Say Your Peace!

by

May I ask of you just one thing?

Believe me, I know better than most the depth of animosity you righteously harbor against Obama.

Should I try to the count the ways, I fear I would find the task too wearisome.

This is what I ask.

Remember, like it or not, Obama is our Commander-in-Chief.

And until and if that fact changes, let’s remember that he is prosecuting our war in Iraq and in Afghanistan. And elsewhere we are fighting the War on Terror, or whatever you wish to call it.

Let’s not make the same mistake those on the left made.

I believe, and I will believe it until my dying day, that the left just went crazy, and diminished Bush’s capacity to prosecute a war that had to be fought, that has to be fought.

It is amazing to me that Bush was as successful as he was, all things considered, and he will ever possess my undying gratitude.

So fight the good fight, I’m not asking you to put aside your core beliefs.

But if standing up for your core beliefs becomes diametrically opposed to supporting our Commander-in-Chief at a time of war, I’m asking you to put aside your differences if it means that is what is best for our fighting men and women around the globe.

Never forget to put them first.

And let’s not let Obama forget that the people of Iraq and Afghanistan are also Children of God.

He gave them the gift of free will, and we have spent our blood and treasure trying to return their Creator’s gift to them.

So, Obama, please don’t screw it up!

Well, I’ve said my peace.

Is that quote yours? It is awesome. The reports are all available online at http://www.bunge.go.ke look under hansard. The Kenyans are modeling their new constitution after ours and are trying to be transparent. Irony at its best. O is mentioned a lot by his fellow proud countrymen from 2006 forward.

Ten- In the Jan20 Kenyan report Mr Musyoka again talks of his night call from O.
“Therefore, personally, I want to congratulate him. I have already written a personal letter to him because when I was appointed the Vice-President and Minister for Home Affairs, he called at midnight-our time- and said: ‘Mr. Vice-President,can you fix the problem that has now engulfed Kenya?’ I wrote to say: ‘Mr President-elect we have fixed it because we do have a Grand Coalition Government’ I think he will be very proud of us today.”

Who knows it this account is to cover for the first account of a vague problem needed sorting out or what ? He was quieted very quickly on Nov 5th when he spoke out about the call.

You know Rose, in most other elections for Pres. my candidate may have lost and I was ok with it. I was never afraid for my country just because my guy lost. I felt it was my American duty to support the President no matter what. This time, not so much. I’ve been around for a number of Presidential elections and have never felt like this before. The feeling is one of wrongness that I cannot shake. I keep waiting for the really bad stuff to drop on us and I am constantly expecting bad things from Washington to affect me and my family. Obama does not inspire any confidence in me because I absolutely hate liars and cover-ups. It’s disrespectful, arrogant and borderline evil the way Obama has conducted himself and his campaign. Now what is going to change in his Presidency? So far, all indications seem to be the same things will continue as in the campaign, except now, he is in charge and he has his cohorts in Congress with an illegal(voter fraud) majority. I am sorry, but I cannot give him my support and will be trying to help block his wishes every chance I can legally get. I already spent a good amount of time last night and this morning calling and emailing my reps to tell them how opposed I am to their welfare in disguise stimulus program. They know my vote will be for their opponent in the next election if they don’t revamp what is on the table now. Obama will never be my President. Sorry but true.

    EXCERPT

HH: Now we’ve lived for a long time with a rather slow-moving media culture that has been accelerating over the last ten years. And Obama rode the acceleration of his opinion rather rapidly from obscure state senator to president of the United States. Can it turn around on him that quickly?

VDH: Yeah, I think what’s going to happen is the media invested in Obama, so anytime that people like yourself or me wrote that they were worried about his Congressional election, where he sued to get people off the ballot, or they were worried about how both candidates, primary and general, dropped out in Illinois. They were worried about being the most partisan Senator.

We were demonized as hyper-partisan and worse. So the media gave this guy a blank slate, and they were embarrassed, because everybody knows there is no media now as we used to know it.

It’s Obama Inc. And now I don’t know if they’re going to want to do that twice, because if they don’t apply a standard they applied to every other candidate, Hillary, George Bush, they’re going to be completely discredited.

And they’re financially in a mess, in a meltdown. And morally, intellectually, ethically, they’re in a meltdown.

So I don’t know how long they’re going to follow all of this charade. I don’t think they can be an official state Pravda-like news agency forever.

“so then what makes a person afrikan?”

In your list I think you forgot to mention the all important factor of race. Many Pan Africanists seem to define African/Afrikan ( whatever ) as a native son of the soil which many have interpreted to mean a black person born in an African/Afrikan nation. Many leaders who are dubbed African revolutionaries have one thing in common, they have antagonistic domestic policies against the white populations of their nations regardless of the emblems on their passports and their citizenship.

I don’t think culture and heritage would qualify an individual’s place of origin because on a continent as vast as Africa their are so many cultures and heritages that nobody can reasonably qualify a universal cultural heritage.

    “Gates calls withdrawal agreement ‘watershed’”

    http://www.coastalcourier.com/news/article/11393/

Violence is low, Gates told the House members, but the potential exists for setbacks. “And there may be hard days ahead for our troops,” he told the representatives.

Even with the military drawdown, Gates said, he expects American presence will still be felt in Iraq.

“We should still expect to be involved in Iraq, on some level, for many years to come, assuming a sovereign Iraq continues to seek our partnership,” Gates said. This would be in an advisory and assistance mode negotiated between two sovereign nations, he said.

The secretary said President Barack Obama is committed to a responsible and safe drawdown of troops in the country. The president will hear from Multinational Force Iraq cCommander Army Gen. Raymond T. Odierno, U.S. Central Command chief Army Gen. David Petraeus and the members of the Joint Chiefs of Staff. In fact, Gates said, the president will meet with military leaders at the Pentagon tomorrow.

Gates said that he and Navy Adm. Mike Mullen, the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, will continue to have regular conversations with the president.

“We are laying out – with each of the options we will present to him – each of the commanders’ views of the risks that are associated with that timeline,” Gates said. “So I think that he has entirely asked for a range of options – including the 16-month – and we will give him that. He has asked for some of our assumptions and for more analysis in certain areas, and I think this is a very thorough and real process. I don’t think anybody associated with it in the Department of Defense thinks we are going through the motions, that a decision has already been made.”

Though the military’s focus is shifting from Iraq to Afghanistan, Gates said, Iraq remains crucial to the stability of the Middle East.

“See What People Are Saying About… Obama’s Bad Bank”

    http://www.cnbc.com/id/28894558?__source=RSS*blog*&par=RSS

In order to repair financial markets the government must create a so-called bad bank — that’s according to Laura Tyson, an economic adviser to the Obama administration.

Speaking at the annual meeting of the World Economic Forum, she said, “the natural next step is, which is real simple, you take the bad assets out, the balance sheets are hit really hard, you recapitalize banks with different rules, and they go out again and lend.”

However billionaire investor George Soros sees a bad bank as more of a band-aid than anything else. He calls the bad bank initiatives “only palliatives.”

Instead, Soros thinks the solution lies with a new bank.

“I would keep the capital of the banks together with the bad assets in the bad bank and then create a new bank…” His comments suggests, at least to me, that a key to recovery could be kicking the bums out of the corner offices, to put it plainly.

And that leads to our Fast Money Reader Poll. Do you think a bad bank will spark a recovery?

Do you think a bad bank will spark a recovery?

Yes, it addresses toxic assets and they’re the problem.

No, it leaves the same upper management in place, and they’re the problem.

What the hell is a “bad bank” anyway?!

$3 Billion stimulous goes to federal porn addicts
    *********************************************
Porn Part Of Job At U.S. Agency

    Wed, 01/28/2009 – 11:57 — Judicial Watch Blog

Employees at the multi billion-dollar federal agency that promotes science and national health spend substantial amounts of work hours viewing pornography on government computers yet a chunk of economic stimulus money is coming its way.

With an annual budget of $6.6 billion, the National Science Foundation (NSF) was created by Congress in 1950 to promote the progress of science, advance national health, prosperity and welfare and to secure national defense. The NSF has about 1,700 employees at its Arlington Virginia headquarters, including about 150 scientists from research institutions.

According to a 68-page semiannual report published by the NSF Inspector General, many of them spend quite a bit of time—often significant portions of their workdays—watching, downloading and e-mailing pornography. Investigators found “numerous reports” and more than half a dozen investigations into “abuse” of NSF information technology resources.

The abuse took place over periods of months or even years, according to the report, which states that one “senior official” spent as much as 20% of his working hours over a two-year interval viewing sexually explicit images and engaging in sexually explicit online chats with various women. The estimated cost to U.S. taxpayers for that one case was nearly $60,000, investigators said.

A selective sample of a single internal server at the agency found even more NSF workers harboring hard-core porn images on their government computer hard drives, according to the report. Overwhelmed investigators say the number of “inappropriate use” cases was too large to thoroughly probe them all.

The limited nature of the sampling—its restriction to only one computer drive—cannot therefore measure the actual extent of the misbehavior, the report points out. Yet, on the heels of this shameful revelation, the NSF will get $3 billion from the Democrat-sponsored economic stimulus bill making its way through Congress this week.

    http://www.connpost.com/ci_11566155?source=most_viewed

Obama met privately with House Republican members to seek their support for the economic stimulus package.

“The main message I have is that the statistics every day underscore the urgency of the economic situation. The American people expect action,” Obama said after the meeting. “I am absolutely confident that we can deal with these issues, but the key right now is to make sure that we keep politics to a minimum “¦ I don’t expect 100 percent agreement from my Republican colleagues, but I do hope that we can all put politics aside and do the American people’s business right now.”

House Republicans are hoping to trim the spending and increase the tax cuts in the recovery plan.

“The most encouraging statement I think the president made today was the fact that he had no pride of authorship in this bill,” said House Minority Whip Eric Cantor, R-Va. “We take that to mean that tomorrow’s vote is only the first step in the process, only the beginning. And we intend to take the president at his word and to continue to refine what it is.”

    http://www.istockanalyst.com/article/viewarticle/articleid/2989073

The market is getting a strong lift this morning on the news that the FDIC is in talks to create an aggregator bank that would buy the illiquid assets from other banks, which would allow them to get these assets off their balance sheets and minimize further write-downs and losses.

This news has investors very excited (the bank index is +13% higher), but the details of any such plan have yet to be figured out. Whatever the eventual outcome, this process is likely to take considerable time.

Nonetheless, it is another “mustard seed” being planted, as Larry Kudlow likes to say.

For 6 years, the Republicans had a majority control of all 3 branches of government. we, the Aemrican voters, are so sick of the special perks and goodies for the rich fatcat buddies of Bush and Cheney. Whether you want to admit it or not, we are in this economic mess becasue of Bush’s and Cheney’s policies. Regular people are sick of it. Now I’ve been letting the little digs at me go by for being against Bush and I’m getting sick of it.

I’ve told you and other before this is not the place to debate the past. You keep insisting on making the little false digs that the Clinton’s took all the W’s off the keyboards. Well, I am here to tell you, I KNOW people who were inside the WH who said that was a prack by Bush’s own people to discredit the Clinton staffers. It’s a dirty lie and I’m sick of the lies. The Aemrican voters gave this huge majority in Congress to the Democrats to sotp the gravy train to the rich at the expense of the middle and lower classes. You do remember all the perks to the oil & gas companies giving them self regulation ability for their own pollution and the unheard of profits greater than the previous 25 years combined? Those are GOP friends, not the Democratic friends. This war is KILLING our economy. It’s so far beyond bankrupt and you keep blaming the Democrats. It’s these damn wars of Bush’s based on his trumped up lies and misdirection. He always planned to start them as a means to siphon off all the resources for him and his family members and cornies.

Now, I don’t want to hear another crack about how great Bush and Cheney are. That is how we find ourselves in this mess. Barry came along, told people what they wanted to hear and now we’ve got this mess. Pelosi and dean engineered this illegal alien into office because voters are sick of the Bush Crime Family! Now that’s it. No more. You kept asking for it and you finally got it. We are going after Democrats. We’ve already been after Republicans. ********************************************
That is the ENTIRE problem…The constitution is not supposed to be viewed as living and breathing….That sucker is supposed to be stiff as a board and set in stone.

  48. Tenacity Says:

    Rose, Calli et al,

Technically, the Imposter in Chief is not President. Only those eligible under the Constitution can serve as POTUS. He is not eligible and thus not POTUS. Sometimes you need to let your heart be the guide. The constitution is wounded and we are certainly in a constitutional crisis, but it is still the highest law of the land. If it dies, it will be our fault for abdicating our rights and responsibilities as citizens.

What party is for more drilling, thus, lowering the price of oil, thus, lowering Oil companies profits. She’s living in fantasy land. When it comes down to moral charactor, i’d believe a repub over a democrat any day. Further more, how would removing a w from keyboard serve to discredit the Clinton Admin. they did a great job of that themselves. Dems have perpetrated the biggest fraud in american history and all i hear from here is blaming the repubs for the meltdown. I guess she also forgot that the dems had a pretty good majority in congress for the last two years and the GSE’s where their babies…

But, perhaps our nation will forgive Obama in spite of the truth staring us in the face.

He seems to want to do the right thing as regards the war(s) we are prosecuting.

And that is the most important thing to me.

I’ve said this before, I don’t believe it’s too late for Obama.

And I’ve said this before, too.

Perhaps the best we can hope for is that this never happens again.

Now we see a different tune. Honesty should be priority one. Did you catch the Gibbs press conference were the media was ragging on him for breaking his own rules. Gibbs said that his policies are the most transparent and strick as ever.

the press said, what good is that if you dont abide by it the policy that you say is the most stringent. so far all his policies make no sense, closing the missile shield, open talks to terrorist, his open talks show a sign of weakness that will only lead to more conflict.

If Bo is exposed, the corruption, evil and arrogance that elevated him are dealt a blow. Bo has shown no conscience. His policies and plans were all developed by the likes Soros and others who control him. He makes no decisions – he has no judgment.

I have never held politicians in high regard but this is a new game. This no longer politics, or left vs right – it is good vs evil, right vs wrong, integrity vs corruption.

I trust the military and intelligence community knows more than we can even suspect about Bo. I believe that the only hope is to open others’ eyes – to expose the evil that props him up.

    ————————
Slider, the words “War on Terror” always troubled me and I recently relaized why. I read on a blog (forget which one) that “declaring war on terror is like declaring war on hand grenades”.

i.e. terrorism is the weapon of our enemy, not the enemy itself.

Bush needed to declare war on Islam – the ideology and financing that is attacking America and freedom worldwide. He did not. The Saudis would not stand for it. He visited the mosque as he was told, to confirm that Islam was a religon of peace.

So while our military fights terrorism we have left wide open the front of Isalmization – of our politics, our laws, our culture, and our society. We have not drilled for oil or built nuclear plants, so we continue to fund war on ourselves with oil money. Those are fronts we all can fight.

Islam leaves little choice – if we do not fight, we convert, pay, or die anyway.

    well….here’s the thing

War on terror doesnt just encompass radical islam but anyone who would want to instill terror in the general masses. Without the term war, on can just assume that it’s not a military issue but a law enforcement one. Terror may mostly be Islamic in nature but not all, you have hindu terrorists, FARC terrorists and such.

Thats why i like the term war on terror. Having said that, one cant escape that most muslims arent terrorist, but most terrorists are muslim. Declaring War on terror, it has to be just that, they declared war on us, the least we can do is declare war on them. “terror” allows them to use a wider scope in gathering intel, from my understanding anyway.

It is hard to defend freedom of religion in a country founded on that concept and, in this case, call a spade a spade. There are some, who consider themselves Muslim, that are peaceful. NO DOUBT MICHELLE LETTER PICKED UP BY WHITE HOUSE

I thought I would share a cute joke with you as well.

One evening Obama , thinking he was being funny, said to Michelle ,’Perhaps we should start washing your clothes in ‘Slim Fast’. Maybe it would take a few inches off of your butt!’

Michelle was not amused, and decided that she simply couldn’t let such a comment go unrewarded. The next morning Obama took a pair of underwear out of his drawer. ‘What the Hell is
this?’ he said to himself as a little ‘dust’ cloud appeared when he shook them out.

‘Michelle’, he hollered into the bathroom, ‘Why did you put Talcum Powder in my underwear?’ She replied with a snicker. ‘It’s not talcum powder; it’s ‘Miracle Grow’!!!!!!

And after you pray for Obama’s soul, you might pay heed to this:

””That’s why I do not hesitate today in calling on godly Americans to pray that Barack Hussein Obama fail in his efforts to change our country from one anchored on self-governance and constitutional republicanism to one based on the raw and unlimited power of the central state.

It would be folly to pray for his success in such an evil campaign.

I want Obama to fail because his agenda is 100 percent at odds with God’s. Pretending it is not simply makes a mockery of God’s straightforward Commandments.””

    Rose –

Bless your heart. Thank you for giving our troops your wholehearted support. I have both friends and family who have fought in Afghanistan and/or Iraq. I have a nephew in Iraq as we speak – my sister’s only son – who left a wife and baby behind. I have a dog in the fight so to speak, so this is a matter near and dear to my heart. And it’s one reason I refuse to give up the good fight. My nephew doesn’t get to give up, and he’s laboring under much worse circumstances than I am. The least I can do is fight on the home front, while so many good men and women are fighting on the battle front.

But, like you, I’ve been horrified at how the war was politicized these many years, and, no, I will not vilify our president at the expense of our troops. I try to remember (and remind myself when I forget!) that everyone – including Obama – is presumed innocent until proven guilty. Therefore, my problem is with the system which has thus far refused to examine the case on its merits. The issue of Obama’s eligibility could have and should have been resolved already within the framework of the law. It’s Obama this time, but we need to make sure the process works so that no one can do this again.

    Thank you again.

Here’s an idea to start. For all the letters and emails and phone calls to Reps and Senate, start using a tag line or signature that says, “Do what you were hired to do or YOU ARE FIRED!” or “Abide by the Oath you swore to the Constitution or YOU ARE FIRED!”

    One small victory:

“House Republicans Defeat Bill to Delay Digital TV Transition”

Why is digital TV partisian you might ask. Bear with me on this one…….

On the surface Bo’s minions pitched this “helpin’ out the folks” who would not just be able to upgrade to digital TV in time.

Very few are actually impacted by the Digital TV switch anyway because there are not many analog sets left, and, most who do have one are unaffected because they have cable or satellite TV boxes.

The broadcast frequency spectrum freed up by switching off analog TV transmission, was sold to companies that will use it to provide city-wide or county-wide wireless broadband internet.

In reality this little House bill was actually a BoBo PayToPlay………Sprint and Clearwire have already invested a lot of money over the past few years building wireless broadband on more expensive broadcast spectrum they had to negotiate and buy. Verizon (and others) waited to buy up this”ready to go” analog TV spectrum from the FCC and are positioned to leapfrop Sprint to market at a lower cost.

So Sprint donated a wad of cash to Bo’s campagin. What they wanted in return, was a delay in the switch to Digtial TV. Delaying the switch would put Verizon’s access to the analog spectrum on hold, and let Sprint keep their time to market advantage.

    BoBo loses one for Sprint.

    Chicago, meet Washington 😀

I found this post at TD blog that I thought enhances the discussions going on here today:

    Carlyle At TD blog
    A Brilliant Informal Observation

This from a normal, non official, anonymous citizen. I think she hit the nail right on the head:

“I think anyone still using party divisions like Democrats vs. Republicans need to have their head examined. Evidence abounds that the GLOBALISTS are the enemy. We need to use only globalists vs. patriots in all future poliyical discussions and correspondence with Reps,Senators. We must let them know that we KNOW and call them out.The Globalists are the “bird flu” if you will, they have infiltrated all pillars of government.”

    – “Liz” – from Plains Radio Network message forum

That leads me to further observe, that one reason Muslims fit so well into all of this – as opposed to the other reasons we normally discuss – is that their basic philosophy and core beliefs are inherently Global. They are dead set against nation states – they pine for the global Caliphate they use to have.

In the interests of clarity, I would further add some loose definitions:

Globalist – stronger participation in and allegiance to an international government, a stronger role for the UN and international courts, proactive economic and cultural leveling, cultural and moral relativism, and broad pervasive government.

Patriot – stronger allegiance to the national government and the constitution, unwilling to relinquish power or control to bodies not subject to our constitution, maintenance of the judeo-christian moral compass of our founding fathers, and limited government.

    YOUR FIRED CAMPAIGN
We need to stand up on Saturday February 28, 2009 and let all of Government hear our voices heard loud and clear.
    Where?
In each state at its capital building for a 4 hour March to let them know they are “Fired” if they don’t start listening to the citizens they represent.
Too many of our rights are taken away by the very political figures we vote into office. They pretend to listen to us until they get into office, then they turn deaf..
So we need to shout loud and clear:
“Do what you were hired to do or YOU ARE FIRED!”
“Abide by the Oath you swore to the Constitution or YOU ARE FIRED!”
*They want to damage the 2nd Amendment with too many restrictions, and play sneaky with taxing ammo to support their agenda.
*The want to push extremism with Abortion rights, Half of American have moral issues with Abortion, and those who are Pro Abortion; the majority do not agree with extreme no time restriction acts.
*Courts ignore the Redress of Grievances giving to us as a Constitutional right. Groups have filed cases for over 10 years and have been ignored.

I just wanted to let you all know that my good friend, who thinks I am crazy because of all of this, sent me the new Globe today with the story “What Obama’s Hiding from America.” She said this was the most credible source she could find for my claims. While she laughed at it, even though I have been partly trying to distance myself from all of this for a while, I was excited to see another story. Guarantees were made behind closed doors by the dorks that FORCED the banks to make bad loans….The FED has called in it’s markers and so has foreign lenders / China….The “bailout” crap was smoke and mirrors to get the taxpayers to foot the bill for our governments crappy practices…..The trillion that they refused to show where it went, well it went offshore and to the FED…..It’s the equivelent of an investor making a crappy investment, losing his ass, and then sending thieves to rob the investors at gun point and then calling them the next day to say, “Hey, I can repay the money you lost because of my bad investment.

If it was just a bank problem, i could see the mistake, but packaging them in with good mortgages makes no sense at all. If you wanna sell solid mortgages in a package i could see the MBS as being a solid investment, but rolling them in with risky ones, giving it a AAA rating is just, well, seems like it was done on purpose. ********************************************
n 1938, a governmental agency named the National Mortgage Association of Washington was formed and soon was renamed Federal National Mortgage Association (FNMA or Fannie Mae). It was chartered by the US government as a corporation which buys Federal Housing Administration (FHA) and Veterans Administration (VA) mortgages on the secondary market, pools them, and sells them as “mortgage-backed securities” to investors on the open market. FNMA was privatized in 1968 as a “government sponsored enterprise” listed on the stock exchange.

Additionally, the 1970 Emergency Home Finance Act created a new secondary mortgage market participant, the Federal Home Loan Mortgage Corporation (FHLMC or Freddie Mac) to support conventional mortgages originated by thrift institutions. The Act also allowed FNMA to buy conventional mortgages in addition to FHA & VA.

Freddie Mac competed in the secondary market, where Fannie Mae had enjoyed a monopoly.

  255. Troy Says:

Mortgage backed securities can be considered to have been in the tens of trillions, if Credit Default Swaps are taken into account.

The total market value of all outstanding mortgages at the end of the first quarter of 2006 was approximately USD 6.1 trillion, according to The Bond Market Association. This is much larger than the market value of outstanding asset-backed securities. The MBS market overtook the market for US Treasury notes and bonds in 2000.

According to The Bond Market Association, gross U.S. issuance of agency MBS was:

    2005: USD 967 billion
    2004: USD 1,019 billion
    2003: USD 2,131 billion
    2002: USD 1,444 billion
    2001: USD 1,093 billion
The high liquidity of most mortgage-backed securities means that any investor wishing to take a position need not deal with the difficulties of theoretical pricing described below; the price of any bond is essentially quoted at fair value, with a very narrow bid/offer spread.[citation needed]

Reasons (other than speculation) for entering the market include the desire to hedge against a drop in prepayment rates (a critical business risk for any company specializing in refinancing) and certain predatory lending schemes.

    ______________
written by Linda Starr, January 29, 2009

I don’t thik you fully understand the situation in Kenya. First Barry helped his cousin Odinga raise over a million dollars here in America to run for office of president of Kenya. Then when his cousin lost, he advised the cousin to start race riots targeting women & children. In one instance alone, 32 women and children were locked up in a church and burned alive.
There were massive acts of violence and murder by his death squads. His cousin was considered a terrorist by the Kenya government. This went on until Barry won the first state in the priamries in Iowa. He immediately that night called the president of Kenya and began blackmailing him to make his cousin, the terrorist Odinga, the prime minister. Now this terrorist cousin Prime Minister has made it clear if anyone tries to produce his birth certificate, which the clerk there told us Barry was born there and he is in the birth registry, but they were warned not to produce anything about Barry.

Barry & his cousin are really nice guys, huh? No matter how he turns, we have him six ways from sundown.

    ________________
One of the more flagrant cases of corruption involving
Blagojevich and Obama was their part in rigging the IL Health
Planning Facilities Board. Obama was in the IL Senate at that
time and was instrumental in reducing the number of members
from 15 to 9. Why is that important? Because the governor, Rod
Blagojevich, had the power to appoint up to 5 members.
Blagojevich, in cahoots with Rezko and Levine, appointed
members that would follow their wishes and consequently Obama and
Blagojevich received campaign contributions from the new
members. The board was involved in bid rigging.

“These are the times that try men’s souls. The summer soldier and the
sunshine patriot will, in this crisis, shrink from the service of their country; but he that stands it now, deserves the love and thanks of man and woman.
Tyranny, like hell, is not easily conquered; yet we have this consolation with us, that the harder the conflict, the more glorious the triumph. What we obtain too cheap, we esteem too lightly: it is dearness only that gives every thing its value.
Heaven knows how to put a proper price upon its goods; and it would
be strange indeed if so celestial an article as freedom should not be highly rated.”

Morning everyone. I was wondering if I could ask an opinion of anyone here who wants to answer, as I trust your insights. Of all the people who are trying to stop Obama, which ones do you think are the most credible? I am trying to direct some friends to info about why I am so against Obama and afraid for our country right now. They are nice about it, but I think they think I am obsessed and not thinking clearly. I tell them, I am nuts, but in a constructive way. I always add I’m trying to save their a**** as well as my own and they need to be informed so they can make decisions that could be life changing in the future. They paid little or no attention during the campaigns and election, relying on msm for their information. Anyway, I want to direct them to credible people with solid facts and reputations so they know I’m serious and well-informed. I have my own thoughts on this, but would like to hear yours. Thanks so much!

  269. CJ Says:

One more thing, I found this inspirational and thought provoking advice yesterday and wanted to share it. This comes from a commencement address at LeTourneau University given by businessman Dale Crownover owner of a small but prosperous small business in Texas.

First a quote and then a story he told:

“In life, God will not grab your hand unless you reach out.”

” This is a story about twin boys in a small family who were complete opposites. One an optimist and the other a pessimist. Their father one day, wanted to see how they reacted to a situation he gave to them. He placed a pile of manure in the optimist’s room and a box of toys in the pessimist’s room.
When the boys got home from school, they immediately went to their respective rooms. The father later went upstairs to them.

The pessimist, with all his toys, was crying out loud. The father asked, “Why are you crying? You have all these neat toys to play with.” The little boy said he was crying because he did not know where he was going to put them all. He said that he was concerned because his friends might become jealous. He also was upset because he was going to have to spend a lot of money on batteries for many of them to work.

Finally, the father went down the hall to the optimist’s room where he heard his other son laughing and singing out loud, shoveling through all the manure.

The father asked him, “Why are you so happy shoveling through all this manure?” The boy responded, “Dad, with this much manure, there is bound to be a pony in here somewhere!”

Mr. Cownover told all the grads to”look for your pony” as they went on to their life after graduation. This sure made me pause and think about how I have been reacting to things lately. There’s a lesson here for all of us I think. Have a good morning all.

  270. Katie Says:

CJ – My wake up call began when I saw this list posted. I call it The Case of the Missing Documents. No other candidate in my lifetime has gotten away with hiding/sealing/ignoring the presentation of their background, and that led me to start researching. And the simple question of “WHY?” they’ve never been made available begs the obvious question.

From there, include some links to sites you trust for information. Ask them if they were selling and flying American flags at an inauguration that had Bush’s face or Palin’s face on them, would they be okay with that? Anytime they hear the name Obama, would they be okay with the same appointments (tax evader, conflicts of interest, socialist ties, etc.) if it were Bush or Palin doing the same thing?

People are scoffing at the Globe with their stories. Remember it was the Globe who broke the John Edwards scandal, and the media knew about it for many months beforehand and never said a word. Sounds familiar.

Re: the Missing Documents. Imagine how simple this would be if all those legitimate (as in non forged, physical documents) were just laid out on the table and we all agree to let the chips fall where they may.
I for one am willing to take that gamble. No Obama supporter will.

    Katie,
The Philly venue issues may be fabricated or they may be legit. I haven’t been given all the details. I was told second hand that there were requirements that WTPC was not willing to sign on to. I assumed that the variable time frame may have been a problem. It could be something else entirely. Let me give you an example of my thinking. If WTPC wanted to have a possible 30 day time frame but was only willing to commit to 2 weeks of payment, then the venue would want the right to book the remaining time or be paid for it to hold it. I also heard something about other events that may have conflicted. All is speculation at this point. They (the government) may have wanted to make it difficult. I will let you know as I gain real information.

I also know that some of our folks in Colorado are working on a venue here.
