House Democrat Leaders: Tea Partiers Are Racist, Nazi, Gun Nuts

“Queen of Hearts” Pelosi Fosters Class Warfare

Off with their heads!
Off with their heads, I say!
Lop them off, and chop them off,
and pop them off, I say!
Off with their heads!
Off! Off! Off! Off!
Off with every little one of their heads!

If the Obama administration has taken flak for suggesting that conservative groups might be home to domestic terrorists, it looks like some House Democrat leaders are willing to go even further:

But in an interview on Fox TV in San Francisco, Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) chalked up the GOP grass-roots effort as “AstroTurf.”

“This initiative is funded by the high end; we call it AstroTurf, it’s not really a grass-roots movement. It’s AstroTurf by some of the wealthiest people in America to keep the focus on tax cuts for the rich instead of for the great middle class,” Pelosi said.

If this is a conversation they want to have, however, perhaps Ms. Pelosi can explain the role of Marxists and North Korean sympathizers in the U.S. anti-war movement, or discuss how George Soros bought such influence in the Democratic party. It’s not a debate that would help Democrats, since it’s relatively easy to show the role of fringe extremists in the Democratic grassroots.

‘Senior Democrats’ ought to have the courage to publicly assert what they’re whispering to the media. But if they’re afraid to admit that they’re slandering hundreds of thousands of grassroots organizers and activists, is it too much to hope that some reporter will share a copy of these secret talking points?

How on earth did Nancy Pelosi figure out that this is all about tax cuts for the rich?! Oh, she’s clever, that one!

This has absolutely nothing to do with us not wanting to run budget deficits equivalent to those we did during World War II.

Earth to Queen Pelosi – Most of us understand that some spending is necessary.

But you and Reid and Obama want to spend like there’s no tomorrow.

The sun’ll come out. Tomorrow Bet your bottom dollar. That tomorrow. There’ll be sun!

Hundreds of anti-tax ‘tea parties’ have been held all over the US by protesters who think Obama’s bank bailout and stimulus package are mortgaging the future for an easier present.

JB I am shocked that he released this information–its another sad day for America. He’s out to destroy our military with the constant smacks at our brave men and women and now he demoralizes those who work behind the scenes to keep us safe. Every time I hear this crap about what we did to these terrorists I think of Daniel Pearl and the others who have been tortured and beheaded by these fanatics.

Here’s some of the tea party I attended. About 400 ppl.

  36. ryansgrammy Says:

The 4th of July is perfect. Even if you’re vacationing somewhere in the US, I’m sure there will be a tea party nearby. I am sooooo charged up after going to a tea party. There’s one in my area around Flag Day too! The more the morons beat us down, the more the silent majority will rise up. I can tell you a story about a local organizer of a tea party. She ought to write a letter to the wicked w i t c h of the west. This woman is a mother of 4 whose husband works in the DC area during the week so he can make decent money. He can’t afford a hotel so he sleeps in his shop at night and comes home on the weekends to be with his family. They started off their tea party with a prayer and everyone in this little town who attended was energized. These politicians are just clueless. Just think of all of the military members the w i t c h insulted too with her description of the tea party goers. T erm L imits for C ongress!

  37. Katie Says:

I am appalled the OB team thought fit to release those memos. If Americans don’t see that they have a very bad agenda going on with this Pres. then they are well and truly screwed. His transparency crap is given to our enemies, not us. If illegals are given amnesty, his coup will be complete. The voters in this country better be lining up now to vote to change the make-up in Congress so there will be some checks and balances again. State sovereignty will be more important than ever too. I just hope that is not too late. We may be taken over before then since our defenses are being dismantled at every turn. The military may also end up more important than even we thought in this whole mess.

HH: Now you are a consultant to Fox News, and so we disclose that. I’m not. I appear on whoever wants to have me.

But I was embarrassed by CNN’s coverage yesterday, especially the reporter in Chicago, Susan Roesgen I guess her name is.

What did you make of the attempt by non-Fox networks to categorize what was a huge story as essentially astroturfing, and ginned up by Fox?

KR: Well, I thought it was interesting, though, one of the people who called it Astroturf was Nancy Pelosi.

It sounded like CNN and others were taking their cues from the leadership of the House Democratic caucus.

Look, you could not look at these things and not be impressed with the spontaneity, and the intenseness, and the…this was amateur hour.

These were people who were coming out not because some well-oiled machine generated them out.

It was because they felt intensely about these concerns about taxes and spending, and what’s happening to our country.

And look, these people couldn’t find each other before the 15th of April. They may not be able to find themselves again easily after the 15th of April. They sort of poured out.

It was a convenient place, you know, it’s tax day, you know, show up at the Post Office and people showed up.

But this was, this is the tone deafness of people like Nancy Pelosi.

She looked at this and dismissed this as the creation of some vast right wing conspiracy, and reality, it is an expression of ordinary Americans, some of them Democrats, some of the Republicans, many of them independents…remember, we’ve seen these people before.

They popped up in 1992, and they were concerned deeply about deficits and the debt, and the course of the country.

And they were the people who unglued the electorate in 1990 and 1992.

They’re the people who largely supplied the votes for Ross Perot, but provided the fluidity in the system that caused the election of Bill Clinton.

And then two years later, caused massive reaction to the election of Clinton by the election of the Republican majorities in the House and Senate in Washington.

HH: Now I’ve got to ask you about the Homeland Security report.

Today, Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano promised to meet and clear the air with veterans groups, saying that an apology is owed, and saying to the extent that veterans read it as an accusation, an apology is owed.

This is the thinnest, goofiest, stupidest report, and I’ve seen a lot of thin, goofy, stupid reports out of the government, Mark Steyn.

Did you read the nine pages of dreck that came from Homeland Security?

MS: Yes, and I understand that where, as you say, this is government work, and so one shouldn’t hold it to too high standards.

But the guy who wrote this is too stupid even for government work.

    HH: Yup.

MS: What is dangerous about it, aside from the insults of the veterans, this idea that you know, all these soldiers are going to be coming back from Iraq riddled with post-traumatic stress disorder, and they’re going to be berserk and gunning down people at the lunch counter, is disgraceful.

But beyond that is the broader tenor of the report, which is not dealing with groups who advocate violence or anything like that. It’s attempting to criminalize ideas.

If like me you believe in the 10th Amendment, if you think that one of the great glories of this country is American federalism and decentralized government at the lowest accountable level, this report says ideas like that put you on the fast track to crazy right wing extremism.

Sorry, I pass. I had that all up in Canada. The Canadian government actually attempts to criminalize opinion, and dragged me and my magazine before three government tribunals.

I don’t want that happening south of the border, too.

  42. rosettasister Says:

Olga the Russian hairdresser (How did I miss this story?!)

HH: You can read all of Mark’s analysis at Mark, I’m tempted to begin with Olga the Russian hairdresser, though. You’re the only one who spotted that story thus far.

MS: (laughing) Yes, yes I am. It’s a cautionary tale not to hold up a hair salon in Russia. This guy went in with a gun, he told all the stylists and the clients to drop to the floor and give them all their money. And at that point, Olga…

    HH: (laughing)

MS: …Olga punched him in the gut, bent him up double, wrapped a hair dryer cord around him, dragged him into a storeroom, handcuffed him to the radiator, pumped him full of Viagra, and had her way with him for 48 hours. The guy’s now recovering in a hospital, and I think we need to get Olga patrolling the Somali coast, because she’s clearly what’s needed.

HH: It’s clearly…she manned up in a hurry there, and then just made him into her boy toy for two days. And it’s really one of the most remarkable stories. So how often do you read the Moscow Times anyway, Mark Steyn?

MS: I don’t read the Moscow Times that often, but I must say that particular column in there, their crime watch column, does have some amazing stories. You know, in many way it’s a sad comment on Russia that this totalitarian state has sort of devolved instantly into a massive violent kleptocracy without going through any intervening stage of real liberty. But it is full of some bizarre stories.

  43. rosettasister Says:

Hair Stylist Keeps Armed Robber as Sex Slave

Olga was apparently incensed when she learned of the complaint. She had, after all, even tried to be nice to her purported captive.

“What a jerk,” quoted her as saying. “Yeah, there were a few times. But I bought him new jeans, gave him food and drink, and gave him 1,000 rubles when he left.”

  44. rosettasister Says:

    Smoke and Mirrors!

Obama’s Tax Cuts and Tax Hikes

President Obama was talking up his record as a tax cutter earlier today.

Hard to believe, then, that the Washington consensus is that taxes are going up for everybody in the future.

I mean, take your pick — income taxes, business taxes, investment taxes, energy taxes and healthcare taxes.

Tax wonks are salivating over different ways they can raise revenue to pay for Obamacare.

A value-added tax? A carbon tax. Not hearing much about that today.

  45. rosettasister Says:

Geithner and More Money for the Banks

The White House believes more taxpayer capital will likely be needed beyond whatever TARP money is still left. So what are Treasury Secretary TimGeithner’s options.

I think this about covers it:

    1) Devote less money to the PPIP and TALF programs.

    2) Free up money by using non-TARP money for the auto and housing bailouts.

    3) Use the FDIC, which is attempting to expand it credit line to $500 billion, as a source of bailout funds.

    4) Encourage, at some point, banks to repay their TARP injections so the money can be recycled.

    Bottom line:

Unless the economy explodes upward, the White House will ask for more funds.

Should be a fun battle to watch.

    (Fun?! More like excruciating!)

  46. rosettasister Says:

But how will this affect the market price of my home?

Fun Housing Factoid of the Day

    This from First Trust Advisers:

However, the stage is now set for a major turnaround in home building that will begin late this year and contribute substantially to the economy in 2010-11.

Once the excess inventory is worked off completely, population growth and knock-downs will require about 1.6 million starts per year, which is more than triple the current rate.

In other words, starts must climb 200% in the next few years just to get back to normal!

What exactly did Rick Perry say, anyway?

Texas Gov. Rick Perry fired up an anti-tax “tea party” with his stance against the federal government and for states’ rights as some in his U.S. flag-waving audience shouted, “Secede!”

An animated Perry told the crowd at Austin City Hall — one of three tea parties he was attending across the state — that officials in Washington have abandoned the country’s founding principles of limited government. He said the federal government is strangling Americans with taxation, spending and debt.

Later, answering news reporters’ questions, Perry suggested Texans might at some point get so fed up they would want to secede from the union, though he said he sees no reason why Texas should do that.

“There’s a lot of different scenarios,” Perry said. “We’ve got a great union. There’s absolutely no reason to dissolve it. But if Washington continues to thumb their nose at the American people, you know, who knows what might come out of that. But Texas is a very unique place, and we’re a pretty independent lot to boot.”

(Apparently, there are secessionists up Canada way, too.)

Union with Canada was hotly contested and it still stirs debate, as Newfoundlanders ponder the decision

Did state election papers include eligibility perjury?

Campaign seeks investigation by attorneys general of documentation

Tens of thousands of faxes and letters are being sent to attorneys general in all 50 states asking them to investigate whether President Obama’s state elections submissions included an affirmation that he is qualified and eligible to hold the office of president – and whether those statements constitute perjury.

The campaign has been assembled by Gary Kreep of the United States Justice Foundation,

which already is involved in the issue with a case in California on behalf of presidential candidate and former Ambassador Alan Keyes.

That case challenges Obama’s eligibility to be on the ballot in California and is on appeal now after being delayed for months in the federal court system.

The campaign states, “Frankly, the evidence that Barack Hussein Obama was born in Africa – not Hawaii as he claims – and, therefore, cannot serve as the president of the United States, is compelling.”

  54. rosettasister Says:

From Polarik – I’ve just excerpted a portion. You may want to read the whole thing.

“It’s a valid Hawaii state birth certificate,” spokesman Janice Okubo told us.

    Then the firestorm started:

    • Where is the embossed seal and the registrar’s signature?

    • Comparing it to other Hawaii birth certificates, the color shade is different.

    • Isn’t the date stamp bleeding through the back of the document “June 2007?” (Odd since it was supposedly released in June 2008.)

    • There’s no crease from being folded and mailed.

    • It’s clearly Photoshopped and a wholesale fraud. Well, she did quote Okubo again who said, as to why the Seal and the Registrar stamp are not shown, “the scan was made of the front side and they would not be seen because they are on the back side.”

A simple solution to that problem would have been for anyone to get off their backside and request a scan of the reverse side.

That is, of course, if there really was a reverse side of a genuine COLB to scan – which we now know is imaginary.

  55. rosettasister Says:

    Secondary Documents?

Here’s more from the DHHL document:

    Secondary Documents

There are times when the birth certificates for yourself and/or your parents or grandparents are not available and you have gotten “No-record” certifications from DOH.

The following are some of the secondary documents which may be
used. The list is in the preferred order of priority:

    • Certified marriage certificates for your biological parents,
    • grandparents, etc. (If these are not available, you will need a
“No-record” certification from the Department of Health.)
    • Certified death certificates for your biological parents,
grandparents, etc. (If these are not available, you will need a
“No-record” certification from the Department of Health.)
    • Family history charts and documents such as marriage, divorce
and death records from the State of Hawai`i Archives, state
    courts, public libraries or U.S. Census records**;
    • Official baptismal records from your church or other church
    • documents showing your race or the race of your ancestors;
    • Official records from the files of military services, schools or hospitals.

**Notice that it said “marriage, divorce AND death records,” (not OR) from State of Hawai`i Archives, state courts, public libraries or U.S. Census records” (and NOT from the Internet).

Hmmm. Any wonder why these secondary records are not available for Obama either??

  56. rosettasister Says:

    Deep doodoo!

    To: little jeremiah

“Just asking for clarity – a person can ask for their original Certificate of Live Birth even if they don’t want it for DHHL purposes, right? (This is probably a “duh” question but I am sort of a “duh” person!)”

Well, yes, if you mean that the person doesn’t actually want or need it for DHHL purposes. They just have to write that they do, and the “Door shall be open to them.”

“So they have SOMETHING on record for him, which could be showing his birth in HI or elsewhere. Am I right?”

Well, yes, they said that they have “his original birth certificate” ON RECORD, amd I have no doubt that Fukino and Onaka KNOW exactly where Obama was born, and to whom, but they will not confirm what’s on it because of its volatility, and the fact that its contents refute the contents of the phony COLB.

The only way for Hawaii to be Obama’s place of birth would be if his birth record listed someone other than Obama Sr. as his father. Otherwise, there’s no big woof in releasing it.

“And it is obvious from your other comment that they absolutely did NOT say that they personally viewed his original BC with their eyes nor did they even hint or insinuate where he was actually born.”

Yes, that is exactly what they avoided saying, but as I said above, I think they know that O would be in deep doodoo if his actual birth record were made public.

Check that, THEY (Onaka and Fukino) would be in deep doodoo if they even so much as breathed a word about its true contents. That is, unless they want a very early and hasty retirement.

Obama’s Dodge (Obama has domestic-policy ADD)

Obama seems to lack either the political will or the ability to make the truly tough calls when it comes to dealing with the financial crisis.

The path of least resistance is the path that President Bush and his Treasury secretary, Hank Paulson, blazed with the Troubled Asset Relief Program (TARP) — a program that has outlived its economic usefulness but doubled its political usefulness by becoming a blank check that the administration can use for everything from rescuing Detroit to bailing out the life-insurance industry.

Congress’s most urgent priority when it returns from its Easter recess should be to curtail the administration’s TARP power.

As evidenced by his speech, Obama has domestic-policy ADD.

He won’t confront the financial crisis directly until resource constraints force his hand.

Holy Sh!t. That is quite the rap sheet Lisa has. I found the campaign donations to BS via Western Union from the Middle East to be very revealing. I mean, of course, it was well documented that there was massive fraud via the internet but that is the first I had heard of the WU avenue. Barry had no choice (in his evil mind) but to bow to his king of finances did he?

MY HEAD IS SPINNING. Again. No, make that, STILL.
Gotta get some fresh air-it’s a beautiful day here in MI.

Could someone comment from up thread why Stanley Ann Dunham would want to be incognito for so long if that is possible even? Do we know? Any speculation? Seems really bizarre to me.

Also re CNN reporter: I was waiting for that fact to come out. Spurned by Fox and she has never forgotten it. Too funny and she probably will be out at CNN before she knows it. What a farce. She needs to find a job where she doesn’t interact with normal people. A reporter she’s not.

Incognito – I had to look that one up.

    1. having one’s identity concealed, as under an assumed name, esp. to avoid notice or formal attentions.

    2. with the real identity concealed: to travel incognito.

    Sorry, ain’t got nothing!

From day one I told everyone I knew that flight 93 was shot down by our military….The truth finally comes out….FYI, a plane did NOT hit the Pentagon either….The Pentagon was hit with a missile.

  72. Katie Says:

Get ready for the liberal lie. (I’m sure it has nothing to do with avoiding criticism) Something like, ’she was so overwhelmed with support we had to shut down the email address as it hampered our journalistic integrity’.

Hogwash! We have a voice and when we all apply it, we make a difference!

AVOIDING CRITICISM – CNN Shuts Down Anti-Tea Party Reporters Email

  73. Troy Says:

My email sent to CNN Executive VP and Pres/CEO
I DEMAND that Susan Roesgen be FIRED IMMEDIATELY and that Anderson Cooper issue an
on-air heartfelt apology to me and all other CNN viewers for their despicable comments and behavior regarding the non partisan tea parties.

If either one of these demands are not met, then I will no longer view or support CNN and I will also lobby every person that I know to do the same.

Kitty Pilgrim, filling in for Lou Dobbs, was the ONLY commentator at CNN that reported on the
NON-PARTISAN GRASSROOTS tea party protests, that were spawned in opposition of an out of control federal government, with an ounce of unbiased commentary.

You had better WAKE UP CNN while you still barely have an audience remaining.

    Insulted CNN viewer,

  75. Troy Says:

Check this kid out….and he didn’t even need a teleprompter.

  76. Katie Says:

Troy – my email was short and sweet. Since Roesgen herself said it wasn’t “family viewing” I agreed and let them know this family will never watch CNN again. Period.

  77. Katie Says:

Things that make you go ‘hmmm’. Citizen Wells pulled the entire story and comments about Orly from his main page.

I finally figured it out. I’m in the Twilight Zone!

    Hi Rose,

I am one of your dedicated “lurkers” who enjoy reading your blog daily–enjoy the music, the discourse, and the links to other sources of information.

However, I take issue to Troy’s posting above regarding 9/11. The Pentagon WAS hit by a plane September 11. I, and at least a dozen others, witnessed the attack in abject horror from the 12th floor of our office building in nearby Arlington. We had a full panoramic view on a beautiful day with clear blue skies. I still have nightmares.

    Yes, Debby.

I fear we shared a similar experience that day.

    Remembering September 11, 2001

You know, for the longest time I couldn’t even speak of it.

My husband believes I suffer from post-traumatic stress disorder.

Well, if I do, so do a lot of other people.
