Planned Parenthood accused of ‘defying’ court decision
Compliance with informed consent statute questioned

The Planned Parenthood abortionists in South Dakota have been accused of “defying” a ruling from the 8th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals that found constitutional a state requirement for informed consent.

In a letter to the state, a copy of which was obtained by WND, a number of “intervenors” in a lawsuit by Planned Parenthood against South Dakota over the law express alarm that even a full year after the appellate court issued its ruling, the company apparently remains in deliberate violation.

“Planned Parenthood lost, our side won and yet Planned Parenthood defies the decision of the en banc panel of the U.S. Court of Appeals,” the letter, obtained by WND from a source with links to the case, said.

The Cassidy Law Firm that represented the interveners said it could not comment or provide information on the situation, and the office of the state attorney general did not provide a response to WND inquiries about the company’s compliance.

Doneen Hollingsworth, the secretary of health for the state, told WND in a statement the agency “is required to inspect abortion facilities and enforce applicable laws and regulations. In order to ensure compliance with the law, the department met with Planned Parenthood representatives on July 30th regarding findings from its most recent inspection.

    (Story continues below)

“The department can not discuss specifics of those compliance issues at this stage in the regulatory process. The Department of Health does and will continue to enforce this and other laws,” the statement said.

WND contacted Planned Parenthood, where Media Relations Director Kathy Di Nicola said, “I can tell we are in compliance with the law in South Dakota.”

WND reported a year ago, in July 2008, when the appellate judges ruled constitutional the state’s law that requires abortionists to inform women – before an abortion – that the procedure “will terminate the life of a whole, separate, unique, living human being.”

The letter, dated just days ago, said, “The statute expressly states that the physician’s disclosure statement must include the disclosure ‘that the abortion will terminate the life of a whole, separate, unique, living human being.’ The term ‘human being’ is defined by S.D.C.L. 34-23A-1(4) in the biological sense.”

Also, the letter said, “The Disclosure Form created by the South Dakota Department of Health, as it relates to the Human Being Disclosure, accurately reflects the command of the Statute, and is the only wording of the disclosure which would properly comply. Your language is correct as written: ‘1-b) The abortion will terminate the life of a whole, separate, unique, living human being; the term ‘Human Being’ means, for the purpose of this and following disclosures, ‘an individual living member of the species Homo sapiens during its embryonic and fetal ages.'”

It continued, “The en banc panel of the U.S. Court of Appeals held that this disclosure as written was constitutional. Planned Parenthood v. Rounds, 530 F.3d 724 (8th Cir. 2008) (en banc). If Planned Parenthood does not use the language drafted by the Department of Health, it is not in compliance with the statute,” the letter said.

“The language used by Planned Parenthood does not comply: ‘South Dakota requires that you be informed that, as a matter of biology, the abortion will terminate a developing, living organism (an ’embryo’ or ‘fetus’) of the human species (‘Homo sapiens’) that, in the absence of abnormality, has a complete, separate genetic makeup that is unique to that embryo or fetus,'” the letter said.

“The statute requires a straight forward statement that is easily understood by a lay person, that the abortion terminates the life of a human being. The precise language was carefully selected by the legislature. The language used by Planned Parenthood not only fails to use the clear and proper language, but Planned Parenthood’s language is inaccurate, incomplete, misleading and very confusing,” the letter said.

The South Dakota law is far more strict that other regulatory provisions sometimes are. It allows a woman who alleges she was not provided with the proper informed consent to sue for damages, it allows a prosecutor to pursue criminal charges against a physician who fails to provide the proper informed consent and it allows the state to investigate and act against the license of any facility where the requirements for such informed consent are not met.

Specifically, the law requires abortionists to explain to women that:

    The abortion will terminate the life of a whole, separate, unique, living human being;

    The pregnant woman has an existing relationship with that unborn human being and that the relationship enjoys protection under the United States Constitution and under the laws of South Dakota;

    That by having an abortion, her existing relationship and her existing constitutional rights with regards to that relationship will be terminated;

A description of all known medical risks of the procedure including depression and related psychological stress and increased risk of suicide
The 8th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals opened the way for the application of the law by lifting an injunction that had stopped its implementation.

It was a 7-4 ruling that lifted the injunction against the South Dakota informed consent abortion law. Attorneys representing the Alliance Defense Fund filed a friend-of-the-court brief on behalf of the Family Research Council in defense of the law.

“A woman’s life is worth more than Planned Parenthood’s bottom line,” said ADF Senior Counsel Jordan Lorence in a statement at the time. “Anyone truly concerned about the interests of women supports making sure they have access to all the information necessary to make a fully informed decision. Planned Parenthood, on the other hand, has argued adamantly to restrict the information women have about the lives of their pre-born babies.”

The appellate court said U.S. Supreme Court rulings allow a state to “use its regulatory authority to require a physician to provide truthful, non-misleading information relevant to a patient’s decision to have an abortion, even if that information might also encourage the patient to choose childbirth over abortion.”

According to a related letter from the South Dakota Department of Health, also obtained by WND, as recently as May 1, 2009, Planned Parenthood in Sioux Falls was advised its forms “do not meet the legal requirements of SDCL 34-23A-10.1 in several significant areas, therefore we cannot approve the forms at this time.”

On one of the proposed forms from Planned Parenthood, the nation’s abortion industry leader said, “The State of South Dakota has enacted a law that requires Planned Parenthood also to provide the following information to you. Planned Parenthood believes this information is, in some instances, wrong and/or misleading. Planned Parenthood objects to having to provide this information.”

Then it states three points that, “as a matter of biology, the abortion will terminate a developing, living organism,” that the U.S. Constitution protects “your ‘relationship’ with the embryo,” and that “suicide and thoughts of suicide are ‘known medical risks.'”

The form at that point also added the editorial commentary from Planned Parenthood: “Planned Parenthood wants to be sure that you understand that the U.S. Constitution protects your decision about the nature of any ‘relationship,’ and your decision whether to continue this pregnancy to term or to terminate the pregnancy. These are your decisions to make, and no one can coerce you into make one choice or the other.”

Further, it flatly states the reference to thoughts of suicide as a known medical risk “is wrong and/or misleading.”

The interveners, several physicians and pregnancy centers, were alarmed because of the revelation during a July 12 court hearing that the state Department of Health was planning today’s meeting with Planned Parenthood.

It is in that interest they sought the letter, which continued, “Planned Parenthood’s disclosure forms fail to comply with the statute in many ways, and it is clear that if the statute is not properly enforced, the interests of the pregnant women it was intended to protect will suffer significantly.

“Perhaps the most egregious aspect of Planned Parenthood’s disclosure form is the ‘disassociation’ language employed. The presence of the disassociation language violates the act. It is criminal as written. By telling women that the disclosures are made only because Planned Parenthood is required to make them, but that they are false, violates the law. The law requires disclosure of accurate scientific and medical facts. By denying the truth of those facts, Planned Parenthood is refusing to make the disclosures.”

“The intervenors feel it is essential to preserve the rights and interests of pregnant women who consult with Planned Parenthood, and that the law be strictly enforced. It is now obvious that Planned Parenthood will not make proper disclosures even when the law requires them to do so. Even after they lost their argument in court, they defied the law and the decisions of the U.S. Court of Appeals,” the letter said.

The appellate ruling found the U.S. Supreme Court allows a state to “use its regulatory authority to require a physician to provide truthful, non-misleading information relevant to a patient’s decision to have an abortion, even if that information might also encourage the patient to choose childbirth over abortion.”

Some are taking Harry Schultz prediction seriously

Newsletter: US Embassies Are Advised to Buy Enough Local Currency for 1 Year

This rumour could become TNT for the USA. Newsletter publisher Harry Schultz who correctly forecast the 2008 stock tsunami and outperformed the market more or less as long as he invests, comes up with truly hot stuff.

In its current issue the Harry Schultz Letter (HSL) (via Marketwatch, HT John Trudgian) reports rumors that

“Some U.S. embassies worldwide are being advised to purchase massive amounts of local currencies; enough to last them a year. Some embassies are being sent enormous amounts of U.S. cash to purchase currencies from those governments, quietly. But not pound sterling. Inside the State Dept., there is a sense of sadness and foreboding that ‘something’ is about to happen … within 180 days, but could be 120-150 days.”

His apocalyptic projections don’t end there:

“Another FDR-style ‘bank holiday’ of indefinite length, perhaps soon, to let the insiders sort out the bank mess, which (despite their rosy propaganda campaign) is getting more out of their control every day. Insiders want to impose new bank rules. Widespread nationalization could result, already underway. It could also lead to a formal U.S. dollar devaluation, as FDR did by revaluing gold (and then confiscating it).”

This is one more rumor adding to my suspicions something big is going to happen. An imperium in decline will play all dirty tricks in order to stay afloat. There are no green shoots to be seen for several years, as explained in my 600+ earlier posts. We are in for a K-winter (Kondratieff).

Was the swine flu just a test run for a deadlier pandemic?

Or will the US default by waging WW3?

Section 25C of the Federal Reserve Act (adapted in 1994) explicitly says that the USA does not have to repay debts to a country if the two countries are engaged in a war.

Tamiflu does have side effects, admits top doctor, as children suffer nightmares and nauseaBy Daniel Martin
Last updated at 12:04 PM on 31st July 2009
Comments (61) Add to My Stories
Common side effects for children who take Tamiflu include nausea and sleeping difficultie

The government’s chief medical officer Sir Liam Donaldson has said Tamiflu should still be given to children, despite more than half of young recipients who take the drug suffering side effects such as nausea and nightmares.

The drug being used to fight swine flu can also produce stomach pain, diarrhoea and sleeping problems.

Researchers in two studies reported that many children found concentration difficult after taking the drug – which could affect their performance in school tests and exams.

The findings will cause deep concern among parents and raise the question of whether the powerful anti-viral should be handed out so widely when the vast majority of swine flu cases involve only a mild illness.

Sir Liam BBC Radio 4’s Today programme: ‘All drugs do have side-effects. It is always a case of deciding the balance between benefiting a patient from a treatment and the side-effects.

‘Most of the side-effects are relatively minor – a degree of nausea, a bit of a tummy upset, the sort of thing you get quite often with antibiotics.’

He added: ‘If we look at the rate of admissions to hospital, it has been the under-fives who have had a very much higher rate of hospitalisation.

‘It isn’t common but when it does happen, it can happen amongst the youngest age groups.’

GPs are reporting increasing cases of suspected Tamiflu side effects. One told Pulse magazine: ‘It’s not the innocuous drug the public seem to think it is.’

The Department of Health said last night: ‘The EU regulatory position remains that no causal association between Tamiflu (or Relenza) and an increase in neuropsychiatric events has been established.’

Roche, the Swiss company which makes Tamiflu, issued a similar statement.

Some 150,000 Tamiflu packs were distributed by the new National Pandemic Flu Service between Friday and Sunday alone – despite warnings from some experts that this could increase the resistance of the virus.
The phone and internet service lets people obtain Tamiflu without a positive diagnosis of swine flu from a doctor.
The alarming studies of pupils in four schools emerged as chief medical officer Sir Liam Donaldson announced another 110,000 new cases of swine flu last week – up only slightly from 100,000 the week before.

He also revealed that almost half those who have died with the disease in England had no previous serious health conditions.
The new studies will increase concern over the potential side effects of Tamiflu – liver
failure is one of those listed on the box.

Some 150 suspected adverse reactions, including one unexplained death, have been reported to safety watchdogs.

The Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency says 59 of the victims are under 14.

More…British public schoolgirl fights for life after contracting swine flu on holiday in Greece

It also emerged yesterday that Japan has advised its GPs not to give the drug to youngsters between 10 and 19 because of high rates of ‘ neuropsychiatric side effects’ such as feeling confused and having bad dreams.

The studies by Health Protection Agency experts were carried out in the early stages of the epidemic, when everyone sharing a classroom with a child who developed swine flu was given the drug, even if they showed no symptoms.

One of the studies reveals that evidence of side effects prompted ministers to change the policy so only confirmed or suspected cases get Tamiflu.

The first study, of 103 children at three London schools, showed that 53 per cent suffered side effects.

The most common were nausea (29 per cent), stomach pain or cramps (20 per cent) and problems sleeping (12 per cent).

The other study, on a secondary school in South West England which was closed for ten days after a swine flu case, said 51 per cent of pupils had symptoms such as feeling sick (31 per cent), headaches (24 per cent) and stomach ache (21 per cent).

Both studies were reported in the medical bulletin Eurosurveillance.

Critical: Natasha Newman, 16, has chronic respiratory failure

A British schoolgirl was fighting for her life in a Greek hospital last night after developing swine flu while on holiday.
Natasha Newman, 16, is on life support after suffering lung damage and other complications.
Her parents are keeping a vigil at her bedside in the intensive care unit.
Natasha, a pupil at Prince Charles’ Scottish public school, Gordonstoun, was taken ill during a family holiday on the island of Cephalonia.

When her condition-worsened she was flown to the Agia Sofia children’s hospital in Athens.
Doctors described her condition as ‘critical but stable’.

They said she caught the illness in the UK but did not seek treatment.
Her father Julian Newman said: ‘Natasha is very bad. She has chronic respiratory failure.

    She has complications like pneumonia.’
Natasha, from Highgate in North London, was on a four-week holiday with her father, mother Nikki and sister Lauren

The ETFs are a possibility. Look at food commodities that will hold up to hyperinflation conditions, alternative energy and industrial metals. It may be a question of where you will lose the least. Definitely a NO on money markets unless it is foreign money markets (not pounds). Do you have a gold account with The advantage there is that you are able to move your propriety title in gold in and out of other currencies and do electronic transfers. Btw, I expect silver to outperform gold. The historic ratio of gold to silver pricing is 16 to 1. As hyperinflation becomes manifest, expect that ratio to move in that direction.

« Justice Horace Gray Clearly Indicated Wong Kim Ark Was Not a Natural Born Citizen.Wall Street Journal Caught Spreading False Legal Propaganda Via James Taranto

Yesterday, American journalism reached a new low when James Taranto of the Wall Street Journal published legal propaganda that appears to blatantly lie to readers. In discussing the issues surrounding Obama’s birth to an alien father, Taranto added text to a US statute which does not contain such text. Here is the offensive passage:

“Someone born overseas and after 1986, but otherwise in identical circumstances to Obama, would be a natural-born citizen thanks to a law signed by President Reagan.”

    No such law exists.

The words “natural born citizen” do not appear in the statute discussed by Mr. Taranto. In fact, the words “natural born citizen” do not exist in any US statute. Those words only appear in the Constitution – Article 2 Section 1 – and only as a requirement to be President.

    The US code Taranto makes reference to is TITLE 8 > CHAPTER 12 > SUBCHAPTER III > Part I > § 1401 (g):

§ 1401. Nationals and citizens of United States at birth
The following shall be nationals and citizens of the United States at birth:
    (g) a person born outside the geographical limits of the United States and its outlying possessions of parents one of whom is an alien, and the other a citizen of the United States who, prior to the birth of such person, was physically present in the United States or its outlying possessions for a period or periods totaling not less than five years, at least two of which were after attaining the age of fourteen years…

The statute does not use the words “natural born citizen”.

Mr. Taranto needs to get back to Hogwarts fast and try a new spell. His magic wand didn’t add new text to the US Code overnight.

Had Mr. Taranto made the focus of his article the issue of whether persons who obtain citizenship at birth by statute are also natural born citizens for purposes of meeting the Presidential requirements of Article 2 Section 1 Clause 5, such a discussion would have been proper. His legal analysis as stated in the article would be wrong, but stating such a question presented and taking a position thereto is a correct form of editorial.

But that’s not what Taranto has done.

Taranto and The Wall Street Journal have done something far more damaging and nefarious than simply mis-analyzing the law. He’s written – and they’ve published – a piece of propaganda here which makes it appear as if the text of the law contains words which are not there.

Let’s call that what it is – propaganda. They weren’t content to ask a legal question and honestly deal with both sides of the argument from a non-partisan and pure journalistic intent. No. This article is an attempt to trick readers into believing laws exist which do not exist.

The statute does not include the words “natural born citizen”. Regardless, those who read Taranto’s article are left with the impression that the statute includes those words.

And that is journalistic evildoing personified.

Statutes that grant citizenship – at birth or later in life via naturalization – provide rescue to those people whose citizenship is not self evident at birth. If you’re born in the US to parents who are citizens then you are a natural born citizen and you do not need a statute to create your citizenship which is natural and self evident.

Statutory citizenship does not give rise to natural born citizen status – which is not a right but a requirement to be President. All citizens have the same rights, but not all “citizens” can be President. Not even all “natural born citizens” can be President. The Constitution put the requirements for President in the Document to exclude persons from eligibility, not include them.

Taranto’s article is a gauntlet thrown down in your face. The fourth estate has signaled – through this blatant propaganda attack on the law – that it is willing to lie to your face – IN YOUR FACE – Amerika.

Perhaps all other measures to control this issue are failing. And perhaps my constant pessimism that this blog isn’t doing any good to wake people up is misguided. Blatant propaganda tells me somebody somewhere is getting desperate to make this all go away.

The Wall Street Journal via propaganda agent James Taranto has taken a drastic course of action from which the point of no return is clearly mapped.

We aint in Kansas anymore, people.

Radio talkers canned for Farah interview
Obama eligibility issue does in Louisiana co-hosts

WASHINGTON – A pair of Louisiana FM radio talkers say they got canned following an interview with WND Editor and Chief Executive Officer Joseph Farah on the subject of Barack Obama’s constitutional eligibility for office.

“The end began for us a couple of weeks ago when Joseph Farah from was interviewed on our show regarding the ‘Where’s The Birth Certificate?’ campaign,” said Daniel “Spike” Harville. “That afternoon I stopped by the AM radio station and the owner, Mrs. Ruby Collins, took the opportunity to give me an earful about the show with Mr. Farah. She told me, and I later confirmed with the secretary, the phones had been ringing off of the hook all morning with complaints that we would question Obama’s eligibility to be president. Several of those callers threatened to call the FCC and complain.”

Harville said Collins told him she was “afraid of the Obama administration sending a bunch of lawyers, the IRS and the FCC to close her down, so we needed to cool it.”

See the movie Obama doesn’t want you to see: The 1st documentary on the presidential eligibility issue!

The next day, when the co-host of the “Mike and Spike Show,” G. Michael Lee was in the KNCB offices, the subject of Joseph Farah came up again, and he was chastised by the owner.

Lee said he was told to tone down the political talk and not mention Obama again.

    (Story continues below)

The final blow came July 22 when the talkers discussed a weekend date by Lee’s daughter. He showed up for dinner dressed in a suit – a marked contrast to the previous appearance when he wore a cap on sideways, baggy pants and a tank top. Lee told the young man he looked like a thug.

A caller then accused the pair of speaking in racial code.

Immediately following that show, the ax fell on the “Mike and Spike Show.”

“We were very involved with the tea party movement and were able to give them lots of radio coverage,” said Lee. “We also interviewed some wonderful people on the air including Ann Coulter, Dog the Bounty Hunter, several people from Newt Gingrich’s office, including Dr. Bill Forstgen, and WND news guru Joseph Farah. Our goal was to raise the awareness of the average listener whether they knew it or not. We are now looking for another station or syndicator.”

The show was heard in Louisiana, Texas and Arkansas.

Code Blue! How Canada care nearly killed my kid

    Posted: July 31, 2009
    1:00 am Eastern

    © 2009

“Code Blue, intensive care unit,” “Code Blue, intensive care unit!”

When the Code-Blue alarm sounded over the hospital’s loudspeaker system, my husband and I knew it sounded for our daughter. It was 11 p.m. The hallways of the British Columbia hospital were dark. Only one emergency operating theatre was in use. She was in it. The skeletal staff came running. Resuscitation carts were rushed toward the theatre.

My own heart nearly stopped, because she is my heart.

To follow Dr. David Gratzer’s plainspoken definition (the good doctor is a Canada-care whistleblower), Code Blue is “the term used when a patient’s heart stops and hospital staff must leap into action to save him.” My then 12-year-old had stopped breathing on the operating table and was being revived.

Earlier that day she had broken her arm sliding down an embankment with friends. She arrived home, coat draped awkwardly over her disfigured limb, and stood in the doorway sheepishly. Sheepish because she feared I’d be angry. You see, she had fibbed about her whereabouts and was supposed to be studying.

Sheepish, but heroic, as we would soon discover.

“Oh those bones, oh those bones,” goes the old song. My familiarity with the structure of the human arm until then extended to, “the finger bone is connected to the hand bone, and the hand bone is connected to the arm bone, and the arm bone is connected to the shoulder bone, Oh mercy how they scare!”

A subsequent X-ray of Nicky’s arm many hours on would reveal that nothing much was connected any longer. Hers was not just any old fracture. The humerus and the ulna were completely severed. The free-floating bones were pushing out against the skin. Yet the child never so much as whimpered.

We rushed her to the hospital where we imagined she’d get care right away. Recent immigrants to Canada, this was our first encounter with the single-payer health care system. Back in the “old country,” South Africa, we had benefited from a thriving, profitable, private sector in medicine, where relatively unrestricted entry into the profession, and the prospects of a lucrative, prestigious career, attracted the country’s crème de la crème, and ensured a steady supply of graduates from excellent medical schools. (These once venerated institutions have since succumbed to the malignant effects of affirmative action that privileges the majority population. Consequently, South Africa’s medical schools are no longer internationally recognized.)

    (Column continues below)

The old-fashioned family physician had pride of place in this market and still made house calls. Emergency calls were answered by an “on call” partner in a practice, and not an answering machine. If you had no insurance, you’d contract directly with your medic, and pay him off, little by little, if necessary.

Commensurate with job satisfaction, voluntarism was high among the doctors I patronized. Once a month, my daughter’s pediatrician, bless him, would venture into the “bush” to treat underprivileged children, gratis. Another specialist repaired cleft palates, also for free.

These superb practitioners had done stints in Britain’s government-run National Health Service. Obama would call them racists, but, as they told it, the NHS was staffed mainly by graduates of Pakistan’s medical schools. Oxford and Cambridge-bound students were less likely to be enticed by the prospects of capped physician fees and squalid working conditions.

My daughter was born in a private, spiffy, state-of-the-art South African clinic, entirely within the financial reach of a middle-class young family. Now she was writhing in excruciating pain, on a hard bench, in full view of her unforgiving caretakers, in the dilapidated corridors of a state-run Canadian hospital.

In retrospect, the admissions process was devoid of any manner of medical prioritizing. A woman who complained of a migraine was being interviewed at length ahead of us. She took her time, as did her interviewer. A few sullen sorts were being checked out for mild sniffles as we waited.

    And waited.

It was abundantly clear that the service, perceived as free by the freeloading public, was being overused. Yet separating urgent from trivial cases did not seem to form part of the protocol. This was compounded by the cruel indifference of the gatekeepers – the receptionists and emergency nurses.

So we sat and we sat. Every now and then I’d rise to plead for a palliative for my agonizing child and her detached limb. Cold stares and stern admonitions were all I got. Two hours into the wait, my daughter finally began sobbing quietly. Still, the staff stared. When we were eventually summoned, a bureaucrat began filling in a lengthy questionnaire. I realized where she was going with her probes. Before the medical abuse would cease, child abuse had to be ruled out. The woman was investigating us for breaking our daughter’s arm!

Next in store was a protracted stretch on a gurney, unattended. Another eternity passed before the mangled arm was X-rayed with great difficulty. A tired looking young surgeon explained the severity of the fracture. This was not a case for a cast. Nicky would require surgery sometime that night. When, he could not say. An inept nurse began poking the child’s arm for a vein. I swooned at the sight of the punctured, bleeding little appendage. My husband kept vigil as I recovered outdoors. After another nurse was called in, a morphine IV was finally inserted. It stayed in until she was operated on – hours later.

A cursory investigation into why Nicky coded that night was conducted. The findings were, conveniently, inconclusive. The custodians of Canada care had tried to convince me that my daughter had reacted to a compound in the chemical cocktail that was the anesthetic.

A decade on, the same precious person required wisdom teeth extraction, this time in the United States. She had forgotten how close she had once come to dying, but the thought of another such procedure panicked her mother.

Nicky’s American oral and maxillofacial surgeon, however, had no qualms whatsoever about putting her under in his well-appointed rooms. (Yes, we paid him out of pocket; ever heard of saving for a procedure instead of going on holiday?) For after hearing all the facts of the case, he was in a position to explain what had happened 10 years back.

It took a free American practitioner, in private practice, to deconstruct for me what had transpired on that fateful day.

The subpar care Nicky had received entailed the ongoing administration of morphine. Morphine, especially in a young child, depresses the respiratory system. Administered following hours on morphine, the general anesthetic acted cumulatively to stop her breathing.

Why is this episode typical of a day in the life of a patient interned in a state-run health care system?

As one wag warned: “Power will intoxicate the best hearts, as wine the strongest heads. No man is wise enough, nor good enough to be trusted with unlimited power.” (Except for Obama, naturally.)

The license to exercise near-unlimited power goes hand-in-glove with an indifferent, cruel and invasive bureaucracy.

In the U.S., an overly litigious society has led to the practice of defensive medicine. But in the “public option’s” sphere of influence, responsibility is collectivized. The culprits of a Code Blue or the odd slip of the scalpel have no out-of-pocket payments to fear. Had I sued the hospital, the comatose Canadian taxpayer would have been forced to pony up for the malpracticing parties.

In defense of the medics who ministered to Nicky let me say this: Most were good. All were hopelessly locked into a professional gulag in which wages are tied to a negotiated deal with labor, rather than – as is the case in a competitive market – to the individual physician’s performance.

For his considerable skill, the surgeon who pinned Nicky’s shattered bones together is rewarded with an increased workload, but no extra pay. Medical men and women like him must watch as mediocre practitioners are elevated beyond their capabilities, and as underperforming hospitals are “fixed” with infusions of funds. For such are the perverse, inverse incentives in all government departments – failure is rewarded with more resources. Coupled with capped fees and overflowing waiting rooms, these medical conscripts must contend with antiquated equipment and obsolete drugs.

Doctors are all corralled into this one and only “company.” There is no other option, public or private. Should their instinct for freedom get the better of them, they must defect to America.

And soon that option will die, too.

On the other hand, I have also raised the question of what, exactly, Americans can currently afford to subsidize.

And, the base isn’t willing to lift a finger – aside from posting the occasional me-too messages in internet forums – to try to prevent being steamrolled.

It might be helpful to note that they’re the ones with the cameras, the TV networks, and the printing presses. Just sitting back in echo chambers isn’t going to strike back against that, people have to actually do something effective.

The controversy over President Obama’s birth certificate will not go away as long as he refuses to release sealed records, including the original birth certificate, according to Carol Swain, professor of political science and law at Vanderbilt University.

“I believe that the president should end the speculation by being transparent about all aspects of his background,” Swain said. “In fact, it can be argued that the president belongs to the people and to scholars, biographers and others who are entitled to know every aspect of his past. Only great men can ascend to this height, and their lives should be examined and studied for the lessons they offer.”

Swain said that what is posted online for the president is a certificate of live birth. “It is the failure to release the long form that keeps suspicion alive,” she said. Swain noted that she strongly disagrees with those who want to criticize Americans, including journalist Lou Dobbs, who continue to raise the issue.

Other sealed records that Swain has called for the president to release include those pertaining to his education, foreign travel and state legislative business.

    The truth about Obamacare

If the government establishes a program that makes it cheaper for employers to dump their employees into the “government option,” they will. Employers will respond to large bottom-line incentives.

A “government option” will work quickly and effectively to cripple private insurance. It is “single payer on the installment plan,” and that’s why Americans are turning against it by the millions, and telling Congress as much.

They don’t tell you the truth about Obamacare, which is that it will cause millions of Americans to lose the insurance they presently have.

Over and over again voices from the president down and all across the left tell you how terrible private insurance is, but the vast majority of Americans with private insurance want to keep it.

Yes, there are horror stories out there about bad insurance companies refusing to pay good claims –and that’s why the tort of wrongful denial of coverage is such a powerful one.

Juries hate insurance companies that refuse to pay for treatments they have agreed to cover, and the verdicts that follow proof of such a denial are large as a result.

When the government takes over your insurance and refuses to pay for a treatment, good luck threatening that bureaucrat with a lawsuit.

Most Americans want to keep the insurance they have.

Most Democrats in Congress and the president want to take it away and replace it with a government policy.

That’s the big divide in D.C., and it is the reason you have to act between now and the return of Congress in September if you want to be certain of staying out of a government insurance plan.

His “deal,” in fact, leaves just enough scary stuff in the legislation to allow Blue Dogs to get smacked around all August, while taking just enough out to ensure the base reaches fever pitch by September.

The Waxman-Pelosi strategy has also reverberated beyond the House.

The hammering that House Democrats received on cap-and-trade has only further discouraged senators from tackling that legislation.

Mr. Obama has felt compelled to say nice things about this early House product, tying the White House to reckless legislation, and further raising the left’s hopes.

And while I don’t think we need physical gold backing every dollar as Paul wishes, this notion that the Fed needs to conduct “monetary policy” is absurd.

All we need is price rule whereby the dollar has a fixed, redeemable value. Why we allow a bunch of academics with terrible track records do much of anything is beyond me. We don’t need policy, we just need a dollar-price rule and that wouldn’t require the Federal Reserve. The Fed’s ability to create money at will has zero to do with economic growth.
Come on Jim, don’t go all statist on me.”

I am concerned that we wouldn’t get a dollar price rule but a Congress actively influencing monetary policy. I don’t want to trade Bernanke for Pelosi & Company. I would like a price rule, though.

Waxman Strong-arms Vote to Allow Abortion Coverage in Public Plan
Last night, the House Energy and Commerce Committee narrowly passed the Stupak-Pitts amendment to prevent the bill from mandating that private insurance plans cover abortions, but when Chairman Henry Waxman brought the amendment up for reconsideration minutes after passage, Rep. Bart Gordon of Tennessee flipped his vote to ‘no’, defeating the Stupak-Pitts amendment 30 to 29. “I misunderstood it the first time,” Gordon said of his flip-flop, according to The Hill. Gordon and Zack Space of Ohio were the only Blue Dogs on the committee to vote against the amendment to ban taxpayer-funding of abortion.

Instead of the Stupak-Pitts amendment, the committee passed an amendment that is being billed by some Democrats as a “common ground” measure on abortion. The amendment–sponsored by Lois Capps (D-Calif.), whose National Right to Life Committee vote-scorecard is 0 for 74–would allow the “public option” to provide coverage for elective abortions and would allow federally subsidized private plans to provide abortion coverage as well. How exactly could this be construed as “common ground”? Congress isn’t requiring the public option to cover abortion–merely allowing it. And through some nifty bookkeeping, abortions will supposedly be paid for out of private funds rather than tax dollars.

Because money is fungible, it’s difficult to say that tax dollars wouldn’t fund abortions through this plan. Douglas Johnson of the National Right to Life Committee says, “Federal subsidies would also flow to private plans that cover elective abortions, under meaningless bookkeeping schemes — and the amendment actually creates a federal mandate that there must be at least one private abortion plan in each premium rating areas of the health insurance exchange.” Say that an individual contributes $1,000 annually to purchase a health-care plan, and the government contributes $5,000. The federal subsidies are not supposed to pay directly for abortions services, but the taxpayer-subsidized plan would allow a person to purchase an abortion for, say, $50 rather than $500.

“The status quo is that nobody has federally subsidized health care that includes abortion,” says Johnson. That is true not only for Medicaid recipients, but federal employees as well.

Congressman Bart Stupak (D-Mich.) believes the Capps amendment is a “phony compromise”, according to his press secretary. Congressman Joe Pitts (R-Pa.) said in a statement that “The amendment would still allow for taxpayer funding to pay for plans that cover abortion. This is a fig leaf, designed to lure votes from Members who want cover on the issue. The American people will not be fooled. We want an explicit exclusion in the bill to prevent any taxpayer funding from paying for abortions. Anything else is wrong, and contrary to overwhelming popular opinion.”

Last week, Stupak said that there were a “minimum of 39 Democrats”–members who recently voted against public funding of abortion in Washington, D.C.–who would vote against a health-care bill that did not exclude coverage for elective abortions. Neither Zack Space nor Bart Gordon, the Blue Dogs who sided with Waxman, were among the 39 Democrats who voted against taxpayer funding of abortion in D.C. If those 39 Democrats joined all Republicans, they would have enough votes to defeat the bill.

Baucus – Grassley Senate Finance Committee

Unlike the healthcare reform bills coming out of the House and already approved by the Senate Health, Education, Labor and Pensions Committee, the legislation being assembled by the Finance Committee “eschews” two central Democratic priorities:

the creation of a government-run public option insurance plan and

a requirement that most employers provide health benefits.

Instead of a government-run plan, the Finance Committee group is weighing

the establishment of member-owned healthcare cooperatives

that would receive $6 billion in federal seed money.

The chief proponent of the co-ops, Sen. Kent Conrad (D-N.D.), said that 12 million people would sign up, according to preliminary estimates.

In place of a strict employer mandate on health benefits, the senators are considering

a proposal to discourage “free rider” companies

by requiring employers to reimburse the government for the cost of enrolling their workers in Medicaid or providing subsidies for private insurance.

Supporters of the employer mandate, which is part of the House and Senate health committee measures, believe it is needed to prevent employers from dumping health benefits.

Despite this, Baucus said, the CBO told the Finance Committee senators that their bill would not trigger companies to drop coverage.

“Employer-sponsored coverage increases throughout the life of the program,” Baucus said.

One of the six senators involved in negotiations said on Thursday that new health cooperatives proposed under its version of the legislation could insure 12 million of the 46 million uninsured Americans.

‘The leading actuaries in the country tell us this cooperative model can secure 12 million members very quickly and be the third-largest insurer in the country,’ Democrat Kent Conrad told the NPR radio network.

‘So we have lots of reasons to believe this will be a successful competitor’ to private insurance firms, he said.

Conrad is one of three Democrats and three Republicans in the Finance Committee who have zeroed in on a plan that would use the non-profit cooperatives to compete with private insurers to help drive down costs.

A government-run insurance program, favored by Obama and many of his fellow Democrats but resisted by Republicans and the insurance industry, would not pass the Senate, he said.

(I’ll be very interested to see if Obama really does want healthcare reform in 2009. Or if he prefers that healthcare go the same way as cap and trade. A “victory” in the House, but then nothing. Then the Dems can blame GOP in 2010 for the status quo.)

This from, of all places, the Huff’n Puff Post:

The only thing weirder than the Birthers are the anti-Birthers, who blame the Birthers for being conspiracy theorists yet actively feed the conspiracy by refusing to call for President Obama to release his birth certificate.

The state official in Hawaii who manages such things has reiterated that there is indeed an original birth certificate on file which would confirm President Obama’s having been born in Hawaii and that she has seen it, but state law won’t allow her to release it unless the president authorizes it.

So what’s the problem here? Release the original and let’s be done with this madness.

I realize there are some faith-based Obama supporters who believe without seeing, but the rest of us in the reality-based world are starting to get that strange feeling we got when Mark Sanford tried to convince us that he was away from his family on Father’s Day, hiking the Appalachian trail in order to clear his head and write a book.

During the last campaign, John McCain faced similar questions and promptly responded by releasing his original birth certificate. That’s how normal people with nothing to hide handle these things.

Most American’s aren’t Birthers or anti-Birthers, but we are beginning to wonder why the president doesn’t put this one to rest once and for all. Every day he allows this circus to continue is another day that he behaves less like the President of the United States facing weird accusations from fringe groups and more like a strange politician flying to Argentina to visit his soul-mate while pretending to be hiking the Appalachians.

Obama’s birth debate: It’s about loyalty
    By James Lewis
The birth debate about Obama is real enough, but it is legally complicated, as analyzed by legal beagle Andrew McCarthy at National Review. No judge is going to question the Constitutional qualifications of an elected president. I’m sorry, but that’s the practical reality. The judge is going to follow stare decisis — the sheer weight of commitments that cannot be reversed without creating chaos. Once the political system of the United States, the voters, the media, and the politicians themselves are all committed to the proposition that Obama is president, trying to reverse it would mean riots in every city in the nation. At some point even debatable claims become irreversible. That is why Al Franken is now the US Senator from Minnesota, even if his election was corrupt and wrong. It’s water under the bridge. Leave it to history.

And yet the Obama “birther” debate is important. What’s important about it is the feeling a growing number of Americans have in their bones that Obama is foreign — to our traditions, loyalties and shared understandings about the nature of America. In a way the legal debate matters less than that bone-deep sense that Obama is fundamentally “Other than American.”

We all recognized George W as a prototypical American — even if you didn’t agree with him or even like him. There he was cutting dry brush around his modest West Texas ranch house, to keep down the fire danger, while the fat and foolish White House punditry stayed huddled back in the air conditioning. Or flying onto the aircraft carrier in a jet trainer after Saddam was overthrown. Or heading straight to walk Ground Zero with the cops and fire fighters right after 9/11. Bush looked at home with those cops, because he was. He likes those guys, and they like him. They are made of the same stuff. Obama isn’t.

Obama is a socialist, which means that his deepest commitment is not to our nation but to the Internationalist Ruling Class. That is why the Left always has to argue that Americans’ love of country will kill off the rest of the world — by global warming, by overpopulation, any excuse will do. The fact that it’s all lies proves the point: The Left must lie in order to convince millions of Americans that their normal feelings of patriotism are evil.

These facts are so obvious that they are not even worth arguing about. Obama’s first international speech — characteristically before getting elected — started with the phrase “Citizens of the World!” Anybody on the Left has to think, “Workers of the World, Unite! You have nothing to lose but your chains!” That was the intended message to the left, of course — that’s how David Axelrod thinks, that’s how Obama’s mentors have always thought — going back to his way-left mother and his Kenyan socialist father. The interracial affair between the Kansas anthropologist 20-year-old and the Kenyan socialist was itself a revolutionary act, the way these people think. It was a positive good to bear an interracial child, even if the kid was going to be abandoned by his father and mother. From that point onward the Old Left handled the whole chain of custody. Obama was passed along by leftie sponsors, one after the other. Frank Marshall Davis was the Communist Party guy in Hawaii, and wrote for the Hawaiian Communist Party rag. You can trace it link after link, following the Alinskyite chain all the way to the far left wing of the Chicago Machine, then 20 years of being preached at by Rev. Jeremiah Wright (whose brand of Christianity is only Marxism under a transparent layer of lies).

That’s our Obama, and that’s what he proudly proclaimed: Not Oh Say Can You See/ By the Dawn’s Early Light, but Dreams from My (Kenyan Socialist) Father.

This is not a secret. Obama is foreign to America in a way that has little to do with his birth certificate. He could be American-born and still think in this very anti-American way. A lot of people are. But whatever he is legally, there is not a shred of doubt that he is steeped in an Anti-American way of thinking.

This is what I suspect the birther movement is about. Yes, the legalities are suspect. No, it will never make any practical difference. But most important, the birthers are aware of a deep intuition about Barry Soetoro Barack Hussein Obama: That he is profoundly out of tune with the meaning of America since the Founding. He is out of harmony with this country and this culture, like the dissonant scream of a power-saw biting into steel or concrete. He just grates on the American sensibility.

Obama is a Ruling Class Aristocrat — by intuition, beliefs, and personal egomania. He was born to rule. It’s partly that he has always gone to all the elite schools, from Hawaii to Harvard, just like Michelle. But he was put into those schools by the efforts of the left, which is a Socialist Ruling Class movement. The left in its own vision is always Ruling Class To Be that is being kept unjustly from taking over the world. That’s why they hate real democracy, why they sneer at Coke and fries, and why capitalism is so bad: Because it constant caters to “vulgar” tastes.

(The fact that the left always claims to help the lowest of the low is just a political tactic. By digging up the most resentful victims — by race, class or gender — you bring out the most explosive revolutionary dynamite; it’s the people who are the most envious and resentful, who want nothing more than to flip the world upside-down and watch destruction rain down. That’s why the Left constantly appeals to the “idealism” of teenagers, the natural rebels. They all want to rock the world. And if it’s not teens, it’s illegal immigrants, sexual deviants, the homeless, drug addicts, criminals, the racially oppressed, those who hate themselves, the prostitutes, and the mentally ill. Karl Marx called them the Lumpen-Proletariat, the Eternal Underclass who want to smash whatever is. As the Nazi slogan said it, “Alles Muss Anders Sein” — “Everything Must Be Different.”

The left is about the overthrow of whatever is, whether good or bad. The Eternal Underclass is the cannon fodder of any revolution. They are the lowlifes who can be trusted to burn down the Reichstag, to smash the stores of the Jews — or in Indonesia, of the Chinese — and to hang the rich from the nearest lamp post. When blue collar workers started to make money the Left didn’t rejoice in their new well-being and happiness. Rather, the left just looked for another Underclass: Those who felt oppressed by race, gender, sexual habits, whatever. For the left, any Underclass only exists to be manipulated by the Natural Ruling Class, the Aristocratic Vanguard, the Obamas of this world. That’s the only political strategy of the left. That is why they constantly lie and still believe in their own moral superiority.)

So is Obama American-born? I don’t know. I bet he never comes up with that vault copy birth certificate for us to examine. But it’s never going to matter a hill of beans, because no judge wants to be accused of overthrowing a sitting President of the United States.

But is Obama in tune with the soul of this country as Americans have understood it since 1776?

I think we all know the answer to that.

That is what our political battles will be about, for years and years to come. Don’t expect it to be solved soon. It’s been going on for a century. It didn’t end with American victory in the Cold War. It is most of all a battle for minds and hearts, not for territory — although territory matters. Conservatives helped win the Cold War, but did not win the battle for the schools and universities. That is why Barry Soetoro Barack Hussein Obama is now President.

Gear yourself up, and don’t stop fighting the battle for hearts and minds. It’s all-important.

    Forty days ago we died
    Along with that mother
    Whose scream I still hear
    Not only in my ear
    But deeper
    In the bloody cracks
    Of my broken heart.
    Forty days ago
    We saw life
    Chased out of
    The young eyes
    Of someone else’s daughter
    Forty days ago
    We all died
    Bearing witness
    To the naked cruelty
    Equally random and arrogant
Of those we refuse to call
    Songs of heroism anger me,
    Drown in the wail
    Of mourning mothers
    Churning in my stomach
    Martyrs we do not need
    We are dead already
    We died forty days ago
    Bearing witness
    To the uncensored
    ‘Graphic content’
    Of human cruelty!
    What we need
    Is a miracle:
    A mother
    Whose newborn’s
    First cry
    Rips through
    The clean crisp
    Air of freedom
    Finally found.

    I’m not afraid Anymore

I just read (in Persian) a beautiful description of what happened yesterday in Tehran’s cemetery to the people that were planning to go to Neda’s grave. The description is so poetic and beautiful that I decided to translate it to English to share with you.

It is hot. I am tired. It has been two nights that I haven’t had proper sleep. I just came directly from my village next to Isfahan to Beheshte Zahra. I’m still wearing green scarf and haven’t had a proper meal since morning.

Sun is shinning on our head and we are chanting slogans, but we are late…

The riot police have surrounded section 257 [where Neda’s grave is].

Riot police is standing in front of us. We are a lot, we are chanting slogans and going forward and the Police are retreating. We have the good feeling of Victory.

    I tell my friend:

Who are all these people? How is it that they’re not getting tired? How is it they have so much energy?

A lady next to me was shouting: “Government of Coup, Resign, Resign”

I am feeling so tired, tell my friend: “I’m not planning to get martyred today, shall we go home?”

She asks me: “are you afraid?”

I reply: Maybe, since the day that I saw the police hitting that young man on the head with baton and seeing the blood from his head, I got afraid. These days when I get home midnight, until I hear that all my friends have also got home safe I feel my heart in my mouth.

What time was it, Yeah it was around 6. Suddenly they started attacking us. I was still wondering if I’m afraid or not. They started hitting us with their batons. My friend and I are now separated.

I’m standing, suddenly I’m feeling calm. I don’t feel like running away.

The black dressed riot police come towards me, moving their batons and swearing.

I’m still standing. A riot police stands in front of me and shouts: “Piss off”, but I’m still standing. It is the 254th section.

I’m all alone. They fired tear gas in the next section. Smoke and dust makes it difficult to see. I look around me. Look into the eyes of the riot police that is staring at me behind his mask. Hatred is in my eyes. I’m not afraid. I don’t “piss off”.

I’m standing here. In 254th section of Beheshte Zahra. The police spray pepper in my eyes. Someone shoots tear gas towards us.

I’m still standing, I’m still standing. My face is burning. Someone grabs my hand and pull me.

    QUESTION: (Inaudible) for the broad region of Pakistan and Afghanistan. Pakistani forces have been fighting in Swat and the tribal area, but they haven’t yet caught any militant leader;

for example, Baitullah Mehsud or Maulana Fazlullah.

Have you talked with Pakistani leaders that they are yet to get any one of those militant leaders?

AMBASSADOR HOLBROOKE: That’s a constant subject, and – but they did arrest Sufi Mohammad.

He’s a guy who negotiated that truce which turned out to be a surrender disguised as a truce, which led to the crisis.

HSL has been one of the world’s top performing investment letters for years and it is so well researched that it predicted the crash of the financial industry and the markets last year.

Now HSL is reporting that U.S. embassies around the world are being told to buy huge quantities of the local currency, enough to sustain each embassy for at least a year. HSL also reports that embassies the federal government is sending huge amounts of U.S. dollars to buy currency from the local governments.

HSL suspects that a federal bank holiday is being planned as was done during the Depression,to allow them to sort out bank failures, impose new bank rules and implement even more nationalization; which could lead to the devaluation of the U.S. dollar.

I just posted this over at I see Katie has posted there too.

    bobthetaxpayer, James et al,
I don’t know if Linda SD is still around, but I second her statements. If by Loyalty, James means allegiance, then he would be right. I find the article lacking in that it fails to mention a government of law (Constitution/employment agreement) not men. Bob, this is not a debate of left or right. In fact, there are just as many Jeffersonian Democrats demand the Constitution be followed as there are conservatives. The concept of left and right is a misrepresented smoke screen to appease the masses and distract them from what is really going on. What is really going on is that We The People have been duped by Illuminists and their lap dogs. We have been deceived by a false-god government (corporation) via government schools, a corrupt judiciary, an elitist controlled media, and bribed/silenced pulpits. We have been brainwashed to believe that our juries should consider only the facts of a case and not judge the law. We are sovereigns and have every right to judge the law…any judge that says otherwise is lying and should be run out on a rail. Mr. Lewis excuses the judiciary by putting them on some high ground when in fact the judiciary is either paid off or scared off. SCOTUS is following the instructions of their puppet masters. The entire judiciary (including SCOTUS) thus far encountered should be impeached for breaching their oath of office (to defend the Constitution), save Judge Carter. Same with Congress. Same with every Secretary of the several States. This is not about fear of bringing on riots. It is about preserving our Republic! This was never supposed to be a democracy and one of the ways we have all been duped is via the glorification of a democracy. A democracy is essentially mob rule and is a transitional form of government headed toward oligarchy. Mr. Lewis’s article may define the left, but fails miserably to define the freedom movement which is all about saving the rights of the sovereign citizens (of every color, origin & political bent) which is supposed to be the primary purpose of our government.

Now, let me cut to the chase. Barry Soetoro is not the head of the snake. He is just another in a long line of puppets. He has been trained for what he is about. He deceived the citizens across the political spectrum. He is willfully and skillfully killing the Republic of the United States and especially economically crippling the middle class with a 1000 razor cuts. He is not making mistakes. He is bringing down our military and our wealth in order to facilitate the control of the elitist banksters. Do the research and you will learn that there is no clear distinctions between H W Bush and Bill Clinton. Mr Soetoro/Obama is of the same ilk. Go read Tom Fife’s article at rense, or watch Alex Jones’ “Obama Deception”. Another good video is Aaron Russo’s “America Freedom to Fascism”. Mr. Lewis’ article has some truth in it, like much of the main stream media, but serves to continue perpetrating the deception. All you have to do right now to join the movement is pray that Judges Kerchner and Carter have the courage and allegiance to law to stand up for citizen’s rights and live up to their oath of office. No one I know in this movement wants anything but peace. It is the Illuminists (via Obama) that are leaving sovereign citizens with no peaceful solution (see J B Williams article at Canada Free Press, “Do You Fear Obama?”)

  74. Tenacity Says:

Why would the proprietor want my Dollars if they are such a huge risk?
They will buy the gold wholesale, mark it up say 10%. When they get your dollars, they will immediately buy 110% as much gold as they sold you for the amount you paid. In other words, they take their profit and immediately reinvest it back into gold.

  75. Tenacity Says:

Right now, we can all buy 1 oz. silver rounds for let’s say $17.50 if you buy 20 or more. You can go spend it on $20 worth of merchandise. That sort of makes you a dealer. In that you are selling the silver for more than you paid. Then, you should immediately take any dollars you have and buy more silver. The dealer is essentially doing the same thing. When hyperinflation becomes even more manifest, you will be very pleased with the comparable rate of exchange with dollars. You should still be able to buy 5 loaves of bread with a 1 oz. silver round even when the loaf of bread sells for $20. You do the math.

The surge in the gold market has put this market in a position to resume the uptrend with a breakout over the last swing top at 962.70.

September Silver is also rallying sharply higher.

This market, however, has more upside potential, provided it can break out above the last swing top at 14.10.

Following this move, look for a test of at least 14.34.

Undoubtedly, she has impressive academic credentials, a lengthy judicial record, and a personal story that is inspiring to many Americans. However, I am concerned with Judge Sotomayor’s ability to adhere to long-standing case precedent and apply the law according to a strict interpretation of the Constitution. I am troubled by her decisions in cases where she appears to have relied on something other than well-settled law to come to a decision. My fear is that she has been unable to separate her personal belief system from that of the letter of the law. Her nomination is expected to come to the Senate floor next week.

Sorry for the long post – I just thought Gunslinger’s reasoning on secession were worth a read

Anon left a comment, asking what my thoughts were on the possibility of secession. Those who read this blog regularly, will know that I’ve written on the subject before, and at some length. But I’d like to take this opportunity to revisit it for Anon…and others who perhaps haven’t heard my point of view…I’ll be brief.

The difference between any historical “then” and now, is that we’ve never faced anything like what’s going on in our nation today. Ever.

We have a “President” who has every intention of transforming America from the land of the free and the home of the brave, from a marketplace of capitalists and individualists into another failed prison of a “people’s paradise”…with a side of racism.

Barack Øbama is a fascist racist. He seeks to control finance, business, medicine, energy and every possible aspect of our lives, because he, the great “enlightened one”, knows better.

He is the President of the United States and he despises our heritage, our history, our founding documents, our form of government, our liberty, our rights…and if we’re white…us.

He is the President of the United States, the most powerful man on earth… and he is a Progressive/Marxist/Fasist/Racist Revolutionary who believes that it is the right of the “Elite”, of which he is a member, to RULE the “common people” who are too stupid to have the right to make decisions about their own lives, because they often make ones not in accord with the wishes of that same elite who….Know Better.

Barack Obama and his coterie are evil. They are literally the Dark Lord’s minions. They serve the Lord of the Flies. They are Loki’s servants. They are tools of the Devil. (Take your choice).

We face the most dangerous time in our country. If we are not alert, if we don’t fight, if we don’t resist, if we don’t decide to risk it all for liberty, he will literally make us into a Banana Republic, just like his buddy, Hugo Chavez, has done to Venezuela – a formerly thriving democracy.

In light of this, secession is not a very radical solution.

I believe that if we don’t stop Øbama’s agenda, change the balance of power in 2010, make him a lame duck before the end of this year, and boot him out of office under a cloud in 2012…it will end in blood—unless—those of us who refuse to become serfs of an Imperial State are allowed to separate ourselves from the Brave New World Øbama is creating.

There are people who are unwilling to face the reality of this man’s depth of evil. It’s almost impossible to conceive that this sort of thing could be happening here in America. But if you were listening, and if you are paying attention, there is no other explanation that fits the facts.

To ruin the free market, to ruin health care, to increase debt, to increase unemployment, to increase external dangers from Iran/China/North Korea, to increase taxes during a recession, to pit blacks against whites, the poor against the “rich”, the worker against his employer…these are intentional actions—meant to create fear, hate and chaos. They’re meant to divide us so that we are easier to conquer.

They can be no other explanation for anyone with even a modicum of common sense, because, none of his programs can possibly do what he pretends they are meant to do. You can’t fix debt by spending, you can’t encourage competition & excellence & prosperity by bailing out failures, you can’t ensure good health by rationing medicine, you can’t help the economy by raising taxes, and you can’t get people working by destroying businesses and employers.

Even Øbama is not that stupid. This is an intense, serious, prolonged, assault on the security and the prosperity of our nation and its people. Happy, safe and wealthy people don’t generally embrace dictators. But frightened, insecure, miserable, sick, hopeless people are much more likely to.

But, it is my belief that no matter how bad things get, there are sections of this country, and citizens everywhere who will not go gently into that good night.

    I am one.

As I see it, these are the options:

    Option 1)
We stop Øbama and his fascist brownshirts and dismantle the Imperial State (which has been growing while we wolves have been sleeping like sheep – for decades)

    Option 2)
We don’t stop them and they destroy our Republic and institute a Marxist/Fascist “people’s paradise” and they allow those people who resist to leave to secede peacefully and found a separate New America.

    Option 3)
We don’t stop them and they destroy our Republic and institute a Marxist/Fascist “people’s paradise” and they don’t allow us to leave peacefully. In which case either a) we fight our way out of his totalitarian state and found a separate, New America; or b) we take the fight to Washington in an actual Second American Revolution and drain the entire Swamp of Vipers.

Restoration, Secession or Revolution. Those are our only options…because government of the people, by the people and for the people is on the brink of perishing from the earth.

I don’t how it will come down. I don’t know who will make the first move. I don’t know which section of the country will finally have had enough. But, because I believe in the American Spirit, I know it will happen if it must. Where will that second shot “heard round the world” ring out?

It might be at my house if they come to take my guns. It might be when they outlaw Glenn Beck and Rush Limbaugh. It might be when they seize your house. It might be when they force a union on employees who don’t want one. It might be when the National Guard, or that Marine refuses to fire on fellow citizens or enforce unjust laws. It might be when local police refuse to confiscate guns.

But American Citizens will make a stand. The only question is, will it be peaceful or otherwise.

That’s why it’s so important we do what we can do NOW, while peace still has a chance. It’s by far, the best option. Resistance doesn’t necessarily imply violence. And it is definitely time for resistence!

    The Gunslinger

    (Okay, so I wasn’t “brief”…sue me.)

  96. Troy Says:

I agree with gunslinger one thousand percent and it’s what I’ve been saying all along…..They protests are going to keep getting larger and at some point, somewhere, somebody, somehow is going to screw up and fire the first shot….The entire country will see it happen on or hear about it on the Internet or TV and the battle will have begun.

    Leo’s new post this morning
Wall Street Journal via James Taranto continue propaganda lies.
Posted in Uncategorized on August 1, 2009 by naturalborncitizen

The Wall Street Journal and James Taranto came under pressure after our article here yesterday revealed propaganda wherein they attempted to convince readers a statute exists which does not exist.

The Wall Street Journal – instead of owning up to the false reporting – has chosen to experiment with further propaganda by repeating the lie again. And in doing so, they have taken the final leap from journalism to big lie propaganda. Repeat the lie as often as you can and people will accept it as truth. This is the tactic employed by the Wall Street Journal and it’s straight out of Jospeh Goebbel’s original playbook:

Goebbels rose to power in 1933 along with Hitler and the Nazi party, and he was appointed propaganda minister. One of his first acts was the burning of books rejected by the Nazis. He exerted totalitarian control over the media, arts, and information in Germany. In that position, he perfected an understanding of the “Big Lie” technique of propaganda, which is based on the principle that a lie, if audacious enough and repeated enough times, will be believed by the masses.

The original propaganda lie stated by Taranto at the Wall Street Journal was this:

“Someone born overseas and after 1986, but otherwise in identical circumstances to Obama, would be a natural-born citizen thanks to a law signed by President Reagan.”

No such law exists. No such law was signed by Ronald Reagan. It’s a lie.

If it weren’t a lie, the Wall Street Journal would answer by printing statutory code references and text which support its reporting. But that’s not what happened because no such statute exists. The Wall Street Journal made it up out of thin air.

And when we called them on it, instead of acknowledging that no such law exists containing the phrase “natural born citizen”, the Wall Street Journal chose to repeat the same lie again. Here is the second lie. It appears in yesterday’s follow up by Taranto:

“Other statutes have extended natural-born citizenship to some children born overseas to U.S. citizens.”

There isn’t a single statute in all of US law which extends “natural-born citizenship” to anybody.

No current US law even uses the words “natural-born citizen”.

It’s shocking to see the Wall Street Journal come so far out of the propaganda closet. They have taken that final step into fascism – a willing embrace of big lie propaganda. And Joseph Goebbels would be proud. The ministry of propaganda is here.

One solution for America would be for Rose’s blog to be required reading each day. Then, most would know the truth and no longer be so easily duped. When the WSJ becomes a propaganda tool, one of the more conservative news outlets, you must admit that we are in a deep enough hole that it will be very difficult to climb out and no one can do it alone. We (the resistance) are in serious need of leadership. I suspect that those able and willing to lead have not been heard from yet on any large scale. I may be aware of some of them. Some are introverts and have not spoken loudly. The time is near.

What is happening inside of Iran is a perfect example of a government terrorizing its own citizenry.

Millions of hard working Americans have been pushed beyond their limits. The rude awakening, as for many of us here, is when one realizes that this is not a typical bipartisan push and tug, but is a methodical strategy to tear apart the Constitution and the fabric of America.

The Founders knew of such tyranny and gave America the tools to oppose it and if necessary, remove it.

Those who foolishly see tyranny as benevolence, react as Jenner. I understand that and it is more than sad.

“Iran’s Rafsanjani Denies Pact With Opposition Leaders”

Powerful Iranian cleric Akbar Hashemi Rafsanjani on Saturday branded as a “lie” a claim made in court that he had entered a pact with ex-president Mohammad Khatami and opposition leader Mir Hossein Mousavi.

Leading Iranian reformist Mohammad Ali Abtahi told a revolutionary court in Tehran earlier in the day that the powerful trio had sworn to support each other following the disputed re-election in June of President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad.

Abtahi, a close aide of Khatami, is one of 100 or so reformists and opposition supporters who went on trial Saturday accused of taking part in deadly riots after the June 12 election, which the opposition claims was rigged.

The Fars news agency reported that Abtahi during his testimony said Mousavi, Khatami and Rafsanjani, a former president, had taken an “oath” not to abandon each other.

“Mousavi probably did not know the country, but Khatami, with all due respect… knew all the issues. He was aware of the capability and power of the leader, but he joined Mousavi and this was a betrayal,” Abtahi said, adding that Rafsanjani sought to avenge his 2005 presidential defeat to Ahmadinejad.

Iran’s main political arbitration body, the Expediency Council, which is headed by powerful cleric Rafsanjani, denied Abtahi’s allegations, in a statement carried by the state news agency IRNA.

“The Expediency Council branded as a lie a statement made by Abtahi in court that Mousavi, Khatami and Rafsanjani swore to support each other,” IRNA said.

“Ayatollah Rafsanjani did not support any candidate in this election and did not have the slightest role in post-election incidents,” the statement added.

Rose, please know that I am all about peaceful solutions, but we no longer have fair elections (a la manipulated electronic voting) and in fact are bought elections. Where an insane amount of money doesn’t do the trick, they manipulate the caucuses and use special software to change the electronic results. I’m not sure when we last had a fair election. Now, we have had a coup via an ineligible candidate. I would hardly call this a peaceful transition of power. The transition of power has been from the people (constitution) to a Marxist regime.

Kasra Naji, special correspondent for BBC Persian Television, says the timing and scale of the trial came as a surprise and suggests Iran’s leadership wants to send a message to stop any more protests.

But judging from messages on micro-blogging site twitter and the internet, our correspondent says, the move may have the opposite effect, with several people talking about the need for new demonstrations and calling those on trial “national heroes”.

  125. rosettasister Says:

Young Iranian Woman – Email From Tehran

As we arrived on Valiasr people were spilt on different sides of the sidewalk: one side would shout slogans, the anti-riot police would attack with their batons and paint-ball guns (to mark the protesters to pick them up later), then the other side of the side-walk would start the chanting, so the anti-riot police would be forced to come to this side.

As they attacked one side of the sidewalk, the protestors on the opposite side would come out of the side streets they had just run into and gather, regroup, and chant again.

    This continued for hours.

When the anti-riot police disappeared for a bit, people lit candles and put them on the sidewalks, to commemorate the deaths of Neda, Sohrab, and the others.

At one point we had managed to cover one section of the street in candles.

As soon as the plainclothes militia saw the sidewalk lit in candles, they approached, stomped them out, and began hitting people.

No one turned away. They would attack us, we’d run into the side streets and reemerge less than one minute later.

The most haunting scene was when protesters had gathered at the beginning of Takht-tavvos Street and were shouting “Death to the Dictator.”

The anti-riot police gathered on their motorcycles (two per motorcycle, all in camouflage uniform, with full riot gear) in the middle of the street and their leader began pumping them up (it looked like a huddle during a football game—it was disgusting).

He got them riled up, spun his baton in the air three times, and then they attacked (there were about 30 motorcycles, all in full gear).

As they attacked the protestors in the street, some from the side began throwing stones at them, and all began cursing.

The anti-riot police would also drive up in cars and try to get people to move along and not congregate. People would walk slowly, then turn right back around.

There was no more fear. They attacked, people retreated in the side-streets, then would come back out in less than one minute as soon as the motorcycles had gone off.

There were so many protesters, and they were spread out all throughout Tehran

(Valiasr Square, Fatemi Square, Yousefabad, Vanak Square, Mosallah, Sanati Square, Amirabad, Revolution Square, Tajrish Square….all the main streets and squares of Tehran were full of people and it seemed for the first time that the forces simply were not enough)

The security forces were using batons, chains, whips, tasers, paint-ball guns, and I saw handguns in the hands of three of them.

There was a rumor that a few were shot at in Vanak Square. Two people were picked up near us and people tried to chase after the security forces to get the young men back, but it was a futile chase.

Until around 11pm the streets were full of people.

At 10pm the shouts of Allah-o Akbar and Death to the Dictator were being screamed from the rooftops all over the city until 10.30pm.

    Deadly Silence

We now know their fate: torture and death in Iranian secret prisons. One person detailed the vicious beatings in a Kihrizak prison, where “at least 200 people in one room, and everyone was getting beatings with sticks…The walls were all bloody.” The police allegedly turned off the lights to thrash the protesters for half-an-hour in pitch black. Among those killed was Mohsen Rouhalamini, a nine-year-old boy and coincidentally the son of an adviser to one of Ahmadinejiad’s opponents. Tehran released 140 political prisoners from their cells Tuesday, citing poor prison conditions, in an attempt to tamp down outrage before Thursday’s protests. Former President Mohammad Khatami described the substandard environs: “Murders have been committed, lives have been lost, blood has been spilt. Our youth, men and women have been treated in such a way that had it been committed in prisons controlled by foreigners everyone here would be shouting and denouncing it.”

Despite the presence of a child martyr, it is Neda’s memory that draws crowds this weekend. Thursday was the 40th day since her death, a sacred day of remembrance in both Islam and Christianity. Thousands – including “defeated” presidential candidates Mir Hossein Mousavi and Mehdi Karoubi – gathered at her grave Thursday, some chanting, “Neda is alive, Ahmadinejad is dead!”

Already, Iranian police have responded with tear gas and batons. In a grisly spectacle, The Washington Post reports several people “fell into recently dug graves and were injured.” As the demonstrations promise to intensify this weekend, at least 20 protesters from June’s uprising are to be tried on such charges as “sending pictures to enemy media” (primarily the cell phone broadcasts of their initial, public beatings).

This mix of legal and physical oppression gives Obama what so few get: a second act – and thus far, he is blowing it. Responding to the brutality at Neda’s grave, the State Department called Iran’s actions “disturbing.” Ho-hum.

What Obama’s hiding and the media are ignoring

This is the mystery behind the unease “out there,” unease the MSM are now simultaneously picking up on even as they try to squelch it. And this is true particularly after CNN’s Lou Dobbs raised the issue in a historically resonant manner: Dobbs trusts that Obama is a natural-born citizen but would like the president to verify his status regardless.

And why not? It is no accident that history and literature are replete with rocky tales of doubtful succession, of the maladjustment brought on by pretenders to thrones. There is something in human nature that yearns for the rightful leader. And there is something in our Constitution that requires it.

So why won’t this president, who, after all, promised the American people an unprecedented level of transparency, reveal his original long-form birth certificate? Unheeded, the “natural born” controversy will roil indefinitely, further fired by the vagaries of Hawaiian law — specifically, Section 338-17.8, titled “Certificates for children born out of State” — which makes state birth documentation available to children born out of state, even born out of the country.

None of this is healthy, not the president’s suspicious secrecy and not the MSM’s protective incuriosity. It almost seems as if someone has something to hide.

  135. rosettasister Says:

Will changing name of document fix problem?

Hawaii officials redefine ‘Certification of Live Birth’

The report described the “slipperiness” in recent statements from both health department director Chiyome Fukino and spokeswoman Janice Okubo.

Fukino issued a statement affirming that the original documents from Obama’s birth are on record, but providing no details. Okubo has stated there are regulations that prevent officials from discussing those records.

Because of that, the investigator said, “it is, I think, also reasonable to regard these steps with suspicion.”

Instead, the forms now are being titled “Certificate of Live Birth,” the report said.

The report said no matter what the piece of paper is called, “this abbreviated document provides none of the probative information that was or wasn’t on Barack Obama’s original Certificate of Live Birth. Unlike the Certificate of Live Birth of the time when Barack Obama was born, this new Certificate of Live Birth provides no real evidence of where a child was born or indication of where such evidence might be found. It provides no information that would demonstrate to the people of the United States whether there is convincing evidence that he was actually born here or whether a relative or two (or possibly even Barack Obama himself) just made a statement to that effect to a low level bureaucrat. (As is permitted under Section 57-40 of the Territorial Public Health Statistics Act in the 1955 Revised Laws of Hawaii.),” the report said.

But such a move is unlikely to finish questions about Obama’s origins, since WND has reported that other documentation not yet publicly disclosed by Obama includes his kindergarten records, Punahou school records, Occidental College records, Columbia University records, Columbia thesis, Harvard Law School records, Harvard Law Review articles, scholarly articles from the University of Chicago, passport, his medical records, files from his years as an Illinois state senator, Illinois State Bar Association records, any baptism records and his adoption records.

Several WND calls and e-mails to Hawaiian officials asking them to confirm the change of title for the document did not generate a response.

“The reaction of many FReepers to the second statement of Doctor Fukino saying that the “vital records” show the birth of Barack Obama to be in Hawaii, is interesting. Many will simply not let go of their Confederate money.”

WHen you have lawyers write your statements, as this gal SO OBVIOUSLY has done, words matter. Saying there are “vital records” that verify something versus his “original birth certificate”, purposely leaves the door open for the following:

    1) Name change

    2) Parental information changes

    3) Adoption papers

    4) Off island birth petition for a HI BC.

    5) Requested and accepted changes to the birth record

    6) Requested and rejected changes to the birth record

Sorry, Fukino is spinning a web. Exactly what she is not telling us is anyone’s guess. But I’ll just about guarantee you that the COLB info does not match the original BC.

I don’t find either of those negative items especially convincing.

I saw the full version of the grandmother’s comments about witnessing Obama’s birth some time ago. My conclusion was that, of course it’s not proof, any more than the shorter version was proof. She might have misremembered, or misspoke, or something of the kind.

But it seems equally probable that she blurted out the truth and then, a bit late, remembered that Obozo’s agents had warned her NEVER TO SPEAK ABOUT Obama’s birth in Kenya.

In support of that, we have a little further evidence. In an early interview with the press, granny said that the whole family was Muslim.

Then last year she was interviewed and said that the whole family was Christian. Then early this year she said she was planning to go on the Haj to Mecca.

What do we make of that? Pretty obviously, the most probable reading of these contradictions is that she told the truth, and then was warned to keep her mouth shut about all those Muslim connections during the campaign, and then was told, OK, you can be a Muslim again now that he has been inaugurated.

There was also some evidence that most of Obama’s remaining family in Kenya was under house arrest last fall, kept away from any contact with the press. (The same with his white granny in Hawaii.)

What about Fukino’s recent statement? Well, what would you do if the Chicago Democrat Machine instructed you to release such a statement?

Would it need a horse’s head in your bed? Or a dead cat on the porch?

Sorry, but I find it hard to believe that she said one thing a year ago and now something rather different now, but pretended that it was just a repetition of the earlier statement.

No, we don’t KNOW that Obama was born in Kenya. But neither do we KNOW that he was born in Hawaii. There are far too many records being kept under wraps. There is a surprising lack of witnesses.

PRESIDENT OBAMA: We are five days away from fundamentally transforming the United States of America.

GLENN: And they cheered, and that is how liberty and freedom ends. The sound of a cheer. Our freedom and liberty is so fragile right now, we should whisper her name because too loud of a voice could shatter it. We have never been more fragile than we are right now, and people don’t see it. They refuse to see it. But a few weeks ago I was on television, and I won’t tell you what episode at this point, but I was on television and I said something on the air and it took my breath away. And when you know what episode, which I will share with you some point later, and you know what I discovered, what clicked finally in my head by accident, it darn near took my breath away, and you can see it once you know. You’re like, whoa, what happened there? I went home and I rushed home to watch it on television. My gosh, could you see me? Do you know which one? Yeah. And it’s when it clicked. And it’s when I knew. It’s when all of the pieces that didn’t make sense suddenly made sense, and I knew what we were facing. What you don’t know is I then went to several people that I really truly respect and I can tr ust, and I asked them to form a research team and, in fact, Stu didn’t even know this until this morning, but I put a research team together that worked for me, and they are people that don’t have an agenda. They just want the truth. And I have asked them to disprove my theory. But it involves transformation, and I hope to be able to come to you with names, dates, events, more than just threads, more than just feelings. But to show, be able to draw up the whole picture for you.

But once that clicked in my head, it was like a bomb went off in my head because I knew what we were truly facing and then I went into the deepest depression I had been in for a while on this because I’m like, you know, the end seemed, from what is it, Gene Wilder in the producers, “No way out, no way out.” That’s the way I felt. “I want my blue blankie. No way out.” And I didn’t know how to answer the one question that everybody asks me: What do I do. I haven’t been able to give you that answer. I’ve been able to give you pieces, et cetera, et cetera. But I will tell you that I’m going to ask you a favor. I’m going to ask for you to ‑‑ you know, I’ve actually read in, you know, blogs: Glenn Beck is trying to build an army. No, I’m not. No, I’m not. But I am going to ask you to volunteer for service. You leave your gun at home but you bring your brain.

I learned something a couple of weeks ago when we got our second dog. There is something about a giant 100‑pound German Shepherd that’s running towards the fence at you when you try to come to my house, it sends a message. But there’s something even more powerful, more than twice as powerful and that is two dogs running towards the fence. I learned this because I was in training with the dogs, and they are canines. They’re police dogs and I need them unfortunately because the world we live in, I need them for protection for the family. And that’s the first line of defense. And as they were going through training there in the side yard, a neighbor was walking their dog and they stopped and they just watched for a second. And they watched as the dog trainer, the dog handler was there all in a giant suit, a dog bite suit and had a little club. It’s kind of a soft club that he kind of irritates the dogs with and then me with the two German Shepherds. And my family was out there and we all we want through it and we do it all the time and make sure that they’re well behaved, and as we sat there and I released the dogs and gave them the command and they went and they ran after this guy and pushed him down to the ground. And they just ‑‑ and they were ready to rip his arm off. I thought, boy, I don’t want to be on the receiving end of that. There’s a healthier fear that comes along. Then he said to me, he said, okay, and he really got him riled up and he’s like, okay, you ready? Okay. And I said, yeah. And he’s menacing. And he walked away about 20 feet and he said ‑‑ and he stood there with a club and he as like, come on, come on! And I released the dogs and he didn’t move. And both the dogs stopped and just stared at him. And I said, what kind of horrible attack dog is that? He said, can you call them off? I said, yeah. I gave them the command and they came back to me. They put their faces up to my leg and I petted them and I’m thinking, bad dog; you’re supposed to bite him. And he said, that’s amazing. He said, your older dog, he said, he hasn’t been through this training in four years. He said, he remembers. And I said, what? He didn’t do anything. And he said, no, yes, he did. I didn’t move. And if I’m not moving, if I’m not threatening, he’s just supposed to watch me and make sure I don’t move until you arrive. That’s when a light bulb went off.

I know what’s going on in our country now and I have a research team that is doing some research on this to be able to present you with the facts. When I have facts, when I have enough, I’m going to come to you. I can lay out the things that there is transformation coming, and I can point you in the direction, but I would like to have more. But I don’t even think it’s necessary now to have more. If you just continue to listen to the program, I will spell it out for you and you’ll see it yourself and you will begin to see it. People are writing me now, they are seeing on television, they say, Glenn, I’m watching your show, I’m listening to your radio show, and I’m seeing it; oh, my gosh, how did I miss it. But I’m going to continue to do that. But I’m going to tell you now I have to remove ‑‑ I feel, I have just had this impression that I need to remove myself from the problem area now. I need to stop looking at the ‑‑ I know what the problem is. I have to stop admiring the problem, and I have to now look for the solutions. And I know what some of the solutions are, and they are coming to me fast and furious right now, and I have never been more hopeful because I think we got them. But I want to do the same thing that I did on the economy. I’ m not going to come to you and just say, “Hey, let’s do this!” This is too serious. It I took me a long time to come up with the answer for the economy and to warn you on the economy. I didn’t come on the first day that I knew the economy was going to fall apart two years ago. I shut my mouth for a while.

The same thing with this. I didn’t go on. I just kept saying to you, there’s something wrong, there’s something wrong, there’s something wrong, this isn’t right. But I took my time and did my research and did my homework. I am going to meet with some of the best people I can find, and I’ve already got them lined up, and I’m going to meet with people from several different fields, and I mean the best of the best. And I am going to find the answers and I am going to bring them to you, but here’s what I need you to do first. I need you to be a constitutional watchdog because we need to stop these people in their tracks, and the one thing I learned is while there is one thing about one watchdog, there’s something more than twice as powerful in two watchdogs. Now imagine with the radio audience and the television audience, imagine ten million watchdogs. I need you in the next couple of days to help me. This is like a 100 front war. He is overwhelming the system. It is right out of the playbook from Saul Alinsky. It is what a community organizer does: Overwhelm the system. That’s why people call me ‑‑ in fact, somebody just called me a little while ago and said, Glenn, how come you didn’t talk about this. I did. I just no longer have the time to stand on one issue because the entire forest is on fire.

But see, here’s the secret: I or Rush or anybody else, they don’t have to do it alone. We don’t need the mainstream media anymore. The paradigm is about to shift. Don’t worry about the media. The media will find themselves in the dustbin of history. We have each other. We currently have all forms of communication available to us. We currently ‑‑ and I don’t know how long this lasts, but we currently have an unrestricted Internet where we can communicate and we can find the answers. You will be amazed on how many answers you can find. You will be amazed on how transparent things really are when you just know what to look for.

I need you to help me define what the fronts are. What are the lines that they are moving in and pushing on. For instance, healthcare cannot be passed. No form of universal healthcare. Because it is not about the healthcare. It is about the structure, and I will outline this in the next few days. Structure is what matters. Nothing else matters. Structure is what matters. We need to watch the czars. We need to watch cap and trade, structure on cap and trade. We need to watch ‑‑ quite honestly we need to guard, as much as I hate every member of congress, we need to guard congress because the executive branch is devouring all other branches. They are devouring it, and the people in congress are so stupid, so insipid or so in on the game, they are going to find themselves irrelevant wildly fast. We must guard all three branches of government. It is a shell game. It is a transformation. And what I said to you over a year ago, you will wake up someday and your country will not be the same. It’s happening, and it’s happening right now. But one person can’t watch it all. No media source can even do it. I have ‑‑ it’s Sophie’s Choice every day. I come in and I don’t know what to talk about because I’ve got so much to talk about. I can’t cover it all. I can’t do it all justice. Don’t worry about it. You just make sure they don’t move. You just pin them and make sure they don’t move. That’s all that has ‑‑ there needs to be wrenches in the gears of this government. I have never been for a “Do nothing” congress. I mean, I like it when they do nothing. It’s much better when they’re doing nothing than something. But I have never been ‑‑ I’ve always hated the obstructionists. I’ve always hated the parties who were like, “Yeah, well, now they’re just going to thwart everything.” And they do. The Republicans do it and the Democrats do it. It’s time for the people to do it. Stop the machinery of this government because they are building something, and you do not want to have that unveiled. Believe me, you do not want that unveiled. Stop the machinery of government. Watch them on ‑‑ and here’s the great thing. You don’t have to watch them on all fronts. There are 10 million listeners. Pick the thing that interests you. Are you into guns? Are you into healthcare? Do you know it? Do you feel it? Do you watch something on TV and say, “I know this, I know what they’re doing!” Follow it! Don’t pay attention to all of it. You’ll get lost. That’s what they want us to do. So don’t follow all of it. Follow the thing that your gut says “This is important and I understand this and I get this.” Just follow that one thing and alert me. We will put the gears into at least neutral. Eventually we will jam that back into reverse. And if we don’t, we’ll strip all the damn gears because it will be time to get out of the car and rebuild it the American way. So I ask you, will you be a constitutional watchdog. The time has come to bark and to bark loudly. Understand what this means. What this means is you may be called a racist, a homophobe, a hate monger, you want to starve children. Whatever it is, whatever your category is, they will find a way to ridicule you because that’s what Saul Alinsky taught them to do: Have no fear. No fear no more! Stand up! You know the truth. Stand for the truth because only the truth will set us free.

May I ask what you found strange about Roy Masters?

Of course you may. I do try and address any comments meant for me. I just don’t always see them.

I have a tendency to go off on a tangent and then I can’t find my way back! hehe

I haven’t watched the video I posted above, so I can’t really comment on it.

But I wouldn’t have posted it in the first place if I hadn’t already found him to be utterly fascinating.

One of the local radio stations used to carry him in the middle of the night.

Sometimes I would have trouble sleeping so I would listen.

There were times when he would make a statement that was so utterly profound and that I absolutely agreed with.

Then there were other times, the way he spoke of women, especially about his wife, that really turned me off.

It was disrespectful and probably goes back to his belief system about Adam and Eve and the Fall.

And I could be remembering this wrong, but some of his remarks about gays and lesbians were equally dismissive.

I’ve been around enough homosexuals to conclude that they exist and we must find a way to coexist and to tolerate one another.

    To love one another.

So Mr. Masters is indeed a powerful figure. But, no, I don’t think he’s got everything right.

I’ll tell ya what JB….I will contact Glenn Beck ONE MORE TIME and give him ONE MORE CHANCE….He says he wants an army of constitutional watchdogs….Fine!!!….My letter to him will be a long one like Lou Dobbs recieved….I will demand a personal response from him….If he is so hell bent on protecting the constitution then his ass had better start with the fact that Obama is constitutionally ineligible to hold the office of prez…If he isn’t willing to make a stand then I see no reason to stand with him…I have given him several chances, but I will give him one more…I usually don’t do that.

  167. Tenacity Says:

Yes on Jenner6 (she’s no 7), the crybaby responding to Gunslinger.

Uniting…we only need somewhere between 5 and 10% of the adult population and I believe we are close to that now. We need to be loud but peaceful…but prepared. If Judge Carter or Simandle don’t live up to their oaths of office, then we formulate the government boycot plan via the Continental Congress. In the meantime, we need to form Citizen’s Homeland Security Associations in our local precincts until we are able to revitalize our well-regulated state militia (See the book “Constitutional Homeland Security” by Dr. Edwin Vieira). Chalice, Swensson, Ellis, Donaldson and others are in D.C. this week serving GJ presentments, the WTPF petitions of redress for the 7 or more constitutional grievances, plus 3 or more new military charges of treason. They are serving them on everybody…Executive, Legislative and Judiciary. I believe they are filing a new motion to reconsider on Simandle for Kerchner as well. Then 9/12 and then the CC 2009 (Nov 9th). If things don’t come completely unglued before that, we should be postured to employ the well thought out sanctions proclaimed by the delegates from all 50 states at CC 2009 to force redress. Hopefully, not less that 10% of the nation will “Turn Off The Power” to the District of Criminals via that unified plan. That’s the game plan folks. Be prepared for whatever happens each step of the way. Keep showing up at Town Hall meetings and Tea Parties. Elections for CC2009 delegates will take place on October 10th. Please consider nominating yourself or someone good to be a delegate for the Continental Congress 2009. Also, we need folks to volunteer to help coordinate and man the voting/polling places on October 10th. Check with your local State Coordinator of We The People Congress and get instructions on volunteering or

Ten, those are some powerful coordinated efforts and I pray that they work, because we are running out of time, and I mean FAST!!!….Be VERY alert in the months of Sept. and Oct….If we can make through the end of this year without seeing martial law declared then I will breathe a huge sigh of relief, because it will mean that we have their asses scared and they should be.

I was thinking about contacting Beck personally (off the record) and seeing if he is serious. We have solutions. I’m not saying there are some things we haven’t thought of, but we’ve got a pretty good game plan starting with honest money (Power of the Purse and Power of the sword). I would like to know more about what his investigators are after. Are they looking for what we already know or specifics about the S/Ob-Alinsky strategy? We might be able to help, but I would like to make that a 2 way street.

  170. Troy Says:

or specifics about the S/Ob-Alinsky strategy?
they have uncovered some big specifics and he is on this very minute talking about them.

  171. sdee Says:

yeah – i am watching Beck was not sure if it was a rerun. or not.

He is starting to connect ACORN, SEIU and some other organizations in a coordinated Cloward-Piven play to overwhelm all government systems. Even mentioned it having a citizen army waitng in the wings.

The other day he drew Obama at the top of an Apollo coordinated play using energy taxation and other green initiatives.

That’s exactly my thinking too, Troy. If he wants to lead and encourage CWD’s (constitutional watch dogs) then he can’t just blow the issue off like it’s a settled matter.

Is he job scared? Our founding father’s pledged their wealth and I will gladly send him a few bucks each month (while it’s still available to send) if he were to lose his job for reporting the WHOLE truth. I would bet other “watch dogs” would too.

I think I’ll send off a little note to Beck too, to back you up. Hope others here will too.

    BTW, happy belated B-day 🙂

And Katey, I’m glad your news is good concerning your Dad!
