Jack Frost

Her father, my grandfather, Raymond, was the mayor of Weehawken, New Jersey. I never knew him.

My Uncle Tony Bongiovanni claims to be the first civilian to drive through the Lincoln Tunnel. I don’t doubt it.

While this FAKE outrage in Congress and the media is going on about the bonuses, keep in mind the following:

“…the re-distributor-in-chief hopes you won’t notice where much of the rest of the AIG bailout cash is being spent.

While $58 billion of your tax dollars — or more accurately, your children’s tax dollars — are being used to pay foreign banks, a substantial portion of that money ($43.5 billion) is being used to pay American banks, including Goldman Sachs, Merill Lynch, Bank of America, Citigroup, Wachovia, Morgan Stanley, AIG International, and JP Morgan.

The following recipients of President Obama’s trickle-down-to-my-donors bailout plan rank among his top 20 contributors to his 2008 presidential election campaign, according to Open Secrets:

    Goldman Sachs: $955,473
    Citigroup: $653,468
JP Morgan Chase & Co.: $646,058
    Morgan Stanley: $485,823

Time to cancel some credit cards. I refuse to help them profit to pay the usurper!

    111th CONGRESS
    1st Session
    H. CON. RES. 13

Expressing the sense of Congress that the Supreme Court misinterpreted
the First Amendment to the Constitution in the case of Buckley v.
    Valeo.

    _______________________________________________________________________

    IN THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES

    January 8, 2009

Ms. Kaptur (for herself and Mr. Higgins) submitted the following
concurrent resolution; which was referred to the Committee on the
    Judiciary

    _______________________________________________________________________

    CONCURRENT RESOLUTION

Expressing the sense of Congress that the Supreme Court misinterpreted
the First Amendment to the Constitution in the case of Buckley v.
    Valeo.

Resolved by the House of Representatives (the Senate concurring),
That it is the sense of Congress that the Supreme Court misinterpreted
the First Amendment to the Constitution in its decision in the 1976
case of Buckley v. Valeo because–
    (1) the decision failed to recognize that the unlimited
spending of large amounts of money on elections has a corrosive
effect on the electoral process not simply because of direct
transactions between those who give large amounts of money and
candidates and elected officials but because the presence of
unlimited amounts of money corrupts the process on a more
    fundamental level; and
    (2) the decision failed to recognize other legitimate state
interests which justify limiting money in campaigns, including
the need to preserve the integrity of our republican form of
government, restore public confidence in government, and ensure
all citizens a more equal opportunity to participate in the
    political process.

WHAT?? – unlimited spending of large amounts of money on elections has a corrosive effect on the electoral process not simply because of direct transactions between those who give large amounts of money and
candidates and elected officials but because the presence of
unlimited amounts of money corrupts the process on a more
    fundamental level;

Did someone forget that this is exactly what Obama did. “THE PRESENCE OF UNLIMITED AMOUNTS … CORRUPTS THE PROCESS…”

Maybe I am reading this wrong……………

    Hey, jr!

Well, I guess the only ones we really have to concern ourselves about are the bills that actually have a chance of making it out of the House and Senate and to Obama’s desk.

    Happy St. Patrick’s!

  10. jrinNC Says:

I guess you are right Rose. Well all of I have to say is Congress should be concentrating on the current situation and not all that BS that I saw on all of those bills.

Yes, Happy St. Paddy’s Day to All. I have a little of the Irish in me also.

  11. jrinNC Says:

Ten – don’t know if you know about this group, but thought you might be interested:

    http://faithandfreedominstitute.com/

Dr Gary Dull is the pastor who is supporting David Wilkerson in his current warning.

  12. jrinNC Says:

Cindy – GREAT Web Site. Thru your links, I was able to go and sign the petition for NC to declare sovereignty. NC sticks out like a big hole with all the states around it declaring or attempting to declare. We are also having a tea party in Raleigh on 21 Mar. I am planning to attend this one as I was not able to attend the one in Fayetteville.

  13. JAC Says:

Glad to Help JrinNC and thanks…. been working on it for the last few days…

  14. Tenacity Says:

Speaking of MIA…I’ve been busy, ill, overwhelmed and woke up this morning with vertigo. I’ve got a lot of catching up to do. I’m not 100% yet, but happy to be on the mend.

  15. jrinNC Says:

Ten – Glad you are on the mend. Have missed your input. Even though I don’t post that often, I still lurk and try to keep up with what is going on.

  16. JAC Says:

    Ten,
glad to see you feeling better 🙂

  17. Tenacity Says:

    jrinNC,
Yes, Gary Dull’s message is the one that needs most to be heard and is most seldom listened to.

    II CHRONICLES 7:14
If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.

At the national level, most of the patriot groups avoid this message in fear that some will be turned off. The absence of implementing it’s principle may be the downfall of us all.

  18. Tenacity Says:

Since I am not up for reading 3 days of threads at the moment…anything earth shattering that I missed or point my nose in the right direction.

  19. jrinNC Says:

Ten, I agree 100%. I am doing what I can in that respect. I approached my pastor to hold a seminar for those who are interested in learning how the current situation will cause God’s wrath to come sooner than they think. Hopefully it awaken people to what is going on. Many I am afraid are totally oblivious to all of it. They see what is happening but don’t understand why. I plan to point out the things Dr. Dull is stressing.

  20. JAC Says:

    jrinNC

The hate law Bammy is thinking about propossing is enough for religious leader to get upset….
The way I read it (it has been awhile) that if someone sneezed and you said “God bless you” you could be arrested for a hate crime if that person said you offended them……

  21. Tenacity Says:

    jrinNC
I’m constantly reminding myself to stay alert for God’s intended purpose for me. I keep praying that he will arm me for bear. Somehow I fear that his idea of arming me and mine are not the same.

  22. JAC Says:

    bbl~

  23. jrinNC Says:

Yes, my pastor is very upset. I have to hand it to him. He can preach a sermon around all this stuff without stepping out of bounds, but you definitely get the message.

Ten – a couple of things I have seen are the postings of Troy on the “Obama Deception” video – sorry don’t know the link right off top of my head. Also, Troy has been posting on Leo Donofrio’s site. Leo has really been letting loose.

  24. jrinNC Says:

Ten – I just pray that God will lead me where he wants me to go. I struggle to keep from being overly alarmed. Keep the faith always, he will protect us. And you are right he will arm you with his protective armor not ours.

  25. Tenacity Says:

I saw the Deception video and downloaded it. Jones is phenomenal and I pray the FBI gets off his back.

Troy sees Leo’s weaknesses and Leo needs to be challenged. Egos and pride are not easy for any of us to introspect without denial. Leo has a lot of talent to contribute. He will be more effective when he realizes how insignificant he is. His humanism shows through, even when he expresses his faith. The human mind is not capable of solving all of our problems. Sometimes the fight is physical and most of the time it is spiritual.

  26. jrinNC Says:

Well I personally feel that our fight now is spiritual. Yes, Leo does come across a little too strong at times. I think that even though he learned his lesson the first go around, he is letting his defenses back up a little too strongly. Or maybe I should say his passion for this fight is not aligned totally with his faith.

  27. Troy Says:

I honor of St. Patty’s day here is an old Irish folk song….It has been a favorite in pubs for many many years….The origins of the song date back further than anyone has been able to pin point and believed to go as far back as the 15th century…..It has been performed by many and was popularized in the U.S. in the early 70’s by Thin Lizzy and most recently by Metallica….Musha ring da-ma-doo-da-ma-da.

    “Whiskey in the Jar”

  28. Troy Says:

Rose, did you see the story that I posted for you in the previous thread?

  29. jrinNC Says:

Wow Metallica – takes me back to the days when my daughter, who is now 34, was so head over heels over that group – LOL

  30. Troy Says:

Well, I’m almost 49 and I dig ’em too.

  31. jrinNC Says:

Well, lets say I am a lot older than 49 and I appreciate them.

  32. Troy Says:

BTW, if any one was wondering, I tore the fish up today!!!….I caught my legal limit and a few more to boot. 😀

  33. Troy Says:

  34. jrinNC Says:

Troy – I envy your day. I love to fish. Unfortunately I only go when the weather is warmer. So relaxing. I have a very good spot I go to and the puppy drum and spots are usually plentiful – not to mention crabbing as well.

  35. jrinNC Says:

Yeah, Troy, looks that way. Cindy was here earlier and I guess Ten is catching up. Very quiet. But I too am getting ready to hit the sack, almost 11:00 here. So I will leave everything in your capable hands. By the way, enjoy your posts on Leo’s site. Always anxious to see how he responds to you. Have a good night.

Troy, I saw your story about your Golden named Missy and enjoyed it very much! Believe it or not, I had a Golden Retriever back in the day, too. Her name? Missy. My dad got her from a family whose son or father had to leave for Vietnam and she was s’posed to be a great hunting dog. Well, the first time my dad took her hunting, she chased and caught up to -a skunk. My dad was so pissed, he never took her again. She would rather have stayed home in the house with the adoring child(ren) anyway.
    You see,
where she used to live, she was kept outside, chained up to a dog house as her home.

One day, Missy was tied to the passenger side of our Burgundy Buick Wildcat and my brother did not know and left in it to run an errand. Missy ran (for her life) along side the car to the top of our street before somone was able to yell loud enough for my bro to stop.

We bred her once and sold all the pups, except the runt. He was a bit of a tard and my g-ma ended up with him and called him Red.

Missy lived a good long life. She will always be my favorite childhood pet (we had a few) and I recall very well the day after we had her put to sleep due to a goiter. It was one year after my dad had died and I was in the fourth grade. My teacher could tell that I was not my usual obnoxious, energetic self and when i told her Missy died, she told me to lay my head down and rest. I cried myself to sleep. The End.

    Happy St. Patty’s Day, Everyone.

I just don’t trust any of them when they all seem to get worked up about the same grand problem. CJ,
Lame Cherry has been posting for sometime now that Bo’s financiers are the Europeans, who engineered the US financial collapse and Bo’s accession.

A post there today goes along the lines of your suspicion of distraction not only about the bonus flap, but also Bo’s recent turnabout pronouncement that the economy is sound. Lame Cherry’s information is that the capitalists have begun to turn this around and that Bo is now exposed.

    Very interesting stuff.

  66. CJ Says:

Well, I went to LameCherry and maybe found my answer. Very interesting reading that also jives with what Rush Limbaugh mentioned on his show. Wow what is going on at levels internationally that we have no knowledge of is very disconcerting if true. These money people are ruthless and have been for generations it seems. Are we regular folk ever truly free? Or are we controlled and don’t even recognize how much? Sometimes I wonder if we ever can be free in the sense we all think of freedom. Make the most of your days, love your family, help those you can and respect and enjoy the earth’s special gifts. Maybe our lives need to be lived within our own circle because we can’t control forces beyond that, but we sure can protect what we have. American citizens need to stand strong.

Well said. It is hard to sort through what is going on but the evil is there. America indeed stands alone. One nation under God.

  68. Tenacity Says:

Also, watch for the middle class to be sucked back into the stock market one more time before they bury it again. Remember, they play both the inflation and deflation cycles. They intend to make the middle class destitute to diminish resistance to the NAU & NWO.

  69. ddlew2 Says:

Personally, in my most humble opinion, the government doesn’t have the right to tell ANY OF THESE COMPANIES what they can or cannot do with the bail out money. If Congress can accept the responsibility to dole out the cash (our cash) to the “free market” then they assume the same risks as ANYONE or ANY ENTITY that makes that investment.

The bottom line is that we should have allowed some of these companies to go bankrupt to begin with and THEN….MAYBE, assisted the companies that were left standing. And like I said THATS A BIG MAYBE!

  70. Tenacity Says:

Lame Cherry, whoever that is, obviously has some unique sources. I see speculation in this article. Maybe some truth, but I’m not totally convinced. I see holes in the somewhat wishful thinking. This article seeks logical explanation for what may just be deception.

    Obama Cuts Weapons

The Russians and the Chinese have just both announced military buildups, and the Iranian nuclear threat was described as, “real” — “dangerous.”

Venezuela offered an island off its Caribbean coast as a support base for strategic Russian bombers. Cuba could be used to base Russian aircraft, too. North Korea threatened war.

Osama bin Laden called for a renewed jihad.

    What did Obama do?

He ordered the Secretary of Defense to prepare for the most far-reaching reduction in the Pentagon’s weapons portfolio since the end of the Cold War, according to aides.

Two defense officials who were not authorized to speak publicly said Robert M. Gates will announce up to a half-dozen major weapons cancellations later this month. Candidates include a new Navy destroyer, the Air Force’s F-22 fighter jet, and Army ground-combat vehicles, the officials said.

More cuts are planned for later this year, after a review that could lead to reductions in programs such as aircraft carriers and nuclear arms, the officials said.

He’s only doing what he promised he’d do (video). Sometimes, about some things, you can take this guy’s word to the bank.

    3/17/09 Cuts Pilot’s Program Too

After the September 11 attacks, commercial airline pilots were allowed to carry guns if they completed a federal-safety program. No longer would unarmed pilots be defenseless as remorseless hijackers seized control of aircraft and rammed them into buildings.

Now President Obama is quietly ending the federal firearms program, risking public safety on airlines in the name of an anti-gun ideology.

The Obama administration this past week diverted some $2 million from the pilot training program to hire more supervisory staff, who will engage in field inspections.

Armed pilots are a cost-effective backup layer of security. Terrorists can only enter the cockpit through one narrow entrance, and armed pilots have some time to prepare themselves as hijackers penetrate the strengthened cockpit doors. With pilots, we have people who are willing to take on the burden of protecting the planes for free. About 70 percent of the pilots at major American carriers have military backgrounds.

Frankly, as a matter of pure politics, we cannot understand what the administration is thinking. Nearly 40 House Democrats are in districts were the NRA is more popular than House Speaker Nancy Pelosi. We can’t find any independent poll in which the public is demanding that pilots disarm. Why does this move make sense?

Only anti-gun extremists and terrorists are worried about armed pilots. So why is the Obama administration catering to these tiny lobbies at the expense of public safety?

    “The Red Conspiracy”

    By: Joseph J. Mereto

    Published in 1920

Loyal and patriotic citizens of America judging from the progress that has been made in the past in matters of social reform have every reason for looking forward confidently to the success of their efforts unless indeed the Revolutionists, by greatly increasing their numbers, should divide the working men of our country into two big parties comprising respectively the Socialists and the anti Socialists; whose main purpose it would then be to fight each other instead of joining forces against social abuses.

If the Revolutionists should gain very large numbers of recruits there would be, on the one hand, a great party consisting of those whose object it would be to destroy our present form of government, as well as the entire industrial system, and on the other an opposition party embracing good citizens and men of common sense and intelligence who, because of their realization of the blessings which privately owned industries and our constitutional form of government have bestowed upon the people of America, would be determined to shed the last drop of their blood in defense of them.

The Socialists however are not satisfied with social reform but are bent on the total destruction of our system of government and industry, holding the system itself rather than the faults and shortcomings of men, to be by its very nature responsible for all the economic evils of the day. Down with the Stars and Stripes is their cry. Abolish religion and the present form of marriage. Atheism and free love must reign supreme!

  75. JAC Says:

    Modern Day Tea Parties

Have you noticed the little tea parties that have sprung up around the country? Is this just an impulse action by a few well informed and fed up people or do the roots go much deeper?

We all know about the original Boston Tea Party when American citizens dressed up like Indians, went aboard an English ship and threw the cargo of tea into Boston Harbor. They were incensed because King George III had put an exorbitant tax on tea.

The tea was available from Dutch sources at a much cheaper price but the King had made it a law that Americans had to purchase the heavily taxed British tea.

Since Americans had no voice in the English Parliment or the English Court the battle cry was, “Taxation without representation.”

So what is the analogy between the Boston Tea Party and the present day public demonstrations?

Here’s how I look at it.

We don’t have a monarchy in this nation, but it appears that Harry Reid and Nancy Pelosi seem to think they’ve been crowned as they have little or no regard for what the people of this nation want.

They simply get their Democratic majority together, along with defective Republicans, give everybody a piece of the pork pie and proceed to spend money that your great grandchildren will probably be paying off.

President Obama has broken promise after promise to the people who put him in office, rushing that massive trillion dollar-spending bill through Congress before any single member of the House and Senate had even read it.

How asinine is this, the Congress and Senate of the United States signed off on a bill they haven’t even read. They don’t even know what’s in it. That’s down right criminal in my book.

Why even have a Congress and Senate? Just let King Harry and Queen Nancy draw up what they want and have a rubber stamp for everybody else. That’s basically what has happened.

Obama told us, “no more earmarks” and he has gone back on his word. In essence he has abdicated his power to Pelosi and Reid rather than protecting the American people.

You guys really should have read the bill because now the sordid details are coming out and it makes you look like a bunch of dunces.

For instance, the whole spending package was supposed to be about the creation of jobs. If you had read the bill you would have known that all the infrastructure jobs the bill supposedly creates will have to be paid union scale, which cuts the amount of jobs just about in half.

    Great job guys!!!

And how about the billions of dollars you gave the banks without any stipulation about having to lend the money out? Small and large companies are going out of business every day because of this little oversight.

And you people actually expect We The People to trust you to fix everything?

I wouldn’t trust you to take my dog to the bathroom.

Nancy Pelosi is the best argument for term limits that I know. Her Congressional district is in San Francisco, just about the most liberal constituency in existence and the odds of them dumping her are about as good as me winning the Master’s Tournament.

Harry Reid’s seat may not be as firm, but so far the good people of Nevada have not shown any inclination to send him back to searchlight.

So, let’s hope the tea parties increase in intensity and number and grow into something awesome.

How about a million-person tea march on the Capitol Mall?

    What do you think?

    Pray for our troops

    God Bless America

Palinphobes and the audacity of type:

Now that the Obama presidency is nearing the 60-day mark, it’s time to thank those fastidious scribes on the left and the right who worked so hard to warn us against Gov. Sarah Palin of Alaska, and the dire things that would surely occur if she ever got close to executive power.

How right they were to insist that she was unfit for high office. Let’s just imagine what she might have done:

As president, she might have caused the stock market to plunge over 2,000 points in the six weeks after she assumed office, left important posts in the Treasury unfilled for two months, been described by insiders as ‘overwhelmed’ by the office, and then gone on to diss the British Prime Minister on his first state visit, giving him, as one head of state to another, a set of DVDs plucked from the aisles of Wal Mart, a tasteful gift, even if they can’t be played on a TV in Britain. (Note, the Prime Minister, who is losing his eyesight, may even be blind in one eye).

As vice president, she might have told Katie Couric that when the stock market crashed in 1929, President Franklin D. Roosevelt went on TV to reassure a terrified nation. Or on her first trip abroad as Secretary of State, she might have, as the AP reported, “raised eyebrows on her first visit to Europe…when she mispronounced her “EU counterparts names and claimed U.S. democracy was older than Europe’s,” then gave the Russian minister a gag “reset” button, on which the word “reset” was translated incorrectly…….

… companies may be getting some needed wiggle room to apply a cash flow value to certain hard-to-value assets rather than using the last transaction as the key benchmark.

Yardeni says that if the new FASB guidance happens, “companies could use the new guidance when issuing their first-quarter financial statements.

If so, then earnings should get a boost from the rule change.”

And as Larry Kudlow rightly puts it:

“I suggested that not one more dime of government money is necessary for the banks.

Instead, the marriage of the cash-flow valuation of bank assets and the upward-sloping Treasury yield curve will do the trick.

Net interest margins are rising as banks purchase money for near-zero interest and loan it out at profitable rates.

And the new mark-to-market reform will allow banks to hold their toxic assets for several more years and work them out — just as they did back in the 1990s.”

This also seems to be the Warren Buffett plan, by the way.

Why doesn’t Team Obama seem to realize this?

Maybe because the administration is filled with technocrats and academics — not that they are not fine Amerians all — who lack real-world business experience.

    EXCERPT

HH: Now Governor, next time we’ll do health care, because you’ve got a lot of experience in that, and it’s starting to heat up. But I do want to conclude by talking a little politics with you.

You gave the response to President Obama, you got banged around by a lot of critics in the media, some in the Republican Party. You’re back on the horse, obviously, talking again. What did that experience teach you if anything?

BJ: Well, a couple of things. Look, I’ll be the first to tell you I’m not nearly as good of a speaker as our president, and hat’s off to him.

But I hope people will focus on the substance.

You know, if people want to say great, look that governor down in Louisiana, he’s not, maybe he speaks too quickly, too slowly, I don’t have any problem with that.

My skin is thick, and I don’t have any problem with that. But I hope people don’t dismiss the ideas, because it’s a very important debate we need to have in this country.

Just because our president is charismatic and smart and popular doesn’t mean that we don’t need to have a real debate about the right role of government going forward, the right size of government.

And what I was saying that night was that when it comes to energy policy, we believe in nuclear as well as solar and wind and more domestic production of oil and gas. We believe in all of that.

When I talked about education, I talked about the school choice in initiative we did in New Orleans, and the fact that we believe in putting children first.

When I talked about taxes, we believe in cutting, not raising taxes.

When I talked about ethics reforms, talked about what we did in a bipartisan way in Louisiana.

In other words, I was outlining an alternative, and on that night, we only knew about the trillion dollar stimulus bill.

We didn’t know at that point they were going to sign the $410 billion dollar appropriations bill, an 8% increase.

We didn’t know at that point they were going to propose a $3.6 trillion dollar spending bill.

So what I hope people will do is look at what’s being…this is a huge shift, huge shift in the role, scope, size of government.

We all need to be concerned about this. We all need to be concerned.

Paragraph 63 is very important. If the judge is saying the lawsuit is frivolous and that the attorney and client should be sanctioned, then it opens the door to them showing just WHY it’s not frivolous. It’s not altogether dissimilar from accusing someone of libel – the accused then gets a chance to defend himself, truth being a defense.
Could the judge be opening the door to a fuller airing of this issue without knowing it?
I predict this Rule 11 hearing will go away quickly. If not, then again the door is opened a little more.
If sanctions are applied without giving the parties a chance to defend themselves, then we have indeed gone beyond the looking glass.

But Defense policy reversed after intervention by 2 Montana senators

    Fired brass shell casings

Responding to two Democratic senators representing outraged private gun owners, the Department of Defense announced last night it has scrapped a new policy that would deplete the supply of ammunition by requiring destruction of fired military cartridge brass.

The policy already had taken a bite out of the nation’s stressed ammunition supply, leaving arms dealers scrambling to find ammo for private gun owners.
