The best part, Coffman took no cell phone calls and looked every speaker in the eyes while they spoke. He stated clearly that he was for tort reform and felt the public option would undoubtedly break the bank. He said a lot more than that, but you get the point. When I suggested that the bill was outside the scope of the constitutional authority of federal government, he smiled and nodded affirmatively. When I said the bill would degrade every citizen, he nodded affirmatively. When I said that the bill was full of invasions into the lives of citizens and remove the rights of sovereign citizens, he nodded affirmatively.

I have to admit that Katie, me and our spouses sometimes looked like Post Turtle Pelosi. Every time a speaker said something profound about there willingness to sacrifice to retain there freedom, we were up clapping. Something powerful about limiting gubmint or defending the constitution, we were on our feet applauding. I just couldn’t help thinking about the video of Pelosi leaping to her feet and clapping as fast as she could. Coffman is definitely a class act. I challenged him to stand up as a statesman…that compromise was not sufficient…that now was the time to just say NO! He was looking me earnestly straight in the eye. I actually believe he heard me.

    Awesome, Ten.

Seems to me that the #’s against are far greater than the #’s for everywhere.

    Thanks for the good report!

Patriots, Report on AARP meeting in Lakeland. Although the news reported only 150 in attendance there was well over 200 there. This meeting was very civil compared to other town halls. AARP was trying to combat the “fear mongering” that has taken place. AARP shared the same view points that Obama shared in his town hall meeting. All the while stating that they were not endorsing Obama’s healthcare plan. AARP also would endorse a single payer, government option. Patriots did let the speakers know when they didn’t agree with them, but asked informed questions with respect to the person at the podium. If someone asked a question and stated a page number for the bill the AARP State Representative would tell them that that was inaccurate information. Even though there was no riot about to happen today it was clear that Patiots outnumbered people wanting a government single payer option for healthcare. I had to leave about 30 minutes early but a fellow tea party member told me that there was a group of people who tore up their membership cards at the end of the meeting.

Media Blackout on Obama eligibility dates back to November
Douglas Hagmann & Judi McLeod, Canada Free Press & Northeast Intelligence Network Exclusive, August 4, 2009 (Most recent columns)

Do you remember Watergate? Thirty-five years ago this Sunday, U.S. President Richard M. Nixon submitted his letter of resignation for his role in the scandal. There was the crime – the break-in, and then there was the cover-up by the Nixon administration. There were threats, media manipulation and disinformation. It was the cover-up more than the crime itself in the aftermath of the Watergate break-in that led to the downfall of the Nixon administration. It was a politically critical time for our country, but we survived because of the strength of the U.S. constitution.

Now, we potentially face a new constitutional crisis stemming from the refusal of Barack Hussein Obama to produce a one-page document that would confirm his eligibility to hold the highest office in the land. Eligibility to hold office is not a “fringe” matter, but a core constitutional issue that lies at the very heart of a growing controversy.

Although we do not have the birth certificate or proof of ineligibility, the Northeast Intelligence Network and Canada Free Press have documentation of a cover-up relating to the issue of Obama’s eligibility to hold office. The proof we possess not only exposes a well orchestrated cover-up, but also provides critical insight into why the topic of Obama’s eligibility has failed to gain traction in the corporate media.

The Northeast Intelligence Network and Canada Free Press are in possession of extremely sensitive investigative documents, including a stunning written admission by a nationally known talk show host stating that he was threatened with his career – or worse – should he talk about the issue of Barack Hussein Obama’s birth records to a national audience.
This document was obtained on December 10, 2008, and provides explicit detail of a “gag order” imposed on this host before and immediately following the national election last November.

After receiving and authenticating the document, US based veteran private investigator Douglas J. Hagmann opened a full-scale investigation into the media blackout, with specific emphasis on tracing the blackout origins to those issuing them. This investigation was conducted in conjunction with Judi McLeod, founding editor of Canada Free Press and Brian Thompson, CFP Information Technology chief following a meeting near Toronto, Ontario last December. At that meeting, it was decided to keep the existence of the document secret until additional evidence could be obtained.

Today, after an extensive eight month investigation, the Northeast Intelligence Network and Canada Free Press are breaking their silence and revealing explosive information about a widespread cover-up that began at the earliest stages of the Obama presidential campaign. The cover-up traces back to some of the most powerful and influential people in the U.S. and continues today.

    Summary of the Evidence

As noted above, we are in possession of a written account by a well-known national talk show host who details how he was prohibited to discuss the controversy of Barack Hussein Obama’s eligibility as president of the United States. This signed document cites exact dates and times when he was forbidden to discuss any aspect of the birth certificate controversy, and includes direct references to the individuals responsible for such prohibitions. Further, his statement identifies the individuals who originated the orders and their positions, and confirms that failure to adhere to the order would likely end his career in that industry. He also confirms that other, less specific but more menacing threats were implied during conversations with those making the subject off limits.

Although we possess the original document containing the name and contact information of the talk show host, we have decided not to publish his name or network affiliation at this time. Based on the correspondence from this individual and respecting the nature of the threats to him personally and professionally, it is our decision to allow him to enjoy anonymity until such time as he decides to reveal the facts himself at a time of his choosing.

From multiple interviews conducted within the last eight months, we have obtained information from other sources, independent of the above, who have also been instructed to avoid any discussion of the birth certificate issue at all costs, to wit:

The account of an administrative assistant employed in New York City by a cable network news station who provided significant, detailed information of a 2008 meeting between the top network executive and four-(4) well-known news anchors. This source confirmed that she drafted the memo to the various hosts to notify them of the date, time and location of this high-level meeting at the request of the network’s top executive.

Present at this meeting, she verified that the network official issued “warnings” to the personalities

“to avoid any on-air discussion of the birth place, eligibility, and news accounts of litigation compelling [Barack Hussein] Obama to produce a legitimate copy of his birth certificate.”

She stated that the network executive had her arrange the conference immediately following a meeting

“between [the network executive] and an attorney closely associated with candidate Obama who was acting on his behalf.”

The statement of a corporate secretary for a major news network confirming the existence of a one-page inter-office memo, bearing the markings “confidential” and “not for dissemination,” addressed and distributed to news anchors and on-air talent that specifically instructed the recipients to avoid any discussion pertaining to the Obama birth certificate controversy. The memo was written and distributed in October 2008, and specifically instructed on-air talent to

“advise guests, as necessary, to refrain from citing any news story, legal proceedings, Internet ‘blogs’ or other sources that pertain to the ongoing eligibility controversy of future President Barack Obama.”

As outlined above, our Investigation has uncovered both direct and indirect evidence of threats being made against some of the nation’s top radio and television personalities, which would explain some giving this topic mere lip service. As one source interviewed during the course of this investigation stated, “I’ve got a career and family to think about.”

Although no one should be surprised over the manipulation of the news, the nature of this manipulation, and the extent of the threats against journalists, should shock even the most well-grounded.

Any reasonable person must question the motivation of the media moguls. The individuals who have – and continue to threaten talk show hosts, news anchors, and others are the top people. We are not talking about mid or upper level management – this is from the very top in all cases. If there is nothing to the birth certificate issue and the question of eligibility, why the secrecy?

Obama camp plants fake doc, Che fan at Jackson Lee forum
    by Matt Bramanti · 08/13/2009 12:05 am

I was reading the Chron’s piece about Sheila Jackson Lee’s town hall, when something caught my eye:

One supporter, Dr. Roxana Mayer, a physician who does not live in Jackson Lee’s district, praised the reform plan for overhauling a broken system.

“I don’t know what there is in the bill that creates such panic,” she said.

In this video, Mayer claims to be a general practitioner, eliciting applause and even a hug from Queen Sheila:

I’m not sure why, but something didn’t smell right. So my colleagues and I did a little digging, and wouldn’t you know it? Roxana Mayer is, like, totally not a doctor.

But she is an Obama campaign volunteer.

Our own David Jennings secured a phone interview, in which Mayer admitted to impersonating a physician, saying — get this — she thought it would help her credibility. (It didn’t.)

Now here’s where it spins off into a whole new dimension of weird. See the bug-eyed woman seated behind not-doctor Mayer?

    Look familiar?

Yes, that little ray of sunshine, who accompanied Mayer to the meeting, is none other than Maria Isabel, the unhinged moonbat who ran a Barack Obama campaign office, complete with Che Guevara flag.

Hell, she’s even wearing the exact same outfit she wore the last time we mocked her!

A word of advice to budding political operatives: when you need two plants, try to pick people smarter than actual plants.

    This isn’t brain surgery.

TopGun on August 13th, 2009 at 12:37 am The standard protocol for the Democrats, to brainwash their constituents, has not changed in 75 years. Just lie to them, be very vague with your answers while never actually answering any questions and have your bussed in Communists lie also.

The irony is, that lady claiming to be a Doctor is about the same caliber of Medical Care the government will provide the people in a Socialized Health Care System.

actingunderwater on August 13th, 2009 at 3:09 am Does anyone else get the weird feeling that no matter WHAT the issue, the Left always land on the wrong foot?

And yet, somehow it doesn’t seem to matter – they just admire the cleverness of the attempt.

El Gordo on August 13th, 2009 at 5:50 am Isn’t it interesting that the Democrats always seem to be ahead of the power curve in predicting events? Speaker Pelosi sees Nazi’s and swastikas, and viola, two days later, swastikas, Hitler photos, and Nazi uniforms start to appear. I’ll have to admit though that I’m shocked, shocked I tell you, to find that Queen Shelia, that icon of mental health, integrity, intellect, and genuine concern for our nation would stoop to such tactics – it must be something put together without her knowledge by staff, or more likely, set up to embarrass her by the evil Republicans. Nothing else makes any sense.

sargevining on August 13th, 2009 at 6:45 am There’s some folks who have begun calling Democrat Town Hall meetings “greenhouses.”

Because there”s so many plants in them.

In addition to the fake doctor at Queejn Sheila’s meeting, and the 12 year old we found out about yesterday at Obama’s, it looks like there’s was another:

I live in new Hampshire and was particularily interested in seeing how well Obama’s staged “town hall” meeting held in Portsmouth, NH, resonated with “Granite Staters”. The wife and I were watching the local news last night and of course, the lead story was the “town hall” meeting. The video clip included a woman who was identified by name and her home town. She had been invited to stand at the podium and provide a short statement as to why she supports Obamacare.

The lady stated, “I have hepatitis-C and I am UNABLE to get healthcare”. Well…that was a lie. And how do I know this? My wife, who is a nurse practitioner, happens to be her primary health care provider!! The woman is enrolled in a health care plan with Blue Cross/Blue Shield!

Of course, it would be a HIPPA violation to release this information to the press, so she…and the Obama administration…will get away with this bold faced LIE!!!!!

    “Post Turtle Pelosi” reporting in…

Last night’s Town Hall meeting was just as memorable as going to a Tea Party, and seeing democracy in action. The fact that over 1,000 people came out on a Wednesday night, stood in line to be heard, waiting for HOURS as additional meetings were added tells you the Sleeping Giant has indeed been AWAKENED. I don’t know what the odds are that out of 1,000 people split into four groups, we’d look up and see Tenacity and his lovely bride standing three feet away from us, but I’m so glad the odds were in our favor!

Tenacity is also being modest – not only did he get to say some important things to the Congressman and the audience (like “we shouldn’t even be talking about this bill – there’s no constitutional authority for anything in this bill!”), but he got a rousing applause every time he completed a sentence.

The crowd was passionate yet respectful. The only ones who weren’t were the small crowd of obots chanting outside the doors. Mindless, clueless koolaid drinkers.

If you have an opportunity to attend one (the two CO Senators Udall & Bennett are COWARDS – avoiding the main population center they are supposed to be representing!), I can only encourage you to be there to stand up for America, stand up for the Constitution, stand up for your future, and stand up for future generations.

You, too can become a “post turtle Pelosi” – 😀

    The Collins Report
Dr. Kevorkian as Obama’s Health Czar:The Final Solution To the Elderly question

    By Kevin “Coach” Collins

He’s rested. He’s tanned and he’s ready to serve as Obama’s Health Czar and answer to finding the “Final Solution To The Elderly Question.”

He’s Dr. Death himself, Jack Kevorkian.
The Baby Boomers will be far too numerous for Obama to wipe us out with individual “Special Actions” carried out by ACORN or SEIU.

Even if today’s millions of Boomers were quickly dispatched there will be millions more right behind them.

What Obama needs to do is name Jack Kevorkian the committed “assisted suicide” champion his new “Health Care” Czar.

Kevorkian’s great resume for killing old people

*His pioneering work in euthanizing the sick is unparalleled.

*He loves his work. Kevorkian has even invented his own death machine that administers his home made version of Zyklon B.

*He’s been convicted of a felony and spent 8 years in prison making him well qualified to fit into Obama’s inner circle.

*Kevorkian is a proven smooth con artist. After being denied parole he conned Michigan’s governor into releasing him by claiming he was terminally ill.

*At 81 he can con seniors by talking aches and pains and get them to take one of Obama’s “red” pills.

    * He’s the Left’s favorite uncle. He’ll take the Science Czar under his wing, and help bring Dr. Zeke Emanuel’s plans to reality.

*There’ll be no worries about Kevorkian loosing his nerve; he has 130 personal kills to his credit – the man is a pro! As one of the most prolific serial killers in American history he’ll run “Operation Grandma” with Nazi proficiency.

*At a recent speaking event “Uncle” Jack waved an American flag with swastikas for stars. Ironically he said it was intended to remind people of where America is headed if “changes are not made.”

This would be a perfect pick.

This may sound tongue in cheek, but is it really that far fetched?

HR 3200 addresses senior citizens by trying to make us feel guilty about wanting to live.

The Obamacare plan is filled with sections designed to push senior citizens toward a convenient money saving death which will make this scheme “look” like it is working.
Get the facts. Go to the list of fifty threats to our liberties from Obamacare you can download right here at the upper right end of the Collins Report tool bar.

Informed and well spoken citizens are turning the tide against this terrible bill. Be part of this army of truth.

Don’t plan on doing nothing unless you plan on being a slave to our own government.

    From the Harry Schultz Newsletter

Conclusion: Stand by for a possible bank run & bank holiday on Aug 26th, after the news breaks on the 25th. (FDIC 2nd Qtr. Report)This is in line with the HSL prediction of a US bank holiday in Aug/Sept. If you live in the US, get 3 to 6 months household expense money out of banks now.

Harry Schultz claims tha some US embassies have been told to purchase large amounts of cash in local currencies

Bob Chapman’s influential International Forecaster is reporting on the possibility of a so-called “bank holiday” planned for late August or early September. According to Chapman’s sources, U.S. embassies around the world are selling dollars and stockpiling money from respective countries where they operate.

“Some US embassies worldwide are being advised to purchase massive amounts of local currencies,” writes Harry Schultz, “enough to last them a year.”

Schultz publishes the Harry Schultz Letter, an international investment, financial, economic, and geopolitical newsletter named as “Newsletter of the Year” by Peter Brimelow of Market Watch in 2005 and 2008.

    Traders Brace For September Collapse

Bloomberg: Options traders are increasing bets that the steepest rally in the Standard & Poor’s 500 Index since the 1930s won’t survive September, historically the worst month for U.S. equities.

Traders are betting the VIX, a gauge of expected stock swings, will increase 13 percent in the next five weeks, according to futures prices compiled by Bloomberg. That’s the biggest spread since August 2008, right before the S&P 500 suffered the steepest two-month plunge in 21 years. The indexes have moved in the opposite direction 81 percent of the time over the past five years, Bloomberg data show.

Guru Warns: FDR-Style Bank Holiday Coming

    Friday, June 26, 2009

The Harry Schultz Letter, which last year predicted the “financial tsunami” that eventually washed out the American economy, now has forecasted a major shakeup in the nation’s banking system.

The Schultz letter has warned of “a confiscatory Franklin D. Roosevelt-style bank holiday” of indefinite length imposed by the Obama government to allow insiders to “sort out the bank mess.”

During the Great Depression, President Roosevelt declared a four-day bank holiday, closing all banks to stop the panicked withdrawals and to restore calm in the wake of hundreds of bank failures.

Roosevelt’s strategy worked and Congress passed the Emergency Banking Act giving the president power over bank dealings and financial transactions.

If Obama imposes a bank holiday, it could provide an opportunity for additional banking nationalization, according to the Schultz letter.

“(It could also) lead to a formal U.S. dollar devaluation, as FDR did by revaluing gold (and then confiscating it),” the letter said.

Peter Brimelow, writing for MarketWatch, said he picked the Harry Schultz Letter as Letter of the Year in 2008 for its accurate prediction of the economic calamity.

“But it’s performance in 2008 was still terrible, albeit arguably for technical reasons,” Brimelow said.

But the letter has regained its credibility this year, and so its predictions must be taken seriously.

Grassley Gets an Earful: No Government Takeover of Health Care

NRSC Still Has Key Recruiting Holes to Fill AFTON, Iowa — Peggy Erskine used a half-day of her vacation time to give Sen. Chuck Grassley (R) a piece of her mind on health care reform; and she wasn’t alone.

Erskine, a 61-year-old factory worker, was one of about 2,000 people who showed up Wednesday at one of four of Grassley’s town-hall meetings across central Iowa farm country. And like many of her counterparts, Erskine had a message for the Iowa Republican, a key health care negotiator: Stop President Barack Obama and Congressional Democrats from enacting their health care plans.

“When 9/11 happened, I was very terrified. But I honestly am more terrified now. Then, I thought my government was going to protect me, and now I’m afraid of my government. We have the car industry [being] taken over, the banks were taken over, and now I feel our health care. And I think we have — we’re leaning toward socialism, and that scares me to death,” Erskine told Grassley to enthusiastic applause from most of the 300 who packed the Methodist church in Afton, after the large turnout forced the event to move from the town’s small City Hall.

“The true root of the problem in health care reform is distrust of the United States Congress,” 66-year-old Mike Brentnall, the administrator of a medical clinic, added in an interview following the event. Afton is located in Union County, which is dominated by conservative Democrats.

In the sweltering summer heat, Iowans turned out to talk health care with Grassley, the ranking member of the Senate Finance Committee, who has worked for several months to fashion a bipartisan reform bill with the panel’s chairman, Sen. Max Baucus (D-Mont.). In four Iowa farming communities — Adel, Afton, Panora and Winterset — Grassley met overflow crowds that would make any presidential caucus candidate jealous.

The town-hall-goers, composed largely of middle-aged and elderly conservatives, were mostly civil but far from shy. Many came armed with prewritten questions and homemade signs, and most of them had plenty to say. No one left early, despite the 90-degree heat that greeted attendees at the two outdoor events in Winterset and Adel, and the sauna-like conditions at the indoor gatherings in Afton and Panora.

“I believe nationalized medicine is actually another tax,” said one of the nearly 1,000 who participated in Grassley’s town-hall meeting in the Dallas County community of Adel. That event was moved from the public library to a park to accommodate the large crowd. Dallas County is among the fast-growing Republican regions in the state and among the top 10 counties for GOP growth in the nation.

“Balance the Budget; No-Bama Care,” read a sign held by one person in Panora, where almost 500 filled the town community center. Panora is located in Guthrie County, a Republican-leaning area with a solid share of conservative Democrats.

Grassley’s back-to-back town halls didn’t lack drama, but none featured the violent outbursts or physical altercations that some Members have experienced this recess. The town halls have served as ground zero for a frustrated electorate, and questions have arisen over whether — and to what degree — the forum’s participants are organized by Obama opponents.

For Grassley, who is up for re-election in 2010, the applause lines were consistent throughout all four of Wednesday’s events.

When Grassley said he was opposed to a public insurance option; when he vowed to vote against a health care bill cleared by the Senate Health, Education, Labor and Pensions Committee on a party-line vote; when he promised to oppose legislation supported by House Democratic leaders; when he said he won’t support any Senate Finance Committee compromise that expands Washington’s reach; and when he pushed for tort reform, the cheers were almost deafening.

Iowa’s senior Senator is no stranger to town-hall meetings. Grassley visits all 99 Hawkeye State counties every year; he estimated that after Wednesday’s events he’d held 2,846 such forums since he was first elected to the Senate in 1980. But Grassley was nevertheless a little surprised by the reaction he received from constituents at Wednesday’s gatherings.

“There’s more unanimity of opinion against doing anything, than what I thought. And, the intensity is greater than I expected,” Grassley said during a brief interview with Roll Call.

Grassley has a long history of bipartisanship, both as a member of the majority and the minority, and his record of political compromise is one he is fond of touting. He and Baucus have sided together numerous times on legislation, sometimes meeting the ire of their own parties.

But in Grassley’s opening statements at the four town-hall meetings and in comments during the ensuing question-and-answer sessions, he made clear where he stood.

“I’m not going to do anything that’s going to nationalize health care in America,” Grassley said in Afton.

A few dissenting voices were heard Wednesday.

In Adel, an elderly man wearing an Obama baseball cap, who said he supports the president but has also donated to and voted for Grassley in past elections, asked the Senator to reconsider his opposition to the public insurance option, as did some others at the each of the town halls. In Panora, a self-described Democrat asked Grassley to dispel Republican misinformation about the Democrats’ health care proposals.

In Afton, a complaint about excessive insurance company profits and high premiums received a healthy applause.

In Winterset, a community in Republican-leaning Madison County, Kate Bason carried a two-sided, homemade sign that read “Public Option; Reform Now.” The 50-something environmental inspector said in an interview that Grassley isn’t the straight-talking Senator she remembers from years past.

During the town hall Bason attended, she did her best to rebut concerns of the mostly conservative audience about the “government takeover” of the health care system — a worry that many expressed that day.

“I’d like to hear the truth,” Bason said before the Winterset town hall. “I’d like to know how [Grassley] thinks that health care for profit can ever work — the motive is wrong. I’d like him to explain that. And I would certainly like to hear why he keeps pushing the Republican agenda that this is all about the government taking over everybody’s rights. It’s absurd. I’d like to hear him explain why he’s reading the Republican memos instead of being the straight thinker that he’s always been.”

There IS a Republican Health Care Plan-The Media Chooses to Ignore it

It is the new version of the school yard line “OH YEAH !” Whenever a Republican Pundit criticizes the Obamacare plan, there is usually a democrat there to answer, “you guys just want to stop any health care reform. Where is your plan?”
Two weeks ago the Republicans introduced a plan. Short for a congressional bill (only 268 pages). this plan reforms health care by giving the patient more control. While not perfect this bill (the full text can be read here) grants access to affordable, quality health care for all Americans mostly through marketplace incentives. It addresses four main principals without a government take over of the Health Care system:

#1: Access to Coverage for All Americans
The Empowering Patients First Act makes the purchase of health care financially feasible for all Americans, covers pre-existing conditions, protects employer-sponsored insurance, and shines light on existing health care plans.
#2: Coverage is Truly Owned by the Patient

This legislation grants greater choice and portability to the patient, and also gives employers more flexibility in the benefits offered. It also expands the individual market by creating several pooling mechanisms.
#3: Improve the Health Care Delivery Structure

Physicians know the best care for their patient. That’s why this legislation establishes doctor-led quality measures, ensuring that you get the quality care you need. It also reimburses physicians to ensure the stability of your care, and encourages healthier lifestyles by allowing employers to offer discounts for healthy habits through wellness and prevention programs.
    #4: Rein in Out-of-Control Costs

A key concern in positive reform is reining in out-of control costs. This legislation does this by reforming the medical liability system. Also, the cost of the plan is completely offset through decreasing defensive medicine, savings from health care efficiencies, sifting out waste, fraud and abuse, plus an annual one-percent non defense discretionary spending step down.
Details of the Republican Plan include:

A Solution from the Republican Study Committee for Access to Affordable, Quality Health Care for All Americans

    1) Make the Purchase of Health Care Financially Feasible Using a Hybrid Tax Structure

Extends the income tax deduction on health care premiums to those who purchase coverage in the nongroup/individual market (above the line deduction)
Deduction is capped to allow for a deduction up to the average value of the national health exclusion for Employer Sponsored Insurance (family/ singles) grown at inflation
Provides low-income tax credit for premiums on a sliding scale phased out based on income
Credit based on average health care insurance costs across the U.S.
    Credit offered is $2,000 individual/$4,000 joint/$5,000 family
Full credit for individuals and families up to 200% FPL
Phased out credit from 200%-300% FPL
Allows individuals the choice to opt out of Federal benefits (including Medicare with the ability to retain SS benefits), FEHBP and employer subsidized group health plan and instead receive the credit to buy private health insurance
Limitations on federal funds being used for abortion funding
Must be a legal permanent resident or citizen of the United States
    2) Protect Employer Sponsored Insurance

Allows for an employer to auto-enroll employees with an opt-out
Small business tax incentives for adoption
Requires employers to disclose on the W2 Form the annual amount the employer spends on the employee’s premium
    3) Portability and Choice

Gives patients the power to own and control their health care plan
Allows for a defined contribution and gives employers more flexibility in benefits

    4) Improvements in the Individual Market

    Pooling Mechanisms:
Small Business Health Fairness – AHPs (H.R. 2607 – Johnson)
    Individual Membership Accounts (H.R. 3218 – Shadegg)
Allows individuals to shop for insurance across state lines (H.R. 3217 – Shadegg)
Trigger: An individual in a state may only shop across state lines if one’s state premium exceeds10% above the national average, starting no sooner than two years after date of enactment

    5) Ensuring Coverage for Those with Pre-Existing Conditions or High Health Care Needs

    High Risk Pool/Reinsurance Pools
Increased Federal block grant for functioning, qualified pools
Incentives: states will not receive credits unless they establish a pool

    6) Medical Liability Reform

    Caps on non-economic damages (H.R.1086 – Gingrey)
    Health Courts
Affirmative defense through provider established best practice measures
No presumption of negligence if a participating physician does not adhere to the guidelines

    7) Reforming Medicare Physician Payments

Rebates SGR and establishes two separate conversion factors (baskets), one for primary care and one for all other services
Removes physician administered drugs from the formula
    8) Incentives for Providers

    Primary care physicians:
Help with loan repayment up to $50,000 after 5 years of practice
    All physicians:
Creates a new Health Professional Student Loan (HPSL) program for medical schools with deferment of payments until after full residency and any fellowship training program
    ER physicians:
Allows for a deduction for uncompensated care

    9) Quality

    Comparative Effectiveness Research Program Improvements
Nothing the Federal Coordinating Council for Comparative Effectiveness Research (FCCCER) suggests can be finalized unless done in consultation with and approved by medical specialty societies
HHS/CMS cannot base coverage decisions or deny care based on FCCCER data
Establishment of performance-based quality measures endorsed by the Physician Consortium for Performance Improvement (PCPI) and physician specialty organization
Ensures the definition of quality is not ceded to the government

    10) Safety-Net Reforms

States must cover 90% of SCHIP eligible individuals below 200% FPL first before they can expand current eligibility levels (H.R.3176 – Barton/Deal)
    Medicaid/SCHIP voucher to purchase private insurance (H.R.3176 – Barton/Deal)
Unspent money refunded based in state/federal share unless enrollee in an HSA
Requires States to now include pathways for premium assistance for employer sponsored insurance as part of the State plan (H.R.3176 – Barton/Deal)
Incentivizes providers to work in Community Health Centers and emergency areas
Cover “volunteer” practitioners in community health centers and in emergency areas under the Federal Tort Claims Act (FTCA) to promote “Good Samaritan” care

    11) Transparency and Insurance Reform Measures

Requirements for insurance receipt and response to requests for claim information under certain group plans to enable employers to make better coverage and cost determination for employees
Health Plan and Provider Portal Website
Provides information on plans and providers rather than acting as a purchasing mechanism
Federal government’s role: standardize forms / information / metrics
Additional measures to be included as determined by the Secretary and appropriate stakeholders (risk adjusted outcomes, satisfaction)
Federal incentives for uptake and implementation

    12) Wellness and Prevention

Self responsibility – allow for employers to offer discounts for healthy habits
HSA clarification for the treatment of capitated primary care payments as amounts paid for medical care (H.R. 2520 – Ryan)

    13) Offsets

Savings from health care efficiencies and coverage
Reduce DSH Medicare and Medicaid payments in response to coverage expansion
Waste, fraud, and abuse (fund OIG, Health Care Fraud and Abuse Control Program (HCFAC),

strengthen Medicare provider enrollment standards and safeguards, etc.)
    Reinstate the Medicare Trigger
SCHIP / Medicaid (voucher / recapture of excess funds)
Medical liability reform – reduce defensive medicine
    Interstate shopping

    • Enforces discretionary spending limits
    • Repeals unspent stimulus funding

Democratic Socialists of Congress: Meet the Members

Even Liberals are Waking up to this Reality!

Its common knowledge that Americans are showing up at congressional town hall meetings across the country today, and are on the verge of turning them into public lynching of their overtly arrogant legislative tyrants.

What’s NOT common knowledge is that many of these citizens are Democrats. DSA secular socialists in government and the press are working around the clock to paint all patriotic dissent as some act of “extremism” or “organized mob thuggery” and when all else fails, “racism.”

    – “who would have thought that the sober, deliberative Barack Obama would have nothing to propose but vague and slippery promises—or that he would so easily cede the leadership clout of the executive branch to a chaotic, rapacious, solipsistic Congress? House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, whom I used to admire for her smooth aplomb under pressure, has clearly gone off the deep end with her bizarre rants about legitimate town-hall protests by American citizens. She is doing grievous damage to the party and should immediately step down.”

This sounds like something I would write, not to mention a lot like what thousands of citizens are trying to tell legislators at town hall meetings across the country. But this was written by liberal Obama supporter Camille Paglia in her opinion piece titled Obama’s healthcare horror.

    Palin TOTALLY Debunks Obama

Sarah Palin responded to the left’s mass attacks on her claim that end of life care would have to be managed, and that the govt will be deciding how much coverage to give people. Mr Obama has been using straw-man arguments claiming that ’some want things to stay the same,’ but in all his arguments and all his claims about healthcare….he never cites the sections, never quotes the bill, and expects anyone who questions it to do exactly that. The Democrats’ members of Congress aren’t expected to read the bill (anyone thing Ted Kennedy to Robert Byrd are gonna read it?). Supporters of the bill aren’t expected to read it, but anyone who does have concerns is expected to cite it chapter and verse. Here, Sarah Palin does just that.

Will Mr Obama respond w full quotes and citations?
Will he even read the bill?
Will he just try the general rhetoric road that continues to fail in stopping the loss of support for the Democrats’ plan?

Yesterday President Obama responded to my statement that Democratic health care proposals would lead to rationed care; that the sick, the elderly, and the disabled would suffer the most under such rationing; and that under such a system these “unproductive” members of society could face the prospect of government bureaucrats determining whether they deserve health care.

The President made light of these concerns. He said:

“Let me just be specific about some things that I’ve been hearing lately that we just need to dispose of here. The rumor that’s been circulating a lot lately is this idea that somehow the House of Representatives voted for death panels that will basically pull the plug on grandma because we’ve decided that we don’t, it’s too expensive to let her live anymore….It turns out that I guess this arose out of a provision in one of the House bills that allowed Medicare to reimburse people for consultations about end-of-life care, setting up living wills, the availability of hospice, etc. So the intention of the members of Congress was to give people more information so that they could handle issues of end-of-life care when they’re ready on their own terms. It wasn’t forcing anybody to do anything.” [1]

The provision that President Obama refers to is Section 1233 of HR 3200, entitled “Advance Care Planning Consultation.” [2] With all due respect, it’s misleading for the President to describe this section as an entirely voluntary provision that simply increases the information offered to Medicare recipients. The issue is the context in which that information is provided and the coercive effect these consultations will have in that context.

Section 1233 authorizes advanced care planning consultations for senior citizens on Medicare every five years, and more often “if there is a significant change in the health condition of the individual … or upon admission to a skilled nursing facility, a long-term care facility… or a hospice program.” [3] During those consultations, practitioners must explain “the continuum of end-of-life services and supports available, including palliative care and hospice,” and the government benefits available to pay for such services. [4]

Now put this in context. These consultations are authorized whenever a Medicare recipient’s health changes significantly or when they enter a nursing home, and they are part of a bill whose stated purpose is “to reduce the growth in health care spending.” [5] Is it any wonder that senior citizens might view such consultations as attempts to convince them to help reduce health care costs by accepting minimal end-of-life care? As Charles Lane notes in the Washington Post, Section 1233 “addresses compassionate goals in disconcerting proximity to fiscal ones…. If it’s all about alleviating suffering, emotional or physical, what’s it doing in a measure to “bend the curve” on health-care costs?” [6]

    As Lane also points out:

Though not mandatory, as some on the right have claimed, the consultations envisioned in Section 1233 aren’t quite “purely voluntary,” as Rep. Sander M. Levin (D-Mich.) asserts. To me, “purely voluntary” means “not unless the patient requests one.” Section 1233, however, lets doctors initiate the chat and gives them an incentive — money — to do so. Indeed, that’s an incentive to insist.

Patients may refuse without penalty, but many will bow to white-coated authority. Once they’re in the meeting, the bill does permit “formulation” of a plug-pulling order right then and there. So when Rep. Earl Blumenauer (D-Ore.) denies that Section 1233 would “place senior citizens in situations where they feel pressured to sign end-of-life directives that they would not otherwise sign,” I don’t think he’s being realistic. [7]

Even columnist Eugene Robinson, a self-described “true believer” who “will almost certainly support” “whatever reform package finally emerges”, agrees that “If the government says it has to control health-care costs and then offers to pay doctors to give advice about hospice care, citizens are not delusional to conclude that the goal is to reduce end-of-life spending.” [8]

So are these usually friendly pundits wrong? Is this all just a “rumor” to be “disposed of”, as President Obama says? Not according to Democratic New York State Senator Ruben Diaz, Chairman of the New York State Senate Aging Committee, who writes:

Section 1233 of House Resolution 3200 puts our senior citizens on a slippery slope and may diminish respect for the inherent dignity of each of their lives…. It is egregious to consider that any senior citizen … should be placed in a situation where he or she would feel pressured to save the government money by dying a little sooner than he or she otherwise would, be required to be counseled about the supposed benefits of killing oneself, or be encouraged to sign any end of life directives that they would not otherwise sign. [9]

Of course, it’s not just this one provision that presents a problem. My original comments concerned statements made by Dr. Ezekiel Emanuel, a health policy advisor to President Obama and the brother of the President’s chief of staff. Dr. Emanuel has written that some medical services should not be guaranteed to those “who are irreversibly prevented from being or becoming participating citizens….An obvious example is not guaranteeing health services to patients with dementia.” [10] Dr. Emanuel has also advocated basing medical decisions on a system which “produces a priority curve on which individuals aged between roughly 15 and 40 years get the most chance, whereas the youngest and oldest people get chances that are attenuated.” [11]

President Obama can try to gloss over the effects of government authorized end-of-life consultations, but the views of one of his top health care advisors are clear enough. It’s all just more evidence that the Democratic legislative proposals will lead to health care rationing, and more evidence that the top-down plans of government bureaucrats will never result in real health care reform.

CBO Tells Congress That Should Obamacare “Work”, It’ll Drive Up Costs

Now, lest anyone think either Elmendorf or I am knocking preventative care, we are not.

Elmendorf notes that, “just because a preventive service adds to total spending does not mean that it is a bad investment. Experts have concluded that a large fraction of preventive care adds to spending but should be deemed ‘cost-effective.’

    He’s right.

There’s just one problem that Elmendorf alludes to. The CBO cannot really score the run up in costs of preventative care under H.R. 3200, the Democrats’ healthcare legislation.

Assuming Obamacare is successful at increasing preventative care, the program will escalate costs. Then, also as Elmendorf alludes to, the government is going to have to decide who gets preventative care and who does not, if they want to contain costs.

In other words, we will get escalated unknown costs or we will get rationing, but most likely we will get both.

It may also cause some in uniform to rethink following some dumb ass order to try to jack with sovereign citizens in any way. Showing force and using it are 2 different things. I personally believe the former is the most effective way of avoiding the latter. Humans and bears have one thing in common, something like 90% of all bear attacks occur when only 1 person is present and around 2% or less occur when there are 3 or more people present. If the criminals in D.C. see that there is a critical mass of people unwilling to lay down for their theft of this republic, then we may be able to avoid the violence they seem to want to force upon us. And from that standpoint, you have every right to fear. You shouldn’t have counseling at the end of life. You ought to have counseling 20 years before you’re going to die.

You ought to plan these things out. And I don’t have any problem with things like living wills. But they ought to be done within the family.

    Assessing quantitative easing

Politics stops the Fed from expanding an asset-purchase scheme

In March the Fed announced plans to purchase $300 billion of Treasury debt by September with newly printed money (to be more precise, electronic money in the form of bank reserves) and to more than double planned purchases of mortgage-related debt to $1.45 trillion.

The $300 billion in Treasury purchases, in particular, were widely assumed to be the start of a much more substantive plan.

Yet the Fed’s latest policy meeting wrapped up on August 12th without any plans to expand either scheme, although it did move the completion date for Treasury purchases back to the end of October and

*** kept the option of boosting purchases later. ***

Lots of factors are at play.

Expected inflation (as implied by the gap between conventional and inflation-indexed bond yields) has risen.

The fear of global meltdown that drove investors to the safety of governments bonds has ebbed.

Why is the Fed not expanding them?

The outlook has improved, for one thing: America’s economy is levelling out, it noted on August 12th.

But the main reason is political, not economic.

The Fed’s Treasury-purchase plan prompted charges that it was inviting hyperinflation and had subordinated itself to the government’s deficit needs.

Alan Greenspan, a former Fed chairman, says inflation will exceed 10% if the Fed fails to shrink its balance-sheet and raise rates, and 3% for a time even if it does.

Many officials have concluded that, for now, the benefits of buying more Treasuries do not outweigh the costs of a damaging rise in inflation expectations and a perceived loss of independence.

Congressman: Obama Could Use Pandemic To Declare Martial Law

    by DefendUSx August 13, 2009 11:59

Georgia Congressman Paul Broun warned attendees of a town hall event Tuesday that the Obama administration was planning to use a pandemic or a natural disaster to implement martial law in the United States.

Speaking at the North Georgia Technical College auditorium, Broun said that the “socialistic elite,” as well as Obama, Nancy Pelosi and Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, were planning to exploit a crisis to create a favorable climate for their stalling political agenda.

“They’re trying to develop an environment where they can take over,” he said. “We’ve seen that historically.”

Broun’s warning arrives on the back of a letter sent by The National Governors Association to the Pentagon last week, which condemns the military’s plans to usurp domestic control of National Guard and federal forces deployed in the event of a natural disaster or terrorist attack.

In December 2008 it was announced that at least 20,000 more active duty soldiers will be placed inside the United States under Northcom to “help state and local officials respond to a nuclear terrorist attack or other domestic catastrophe.”

It gets contentious at about the one minute mark……OBVIOUSLY, The concern is ARE THESE E-mails BEING SENT FROM THE SNITCH LIST?

Absolutely disgusting. One positive thing about this is, Billo is FINALLY getting SICK of the way the WH treats FOX and it;s viewers and is SPEAKING UP about it. (I can’t stand him most of the time but I can’t stop watching him, either. I hate it) This will not sit well with him, as Major Garret is (deservedly) well respected as a reporter.
Does the WH really want to declare “War” with FOX NEWS?
I look forward to the fallout from this.

Troy, I listened to a panel of docs, homeopaths, etc. on this very subject that you posted above on George Noory’s Show last week. I was in TEARS by the end. It was devastating.
The numbers are astounding, comparatively. What I mean is, each year 35,000 people die in the U.S. from the “flu” and just over 300 have died so far from H1N1 and the WHO is talking and planting pandemic-to GAIN CONTROL. I know you know this, but it bears repeating for others. This will be the CRISIS to begin the downfall……….(?) Along with the financial. ugh.

    It KILLS, literally. And mames.(?SP)

i like my pediatrician, but at their office when they asked if my girls were up to date on their vaccines (during a sports physical), that vaccine was rattled off along with the “required” ones to be in school (td booster). i said “hell no” that vaccine kills and hasn’t been properly tested.j

i hate their commercials. clapping and a thumping beat. i told my kids how that can avoid VD, stay away from sex.

Agree with you IGU about hpv, it’s bad news. I’ve taken the next step, and no one in my family will be getting ANY more vaccines. They’re all worse for people than the illnesses they supposedly protect us from. This is new for me though, so I’m gonna have to fight with the school (parochial) about our youngest entering K and not being ‘current’.

in AZ, they try very heavy handedly to force your kids to get vaccinations.

and it’s not just kids. anyone born after 59 who had the live virus (measles/mumps) anyway, which ever vaccine i and lots of others had a vaccine that i guess they say was ineffective, so if you go to college, or apply to a school district as a teacher, they won’t let you apply until you get another shot.

when i was in graduate school and ASU tried to force me to get a new shot i protested and argued, finally i told them that i was catholic, married and practicing natural family planning which then if i were to be with child, this vaccine could cause birth defects. that was the only thing that i said that made them back down.

i was exposed to measles and if i had it as a kid, it was mild.

my oldest had very bad reactions to the dpt vaccine. i later learned that his high fever (that i had reported to the dr. and was waived off) was probably encephilitis caused by the vaccine.

after i learned that, unfortunately after 3 shots, i insisted that he get a different kind of shot for his next booster.

  197. Troy Says:

Here is a question for everyone…The healthcare industry represents 1/6th of the total U.S. economy….After the Gov taking over General Motors and most of the banking industry, do you think it’s a good idea for the Gov to take over one sixth of the entire economy through healthcare?…Do you think there could possibly be a hidden agenda there?….If you were one of approximately 40 million illegal aliens in this country and you are given blanket amnesty and free healthcare, paid for by us, by a Democrat Administration and president, then when it comes time to vote who will you be voting for?….Would you and your 40 million buddies be voting for a democrat or a republican?….Do you think that the lib dems actually give a rat’s ass about illegal aliens or do you think they see the opportunity for 40 million new votes to secure their power forever and from now on?

  198. igaveup Says:

    new Rat votes

those same illegal aliens won’t get the penalty for not having insurance as you or i would, penalty of 2.9 percent of your income.

this and amnesty completely violates the Equal Protection Clause.

you can’t exempt an entire class of people from prosecution while enforcing the laws on others.

zip, zero, nada was done. my son was very vocal in class. in fact, this teacher didn’t say anthing when my son was called a racist for his conservative views (by another student).

the very last straw was when he was attacked at school outside this teacher’s classroom and when a knife was pulled on him, on the bus and he had to call 911 when the BUS DRIVER WOULDN’T.
