Golden Lady,%20Diane%20Dunham.htm

Looking in your eyes
Kind of heaven eyes
Closing both my eyes
Waiting for surprise
To see the heaven in your eyes is not so far
Cause Im not afraid to try and go it
To know the love and the beauty

never known before
Ill leave it up to you to show it

And golden lady, golden lady
Id like to go there
Golden lady, golden lady
Id like to go there
Take me right away

Looking at your hands
Hands can understand
Waiting for the chance
Just to hold your hand

A touch of rain and sunshine made the flower grow
Into a lovely smile thats blooming
And its so clear to me that youre a dream come true
Theres no way that Ill be losing

And golden lady, golden lady
Id like to go there
Golden lady, golden lady
Id like to go there
Take me right away

A touch of rain and sunshine made the flower grow
Into a lovely smile thats blooming
And its so clear to me that your my dream come true
There is no way that Ill be losing

Golden lady, golden lady
Id like to go there
Golden lady, golden lady
Id like to go there
Repeat and fade

Letter to Lou Dobbs from Troy

    Dear Mr. Dobbs,

The birth certificate issue, or lack thereof, in regards to Barack Obama’s eligibility to hold office is a “red herring”. I will speak more about this later on within this letter.

I am furnishing you with IRREFUTABLE PROOF that Barack Obama is not now, nor has he ever been and cannot ever be a “natural born citizen” of the United States and therefore is constitutionally ineligible to hold the office of President. I will include all necessary research data links for you.

Article II, Section I, Clause V of the U.S. Constitution:

    Qualifications for office:

No person except a natural born Citizen, or a Citizen of the United States, at the time of the Adoption of this Constitution, shall be eligible to the Office of President; neither shall any Person be eligible to that Office who shall not have attained to the Age of thirty-five Years, and been fourteen Years a Resident within the United States.

( or a Citizen of the United States, at the time of the Adoption of this Constitution ) This clause was added because at the time of the adoption of the constitution, THERE WERE NO NATURAL BORN CITIZENS old enough to be president. They were merely naturalized citizens. They had no choice, but to “grandfather” themselves in. It is clear that their intentions for eligibility of future presidents would require that one be a natural born citizen. They did this as a safeguard to prevent an individual with divided loyalties or allegiances from entering the office of president. They did this to prevent someone who doesn’t have our country’s best interest at heart from assuming the role of Commander in Chief, such as the situation we currently find ourselves in.

Some will say that the term “natural born citizen” has never before been properly defined. That simply is not true, as it has been defined quite well. The founding fathers and framers of the U.S. Constitution, as did almost all nations, used the writings of Vattel’s “Law of Nations” as a guide in adopting and writing their laws.
    Vattel here:
Read what one of our founding fathers, Benjamin Franklin, wrote in regards to Vattel’s writings. It is the first post on the page,

Vattel used the term “natural born citizen”, which is used only one time in the U.S. Constitution for the purpose of presidential eligibility, and he defined it as “those born in the country, of parents who are citizens.” That is parents, plural, as in two or both.

The “Law of Nations” was used by John Jay, who later went on to become the first Chief Justice of the U.S. Supreme Court. Jay had the clause inserted into the Constitution via a letter that he wrote to George Washington, the leader of the Constitutional Convention. Jay was considered to be the outstanding legal scholar of his time. He was also considered to be the architect of the U.S. Constitution. He was the one who was responsible for inserting the term natural born citizen, which was derived from the Law of Nations, into the U. S. Constitution.

John Jay wrote: “Permit me to hint, whether it would be wise and reasonable to provide a strong check to the admission of Foreigners into the administration of our national Government; and to declare expressly that the Commander in Chief of the American army shall not be given to nor devolve on, any but a natural born Citizen.”
The document is here; begin reading at the second paragraph. Click on the image to enlarge,

John Armor Bingham was a Republican congressman from Ohio, America, judge advocate in the trial of the Abraham Lincoln assassination and a prosecutor in the impeachment trials of Andrew Johnson. He is also the principal framer and architect of the Fourteenth Amendment to the United States Constitution.
John Bingham confirms the understanding that the framers used in regards to birthright and jurisdiction while speaking on civil rights of citizens in the House on March 9, 1866: {{quote} I find no fault with the introductory clause [S 61 Bill], which is simply declaratory of what is written in the Constitution, that “every human being born within the jurisdiction of the United States of parents not owing allegiance to any foreign sovereignty is”, in the language of your Constitution itself, “a natural born citizen”….}} Obama had one U.S. citizen parent and his other parent owed allegiance the British Crown.
Look under the heading “Later life” about two thirds of the way down the page,

As recently as last year, 2008, our own government officials, through Senate Resolution 511, also agreed that one of the requirements to be a natural born citizen was to be, someone born to two U.S. citizen parents.

Notice, that in Senate Resolution 511, it refers to the First Congress as a source for determining that Senator John McCain should be deemed a natural born citizen. In that First Congress document it also states that citizen PARENTS (plural) are a requirement for natural born citizen status. Of course that is a problem for Barack Obama, but there may be another problem for him in other wording contained within this document. Here is a direct quote; “And the children of citizens of the United States, that may be born beyond sea, or out of the limits of the United States, shall be considered as natural born citizens: Provided, That the right of citizenship shall not descend to persons whose fathers have never been resident in the United States.” Uh, Oh!!! Obama was one of the co-signers of SR 511. Is being in the U.S. on a temporary student visa, as was Barack Obama Sr., considered as being resident? Hmmm??? We will probably never know.
Look within the [104] marker and about two thirds of the way down through the paragraph.

They made this assertion in an effort to establish that Senator John McCain was a natural born citizen, since his citizenship status was being challenged.
    Here: http://naturalborncitiz en.wor

I don’t think Senate Resolution 511 holds much legal weight due to the fact that the U.S. Supreme Court is the only true and final authoritative rule on matters of wording and interpretation of the constitution. It does at least exhibit the fact that they all agreed that being born to two U.S. citizen parents was one of the requirements in being a natural born citizen. Notice that in all the wording of Senate Resolution 511 and statements made from witnesses, Senator Leahy and Secretary Cherthoff, that they say “citizen parents”, (plural) as in two or both parents.

Barack Obama clearly and openly admitted on his own, “Fight the Smears”, web site that when he was born his father, Barack Obama Sr., was a citizen of Kenya. Click on the image to enlarge,
Note: Barack Obama’s “Fight the Smears” web site, as well as almost all web sites that ever contained anything that would expose Obama, has been scrubbed, hence the “screen grab” links.

Kenya, at that time, was a British Colony and Obama Jr.’s citizenship status fell under the “British Nationality Act of 1948”.
Barack Obama was born to one U.S. citizen (mother) and one British subject (father) and at the time of his birth held dual citizenships of Great Britain and the U.S. A natural born citizen cannot, under any circumstances, be born with or have dual citizenship and owe any allegiance to any foreign nation. Obama has also admitted on his “Fight the Smears” web site that his citizenship status, at the time of his birth and due to his father’s nationality, fell under the jurisdiction of the nation of Great Britain. That is a problem for Barack Obama and there is no denying this irrefutable fact.
    Again here:

The term natural born citizen has already been previously determined and ruled on by the Supreme Court of the United States in the case of Marbury vs. Madison in 1803. A precedent has been established by the Supreme Court. There is no getting around this.
Begin reading here at about the 18th paragraph where this, ” POINT II: UNITED STATES LAW INCLUDES” is highlighted in blue.
There are several other court cases in which natural born citizenship has been addressed and not a single one of them support Obama’s assertion that he is a natural born citizen. NOT ONE!!!!
    Some are listed here:

I have NOT intentionally omitted any reference to any court case that would weigh favorably towards Obama’s eligibility plight. I have not been able to find any and to my knowledge, they simply do not exist. Not a single case. NONE!!!

Obama’s supporters will make up all sorts of lies to credit him. They will and have said things like, “The Supreme Court has already ruled that Barack Obama is a natural born citizen and that he is eligible”. Its complete hogwash!!! To present date, not one single law suit that has been filed against Obama has ever been heard on it’s merits by a judge. Almost every single case has been refused on the grounds of “standing”, meaning that “we the people” have no right to question Obama. Its absolutely absurd, isn’t it?

Some, even Barack Obama himself, will try to say that the Fourteenth Amendment confirms his eligibility. This also is simply not true. The 14th amendment NEVER mentions natural born citizenship in it anywhere or in any form or fashion. Also you may have noticed, in the the link that I posted above, that the case of Marbury vs. Madison strikes down that notion.
More on the 14th Amendment problem for Barack Obama.

There are different classifications of citizenship, such as U.S. citizen and naturalized citizen, both of which are referred to in the 14th Amendment, and then there is natural born citizen. There is a difference and when the defenders of Barack Obama try to make their arguments they will continually throw out the words “U.S. Citizen” or “Native born”, but they will never use the term “natural born citizen”. They will avoid it like the plague. Don’t let them get away with it. Always remember that when the issue is being debated and references are being thrown your way in regards to Obama’s “citizenship”, stop them in their tracks and make them show you where their references to Obama’s “natural born citizenship” can be found. They will become extremely flustered and may possibly even try to recite some law or passage, but it will never contain the phrase, natural born citizen. If it does, it would simply mean that they hammered a nail in their own coffin, because as I have already proven here, a natural born citizen is required to have been born of (1) TWO U.S. CITIZEN PARENTS, (2) ON U.S. SOIL, and (3) cannot fall under the jurisdiction of or owe any allegiance to any foreign nation. While #1 and #3 go hand in hand, all three of these are required and all three DO matter . Barack Obama absolutely lacks #1 and #3 and possibly #2 We will get back to #2 a little later in this letter.

I could go on and on and on with more documented references to the definition and determination of the natural born citizen clause within the constitution, but I think by now that I have made my case and you are well informed. Just incase you want to see more facts, I will add an additional link to some more excellent references.

I would also like to add that the guest on your radio show, that was touted as the foremost authority on citizenship, misinformed you and your listeners. On second thought, I will rephrase that; He flat out lied to you!!!
    You can listen here:

Recap video of the greatest hoax ever to be perpetrated on the Citizens of the United States.
It can’t be told anymore clearer than that.

Congratulations!!! How does it feel to be a Birther?

Now Back To The Matter of The Birth Certificate

As I said earlier, I believe that the birth certificate issue is a “red herring” designed to distract people from the real problem of Obama’s birth status. I have absolutely no doubt that when the time is right, Usurper Obama WILL produce a “long form” birth certificate, whether it be authentic or the best forgery that money can buy, showing him to have been born in Hawaii. I think that anyone with at least half a brain can see this coming.

However, there does seem to be something that he is trying to hide in regards to his original birth certificate. No one spends around a million dollars to keep from having to show a $12 .50 document. There is a distinct possibility that he was born in Kenya. We just don’t know.

There are signed affidavits that originate from an interview with Obama’s grandmother, Sarah, in which she stated that she was present in the hospital room in Mombassa, Kenya where Barack was born.
I believe that Attorney Phillip Berg, who has had or has several court cases challenging Obama’s eligibility, posses the affidavits, as well as the original audio tape of the phone conversation to Kenya.
    Mr. Berg video is here:
Mr. Berg’s web site is here:

There is also audio of an interview between a Chicago radio program and a Kenyan Ambassador in which the Ambassador also stated that Obama was born in Kenya.

There have been headlines and articles from African print media which also state that Obama was born in Kenya. Is any of it true? I don’t know, but he is going to extreme lengths to hide something, thats for sure.
This image was from web site in 2008:
This from; read the fourth paragraph:
    Again here, from

Possibly his VERY FIRST act as president / usurper was to sign an executive order into law (unlawful; a usurper can’t sign an executive order) that exempts him from having to disclose any personal documents, whatsoever. Wow!!! Who does that? Why was it the first order of business? Why so urgent?

Earlier, I mentioned the possibility of a forged long form birth certificate being put forward. The reason that I would ever think that could be possible is that there is evidence that forgery of other documents may have already taken place. The online “Certification of Live Birth” / “short form” has MANY hallmarks of a tampered with or fabricated document.

His Selective Service Registration Form / document for the military draft has some very alarming signs of tampering or outright fabrications also.

Unless he really was born in Kenya, which we simply do not know, the fact is that absolutely none of this matters. He was born with dual nationalities / citizenship and to one U.S. citizen parent. Ineligible!!!

There are still other problems yet. It would seem that Obama was adopted by his stepfather, Lolo Soetoro, and lived in Indonesia where he went to school and had to relinquish his U.S. citizenship. This was required by the government to be able to enter into school. Indonesia did not allow for dual citizenship. When did he relinquish his Indonesian citizenship and reaffirm his U.S. citizenship? There should be documentation of that. While there, Barack Obama’s legal name was changed to Barry Soetoro. When did he LEGALLY change his name back to Barack Obama? There should be documentation of that too. Did he fraudulently run for office on an alias name rather than on his legal name?

Obama stated in his memoirs that he traveled to Pakistan in 1981 via Indonesia where he stopped first to visit his mother. In 1981 Pakistan was under martial law and was on the U.S. government’s list of restricted countries for travel. Few U.S. passports were issued to civilians. How did he manage that? Did he acquire an Indonesian passport while visiting his mother there? How can an American get an Indonesian passport? They can’t, but an Indonesian citizen can.

While all of these secondary issues DO matter and should be resolved, they can all be set aside and put on the back burner for now, because no matter if he was born in Hawaii or if he was born in the oval office, he is not now, nor can he ever be a natural born citizen as defined by the sources that I have provided for you here.

Barack Obama is ineligible to hold the office of President of the United States.

    Barack Obama is a USURPER!!!

    Case Closed.

    Natural Born Citizen, Troy

Dr. Orly Taitz is a national treasure. She is a naturalized U.S. citizen and formerly from Russia. She has seen firsthand and lived through the nightmare of Socialism. That is why she is fighting so hard to defend our constitution. She is a true patriot and while I admire her courage and very much appreciate her efforts, she doesn’t always articulate her facts as well as some others may. Instead of just interviewing Dr. Taitz, I implore you to also contact Attorney Mario Apuzzo and interview him as well. His contact information is posted on his web site.
Mr. Apuzzo’s web site is here:

Mr. Apuzzo, on behalf of plaintiff, Mr. Kerchner, is also currently in the middle of a very high profile law suit in challenging the eligibility of Barack Obama.

Here is one of a series of educational ads that are being ran in the Washington Times National Weekly by Mr. Kerchner, Mr. Apuzzo’s plaintiff in Kerchner vs. Obama & Congress. This particular ad is being ran on July 20th, 2009 on page nine.

Controls, to zoom in and out, are at the bottom of the pdf. page here: al-Advertorial-in-20090720-Issue-Wash-Time s-Natl-Wkly-pg-9
Mr. Apuzzo will be able to, very eloquently, verify everything that I have laid out for you here. You and your radio listeners or television viewers would come away from the interview with a precise and clear understanding of the facts surrounding this issue of Obama’s ineligibility.

By the way, I was absolutely appalled and disgusted by the well planned, finely timed and executed, intentional hatchet job that Kitty Pilgrim performed in your absence, for the CNN interview of Dr. Taitz and Alan Keyes. She had a condescending smirk on her face before the interview ever even got underway and it was obvious that she enjoyed every last second of that “hit job”. Until then, I had always liked Ms. Pilgrim whenever she would fill in for you. Now, as far as I’m concerned, she deserves to go by the way of Susan Roesgen, Fired!!! It was inexcusable.

  8. Troy Says:

Well, one big mistake I found that I need to correct is that the link to the “screen grab” is not Obama’s “Fight the Smears” site….It is actually, which is even better since that is the one that the Obots proclaim as their Ten Commandments.

I also have one “dead” link because it has an unwanted gap / space in the URL / Address.

You’ve just handed Dobbs hundreds and hundreds of hours of research wrapped up with a bow – the kind of work once practiced by a now extinct species known as investigative reporters.

I hope he reads it and is smart enough to realize he could be the one to lay out this issue with plain simple points. He could sweep the ratings while standing up as the only MSM reporter deserving of the Constitutional protection afforded him.

Excellent letter Troy. It would be novel if someone like Lou Dobbs actually followed up on the information you provided and did a report on this. The big guns at CNN won’t allow it. Lou the patriot will be tested if he wants to prove he really does love his country. SOMEONE needs to step forward and crack open this fraud perpetrated upon our nation. We need more Americans like you Troy. BIG HIGH 5!

  17. Troy Says:

Awww…Thanks Magus….I am trying to goad Dobbs into making a stand by appealing to his sense of wright and wrong and patriotism….The time is upon us for every citizen to stand and be counted, no matter who they are…Dobbs just happens to be a CNN anchor, but he is still a citizen.

  18. CJ Says:

Super job Troy. I sure hope he reads it. Why not send a similar one to Glenn Beck and Rush? Rush has mentioned the issue of eligibility in passing. Not sure why he hasn’t gone further with it and can’t imagine with his staff that he doesn’t have these facts already. I have found that particularly puzzling. Why not send it to Sarah Palin also? She may be willing to look into it. I am very impressed with what you put together. Any thought to including something referenced to Dr. Edwin Viera(sp?). Maybe Ten could help there.

Well it does not look like the “grandmother” in the only picture I could find with Obama in it.

But what seemed odd to me is she relates the same “fear on the sidewalk” story Obama used in his race speech.

It resembled North Korean TV during one of it’s worst days. A modest proposal to liberals and multiculturalists of all persuasions:

It’s established that many people from Latin America, Asia, and Africa seem to feel a need to live among European or European-descended people. For whatever reason, they seem to feel drawn as if by magnets to come to live in the Western, first-world, historically White countries.

On what basis do I claim that? Because they are in fact coming by the millions and tens of millions to European-settled Western countries. They do this at the risk of their lives. So it’s evidently important to them.

Likewise, liberal Whites in Western countries have a similar desire to live amongst Third World peoples, hence their near-pathological obsession with ”diversity” and ”integration” and ”multiculturalism”, which are a kind of mass mania in our time.

Here’s my modest proposal: all liberals and proponents of ”diversity” should, as an act of kindness, go to the Third World to live, posthaste. It’s the humane thing to do. It’s the right thing to do. It’s the consistent thing to do; if not, then all the talk of ”one world” and ”integration” is an empty sham.

Diversity, being the wonderful blessing and enrichment that liberals say it is, is sadly lacking in Africa, Asia, and Latin America. And since the proximity to White people seems to be a desperate need for the people there, White multiculturalist devotees should put their money where their mouths are and go to serve the people in those countries in their homelands. Deliver diversity to them; don’t force the impoverished masses to travel across the planet in search of your company and the blessings you can share with them; go to them. You have the money and the means to travel, yet the impoverished third-worlders have to buy plane tickets to come and be with you. Is that fair? It’s downright discriminatory and heartless. In fact, it might just be racist.

If the idea of ”one world” is to be realized, the West has got to do its part; so far, we’ve forced the ”wretched of the earth” to risk life and limb to come and enrich us; time to share the responsibility for creating a new united world, with one race, the human race.

It isn’t going to get done unless White liberals do their part, and become pro-active.

White liberals should welcome the idea; after all, they love everything that is exotic, primitive, and primal. Liberals: escape from boring old America, which is full of fascists, rednecks with guns, and fundamentalist Bible thumpers who want to force Jack Chick tracts on you. Imagine a country without them. You know you would love it.

Isn’t it hateful, in a way, to insist on remaining in what is still (for now) a mostly White West, instead of going where you are desperately needed to bring diversity to the rest of the planet? Stop the hate; emigrate!

And if you went native once you have moved to your new home, think of how you are reducing your carbon footprint. Then you need no longer have to feel guilt over what you are doing to Mother Gaia by driving a car or using too much energy. Stop global warming, liberals; move en masse to the primitive part of the world and live close to Mother Nature. It’s the best thing you can do to save the planet.

Another idea: find a deserted island somewhere and start a utopian commune, and be sure to make it diverse, with every race, color, religion and sexual preference included. Voila, paradise. Live your ideals; otherwise it’s all just empty talk. Never mind that it’s been tried before, unsuccessfully. Determined liberals never let such things stop them from trying again.

I propose a 21st century version of the Colonization Society which funded the populating of Liberia by emancipated slaves, except that this time, White liberals will be going to bring the blessings of diversity. Perhaps some patriotic philanthropists would contribute funds for this enterprise. It would be a wonderful exercise in goodwill.

Think of it: you could make many people happy by emigrating: your new friends in the Third World, as well as the people you leave behind in your home country. The greatest good for the greatest number. It’s the altruistic thing to do, the compassionate and caring thing to do.

We pay the bills and buy the movie tickets and fund the education system here. If we all leave or let them win, then their little ideologies fall apart. Oh dear what a problem that would be. Guess what, if they keep taxing and spending and forcing America to be politically correct all the time, they will find their personal hell. No one to support them and their lala land lifestyle. I almost would like to hear the gnashing and wailing that would occur amongst these “beautiful all knowing ones” if we sat back and let the inevitable happen. Almost. I love my country too much to let it happen though if I can at all help stop it. They are all loons imo.

    President Prepares Army of Bloggers
Posted by Gerald Merits in General Politics, tags: blog, bloggers, Congress, health care, healthcare, house of representatives, huffington post, liberals, mayo clinic, michelle malkin, Obama, senate, socialism, white house
From the Huff and Puff post:

In a reflection of a legislative strategy that has left no stone unturned, President Barack Obama on Monday called on like-minded bloggers to help his administration keep the heat on lawmakers to pass health care reform.

“It is important just to keep the pressure on members of Congress because what happens is there is a default position of inertia here in Washington,” the president said during an invitation-only conference call. “And pushing against that, making sure that people feel that the desperation that ordinary families are feeling all across the country, every single day, when they are worrying about whether they can pay their premiums or not… People have to feel that in a visceral way. And you guys can help deliver that better than just about anybody.”

In a roughly 25-minute session with a handful of prominent progressive bloggers, the president also asked for help combating disinformation about his health care plan.

“I know the blogs are best at debunking myths that can slip through a lot of the traditional media outlets,” he said. “And that is why you are going to play such an important role in our success in the weeks to come.”

The call demonstrates just how heated the health care debate has become in recent weeks and how much ammunition the administration is willing to bring to the table. At various points in the call, the president offered a strikingly detailed synopsis of his political strategy and health care policy as a whole.

Disinformation? Hey Obama, reality check time. Us rednecks out here know the origination of disinformation – your mouth. You think a bunch of bloggers are going to convince the American people that your stimulus plan worked? How’s that economy recovering for ya? Unemployment, what unemployment? You saved us jobs, and we really, really thank you for it. Earth to Obama – we’re not as stupid as you think we are. I think the CBO helped blow your cover. Damn, truth can sure be irritating to a liberal.

You lost the trust of many who voted for you. And many in your party know the realities of your public-option health care bill. Go ahead, dig yourself a deeper hole, and if you want to hand out shovels to a bunch of sheep to help you, be my guest.

By the way, two can play that game. Calling all right wing spreaders of truth! Let your voice be heard and defend our country against King Obama and the Liberalites! Light up the phone lines and send those emails to your Representatives and Senators. Should I have capitalized all the above? I know the exclamation points are a bit lefty blogger-like, but I notice they like to capitalize everything, and I strongly desire to be just like them. I just have to get good at that disinformation stuff and empty my brain of coherent thoughts.

Looks like Obama let one of those pesky truths out. Michelle Malkin – Barack Obama speaks the truth! Update: Mayo not okay-o with Obamacare:

Team Obama’s gaffetastic moments are their most honest ones. Here is the president warning that the government health care take over will create “inefficiencies.”

You don’t say! Tell me it isn’t so. Thanks Obama, none of us Neanderthals out here in the real world have figured that one out without your gracious assistance. We were just too busy clinging to our bibles.

US lawmakers urge Obama to prepare new Iran sanctions

A group of bipartisan US lawmakers on Monday introduced a measure that urges President Barack Obama to impose tough new economic sanctions on Iran, in the event that Tehran fails to take tangible steps to abandon its nuclear ambitions by late 2009.

The measure, which was introduced by Republican Senators John McCain and Jon Kyl, Independent Senator Joe Lieberman, and Democratic Senator Evan Bayh, specifically urges sanctions against the Central Bank of Iran, which they described as the “keystone of Iran’s financial system.”

McCain said that the Islamic Republic had “gotten away with too much for too long.”

“This amendment demonstrates that the regime must decide to change course, soon, or face severe sanctions for its continued defiance of the international community,” he added.

Obama has said that he wants a diplomatic solution to the Iranian nuclear row, but has warned that major powers will not allow Iran to develop nuclear weapons.

    Obama and the CPUSA
    Randall Hoven
I encourage you to read the latest words from Sam Webb, National Chair of the Communist Party USA. As is the wont of communists, Mr. Webb is rather long-winded; I provide only a few interesting excerpts. All emphases added by me.

“Six months into the Obama presidency, I would say without hesitation that the landscape, atmosphere, conversation, and agenda have strikingly changed compared to the previous eight years.

“In this legislative session, we can envision winning a Medicare-like public option and then going further in the years ahead.

“We can visualize passing tough regulatory reforms on the financial industry, which brought the economy to ruin.

“…In the current political climate, the expansion of union rights becomes a real possibility.

“Much the same can be said about winning a second stimulus bill, and we sure need one, given the still-rising rate, and likely long term persistence, of unemployment.

“Isn’t it possible in the Obama era to create millions of green jobs in manufacturing and other sectors of the economy in tandem with an attack on global warming?

“…The new conditions of struggle are possible only – and I want to emphasize only – because we elected President Obama and a Congress with pronounced progressive and center currents.

“Yes, socialism is our objective and, according to recent public opinion polls, it is increasingly attractive to the American people. But clearly it is not on the immediate political agenda.

“…As for our radicalism, we should be as radical as reality itself. And reality strongly suggests that our main task is to bring the weight of the working class and other democratic forces to bear on the reform process with the aim of deepening its anti-corporate content and direction.

“…Let’s be aware that he [Obama] has to keep a coalition together for his long-term as well as immediate legislative agenda. Let’s give President Obama some space to change and to respond to pressures from below.

“…The Right Wing, the American Medical Association, the pharmaceutical and insurance companies have drawn a line in the sand on health care.

“…The core of this struggle, whether we like it or not, turns on the inclusion of a public option in a health care bill.

“…Months ago it was said that the downturn could be “L-shaped” rather than “V-shaped.” In other words, the crisis begins with a steep decline in economic activity followed by long period of economic stagnation.

“I suspect that this is what will happen, thus making sustained government and people’s intervention an imperative. In my view this should take at least three forms:

“First, more economic stimulus: the economy is underperforming and nearly 30 million workers are unemployed or underemployed and that number hasn’t peaked yet.

“Second, restructuring is imperative. The old economic model that rested on bubble economics, cheap labor, financial manipulation and speculation, deregulation, capital outsourcing, environmental degradation, and so forth, has to be replaced by a new model that expands and restructures the productive base and is “people and nature” friendly.

“Finally, the economy has to be democratized. The wizards of Wall Street and inside the Beltway failed miserably, in fact, so miserably those economic decisions that affect the welfare of millions shouldn’t rest in their hands.

“…In the meantime, the struggle for immediate public sector jobs and relief should command our attention.

“…President Obama … has expressed a readiness to engage with countries that during the Bush years were considered mortal enemies – Iran, Cuba, Venezuela, North Korea, and others.

“…In Iraq, the U.S. withdrawal plan is proceeding, with the first stage being withdrawal from Iraqi cities by July. President Obama has reiterated his intention to stick with the pullout deadlines. Even with the caveats about what U.S. forces might remain, this is a major victory for the peace movement.”

If not already painfully obvious to you, let me point out a few things:

    (1) Obama’s policy agenda and that of the CPUSA are in perfect alignment: more stimuli; green jobs; global warming; public sector jobs; more regulation and, in fact, restructuring of the entire economy; eventual single-payer health care, with the public option being critical to any immediate plan; union-friendly legislation; cutting defense spending; engaging and normalizing relations with the US’s mortal enemies like Hugo Chavez, the Castro brothers and the reigning mullah’s of Iran; claiming victory in Iraq as their own.

    (2) Obama’s political approach is also in perfect harmony with that of the CPUSA’s. The method is gradualism. Overall, Obama is doing pretty well at achieving CPUSA’s goals under the current political circumstances. The Left should not expect immediate and radical changes. And of all things, the Left should not “define the current struggle as one that arrays the people against President Obama. That’s not Marxism; it’s plain stupid.”

    (3) Mr. Webb expects a lousy economy to continue. Specifically, he expects the “L-shaped” recovery. But this “long period of economic stagnation” will be an excuse for continued government intervention. As Lenin supposedly said, “the worse the better.”

    (4) Socialism is the objective.

In my view, this duck has a bill, webbed feet and feathers; quacks, walks, flies and swims; and has DNA that matches that of a duck. I’m willing to call it a duck.

The really striking thing about all this, though, is that the CPUSA can openly align itself with the President of the US, right under our noses, and it will have zero effect on public sentiment because the lapdog media studiously averts its gaze.

Kremlin reports on the extraordinary meeting held today between President Medvedev and former United States Secretaries of State Henry Kissinger (under Nixon), James Baker (under Bush Sr.), Charles Shultz (under Regan), former United States Defense Secretary William Perry (under Clinton), and former US Senator and top defense expert Sam Nunn, are stating that the Americans are acknowledging for the first time their acceptance of a New Global Order…
in which they seek to partner with natural resource rich Russia and the oil rich Nations of the Middle East in order to ensure their survival into the 21st Century.

I realize that this was initially back in Mar – do you suppose Obama reiterated those sentiments on his last visit???? See this is the kind of thing that needs to get out to the folks. I wish I could go around with a bullhorn and spread this news. So I guess my loud mouth will just have to suffice telling all I can.

And by the way – do you all remember the video I believe that Troy initially posted and it was all over everywhere where Obama’s handshake was refused?????? Well I saw a clip on Fox last night that showed that very same reception line and he WAS shaking hands. Someone must have remade that scene to look as if they refused handshakes. WND: Barbara Nelson Had No First-Hand Knowledge of the President’s Birth

Submitted by Phil on Tue, Jan 27, 2009

However, Nelson told WND today, “I don’t know in what capacity [West] knew about this particular birth.”

She said the birth and the unusual names arose in a conversation with West, a leader in the development of obstetrics services throughout Hawaii before Obama was born.

However, she said the assumption that West delivered the baby, or that she said that, were just wrong.

“Being one of the leaders in obstetrics in Hawaii, he could have had physical or informational access to all of the obstetrics [on the islands],” she told WND.

The discussion centered on the “peculiarity of a woman named Stanley,” she said.

“I just said tell me something [that has happened],” she said. “And he says Stanley had a baby, and that’s something to write home about.”

He also told her the father was the first African student at the University of Hawaii, “another interesting local thing,” Nelson told WND.

“[West] never said to me, ‘I delivered a baby,’” Nelson said.

When Americans start to realize that the costs they are talking about here, TRILLIONS$$$$$, only relate to the fractional percentage of uninsured dwellers here in the USA, and not the actual cost of ALL THE INHABITANTS (not just citizens), who will eventually be on this dole, it will really hit the fan.

Truly something is wrong with these congresspeople. Their inability to be truthful in any situation is mind blowing.

  129. sdee Says:

Something really stinks with the cancellation of the F22 Raptor. The argument about saving money is a red herring. What is McCain up to in kissing up to Obama and Gates on this one?

The cost to build the Raptors is less than 0.05% of a 4 trillion dollar budget!!!! So why all the grandstanding?

I do not care what “arguments” they have, Why wouldn’t we spend a tiny fraction of our budget’s round off error to maintain production capability of the most superior fighter on the planet?

Could this have something to do with the theatrics?…….

“”Retired Lt. Gen. Michael M. Dunn, chief executive of the Air Force Association, notes that in last year’s conflict in Georgia, the Raptor was the only aircraft in our inventory that could have penetrated the defended airspace and had a chance of surviving.

The F-22 Raptor is also perhaps the only plane that could evade the sophisticated S-300 surface-to-air missile defense system Russia has contracted to sell Iran. Russia’s S-300 system is “one of the most lethal, if not the most lethal, all-altitude area defense” systems, according to the International Strategy and Assessment Service, a Virginia-based think tank.””

They are lying to us again. The stink is bad – Washington needs a complete flush.

Here is some of the latest info from Camelot.
    21 July 2009 – update 2

    • On today’s Whistleblower Radio (the Camelot radio show) we featured Jane Bürgermeister with four other guests: Dr Rebecca Carley, Rebecca Campbell, Elizabeth Book and JoAnne Cremer. A fifth contributor called in, Burk Elder Hale – who can be contacted through his website here.

Elder reported that he had been personally told by a senior biochemist at a leading pharmaceutical company [name of company provided but withheld here to protect the source] that:

“…an aerosoled precursor has been put into the air and almost everyone has breathed it into their lungs. The biochemist states that the vaccines to be administered in the Fall will be ACTIVATED when the constituents come in contact with the aerosoled precursor in the body and will cause a rapid spread of the H1N1 Influenza A virus.
This biochemist is very upset about the matter, to say the least, and is a very reliable source that needs our utmost protection.”

We had been told something very similar by our insider source Henry Deacon, who informed us just a few days ago that chemtrails were now frequently being sprayed at 3-5 am (in the very early morning) with the specific intention to compromise the immune system.

We believe this information is credible and urgently requires further investigation.

Back to the radio show. All the guests except Jane had to suffer appalling audio interference on their phone lines. Some details were very hard to hear. A recording of the show (in case it is any better) will be posted here. These are the details of the guests, all of whom are doing important work:

Jane Bürgermeister : legal action against vaccine manufacturers.

Dr Rebecca Carley : research about the harmful effects of vaccines.

Rebecca Campbell : research on the financial connections between ‘Big Pharma’ and government and other institutions [“Follow the Money” – as in 9/11].

Elizabeth Book : Florida-based grassroots political activist.

JoAnne Cremer : originator of a large and rapidly growing Facebook Group entitled END FORCED VACCINATIONS.

It is all grandstanding to show that how thrifty and responsible they are, taking away attention from TARP, which is pure political pay-back for people supporting his election. Example: the administrators of the San Francisco Bay Salt Marsh Mouse get some $3 M.

Remember how Ted Kennedy coined the phrase “Star War Program” for the defense system. Now, with North Korea’s missiles able to reach Hawaii, you don’t hear the phrase and nobody is making fun of it.

RE: “What is McCain up to in kissing up to….”

According to Michael Savage, conservative talk radio host, McCain’s job was to throw the election to BHO. When I heard this I smiled, thinking typical Savage exaggeration. I am not smiling any more. Just look at the campaign. Thanks for putting up with us Rose 🙂

I stuck by McCain based solely on that often discussed decision he made in the POW camp. Few people have that moral courage.

I began to lose him with his immigration stance.

As a long time Palin watcher, I got behind McCain 100% when he picked her for VP.

I still remember Sarah’s defiant interview after the convention saying even though McCain wrote off Michigan that she and Todd could go up there and win it!

I returned to great mistrust after he left Sarah to the wolves (fortunately it made her stronger).

Okay, I guess we’ll have to agree to disagree.

Believe me I don’t like everything McCain says and sometimes I’m pretty upset with him.

But I would have to say that on most issues I look to him for leadership.

White guilt did play a part in getting Obama elected.

Fortunately, I’ve nothing to feel guilty about and besides, making decisions based on guilt is never a good thing.

And we’re seeing the manifestations of that playing out right now.

I sure hope the American people don’t fall for that if you’re a birther, then you must be a racist line.

A case can be made that it would prove too disruptive for the truth to surface now.

Personally, I’m just tired of being branded a racist and/or a rightwing nutter.

WILL President Obama help the Khomeinist regime regain some of the legitimacy it lost in last month’s rigged presidential election?

Former President Muhammad Khatami raised that question Sunday while meeting with families of some of the 5,000 activists arrested during anti-regime protests.

Khatami, a mid-ranking mullah, was echoing remarks by another former president, Ali-Akbar Hashemi Rafsanjani, who has indicated he won’t recognize President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad’s re-election to a second four-year term.

Ahmadinejad’s first inauguration four years ago was attended by envoys from 87 countries. This time, fewer than half are expected to attend.

Many “historic figures of the revolution” are also likely to stay away, signaling that Ahmadinejad might find it hard to regain enough legitimacy to lead Iran in a time of crisis.

Obama, however, could give Ahmadinejad a respite by welcoming him as a legitimate negotiating partner. Ahmadinejad’s advisers talk of a possible September meeting with Obama in New York during the UN General Assembly session. Such a meeting would give both men the photo-ops they need to boost their respective political fortunes.

But what if Ahmadinejad is already mortally wounded politically? To cover his weakness, he may meet Obama and make noises about “solving problems through negotiations.”

As far as Obama is concerned, that would amount to fool’s gold. For if Ahmadinejad succeeds in restoring his hold on Iran, he’s sure to return to his strategy of “a world without America.” And if he doesn’t re-impose himself, his successors might resent Obama’s efforts to save the regime from drowning by inviting it to the lifeboat of substantive talks.

Obama would be wise to think twice before he issues such an invitation.

(There are some in the Iranian opposition who believe that Obama has handled the situation in Iran “just right.” But if he recognizes AN’s presidency, that will all fall to the wayside. And Obama will be in deeper doodoo with The Man upstairs than he already is. I sometimes wonder if Obama isn’t a closet atheist or agnostic.)

“DICK ACT of 1902… CAN’T BE REPEALED (GUN CONTROL FORBIDDEN) – Protection Against Tyrannical Government
Submitted by Jonathan on Sun, 03/29/2009 – 2:04pm.
The Dick Act of 1902 also known as the Efficiency of Militia Bill H.R. 11654, of June 28, 1902 invalidates all so-called gun-control laws. It also divides the militia into three distinct and separate entities.

The three classes H.R. 11654 provides for are the organized militia, henceforth known as the National Guard of the State, Territory and District of Columbia, the unorganized militia and the regular army. The militia encompasses every able-bodied male between the ages of 18 and 45. All members of the unorganized militia have the absolute personal right and 2nd Amendment right to keep and bear arms of any type, and as many as they can afford to buy.

The Dick Act of 1902 cannot be repealed; to do so would violate bills of attainder and ex post facto laws which would be yet another gross violation of the U.S. Constitution and the Bill of Rights. The President of the United States has zero authority without violating the Constitution to call the National Guard to serve outside of their State borders.

The National Guard Militia can only be required by the National Government for limited purposes specified in the Constitution (to uphold the laws of the Union; to suppress insurrection and repel invasion). These are the only purposes for which the General Government can call upon the National Guard.

Attorney General Wickersham advised President Taft, “the Organized Militia (the National Guard) can not be employed for offensive warfare outside the limits of the United States.”

The Honorable William Gordon, in a speech to the House on Thursday, October 4, 1917, proved that the action of President Wilson in ordering the Organized Militia (the National Guard) to fight a war in Europe was so blatantly unconstitutional that he felt Wilson ought to have been impeached.

During the war with England an attempt was made by Congress to pass a bill authorizing the president to draft 100,000 men between the ages of 18 and 45 to invade enemy territory, Canada. The bill was defeated in the House by Daniel Webster on the precise point that Congress had no such power over the militia as to authorize it to empower the President to draft them into the regular army and send them out of the country.

The fact is that the President has no constitutional right, under any circumstances, to draft men from the militia to fight outside the borders of the USA, and not even beyond the borders of their respective states. Today, we have a constitutional LAW which still stands in waiting for the legislators to obey the Constitution which they swore an oath to uphold.

Charles Hughes of the American Bar Association (ABA) made a speech which is contained in the Appendix to Congressional Record, House, September 10, 1917, pages 6836-6840 which states: “The militia, within the meaning of these provisions of the Constitution is distinct from the Army of the United States.” In these pages we also find a statement made by Daniel Webster, “that the great principle of the Constitution on that subject is that the militia is the militia of the States and of the General Government; and thus being the militia of the States, there is no part of the Constitution worded with greater care and with more scrupulous jealousy than that which grants and limits the power of Congress over it.”

“This limitation upon the power to raise and support armies clearly establishes the intent and purpose of the framers of the Constitution to limit the power to raise and maintain a standing army to voluntary enlistment, because if the unlimited power to draft and conscript was intended to be conferred, it would have been a useless and puerile thing to limit the use of money for that purpose. Conscripted armies can be paid, but they are not required to be, and if it had been intended to confer the extraordinary power to draft the bodies of citizens and send them out of the country in direct conflict with the limitation upon the use of the militia imposed by the same section and article, certainly some restriction or limitation would have been imposed to restrain the unlimited use of such power.”

    The Honorable William Gordon

New Taliban group with new chief formed in SWA

Three groups of Taliban in South Waziristan Agency have chosen Ikhlas Khan alias Waziristan Baba as the new Ameer of Abdullah Mehsud group on Wednesday.

Three groups namely Turkistan Bathni, Haji Tehsil Khan Wazir and Ikhals Khan Mehsud formed a new group with name of Abullah Mehsud.

New Ameer Ikhlas Khan alias Waziristan Baba is 42 years old, he joined Abdullah Mehsud three years ago.

*** Expressing his views after assuming the chieftaincy, Ikhlas Khan alias Waziristan Baba said Bitullah Mehsud is involved in the assassination of Benazir Bhutto; now, nobody will be allowed to do wrongs on the people. ***

(hmmm. Anti – Baitullah Mehsud. I hope this guy is well protected!)

The offices of new group have been set up in SWA areas including Gomal, Umar Adda, Jandola, Pang, and Sheikh Autar and more offices will be opened in other areas.

Ikhlas Khan said they will avenge the killings of innocent people, adding, ‘Those who are playing gory games with our brothers and sisters, are not people’s well-wishers.’

(Difficult to keep track of all of the rivalries that exist in these tribal areas. But if he is saying Baitullah Mehsud is the enemy, then I guess that is a good thing.)

Okay, I guess we’ll have to agree to disagree.
Believe me I don’t like everything McCain says and sometimes I’m pretty upset with him.
But I would have to say that on most issues I look to him for leadership.
I am with you Rose on that. There will never be a politician any of us agree with 100% – leaders have to make hard decisions. McCain has.

It is the dichotomy of his that I feel show something deeper beneath the surface.

I believe he was truly enthused and proud to have picked Sarah Palin – you could see it at the convention. So what behind the scenes happened to turn him?

F-22 is a just another example. The money is negligible and we could have funded both the core stuff he wanted and the F-22. And, he could have driven home the point of how wasetful much of the other 99.990% of our budget is. But he did not.

There is just too much we are not being told. Is it out of political self interest or are there things he feels he has no choice on – things he thinks he just cannot tell us?

What is it that makes a man of principle turn on his principles?

  170. CJ Says:

Troy: Here’s a copy of an email I sent to Lou Dobbs today:

“Dear Lou: Thank you for having the courage to face the same rage that Sarah Palin has faced from these left wing lunatics. In bringing up Obama’s eligibilty issues you are doing a great service for the American people. There is valid evidence that Obama does not qualify to be President under our Constitution and this should have been made clear before the election. Look at the good info that is being sent to you. Please don’t give in to the pressure to stop looking into this issue. Research what has been verified and know that you are doing the right thing. Also, try to get away from CNN and go to Fox or anywhere that allows you the freedom to be a good journalist and reporter. More open-minded people work at Fox and their audiences are much more rational and American in spirit. Good job and you are on the right track. Don’t give up. Don’t be silenced for doing the right thing.”

Not always happy with Fox, but figured it couldn’t hurt to jab CNN with naming the network that is cleaning up on ratings and suggesting Dobbs head over there. Boy they would take a hit if that happened. They probably won’t post it though lol.

  171. rosettasister Says:

“What is it that makes a man of principle turn on his principles?”

I’m guessing McCain wouldn’t agree with that statement.

Actually, it’s times when he’s stuck to his guns that I haven’t supported him. Not often.

He could be a lot more supportive of Palin without coming right out and endorsing her.

    That bothers me.

I would much rather have McCain as president right now. It’s that simple.

And I believe the Hispanic community across the nation turned their back on him.

And that bothers me big time.

I am still a big fan of both W and McCain.

McCain knows he must be seen to compromise if he ever wants to win in Arizona again.

And I believe it is in his nature to compromise.

But he won’t compromise on the public “option” I guarantee you that.

I’m a Dem outsider looking in and my message to the GOP is if you ever want to regain the executive or a majority in House or Senate, you better start courting the Hispanic vote.

I wanted him in – we all saw this regime coming. I think about that one a lot Rose. McCain would not have let us fall into this abyss. He would have gotten to work and made some hard decisions.

But I also suspect that had Obama lost, I would not have kept digging into the disease that produced him.

Perhaps in the long run, it will be better that Obama got out his Progessive sledge hammer to dislodge America from our Constitution, rather than the slow drift we’ve been in for so long. May it is the wake up call we needed.

But I guess it does not matter to debate it now. What matters is what will we the people do next, can we recover, and will we have learned the lessons of our Founders?

Suggested Questions for Tonight’s Press Conference

Suggested question #1: Mr. President, experts agree that if health care legislation includes a so called “government option” or “public plan,” many employers will get out of the expensive and time-consuming business of insuring their employees and push them instead into the government option. As president, don’t you owe the public a candid and complete explanation of this likely impact from the government option you are pushing instead of the assurance you keep giving that “If you like the insurance you have, you can keep it?”

Suggested question #2: Mr. President. In a conference call with leftwing bloggers on Monday, you told one of them who asked about a specific section of the House bill that you weren’t familiar with that section. How familiar are you with the provisions of the House bill? And have you had a chance to study the section he asked about and whether it outlaws new private insurance policies?

Suggested question #3: Mr. President, the stimulus package was passed with large parts of it unread and much of it even unprinted. The same thing happened when the House passed Cap and Trade –there was a 300 page amendment introduced and adopted on the day it passed. You campaigned on a promise of having all bills posted on the web for many days prior to a vote on passage so the public could read them and respond. Will you insist on that promise being kept on health care legislation and if so, for how long will you ask the House and Senate to post their proposed bills before voting on them?

Suggested question #4: Mr. President, Americans by large margins reject public funding of abortion, but your budget director refused to rule out including abortion services as part of the government option/public plan you are pushing. Will the government plan pay for abortions? Do you want it to?

Suggested question #5: Mr. President, many small businesses with thin profit margins in areas like restaurants, janitorial services and landscaping are saying that they will have to go out of business if they are forced to pay the health care costs of their workforces. Are they wrong?

    Jindal’s GOP healthcare reform alternative

Bobby Jindal takes a shot at a Republican alternative for healthcare reform in the WSJ today:

    1) IT-driven consumer choice;

    2) health savings accounts;

    3) medical lawsuit reform;

    4) insurance reform;

    5) pools for small business;

    6) pay for performance rather than procedures; and

    7) tax credits to help low-income working Americans buy health insurance.

    Pethokoukis Skeptical

Fine, fine, I guess. But wouldn’t it better to describe how a real plan would work in people’s day to day lives and what it might cost or how it might reduce costs? Does this really change the debate at all, or merely show Jindal as wonky potential presidential contender?

  185. rosettasister Says:

Why you should or should not bet against healthcare reform

Mark Halperin of The Page gives his reasons why healthcare reform still has a good chance of happening, though what “healthcare reform” means is left undefined — and that is kinda important:

    (see link)

And this article from The Hill makes some counterpoints:

The [Congressional Budget Office score] last week was really a hit across the bow,” said Rep. Baron Hill (D-Ind.), a Blue Dog leader and member of the Energy and Commerce Committee. …

Some members want to wait to see what the more conservative Senate will do so that members don’t have to make tough votes on issues, like raising taxes, that are difficult to get through the upper chamber.

Complicating the healthcare reform effort is the fact that the Senate Finance Committee still hasn’t released its bill or indicated how it will be offset.

  186. Tenacity Says:

The one sensible bill that would have truly made a difference in health care costs and insurance costs was squelched mainly as a result of lobbying efforts by trial attorney’s organizations. Medical lawsuit reform (limiting awards and penalizing frivolous suits) would have made a real difference and lightened the load on the much overloaded court systems.

#6 on Jindal’s list should also apply to attorneys. Good luck on that!

    Bad economy overwhelming Obama’s agenda

Here are the numbers that should worry team Obama:

A recent AP-GfK poll found 54 percent of Americans think the country is on the wrong track, the same as in January and up ten points from mid-April.

A recent Diageo/Hotline poll found 55 percent of American think the country is on the wrong track, the same as in early March and up 12 points from early June.

A CBS poll has the wrong track number at 57 percent, up from 48 percent in early May and the same as in early March.

The trend is clearly not Obama’s friend, particularly with unemployment expected to continue to rise to at least 10 percent and stay elevated for some time.

Obama might turn to extreme economic measures to juice the economy and his political fortunes:

“We are sure that as the unemployment rate makes new highs and increasingly poses a political hurdle in a mid-term election year, that it would make perfect sense, for a country that always operates in its best interest

    — even if it may not be in everyone’s best interest —

to sanction a U.S. dollar devaluation as a means to stimulate the domestic economy.”

The Dow has scored seven-straight winning sessions for the first time since April 2007, gaining nearly 10 percent over that span.

With fear of a depression subsiding, political gridlock may again be good.

Hatch Drops Out of Senate Health Negotiating Group

Sen. Orrin Hatch said Wednesday he has withdrawn from a bipartisan Senate group that is negotiating legislation to overhaul the health-care system.

Mr. Hatch (R., Utah) is one of four Republicans that began negotiating with the aim of reaching bipartisan agreement on a bill. However, of the four, he had been considered the least likely to support a final product. Talks are continuing to try to get Sens. Charles Grassley (R., Iowa); Olympia Snowe (R., Maine) and Mike Enzi (R., Wyo.) to throw their support behind the package.

“It’s going to be difficult for me to support what they are talking about, so I’d rather be upfront about it,” Mr. Hatch told reporters after a Senate vote. He said he informed Senate Finance Committee Chairman Max Baucus (D., Mont.), who has been leading the so-called group of seven, of his decision Wednesday.

Mr. Hatch said he had several objections to proposals being discussed, including the creation of a public insurance option to compete with private plans. That is a priority of President Barack Obama, but senators in the bipartisan group are moving instead toward agreement on a state-level co-op system as an alternative to a national public plan.

Mr. Hatch said he is also worried about “pressure” on Mr. Baucus and other finance committee members to accept provisions of the House health-care bill, which does include the public insurance option.

“I am definitely concerned about the high costs of this bill, the push towards a single-payer system — which is what it is, that’s what’s behind the whole government plan option,” Mr. Hatch said.

That’s what Obama gets for making Conrad carry Obama’s water during the budget negotiations!

Conrad: A thorn in Obama’s side

Conrad is also the author of a proposal to set up member-run healthcare cooperatives instead of a robust government-run insurance program, known as the public option, which Obama has made the centerpiece of his healthcare reform agenda. Liberal critics have blasted Conrad’s co-op proposal as a “cop-out.”

Before the debate over healthcare reform, Conrad defied the president on the budget and climate legislation.

In March, Conrad declared that the budget proposal Obama sent to Congress could not pass.

“Anybody who thinks it will be easy to get the votes on the budget in the conditions that we face is smoking something,” Conrad said.

Over the next few weeks, Conrad took a knife to Obama’s budget. He proposed cutting $160 billion from Obama’s request for non-defense programs over the next five years. And while Obama asked for a 12 percent increase in discretionary spending, Conrad called for only a 6 percent increase.

Conrad also took a strong stand against allowing Obama’s climate change proposal to be passed more easily under reconciliation rules.

“We’re operating under the rule, nothing is decided until everything is decided. So, even if you reach tentative conclusions on some things, that doesn’t mean they can’t be reopened,” Conrad told reporters.

The Finance negotiators have struggled since June to reach a deal that would cost less than $1 trillion over the next decade and not add to the deficit. Additionally, the panel members must compromise on whether to implement a government-run insurance option as a part of reform or go with Conrad’s idea for a nonprofit medical cooperative.

Gotta work but this video is excellent so wanted to post it. I wonder why more is not made of this:

  238. jrinNC Says:

Well I definitely think Cherry is male. Here are a couple of clues to his location:

My critters tend to like it as I have numbers of endangered species on my property in plants and animals. Imagine though my surprise today in finding this bobcat screaming around in my ditch smashing rare species of grass, hacking to pieces a 40 year old green willow of a specific genus that is almost extinct, disturbing a doe and her fawn, and smashing through one of the last habitats of an almost extinct small snake in North America.

I was speaking with a clerk today about what we usually talk about in the weather, and she corrected my being polite in saying it had been a cool spring.”No,” she said, “It has been COLD!”

I have been observing weather conditions again this season and have noted something which is quite odd in my brother was here for a visit and was looking at my thermometer and it was reading around 60 degrees one day and he kept saying, “That thing must be broken as it is hotter than that”.

The problem is the thermometer has been correct and the people have been correct in being cold at the same time as being hot. This might sound an impossibility, but it is not.

I had a not so nice surprise this past week in I had been weeding one of my test garden plots and all looked wonderfully well at the low temperatures we were having. A few hours later, even with high moisture content in the soil, the entire garden looked like it had been in a steamer when the medium temperature was nowhere near anything critical.

In driving about the countryside, with this area actually being wet enough in over an inch and a half rain this past week, I noted corn crops which were rolling their leaves which is due to moisture and heat stress, one field which literally had the tops of it’s leaves burnt to a brown and wheat stubble which is about 6 inches shorter than they should be.
Plants in a heavy clay regions are fairing better as clay holds moisture and transfers to roots better, along with cooling plants more readily to the normal geothermal temperatures of the earth which no matter the air temperature is a constant 58 to 70 degrees depending on latitude zones.
The plants in sand loam locations are showing immense stress which means the solar radiant heat is not just heating the liquid in the plants, but this bandwidth is penetrating to levels which normally should shield things from normal solar radiant heat.

So now I am changing my guess to Wyoming.

  239. j.b. Says:

CJ, I ran into an old friend the other day and we began talking Barry……he had just been made aware of the S.S Scam (which I had forgotten about. there is SO much, right?) and I enlightend him on all things Donald Young and Larry Sinclair.

I hope that vid gets plenty of views!

Hey Troy, I looked AND looked for your post on Topix (?) there is alot of traffic there, did yours make it?

  240. Tenacity Says:

The areas of wyoming where willow is prolific is mostly at or above 7000 feet which would greatly limit any snakes. The language is certainly not native to WY or CO. Based on this, its still a tough call.

  241. Tenacity Says:

You know, the western slope or northern Utah might be a better guess. Of course SW Wyoming or Idaho could work too.

Interesting. Medved just backtracked and said that even if a “smoking gun” were to show Obama wasn’t born here, it wouldn’t matter because “no court would invalidate a sitting president on the issue of eligibility.”

(I hope I haven’t already posted this – our family is going through a very difficult time now and I’m not as on top of things as usual.)

Only read and watch this if you wish to have some of your faith in people restored.

Killed in action the week before, the body of Sergeant First Class John C. Beale was returned to Falcon Field in Peachtree City , Georgia , just south of Atlanta , on June 11, 2009 . The Henry County Police Department escorted the procession to the funeral home in McDonough, Georgia.  A simple notice in local papers indicated the road route to be taken and the approximate time.

Nowadays one can be led to believe that America no longer respects honor and no longer honors sacrifice outside the military. Be it known that there are many places in this land where people still recognize the courage and impact of total self-sacrifice. Georgia remains one of those graceful places. The link below is a short travelogue of that day’s remarkable and painful journey. Please share widely.

    May we know why?

Does it have anything to do with Sgt Beale’s death?

I just heard Jon Kyl on with Hugh Hewitt.

This is what I thought I heard, but I will post podcast and transcript tomorrow morning.

Regarding reconciliation instructions and the public “option.”

Reconciliation can only be used on certain parts of any bill that comes up for a vote.

I think I heard Kyl say that approx. 80% of bill is hands off when it comes to reconciliation.

But what about the public “option” government-run healthcare part?

    Ultimately up to Senate parliamentarian?!

But Kyl sounded pretty sure that that part of the bill would be safe from reconciliation.

If I’ve got that right, and if Kyl is right, that is indeed good news.

Thank you all for the kind words. My father is critically ill with a failing heart, and is awaiting word tomorrow to see if he will have surgery to save him. (before Obama takes away his choice.)

Rose, thank you for posting the story about Sgt. Beale. I emailed the link of the movie to my folks last night, and my father watched it three times. It did his failing heart a lot of good to see what REAL AMERICANS do. These personal stories help to keep our brave military and their family’s sacrifices alive in our memories.

Tenacity – I met one his nurses today at the hospital and she said to my father, “she HAS to be a daughter – she looks just like you.” Not sure how I feel about THAT part, but here’s a good story about lessons my father taught me.

When my husband asked his permission to marry me, he said “Yes. Under one condition. You MUST read Atlas Shrugged before you say ‘I do’.” My father started reading that book in the late 50’s and has read it at least 5 times, and made it required reading for all his kids.

I want to share with all of you a very special and personal email my father sent me just before the election. There’s wisdom in his words that I am proud to pay forward.

“I wish I could type faster and better but I can’t so I’ll do the best I can.

I read your last message and waves of pride and regrets flooded through my mind. Pride because I believe Mom and I have had a large hand in your political leanings and philosophy and our Capitalistic beliefs seem to have caused you a lot of anguish. I’m glad that you can see through the untruths of the socialistic liberals and the fallacies in their attempts take our country down. The comparison you made concerning Hitler and how the German people voted him in to their own downfall has been something I have always said in my life. Why can’t the intelligent people of this country read through what is being done? Someone said that ‘He who forgets history is doomed to repeat it’

Why do I have regrets? I am sorry that you are going to have to go through some tough times and I am not going to be able to help. There is hope, I think. I have been through more than 70 years of political campaigns and have seen some intelligent entity come through and bring us back to the most Prosperous, Brave, Free country that has ever existed in this world’s history. I don’t know who but I hope I’m right.

I guess that’s all I have to say except, I love you and all the rest of my kids. Keep your values, your hopes and your dreams alive………..Dad “

  270. smrstrauss Says:

Re: “The founding fathers and framers of the U.S. Constitution, as did almost all nations, used the writings of Vattel’s “Law of Nations” as a guide in adopting and writing their laws.”

Sure Vattel said it. But what is the evidence that the writers of the Constitution followed this advice?

They did not follow Vattel when he recommended that a country should establish a particular religion and force people to join it.

Vattel himself did not say that the leader of a country should be a citizen of that country. He gave as examples plenty of kings and emperors who were from other countries and never said that it would have been better if they were born in the country to two parents from the country.

So what is the evidence they followed Vattel? John Jay said that the commander in chief of the USA should be a Natural Born Citizen, but he could easily have been referring to the definition of Natural Born Subject, which was the laws in the colonies before the Revolution and meant that someone born in the area became a citizen automatically.

There is evidence that the prominent leaders at the time of the writing of the Constitution used Natural Born Citizen as a synonym to Natural Born Subject, which meant born in the country. That was the law at the time of the Revolution. People born in the colonies became citizens of the colony and subjects of England simply because they were born in the colony. The term “Natural Born” stems from those colonial laws and from the English common law which was defined by Blackstone, who was extremely popular among the writers of the Constitution.

And that is why such prominent conservative Senators who are also lawyers as Orren Hatch and Lindsay Graham say that a Natural Born Citizen is simply one who was born in the USA:

    Senator Lindsey Graham (R-SC), said:

“Every child born in the United States is a natural-born United States citizen except for the children of diplomats.” (December 11, 2008 letter to constituent)

Senator Orrin G. Hatch (R-UT), said:

“What is a natural born citizen? Clearly, someone born within the United States or one of its territories is a natural born citizen.” (Senate Judiciary Committee hearing hearing on OCTOBER 5, 2004)
