Pak orders its forces to go after Mehsud

Even as Pakistan ordered its defence forces to go after country’s top Taliban commander Baitullah Mehsud, jet fighters and gunship helicopters pounded militant hideouts in Mohmand and Bajaur tribal agencies on Monday killing 40 militants, security officials in the region said.

‘‘Airstrikes and shelling by attack helicopters killed 29 militants while 25 others were wounded in Safi town of Mohmand district,’’ a military statement said. Troops also pounded militant positions in Bajaur tribal region. At least 15 militants were killed in fighting and air strikes elsewhere.

The full-fledged land and air attack on Waziristan targeting Tehrik-e-Taliban chief Baitullah Mehsud, said to be the mastermind behind a spate of suicide attacks in the country, and other top commanders meant opening several fronts in NWFP’s restive tribal belts. This was to prevent the regrouping of Taliban, the officials added.

NWFP governor Owais Ahmad Ghani announced on Monday that the military offensive was being expanded to the Waziristan tribal areas and Pakistan interior minister Rehman Malik said the military operations would continue ‘‘till the elimination of the last terrorist’’.

Military experts see a do-or-die battle for Taliban and al-Qaida unfolding in the tussle for Waziristan, where American forces have promised surveillance and intelligence back-up to the Pakistani troops.

In the wake of stepped-up military offensive, security has been tightened in Islamabad and other major cities.

According to Rehman Malik, Islamabad police recently arrested an unspecified number of suspects planning to kidnap diplomats, and they had also selected some places for bomb attacks.

Islamabad police chief Syed Kaleem Imam said 18 terrorists have been arrested from the capital and other areas. ‘‘We recovered arms, ammunition and explosive-laden vehicles from them,’’ Imam said.

    Update on Berg

I really tried to stay away from the frivolous action by Philip Berg, as I think it is just a distraction and a waste of my time, however since he filed a legal action and he issues frequent press releases with outrageous slanderous statements about me, I have to respond.

This is not the first time Berg brings an action with manufactured allegations.

Please see an attachment below showing Berg being sanctioned by the court and fined over $10,000 for bringing a frivolous baseless law suit with the sole purpose of harassing the other party.

In regards to his legal actions- the one that he called a law suit under seal, was actually not a law suit but a request for Atty. General to file a law suit.

It was stating that Obama is not only not a Natural Born Citizen, but not a citizen at all, which is harder to prove, as he could’ve become a citizen at any time.

The request, filed by Berg, was asking the Attorney General to take back Obama’s salary of the senator, whereby Berg were to get a certain percentage of it, as a whistleblower.

I was just skeptical about the viability of such a request.

In regards to two other legal actions he filed, they were dismissed and from January Berg was saying that he has an oral argument scheduled for May.

The month of May came and went and there was no argument and nobody could find any such argument scheduled on the docket.

Now he is saying that there is an argument scheduled for September-October, but again nobody can find anything scheduled.

The only law suit he has going, is one with slanderous allegations against me and his only occupation as of late has been issuing outrageous press releases about me and asking for money so he can slander me some more and can file more law suits against me.

It is just despicable that Berg, who was sanctioned by the court and fined for bringing frivolous action with the sole purpose of harassment is calling to have me disbarred,

that Berg, who is employing Lisa Liberi, a convicted criminal, with 10 felony convictions of grand theft, forgery of documents and forgery of seal (see record attached),

is accusing others of forgery and fraud, including a licensed investigator with 20 years of experience in Scotland Yard and over 15 years of experience, Mr. Sankey,

a Christian minister and editor of Christian publishing Pastor James Sundquist,

a radio station, a talk show host, the wife of a talk show host and even their own volunteer.

I have attached a copy of the second amended motion to dismiss due to lack of jurisdiction.

I was asked –what does it mean.

You are supposed to file such a motion first, as if there is no jurisdiction the case is dismissed right then and there before it goes any further.

I hope Eastern District Court of Pennsylvania judge Eduardo Robreno will dismiss this case shortly.

Since my foundation Defend Our Freedoms Foundation (DOFF) is registered in California,

I have filed a complaint with the Attorney General of California, Orange County FBI and Mission Viejo, Orange County Police,

asking them to investigate actions by Lisa Ostella, Lisa Liberi, Evelyn Adams and Philip Berg,

whereby Lisa Ostella is fraudulently diverting donations from DOFF to her own pocket and

Liberi, Adams and Berg are being unjustly enriched by her actions and their own actions.

(Oh, that’s rich!) (As in “highly amusing”)

    1984 all over again

The GOP requested time to present their health care plan — rebuffed by ABC. The Republicans are also saying that this is little more than a White House infomercial and they should have to pay for the privilege of all this free air time.

It is true that the networks routinely hand over time to the party in power so that the president can address the nation. But this is much different. In essence, I agree with Drudge; this makes ABC a part of the executive branch – a cog in the Obama PR machine. It makes a cruel joke of the idea of an independent press.

Exit question; will any journalists resign as a result of this insult to the idea of freedom of the press?

    Thomas Lifson adds:

This isn’t even NBC, whose corporate parent is dependent on Obama for billions in windmill and “smart grid” underwriting, not to mention bailout for its financial interests. We seem to have the broadcast nets one-upping each other to support Obama.

  27. rosettasister Says:

Foreign leaders have been far blunter toward the Iranian leadership.

French Foreign Minister Bernard Kouchner called for an investigation of the election results, and German Chancellor Angela Merkel said flatly that there were “signs of irregularities” in the results.

“Expressions of solidarity with those who are defending human rights, with students and others, are important,” former Czech President Vaclav Havel said Monday.

Sen. John McCain is criticizing President Barack Obama’s stance on Iran’s disputed election results. He tells NBC’s “Today” show that Obama isn’t using tough enough words about it, and that he should denounce what McCain calls Iran’s “corrupt, flawed, sham of an election.”

Joan Walsh’s Warped Mind Rationalizes George Tiller’s Butchery

Anti-abortion organizations and activists – as well as O’Reilly – couldn’t have been quicker or more strident in their denunciations of Tiller’s murder by a lone assassin. I’ll join them. The killing was wrong, wrong, wrong, wrong.

So why can’t Ms. Walsh and her fellow travelers bring themselves to admit the same about Tiller’s atrocities?

Because that admission, though grounded in simple common sense, would involve drawing, somewhere, a line where a baby’s life outweighs the mother’s convenience and the state’s interests. To raise a trivial point, Roe v. Wade did just that, putting the line at “viability” – a moving target that, inconveniently for their side, keeps getting earlier and earlier.

Yet Ms. Walsh, under intense pressure, ultimately abandoned her obfuscation and admitted, “I believe (abortion) should always be the decision of the mother.” And that she in fact agreed with “pro-choicers” who consider George Tiller a “hero.”

Perplexed, I returned to Mr. Webster to find a definition of “hero” that could by any stretch of the imagination be applied to a butcher like Tiller. I briefly considered: “noun – a large sandwich ….”

    But nah. That’s too far-out even for a warped mind . . . and heart . . . like Ms. Walsh’s.

Why Obama wants to hide birth certificate

A logical question naturally follows: Why didn’t the Congress of the United States hold hearings on Obama’s eligibility when they did so on McCain’s eligibility?

I’m still trying to figure that one out. Maybe the answer is this simple: Because there’s no way Obama would have qualified.

Another logical question follows: Why is this man still serving in the White House and turning the country upside down when he is not even constitutionally eligible?

That’s the heart and soul of the campaign I’ve been running.

By the way, further establishing that it was impossible for Obama to have been a “natural born citizen” are some astonishing words found on his own campaign website. They indicate that Obama was “at birth” a citizen of Kenya and a subject of Great Britain.

Why did the founders insist upon a “natural born citizen” clause in the Constitution? To avoid questions of divided loyalties. (Just scroll down the webpage and read the excerpt to see this amazing admission for yourself.)

So, again, I ask: Why doesn’t Obama want to reveal his real birth certificate? Because he wants this discussion of eligibility to go away – once and for all. It is a vulnerability he cannot explain away. So he would rather not discuss it at all.

But let me remind you all, in case you hadn’t considered this: Obama plans to run for re-election in 2012. And that’s why we can never, ever let this matter rest.

(I sort of agree with this last point. I pretty much feel the same way I did on election night back in November. I felt we’re stuck with Obama for four years, but “we can never, ever let this matter rest” because we must keep the pressure on.

I am much more frightened by where Obama wants to take this country than I am by his possible ineligibility. So, as my husband reminded me the other day, don’t get distracted. That could be dangerous. But keep the pressure on!)

Hello everyone. I thought this would be a good articleto share. This was posted on Lame Cherry’s site.

We now know Barack Obama pays eleven million, seven hundred sixty four thousand, seven hundred and seven dollars and eighty eight cents for each terrorist in bribery money to send them to a south seas heaven of Palau, or in the case of 4 terrorists he released them in Bermuda just off the Washington, DC coast.

What is amazing to me is the terrorists just were not dumped off at Buckingham Palace as we are constantly reminded that Muchelle Obama sucks the Queen’s nipples as the the Queen diapers her new black child.
Muchelle exchanges letters, has phone calls, manhandles and has a deep relationship with the Queen we are told, so why doesn’t the Queen just take in the Gitmo terrorists as it would be a great deal cheaper than Obama bribing pissy little governments under British control to take maniacal murderers.

This is all another Obama disaster in the British government is furious about having terrorists dumped on their soil behind their backs.
The Chinese whose Muslim terrorists these men are are furious and demanding these maniacs be returned to them for justified trial.
One would think the Citizens of Palau and Bermuda would be outraged having these kooks dumped into their societies……..added to that it is really not pleasing to this blogger to know that just a boat ride away are 4 free terrorists, living in luxury, that can whenever it suits them come to America illegally and conduct terror attacks.

This is beyond non social intercourse as what on earth Chinese Muslims have in common with people of the south seas of Bermuda is like putting a Russian in Mexico and telling them to “not eat the worm” and they would have no idea what you were talking about.

You just can not let people who have no western experience, except for being terrorists in Afghanistan trying to murder Americans, housed inside a prison for years, loose on civilian populations as they can not assimilate nor comprehend what they are about.
This leads to ostracizing, which leads to the same incidents where an Asian was shooting up the immigration services in New York just a few months ago as these people get frustrated.

How does Barack Obama justify spending over eleven million dollars on each terrorist who had sworn to murder Americans?
Consider the fact that George W. Bush released numbers of these terrorists before into their own cultures and numbers of them turned into worse terrorists than before. These Obama releases are not even the Bush “tame” terrorists who went back to become more savage terrorists. These are the worse people that even Bush wouldn’t turn loose.

Over 11 million dollars for each terrorist and Americans are loosing jobs, loosing car dealerships, loosing homes and loosing their freedom, all so Birdie can insult the British, slap the Chicoms who in this case are justified in their demands that terrorists be returned to them for trial and the biggest insult is to the American people who are now having to pay their murderers millions of dollars for a vacation retreat most of them could never afford.

This is worse than Eric Holder’s snide comments about housing terrorists in luxury hotels. Who on earth would have thought Obama would be buying vacation islands for terrorists to live off of Americans WHO ARE WORKING!

I think Gordonian Brown should empty his British prisons all out and dump them all on the Jersey shore as a thank you to Barack Obama. This is Obama policy to empty jails out and not tell the government’s in charge, then every government around the world should just dump their murderers, terrorists, rapists and pedophiles ……….well the pedophiles can go to David Letterman’s block as he likes pedophiles……….into all the Obama voting states that installed this absolute dunce.
Only the Chinese know how they are going to retaliate on America considering this slap at them. Such a nice antagonism Obama voters, as America needs China to deal with nuclear North Korea.

You really got the Col. Klink Obama there Obamaniacs for your vote.

In all honesty, this was an act of war by Axelrod Inc. on the British government. Obama sent in terrorists onto British soil. I do hope though the Queen likes these negroes of her very own who just pissed on her and her entire nation.
Nothing like betraying an ally by dumping terrorists on their soil.

This though couldn’t have turned out better for exposing Obama for the nut he is turning out to be as his programming goes haywire. Americans should just love this new image of themselves they project around the world as they were so worried about what George W. Bush was doing. Yes, Bush was killing terrorists. Obama only pays them 11 million dollars for luxury vacations and sets them loose on another nations soil illegally causing an international diplomatic incident.

If the Brits don’t need the US bases there, they should tell Americans to get he h*ll out, cancel the new fighter contracts, dump the dollar, dump all US finance (England owns a great deal of American investment) and buy from Russia. Perhaps that would send a message, but then Obama’s main mission complete has been to so separate France and England from America, that they will be vassal states of the European empire of central Europe.
Little hard to fight the war in Eurasia when the closest America can get is Staten Island.

I’m quite certain that Birdie in releasing these Gitmo terrorists has violated numerous international and British laws. The nice part is that Barack Obama is a British subject and MI 5 can just trot on over and arrest the limey as they have jurisdiction in apprehending their subjects who dump terrorists on their soil.

Pip pip Queen Liz, got room in the tower for the Birdie and Muchelle for felonious trafficking in terrorism on British Commonwealth soil.

Phil Berg, care to file that complaint and case in the British courts and have Prime Minister Obama arrested in a real case with standing.

First, Obama gets booed by the doctors at the AMA conference.

Then the Congressional Budget Office prices the Kennedy-Dodd healthcare bill at $1 trillion over ten years but only covers an additional 16 million people.

The analysis does not include an expansion of Medicaid — which, of course, would mean more people would be covered but at a higher cost.

  45. cynkading Says:

    Another article from Lame Cherry.

    Nappy Headed Letterman

Apparently Les Moonves, the parent company of CBS, all of CBS,
including Harry Smith, Julie Chen Moonves, Katie Couric and Andy Rooney all in their deafening silence, just like David Letterman, approve of raping children in his comments concerning Gov. Sarah Palin’s daughters.
We certainly know that David Letterman and Les Moonves wanted Bristol Palin’s infanticide, so it appears that raping children is just another use for “tissue”.
Compare if you will the hell that Don Imus went through in his comedy over Nappy Headed Ho’s. A statement which he was known a part of in his liberal audience humor for his entire career.
Mr. Imus though was crucified over this statement and if one reviews the records he was punished for calling black college basketball females, curly headed prostitutes, just like Richard Pryor or Chris Rock would be paid millions of dollars for in their comedy.

Now calling a black woman with curly hair a ho gets Don Imus into major punishment. David Letterman though instead has not one thing done to him by the parent company, by Les Moonves, by CBS for calling for the rape of little girls by New York Yankee baseball players.

This gets Letterman cocktail crowd worse in Letterman is on record for apologizing to Paris Hilton, the same Paris Hilton who attained stardom in her own self porn video posted all over the internet and the same Paris Hilton who has acted borderline in need of a straight jacket in parts of her criminal life.
By comparison though, Letterman never did apologize for the pedophile comments. Instead, he said he was talking about another teenage daughter of Sarah Palin in degrading her SO THAT MADE IT ALL RIGHT.

The Palin’s were quite perfect in their response to Letterman in stating they do not want their 14 year old daughter Willow anywhere near this pervert.

Pervert is a perfect explanation of David Letterman as he is the definition. Notice the nudity which he has condoned on his program from various kooks in Courtney Love to the hate filled diatribes he cackles at in Al Franken.
Remember Al Franken things abusing women, assassinating Republicans and other horrid things are funny too, along with attacking people and chasing people like a lunatic.

So there is David Letterman deliberately using his son, Harry, a bastard from the start because Letterman was fornicating with Harry’s mother until he was finally shamed into marrying this female, using him as a photo op media whore to gain a sympathy viewer rating.
That is worth repeating in David Letterman prostituted his child outside his work, as he made certain to have Harry on display with his billboard behind them.

Now ask yourself if you were in New York Child Protective Services if Sarah Palin had taken her children to a place of work where women were dancing on desks, flashing their breasts in public nudity and hate speech was a common voice of the day……..with the governor actually advocating that Letterman was a pimp in “comedy” and someone should go sex up Letterman’s son from the Yankees or perhaps Harry Smith was showing Harry his rubber ducky, would that get a response like a ton of bricks coming down on Sarah Palin?

You know it would and you know that Child Protective Services would have snatched those children from that perverted environment.

So David Letterman gets a “by” from CBS, Moonves and the liberal law enforcement groups, including those who are supposed to be protecting children, because they now condone it is ok to verbally rape an American Lady and promote pedophilia of American children when it involves people on the right.
When it is children on the left, hells bells, Letterman just takes his little boy to pervert booby central.

David Letterman must be fired. Les Moonves and CBS must be fined millions of dollars with a FCC review of revoking their broadcast license. There can be no other measure for a civilized nation to undertake for justice to be done.
This is not about apologies, but about the brutal assault by perverts on American women and their children.

Child Services must be involved to review exactly what is occurring the Letterman household with a strict ban on Harry going anywhere near CBS to be used in photo ops or be exposed to what goes on at CBS.

These are criminal legal matters and it is time someone started filing the paperwork on David Letterman.

I repeat, he apologizes to Paris Hilton for her being Paris Hilton, but David Letterman will not apologize for comments advocating teenage girls be raped.

This is not Stanley Ann Dunham in statutory rape by Barack Obama sr. These are real moral people who do not expose their families to pedophilia.

Fire David Letterman and Child Services monitor the Letterman household.

Nothing, however, suggests a lasting recovery.

Markets are trading on imagination. …

The noise would be to emphasize the “temporary” nature of the stimulus.

The market will probably be fooled again. It will fully wake up only in 2010.

The United States has no way out but to print money.

As a rational country, it will do what it has to, regardless of its rhetoric.

This is why I expect a second dip for the global economy in 2010. …

The world is setting up for a big crash, again.

Since the last bubble burst, governments around the world have not been focusing on reforms.

They are trying to pump a new bubble to solve existing problems.

Before inflation appears, this strategy works.

As inflation expectation rises, its effectiveness is threatened.

When inflation appears in 2010, another crash will come.

    VAT attack on healthcare

    From Ezra Klein

Levying a VAT to pay for coverage of the uninsured seems like a quick way to kill health-care reform.

For the 85 percent of Americans with health insurance coverage, the VAT would be nothing but a charity tax.

It wouldn’t buy them anything, as it does in the European systems.

It wouldn’t free them from premiums, as it does in the Emmanuel/Fuchs voucher program.

Republicans would view it as a major new tax.

If Congress wants to rebuild American health care around a VAT, that’s probably a good idea.

But simply slapping a new national sales tax atop the existing system?

That doesn’t get you anything in terms of efficiency, and it’s going to scare the hell out of the middle class.

“a new national sales tax” – Good luck with that one!

Also, several of the obamnoid apolists keep conflating ‘citizen’ with ‘natural bor citizen’. Frankly, Obama has not proven he is actually a citizen, as you noting in the initial essay! If he used an Inodnesian passport to travel when he was eighteen or nineteen, he displayed dividied loyalties or fraud in doing so or after obtaining the passport since he now tries to proclaim himself a natural birn citizen.
And finally, it is not just the absence of ANY PROOF of his birth location, etc., he has spent more than amillion on an armyu of people tasked with hiding all relevent history of his life! It isn’t just his stubbornly not proving that he is a natural born citizen, it is the mountain of deceit and stealth he has to employ to continue the charade of his fabricated life!

Ahmadinejad Again Challenges Obama To Debate

Amid the ongoing furor over Mahmoud Ahmadinejad’s disputed re-election as president of Iran, he has once again challenged President Barack Obama to a debate.

The state-run news agency in Iran carried Ahmadinejad’s challenge to Obama on Sunday, while ignoring escalating unrest in the streets over the election results.

Ahmadinejad, who first challenged Obama last month, has now said “negotiations on the nuclear issue are history,” but added: “As I said last month, I am ready to have a debate with the American president.”

Ahmadinejad also challenged Obama several days before Friday’s election, The Hill newspaper reported. He said in an interview: “I want constructive interaction on justice and respect and if I remain in the post, I will invite President Obama to a debate in the venue of the United Nations General Assembly.

“Our proposal is to sit at the U.N. and debate about the origin of the global problems and [let] each side put forward its solutions.”

Given that the discovery of $134.5 billion of bearer bonds in the suitcases of two Japanese nationals in Chiasso, Italy on the border of Switzerland qualifies as one of the largest smuggling operations in history, and given the various implications of such an act and the possible players involved, the silence regarding this huge story is simply stunning.

It is not a huge story, per se, because of the counterfeiting operation, because accusations and revelations of massive money counterfeiting operations have occured in the past.

It is a huge story, rather, due to all the inconsistencies of the story and the potential explanations that could explain these inconsistencies.

The larger story at hand is, who are the players (nations) involved, and what was the intention of this likely counterfeiting operation?

    Khomeini’s Arabization of Persia

    Michael J. Totten – 06.17.2009 – 10:26 AM

In his new book The Persian Night, Iranian author and COMMENTARY contributor Amir Taheri describes how and why the Khomeinists imported an alien Arab ideology and its attendant grievances into a land of Persians, Azeris, and Kurds:

It is not easy to present Israel as a threat to Iran, let alone a Muslim world of 1.3 billion people. There is no history of enmity between Iranians and Jews.

On the contrary, most historical narratives on both sides radiate with genuine warmth and affection. Ancient Persians helped save the Jews from extermination in Babylon.

Jews always remained loyal to Iran, fighting and dying for it whenever given an opportunity. Even when Israel was reborn as a state, few Iranian Jews were prepared to choose it over Iran.

Iran and Israel do not face any of the problems that set one nation-state against another. There is no border dispute between them.

They are not competing over access to rare natural resources or markets. They do not suffer from a collective memory of hatred and war.

Any Western visitor to Iran would quickly realize that Iranians do not hate Jews and would not be prepared to sacrifice them for the Arabs.

This lack of a popular base for a policy of hatred and war may well prove to be the ultimate check on Ahmadinejad’s messianic illusions.

Before Ahmadinejad wiped Israel off the map, moreover, he would have to deal with the third “other” in the Khomeinist demonology:

the American Great Satan, which, although weakened by its internal squabbles and surrounded by squeamish allies, remains the world’s sole superpower.

Between Ahmadinejad and the light of day stands the shadow of a heavily armed foe that has all but encircled the Islamic Republic, and, its “tergiversations” notwithstanding, remains capable of doing quite a bit of mischief.

(“tergiversations” – That’s a new one on me.)

    Ter`gi*ver*sa”tion\, n. [L. tergiversario: cf. F. tergiversation.]

    1. The act of tergiversating; a shifting; shift; subterfuge; evasion.

Writing is to be preferred before verbal conferences, as being freer from passions and tergiversations. –Abp. Bramhall.

Budget chief sees ‘hard slog’ on health (CBO Director Douglas Elmendorf)

Elmendorf’s non-partisan agency will estimate the cost of every health care proposal. On Monday, it said insurance expansion proposed by Sen. Edward Kennedy, D-Mass., would cost $1 trillion and leave 37 million people uninsured.

Top Republicans on the congressional budget panels, who are opposed to Obama’s health care overhaul, said Elmendorf is being an honest broker.

“The CBO has put up a lot of red flags about the whole approach to the health care reform effort,” said Sen. Judd Gregg, R-N.H.

“We’re creating an entitlement here that could easily rival the size of Medicare,” said Rep. Paul Ryan, R-Wis. “History shows the pay-fors evaporate, but the expenditures continue.”

Senate Budget Committee Chairman Kent Conrad, D-N.D., said Elmendorf’s views won’t hurt the overhaul effort. “It imposes a very useful discipline on the whole process,” Conrad said. “Does it make it harder? Sure it does. Paying for things is hard.”

The False Choice versus The Patients’ Choice
    By Paul Ryan
    Representing Wisconsin’s 1st Congressional District

The President reiterated a false choice that is damaging the open, honest health care debate that we deserve.

The President frames the debate as:

The government must take over the management of health care OR continue with the failed status-quo of today.

He continues to challenge his critics by asking, “What is the alternative?”

He knows that there are alternatives – better alternatives where the patient, not the government, is at the center of health care in America.

He knows that we have introduced the Patients’ Choice Act of 2009.

He knows this, and is simply hoping that the American people don’t know it.

It should be noted that Democrats haven’t yet introduced a bill – we have.

*** The Patients’ Choice Act is a real proposal with actual legislative text, demonstrating that we can have universal health insurance in this country without the government taking it over. ***

President Obama made the case today in Green Bay, Wisconsin, for a government-centric approach to reforming an issue of tremendous economic and personal importance for all Americans.

We will continue to make the case for an approach where patients and doctors are the nucleus of health care in America.

We will continue to make the case for health care reform rooted in faith in the individual.

We stand ready to engage in a serious health care debate, and are hopeful President Obama and Congressional leaders in Washington are willing to give the American people a health care debate they deserve.

My quick spin on Obama’s financial reform plan

After perusing the 85-page draft, a few brief thoughts come to mind, though more later:

    6) And as I have written before, giving the Fed more regulatory influence inherently makes it a more political institution. Better to have it focus on monetary policy. This is going to be BIG issue for Congress.

  89. rosettasister Says:

Hey, what about taxes and housing policy?

What is missing in the White House financial reform plan?

Two gaping holes in the white paper are housing policy and tax policy.

Overall, the white paper offers a highly skewed narrative of the financial crisis. All of the misbehavior took place in the private sector.

No mention is made of government policies that contributed. Instead, the story is one of government that needed a better regulatory structure and more powers.

Intellectually, this is a very disappointing piece of work. But given political considerations, I cannot say that I am surprised.

  90. rosettasister Says:

About that Consumer Financial Protection Agency …

Lastly, the plan wants to create an new regulatory body to oversee consumer financial products.

The Consumer Financial Protection Agency or CFPA would have broad powers to regulate all aspects of the sector from mortgages to credit cards to bank accounts.

While President Obama has expressed his desire that this new agency not regulate interest rates on credit cards, I would imagine it would be difficult to control once it gets into operation.

Mortgages, home equity loans, debit cards, and credit cards would all come under some committee in Congress and have sweeping authority to set rules.

  91. rosettasister Says:

The Senate on Wednesday made its first stab at overhauling the nation’s health care system in the Obama era, with Republicans demanding specific cost totals amid eye-popping estimates of $1 trillion-plus and Democrats determined to press ahead. (June 17)

  92. rosettasister Says:

Dems pledge lower cost health bill

Stung by Republican criticism of the $1.3 trillion price-tag on Sen. Ted Kennedy’s health bill, Democrats involved in Senate Finance Committee negotiations pledged Tuesday night to release a plan that keeps costs lower – but still about $1 trillion over 10 years.

    It won’t be easy.

The Congressional Budget Office estimated that an earlier version of the Finance Committee bill would top $1.5 trillion, so the $1 trillion mark means lawmakers will need to look for cuts.

One target is lowering the amount of federal subsidies provided to lower-income people who buy insurance in a government exchange, senators said Tuesday.

“We will end up with a bill that is more on the low side than the high side,” Chairman Max Baucus (D-Mont.) said.

Hours after Democratic Senate aides began anonymously telling reporters about the committee’s bottom line, Baucus confirmed Tuesday night that he and Sen. Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa) will introduce a budget-neutral bill that comes in around $1 trillion. The committee had planned to release a draft bill Wednesday, but Baucus said it isn’t likely to come until later in the week, at the earliest, and possibly early next week.

UN Appeals for Urgent Aid for Pakistanis Displaced by Army Offensive Against Taliban

The UN High Commissioner for Refugees is appealing to the international community for more than $600 million for millions of Pakistanis displaced by fighting between the army and the Taliban militants. He said the world must give assistance, not out of generosity, but also in self-interest. VOA reports new fighting in a region dominated by militants reportedly is forcing more people from their homes.

Pakistani Taliban leader Baitullah Mehsud is the target of a new offensive the army says it is planning in the tribal region of South Waziristan.

“The government has taken a principled decision to launch a military operation against Baitullah Mehsud and his network,” General Athar Abbas, a Pakistani military spokesman said.

Local reports from South Waziristan say some residents have already fled their homes after reports of clashes in the region.

There is no doubt that the Usurper is a US Citizen.
that is not the issue. What is at issue is if he is a natural born citizen. And the only way that can be is if he was born on US soil.
and the only way to prove that is his ORIGINAL long form BC. he has released a short form COLB, but strangely and suspiciously, has sealed his long form.
His supporters insist that the COLB is good enough. So if there is nothing to hide, then why hide the original long form? Why pay thousands of dollars in legal fees to keep it sealed?
Given that, among other evidence, I strongly suspect that he is not a natural born citizen.

Not so fast. There is no proof that Obama was born in Hawaii, and the mounting evidence is pointing towards a birth in Africa. At the time of his alleged birth, his mother was under eighteen and his father was a British national here in this country on a student visa. His mom was too young to automatically pass along her citizenship to him, and if Obama was not born on US soil, then he is not even a US citizen, let alone a natural-born one.
    that is not the issue.
That is exactly half of the issue.
What is at issue is if he is a natural born citizen.
Yes, but that is not the only issue, nor is it the one that would actually remove him from office.
And the only way that can be is if he was born on US soil.

Both true! If the paper original long-form actually exists.
he has released a short form COLB
Not true! He had someone fabricate a forged COLB image and post it on the Internet.
His supporters insist that the COLB is good enough.
True! But it would not be good enough. even if it were real.
So if there is nothing to hide, then why hide the original long form?
Exactly! If the paper original long-form actually exists.
If Why pay thousands of dollars in legal fees to keep it sealed?
True, but it’s up to $1 million, and counting. The legal fees are to keep hidden his true birth origins

Given that, among other evidence, I strongly suspect that he is not a natural born citizen.

Apparently, Obama’s COLB was Revised on November, 2001. Does anybody know what sort of “revisions” they are talking about?
The revisions were (1) a change to a new, computer-generated certificate form that automatically retrieves birth record data to populate the data fields on the form.
The other change was in the specific information that it now contained: basically, the bare minimum to legally establish date of birth (e.g., August 4, 1961), place of birth (e.g., Hawaii), and date filed (e.g., August 8, 1961).
The names and races of the parents are of secondary importance, at best, because the more important parental data is left out, such as citizenship status or immigration status, marital status, and length of residency.
On another hotly contested feature on Obama’s COLB was the listing of his father’s race as AFRICAN. From my phone conversations, I learned that the DOH has been appling the same race classification rules as does the Census for responses that fall outside of their pre-selected categories.
Thereis a category labeled, “Some other race,” and there’s a line for the Census taker to record what the race responses provided by residents, which do include continents like Latin American or Central American and South American. Therefore, recording AFRICAN as Obama Sr’s race would have been acceptable to Hawaii.
From what I’ve read, Hawaii started a major scam shortly after they became a state. Hawaii decided to “convert” all of their Asian immigrants into Hawaiian citizens by sending them short-form birth certificates. These new citizens would then make it possible for Hawaii to receive federal monies for the social services, health services, and educational services that they provided to this undocumented Asian population.
If this is true, and I have not seen anything to the contrary, Madelyn Dunham probably knew what Hawaii was doing, and may have “used the system” to help daughter Ann secure a birth certificate for African-born Barack.
If this scam were to be uncovered, imagine all of the grief that would befall Hawaii. For this reason, Hawaii has been tight-lipped about wjhere Obama was born, and refusing to release any other information from his original birth record.

It’s been at least a year since I read the details, but I believe that there is a legal procedure for altering a COLB if, for example, you change your name. I think it requires a court order, but Obama could have arranged that easily enough through a Chicago judge, his legal place of residence, which I THINK would be accepted in Hawaii.
Similarly, I believe you could change “negro” to “African,” or even change the citizenship if you had the proper documentation to do it.
So, the original certificate of live birth remains unchanged, but COLBs can be updated if the proper procedures are followed. That’s my recollection of the rules.

The rules are far more simpler than that.
ANYONE can walk into Hawaii’s DOH, at any time, and tell them that he’s never had a copy of his birth certificate. All he has to do next is
    (a) fill out a COLB request,
    (b) sign a statement that he was born in Hawaii,
    (c) provide proof of identity:a drivers’ license or government-issued ID would work, and
    (d) proof of residency for the past year, and…
    BINGO! A freshly printed COLB!
If the requester has an original birth certificate on file, and wants to amend it, all he has to do is (a) and (c), and…
    BINGO! A freshly printed COLB!

Exhibit Z (Is that anything like Planet Z?!)

I’ve been thinking about the appearance of a page from Obama Consipracy Theories in a motion in a federal lawsuit (Hamblin v. Obama).

Since Clark Hamblin is representing himself, I assume that he personally visited this web site and copied the page which became Exhibit Z to his motion. This is a remarkable connection between the discussion here and the real people filing lawsuits.

I was interviewed by Orange County Weekly

for an article on Orly Taitz that I believe will appear June 18. Even someone from visited and read a few of these pages.

Things like this encourage me to be “more serious” with the web site’s coverage. I don’t plan to change the wisecracking attitude, but I may try to cover some things more thoroughly, and not just what’s new and interesting.

“Exhibit Z” sounds like a great name for “the final word” on a subject.

It’s a worthy goal to live up to such a name.

    Hi Rose –

This is Purple Patriot, but I guess I’ll be “pertheconstitution” now, since I started a blog by that name here at wordpress. I originally started it for just family and friends, to try to bring them up to speed, and kept it private at first. But interest has spread (just a little), so I decided to make it public.

And – of course! – I’d like to invite you and the rest of your gang to come check it out:

You were definitely my inspiration – but I’m in no way trying to compete (as if!!!). I’m just trying to highlight people and organizations that understand the problem and are already working on the solution – like the TEA parties and Tenacity’s Committees of Safety and the Continental Congress – and help everyone find a way to get involved. I’m just now starting to post links to relevant articles. I have a page at the top for comments if anyone has any suggestions or ideas.

Per The Constitution is completely non-partisan. I’m too disgusted with both major parties to give either one any credit. But I’ll give credit to anyone in any party who does right by We The People and our Constitution.

Thanks again for all you do, Rose.
