EXCERPTS

In my last exclusive on the U.S. Supreme Court, December 15, 2008: ‘Has the U.S. Supreme Court No Shame?‘ I covered the cowardice by those justices earlier this week. I also wanted to let readers know that I put some of the legal documents from those cases, critical material from Leo Donofrio’s web site and the U.S. v. Wong Kim Ark, 169 U.S. 649 (1898) case on audio. One of the recordings is also Dr. Edwin Vieira’s column dated December 8, 2008; more on that below. This makes it easy for Americans who are overwhelmed with obligations to be able to listen to all this material on your computer, down load to a CD and listen while you drive or onto an IPod and listen on the commute train or on a plane.

Citizenship qualification under the U.S. Constitution

Obots are very passionate about their support of this man who has sealed up his life tight as Scrooge. Obama slaps his supporters in the face with each passing day by refusing to address this issue other than spending a whopping one million dollars to date to fight the exposure of all his lies. But, what can one expect since Obama’s base is Chicago, Illinois, a state that has produced some of the most corrupt elected officials in this history of this country.

Regular readers of my columns know that I sent a great deal of information to James Burrus, Chief of Election Fraud at the FBI in Washington, DC. I respectfully requested Burrus investigate Obama for violation of 18 U.S.C. §1343, wire fraud, for starters. In no uncertain terms, I told Burrus that Obama has always known he was not constitutionally eligible to be president of these united States of America, yet he still hustled for campaign donations in violation of the cited statute. Obama decided to gamble and use his massive power and influence to flim flam the American people. I’m sending this column and a CD to Burrus over night mail. The CD contains all five parts I just recorded (see first paragraph above). I am going to reinforce to Burrus that he must, if he hasn’t already, open an investigation into the criminal activities of Barack Hussein Obama.

You might use printer friendly below and send this column to your member of Congress (House and Senate) today.

http://www.house.gov/house/MemberWWW_by_State.shtml

http://www.senate.gov/

Just put it in an envelope and send it to one of their district offices. A few million should do the trick. Forget email, those offices get hundreds of thousands of them and use form responses. Forget sending it to DC. It’s quicker and local staff will pass a hard copy along to the boss. Let Congress know that when they meet on January 6, 2008, they have the power to stop this flim flam man from taking office and if they don’t, the legal quagmire and rage will simply escalate.

ddlew — Kay Hutchinson would also be a good bet, but I want to make sure you ALL send at least one letter to Lieberman, McConnell and Linder. Heck, let’s add Kay Hutchinson to that list!

There, we have 4 people we need to send letters to in the next 24 hours! Please make the effort—we all know what is at stake.

If anyone wants to send letters to anyone beyond these 4, as I have, please do so! Every little bit helps. Spread this effort onto other blogs so others may follow suit! Thanks team! You’re the best!

I have had kidney stones and that was a walk in the park compared to childbirth. I wrote Senator Hutchison.

    Senator Hutchison,

I am writing you today to address a very serious issue concerning President-Elect Barack Obama.

Ms. Hutchison, please understand that I am not someone from the far right fringe that wishes to infringe on the will of the voters but I feel that the voting public has been mislead as to the qualification of Barack Obama to hold the office of President of The United States.

According to the Constitution, only a “Natural Born” citizen may occupy the White House. Barack Obama admits on his own website (Fight the smears) that he is NOT a “Natural Born” citizen. He plainly admits that his father, Barack Obama Sr. was a citizen of Kenya, which at the time made both him and his son (Obama Jr) British Subjects.

The term “Natural Born” was specifically inserted by the framers of our Constitution to ensure that no one would hold the office of POTUS, that might have a dual allegiance.

The Constitution, itself, relies on “The Law of Nations” (Emmerich de Vattel), written 19 years prior to the signing of the Constitution, to define the term “Natural Born Citizen.”

There have been, and still are, cases before the Supreme Court addressing this very issue. The court has denied the cases, not based on the merits of the cases but on the decision the we, the common voter, do not have legal standing to vet a Presidential candidate. If the average citizen does not possess the legal authority to question the eligibility of a candidate; then who does? You. A sitting Senator can object to the certification of the elector’s votes.

Please Senator Hutchison, do some research on this subjuect. We have never in this nation’s history had a President that wasn’t born to a citizen mother and citizen father.

I am not arguing that Barack Obama is not a citizen but I am saying that he does not meet the Constitutional requirement of “Natural Born” status. The intent of the framers of our Constitution must be upheld or the Constitution is nothing more than a worthless piece of paper.

I am a father of two, Desert Shield/Storm Veteran (US NAVY), country loving, hard working Texan that can’t wait to elect you as Governor of the GREAT State of Texas!

Thank you for your consideration of this matter.

JAC… lol… It made me laugh too, thought of the gang when i saw it.

  10. Foxtrot Says:

Welcome jrh! Glad you liked my “birth” story! VERY TRUE!

ddlew–wonderful letter! See gang, it is very easy to do. I will repost my letter again so you make sure all the basic content is in there. However, do not copy and paste the exact letter as then they will think it is coming from one person. Pull some things from ddlew and some from mine. It doesn’t matter, but just get them out today as I believe they leave for the holidays tomorrow.

Remember, at the very least, SEND A LETTER TO SEN. LIEBERMAN, SEN. MCCONNELL, REP. LINDER, AND SEN. KAY BAILEY HUTCHINSON!

    Here it is again!

    Dear Senator McConnell,
With all due respect, are you simply going to sit by and certify the Electoral College votes when there is doubt in millions of Americans’ minds as to whether or not Obama is eligible to be President? According to a recent AOL poll, 52% of Americans think there is something fishy about Obama not showing his “Vault version of his birth certificate”. He has shown a forged certificate of live birth, which has been proven to be a forgery, even though Factcheck.org says to the contrary. This is now before the Supreme Court, and there are many lawsuits. The rumors that they were all dismissed because there was a lack of evidence is incorrect and stated by those who have not done their homework. They have been dismissed because SCOTUS has said those people did not have “standing”–it had nothing to do with the merits of the case. If we as American citizens don’t have “standing” in finding out if our soon to be President is eligible, then who does? Millions of us know Obama is NOT “natural born”. Heck, his own Kenyan Grandmother is on tape saying she was “in the delivery room when Barack Obama Jr was born”–the same testimony came from two other relatives in Kenya. Now they are changing their story and one can be certain it is because Mr. Obama got to them to stop saying it (even though they had been saying it for a year prior). Obama has sealed EVERY SINGLE RECORD FROM HIS PAST! That doesn’t give you cause to pause? His medical records (he only provided a letter from his doctor, his college records (which we all suspect are sealed because it will show he applied as a foreign student), his passport records, the list goes on and on! One would need to ask not only for his vault version of his birth certificate, but to see his college files as well. Otherwise, when the vault birth certificate shows he was not born here, he will simply use the same excuses he always does when caught like “My mother deceived me and I didn’t know” OR “I was unaware of it”. He would have been 18 when applying to college so he would have been more than aware of his citizenship by then. The State of Hawaii never declared Obama “was born there” as is floating on the web. You need to find the actual quote, it said we have his birth record. That is different. They were very careful about how they worded it. We know the birth record will show he was not born in Hawaii but rather Kenya.

Now, let’s say for the sake of argument that he was born in Hawaii (which millions of us believe is NOT true), then he still would not be eligible because when his mother married Lolo Soetoro and went to Indonesia, Indonesia did not allow dual citizenship at the time. Therefore, he would have had to have renounced his U.S. citizenship in order to attend school there because Indonesia did not allow anyone who was not a citizen to attend their schools. So, even when he eventually came back to the United States, he would have to take the Oath of citizenship again here, and there is no record of him doing so. Again, even if he DID take the oath, it now makes him a “naturalized” citizen and STILL ineligble to be POTUS.

So you see, with either scenario, he is not “natural born” and therefore, not eligible to be President of the United States. If you, as Senate Minority Leader, do not stand up about this potential Constitutional Crisis, for all Americans, than you are not the Patriot I thought you were! Can you honestly sleep at night if ten years down the road this all comes out, and it will, and you did nothing to stop it? The media has been afraid to ask the tough questions or vet this man. Please have the courage to do it for us!

I am not some kook on the “fringe”. I am a Mom of three, active in my community, with a long history of family in the military service.

Just ask yourself these questions . . . have you ever seen a candidate for President with so little about his past made available? And, why would someone spend upwards of $800,000 on attorneys to block anyone from seeing the vault version of his birth certificate when he need only spend $10 to show it? Again, it doesn’t take a rocket scientist to figure this one out!

Mike Gallagher interviewed him (audio link I posted yesterday).

“Shut up about the birth certificate.”

    http://article.nationalreview.com/?q=MjQyOTgxM2M0YWMxOTdhZDcwMzlmMDU1ZGYxNzFkMmQ=
Obviously, I do not concur with the analogy Horowitz makes between those who never got over Bush’s “selection” in 2000 and those of us who have been trying to get our so-called “free press” to do its job vetting Obama.

At the time I saw nothing wrong with Gore fighting until the fight was lost.

And if we fail in our endeavors this time, it won’t be due to lack of effort on our part.

Let’s keep fighting until the end.

I don’t condone violence, but many of us are realist, we see not only this election but many area’s of government that have in simple terms have gone rogue and are in it for the power and not the people.

We know there might come a day when we have to stop using our typing fingers on the keyboard and stand up for what we believe in.
Time and circumstances will dictate when or if that will ever have to happen… The civil war is an example when it has happen in the past.

We all pray that will NEVER be the case….
Obama is just the poster child of all the is corrupt and what enough money can buy in Government.

I think one of the reasons we are fighting so hard to show how OB is not qualified is because this will show other areas of government the true citizens of the US are not pawns in their political power game.
We have became a nation of not party, but extremist. We just want things back on a even keel.

I had such faith that our highest court in our land would uphold the constitution. It is so scandalous that money and power talk. What is even worse is that there is no sneeking or hiding it. it is right out there in plain view, no need for cover ups anymore. So sickening to me.

Ksinde –You can’t let a few setbacks get you down! I know it is easier said than done, but we are but a few voices that have to affect enormous change! Nothing short of our Constitution depends on it. Everytime I start to feel down about the court denials, etc, I think about all those who have served and lost their lives–the men and women who defended our country and the Constitution. To back away from this issue now would be like spitting on the Constitution and those that have served valiantly. I am ready to do what needs to be done (short of violence) and will pledge to keep up the fight until we get the TRUE and JUST resolution! Are ya’ with me?!?!?!?

“When Obama became president of the Harvard Law Review, Rezko interviewed him for a job working for one of Rezko’s companies. Obama turned down the job, but instead accepted more indirect employment at the law firm representing a series of Rezko’s not-for-profit partners in the series of transactions to build and rehab low income housing that are now the subject of federal indictment in Chicago which US Attorney Patrick Fitzgerald described as “pay to play on steroids.”

Obama was an attorney with a small Chicago law firm — Davis Miner Barnhill & Galland — that helped Rezmar get more than $43 million in government funding to rehab 15 of their 30 apartment buildings for the poor.

Resko got millions of dollars to build and rehab low income housing and according to the government, embezzled the money. The people in those houses had no heat, no water. They lived in squalor–many in Obama’s State senate district. You could assume constituent complaints would have come in and Obama’s law firm did the legal work for those government contracts and grants. Yet he denies knowing about it.”

Ksinde — how big were your babies? The smallest one I had was 8 lbs. 12 oz! I am talking watermellons! The largest was 9 lbs. 6 oz—all of them were delivered NON C-section!

The worst pain I have ever had is spinal pain. I actually had to have surgery and it was very difficult. It was actually “black out” pain. I would try to get up or walk and down I went. That was the worst pain I have ever had because it involved “nerves”. Wouldn’t wish it on anyone! My pain threshhold is almost super human too–or so my doctor tells me. So if I say the spinal pain I had was a 10 on a scale of one to ten, I mean it!

They say childbirth gets easier as you have more because you get ‘stretched out’ (sorry guys, plug your ears). However, I had a doctor who believed in episiotomies that took you back to age 15 again (if you get my drift). As I said, painful every time—especially with my big watermellon babies!

    RESOLUTION
Recognizing that John Sidney McCain, III, is a natural born citizen.

    Whereas the Constitution of the United States requires that, to be eligible for the Office of the President, a person must be a `natural born Citizen’ of the United States;

    Whereas the term `natural born Citizen’, as that term appears in Article II, Section 1, is not defined in the Constitution of the United States;

    Whereas there is no evidence of the intention of the Framers or any Congress to limit the constitutional rights of children born to Americans serving in the military nor to prevent those children from serving as their country’s President;

    Whereas such limitations would be inconsistent with the purpose and intent of the `natural born Citizen’ clause of the Constitution of the United States, as evidenced by the First Congress’s own statute defining the term `natural born Citizen’;

    Whereas the well-being of all citizens of the United States is preserved and enhanced by the men and women who are assigned to serve our country outside of our national borders;

Whereas previous presidential candidates were born outside of the United States of America and were understood to be eligible to be President; and

Whereas John Sidney McCain, III, was born to American citizens on an American military base in the Panama Canal Zone in 1936: Now, therefore, be it

    **********************************************
    Dear Mr. XXXXX:

Thank you for contacting me regarding President-elect Barack Obama. I appreciate having the benefit of your comments on this matter.

As you know, on January 20, 2009, Barack Obama will be sworn in as the forty-fourth President of the United States of America. As we enter the 111th Congress, our nation faces many challenges. We are in the midst of tough economic times, and the federal government must stand on the side of taxpayers and small businesses. Now more than ever, we need fiscal discipline in Washington. I welcome President-elect Obama’s commitment to reform the federal budget process and rein in wasteful government spending, and I will hold the President-elect accountable as Congress works to quickly identify and eliminate inefficient, ineffective, and outdated federal programs.

Families across Texas and the nation are forced to make tough financial decisions each day—the federal government should be no different. But year after year too many government programs are funded because there are small—but vocal—special interest groups backing them with little Congressional oversight to determine when ideas have run their course. The American people have a right to know how their hard earned dollars are being spent, and I will continue to support making our government more transparent, accountable, and efficient.

While strengthening the economy must remain a priority, we must also find bipartisan solutions to address other critical issues facing our nation while continuing to advance conservative principles such as limited government, lower taxes, family values, and fighting against those who seek to destroy the American way of life. The consequences of continued inaction are too great. It is imperative that Congress act quickly to secure our borders, reform our country’s immigration laws, modernize healthcare, and promote energy independence. You may be certain that I will continue to pursue conservative initiatives that reinforce the principles upon which our country was founded while holding the new Administration accountable to the American people.

I appreciate having the opportunity to represent the interests of Texans in the United States Senate. Thank you for taking the time to contact me.

    Sincerely,

    JOHN CORNYN

My hubby is anything BUT typical —one in a million! As he tells his buddies frequently in regard to pain factors, “some things we simply have to be smart enough to relinquish to women because we know we can never win, and childbirth is one of them!” As I said, INTELLIGENT GUY! LOL!

    Hehehe.

Well, hey, all I can say is that I have been told that the pain of kidney stones is comparable to giving birth. I mean, women get kidney stones too, even those who have given birth. Though I can’t say I’ve ever been told that by a woman who has had kidney stones who has also given birth.

I suppose it’s possible that the claim was just made up by some man looking for some sympathy. Or perhaps something got lost in translation, and it was that the pain was comparable to labor pains rather than the actual birth.

So just to keep you happy and off my back, I will refrain from making that comment again until such time as I hear it from a woman who has both given birth and had kidney stones. 😉

Why do you have to grab at one thing and beat it to death??

I don’t. I’ve grabbed at many things and beat them to death.

I don’t condone violence, but many of us are realist, we see not only this election but many area’s of government that have in simple terms have gone rogue and are in it for the power and not the people.

Well, there’s nothing forcing anyone to vote for those who are in it for the power and not the people.

We know there might come a day when we have to stop using our typing fingers on the keyboard and stand up for what we believe in.

But the whole idea of a democratic republic was that people use their fingers to vote to stand up for what they believe in.

Time and circumstances will dictate when or if that will ever have to happen… The civil war is an example when it has happen in the past.

But the Civil War was about independence (i.e. secession), not the violent overthrow of a standing government.

We all pray that will NEVER be the case….
Obama is just the poster child of all the is corrupt and what enough money can buy in Government.

I haven’t seen that anything has been bought with regard to Obama and Article II.

I think one of the reasons we are fighting so hard to show how OB is not qualified is because this will show other areas of government the true citizens of the US are not pawns in their political power game.

Seems to me the best way to do that would be to stop voting for those who see public service as a source of power. Which would pretty much exclude anyone who is a member of either the Democratic or Republican parties.

    EXCERPT

Crowds often carry grim connotations in the West, particularly in America, where the civic space between people stands in contrast to the “teeming shore” of The New Colossus, Emma Lazarus’s sonnet on the Statue of Liberty.

Some commentators have voiced disquiet at the people-pulling power of the President-elect: “Those vast Obama crowds,” Fouad Ajami, an expert on the Middle East, wrote in The Wall Street Journal, “recalled for me the politics of charisma that wrecked Arab and Muslim societies.”

For most of the 20th century, crowds have spelt danger and demagoguery – the brutal iconography of Leni Riefenstahl’s marching Nazis, the baying mob whipped up by the agitator.

The 1928 film The Crowd concerned a man crushed by the conformity of the mass, the enemy of American individuality.

Hitler’s personal library in Berchtesgaden contained works on manipulating crowd psychology, admiringly annotated by the Führer himself.

Obama is taking a 10 day vacation to hawaii. Is this the only place he likes to visit?I think he is up to no good again.A group of people should have a vigil 24/7 around the place where his bc is vaulted.Have every entrance to that building watched.Armed with a video camera. The more people the better. This way they could each take turns with 2 hour watches Time is running out.

I think it’s a shame we shut down all our state mental hospitals back in the 70s and 80s. 😉

Is this the only place he likes to visit?

Well, let’s see. He was born there. Had family there, and probably has friends. And who wouldn’t want to visit Hawaii in the middle of December?

And besides, if he were up to something nefarious, why would he have to actually go there?

    k

  140. jjones Says:

    koyaan Says:
And besides, if he were up to something nefarious, why would he have to actually go there?

I think BO might have all kinds of nefarring going on, but I really doubt that he would personally go get his own BC… why, when he can just have a fake one made ? 🙂

  141. Foxtrot Says:

jjones — Hawaii is absolutely gorgeous and ripe with history. If you ever have an opportunity to go, you simply MUST. Don’t let one bad apple spoil it for you. The people of Hawaii are lovely and the flora and fawna are incredible!

Koyaan — I didn’t make all those statements as it was made to appear I did. However, I will address the “if he were up to something nefarious” statement. Of course he would go if he were up to something nefarious. It seems his last 4 visits have entailed something nefarious! Obama probably hides something every time he goes. Probably going to go through Granny’s personal affects to make sure there is nothing damaging there! Wake up Koyaan. You need to get your head out of the sand!

  142. Foxtrot Says:

As for the mental institutions statement—I have a straight jacket with your name on it. It is waiting for you at the hospital that Obama was born in in Hawaii. Have fun finding it!!! No one else seems to be able to! LOL!

    Heheh. See what I mean?

And if he was going to forge one, why not forge a Certificate of Live Birth from the start?

    k

  144. Foxtrot Says:

Koyaan — because he never dreamed it would get this far and it is easier to duplicate the short form as it does not have handwriting on it (fill in the blank) like the vault version one does. It would be much easier to debunk on the handwriting analysis alone.

  145. Foxtrot Says:

The truth is, I’m really Barack Obama.

I wasn’t born in Honolulu, Hawaii in 1961, I was in fact born at Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio, Texas back in 1960.

I know, both my parents are white, but it’s a long and rather embarrassing story that I would rather not get into in public.

Besides, I have to start packing for Hawaii.

I cannot believe that my grandfathers, who fought in the revolutionary war, the civil war, and all the indian wars and WWI, or my father, who fought in WWII, would believe that anyone would allow this to happen to the USA. 178. j.b. Says:

I’m in G.R. I didn’t realize we were getting that much snow!
    Are you close to G.R.?

As I was listening to Greta interview Laura Bush, I realized I was baking Laura Bush’s Cowboy Cookies! So I thought I would share the recipe. These are the best cookies I have ever baked OR had!

    Seriously.

This is adapted from the recipe Mrs. Bush submitted to Family Circle’s cookie bakeoff during the 2000 presidential campaign. It was up against Tipper Gore’s Ginger Snaps. No contest: These Texas-size cookies consist of chocolate chips augmented with rolled oats, coconut, pecans and cinnamon.

Makes 3 dozen large cookies or 6 dozen smaller cookies

    Ingredients:
    3 cups flour
    1 tablespoon baking powder
    1 tablespoon baking soda
    1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
    1 teaspoon salt
3 sticks (12 ounces) butter, at room temperature
    1 1/2 cups sugar
1 1/2 cups packed light brown sugar
    3 large eggs
    1 tablespoon vanilla extract
    3 cups semisweet chocolate chips
    3 cups old-fashioned rolled oats
    2 cups sweetened flaked coconut
    2 cups chopped pecans
    Directions:

Position oven racks in the upper and lower thirds and preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Line 2 baking sheets with parchment paper.

In a large bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon and salt.

Using a stand mixer on medium speed, beat butter until smooth and creamy, about 1 minute. Gradually add sugars and beat to combine, about 2 minutes. Add eggs, one at a time, beating after each one, and the vanilla extract. Reduce speed to low and add flour mixture gradually until just combined. Add the chocolate chips, oats, coconut and pecans, mixing until just combined.

For large cookies, drop a hefty 1/4 cup of dough onto the baking sheets for each cookie, spacing 3 inches apart. Bake for 8 to 9 minutes, then rotate sheets top to bottom and front to back. Bake for an additional 8 to 9 minutes or until edges are lightly browned. Let cookies cool on baking sheet for about 5 minutes, then transfer to rack to cool completely. For smaller cookies, use 2 tablespoons dough per cookie and bake for 15 to 18 minutes total, rotating the baking sheets midway through. Store in airtight containers at room temperature for several days. May be frozen.

    Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmm………..

  179. LadyLiberty Says:

DEEPER ROLE? | Pushed Jarrett for Senate seat

    December 18, 2008

BY NATASHA KORECKI Federal Courts Reporter nkorecki@suntimes.com

President-elect Barack Obama’s incoming chief of staff Rahm Emanuel had a deeper involvement in pressing for a U.S. Senate seat appointment than previously reported, the Sun-Times has learned. Emanuel had direct discussions about the seat with Gov. Blagojevich, who is is accused of trying to auction it to the highest bidder.

Emanuel talked with the governor in the days following the Nov. 4 election and pressed early on for the appointment of Valerie Jarrett to the post, sources with knowledge of the conversations told the Sun-Times. There was no indication from sources that Emanuel brokered a deal, however.

A source with the Obama camp strongly denied Emanuel spoke with the governor directly about the seat, saying Emanuel only spoke with Blagojevich once recently to say he was taking the chief of staff post.

But sources with knowledge of the investigation said Blagojevich told his aides about the calls with Emanuel and sometimes gave them directions afterward. Sources said that early on, Emanuel pushed for the appointment of Jarrett to the governor and his staff and asked that it be done by a certain date.

At least some of the conversations between Emanuel and Blagojevich were likely caught on tape, sources said.

    hawaiibusiness.com/Hawaii-Business/October-2008/Being-Local-Barry-and-Bryan/

Now, kids from Hawaii’s public schools can also claim ties to the Democratic presidential nominee. I acquired the picture below from Winifred (Wakai) Otaguro, who was in Ms. Sakai’s kindergarten class at Noelani Elementary School in 1967. Otaguro’s mother, Betty Wakai, had written the names of most of the kids in the class on the back of the picture. Her writing identifies the first little boy in the third row as “Barry Obama.” Obama’s sister Maya Soetoro-Ng confirms that the boy is Obama, however, the Department of Education has been unable to find his records.

Miss Sakai’s 1967 kindergarten class at Noelani Elementary School. Betty Wakai’s writing identifies this boy as “Barry Obama.”

Request for Senator Inhofe To Join With Congressmen (Linder, and others) on Letter of Objection to Senate President Re Obama

Note: This email letter was followed up later today by a call from a senior aide in DC for Senator Inhofe assuring me Senator Inhofe was taking a serious look at this matter and the required procedures to file a letter of objection. I once again urged this senior aid to have Senator Inhofe consult and act in concert with Senators Sessons and DeMint as well as Congressmen John Linder and Ron Paul.

    To: Senator James Inhofe

In Care of Kathie Lopp & Robin Hudson

CC: Congressman John Linder in Care of Sarah

    From: Patrick Briley

I spoke to Congr. John Linder’s (R-Ga) assistant Sarah in Congr Linder’s DC office today and told her of my email letter to Senator Inhofe and Kathie Lopp on Dec 12, 2008 requesting Senator Inhofe to file a letter of objection with the President of the Senate concerning the questions of Mr. Obama’s eleigibilty and birth certificate. A copy of my email letter Formal Request for Senator Inhofe (R-OK) To File Objection With Senate President 1/6/09 is enclosed at the very end of this email. Sarah told me it is her understanding that the law requires at least one Congressman and one Senator to file an objection with the President of the Senate (who likely will still be VP Cheney at the time). I asked Sarah to please consider having Congressman Linder consult with Senators Inhofe, Sessions and DeMint on the matter as I have been in contact with their offices. Sarah can be reached at 202-225-4272.

***Kathie Lopp and Robin Hudson: Please ask Senator Inhofe to consult with Congressman Linder and all other Congressmen and Senators (Sessions, DeMint) who might have an interest in joining in on this matter.***

I too have been ‘lurking’ and reading this blog for a while now. Also ‘watched’ the story unfold on API. I stumbled on API while I was researching 0bama. I must say that I too am very concerned about our Constitution being thrown aside. I cannot believe that my grandfathers, who fought in the revolutionary war, the civil war, and all the indian wars and WWI, or my father, who fought in WWII, would believe that anyone would allow this to happen to the USA. We must all work together for the greater good of this great nation. I enjoy this blog and the good natured banter between all of you. Thanks for a bright spot in the day.

    Good morning and welcome, patriotamy!

Sorry you were stuck in moderation all night.

You should be able to post at will now.

I too enjoy the “good-natured” banter here!

    Have a wonderful day!

Update: Just received word of the following:

[Former Congressman] JD [Hayworth (R-AZ)] said he called Rep. Linder today, as he is a friend of his. Linder DENIED that he is going to object, so that is a total rumor. JD Hayworth is a reputable source.

Their letter to the AIG CEO is posted here and is good read.

    2 questions.

    1) Is it a fact that there are no records of bambam having a passport prior to his senator passport?

    2) What are the best links to put on the letters. Not a big fan of the obamacrimes because it’s poorly designed

    Hugh Hewitt:

I asked this morning if Blagojevich would get the tapes of Emanuel’s conversations with him (which can then be leaked as payback or for leverage.)

    GREAT QUESTION.

Answer – once Blago is indicted, he’s 100% entitled to the recordings.

Rule 16 of the Federal Rules of Criminal Procedure:

“(a)(1)(B) Upon the defendant’s request, the government MUST DISCLOSE to the defendant, and make available for inspection, copying, or photographing, all of the following:

n Any relevant written or recorded statement by the defendant.

Wiretap recordings are among the first things demanded by defense lawyers in wiretap cases. They get the whole recording, not just their client’s portion, because they need the entire conversation in order to fully understand the context of what was being discussed.

So, yes, Blago’s lawyers are going to get complete copies – not just transcripts – of everything Emanuel said to him.

And, I’m guessing that Fitzgerald has not shared with the Obama administration what it is Emanuel has been recorded as saying, thus the complete silence by Emanuel since this issue broke into the press. He can’t say anything now for fear that there is a recorded conversation that will contradict him.

So Linder is NOT doing this – phooey. I wish JD Hayworth was still in gov’t – he is AWESOME! I told my husband I would move to AZ just to be his constituent! That is as close as I have ever come to being a fanatic about ANYONE! I am sure people will come up with things about him I don’t agree with – just don’t share it with me! Leave me be in my bot-like adoration of JD!! He might have had the cajones to object to the vote. Anyway, I digress…

So, Imhofe, maybe those two on that Sharia Finance article, Hutchison, DeMint, Sessions, and Shelby? I gotta go get me some nice paper and stamps for these letters. Anyone want to see what I wrote?

    Good morning, all!

    Mom,

Sorry to be so out of touch.

Is this a letter only from you, or one that others can mail, too?

I’d be happy to put that up in a separate post or convert to pdf and insert into post.

And that goes for anyone. I think Fox said she had a letter as well.

Email me or post a comment with workable link.

Congress seams to find ways to keep making the burden harder on the people. Now giving themselves a pay raise in these times. Sad very Sad…these people are really in for themselves.

With economy in shambles, Congress gets a raise
    By Jordy Yager
    Posted: 12/17/08 05:41 PM [ET]
A crumbling economy, more than 2 million constituents who have lost their jobs this year, and congressional demands of CEOs to work for free did not convince lawmakers to freeze their own pay.

Instead, they will get a $4,700 pay increase, amounting to an additional $2.5 million that taxpayers will spend on congressional salaries, and watchdog groups are not happy about it.

“As lawmakers make a big show of forcing auto executives to accept just $1 a year in salary, they are quietly raiding the vault for their own personal gain,” said Daniel O’Connell, chairman of The Senior Citizens League (TSCL), a non-partisan group. “This money would be much better spent helping the millions of seniors who are living below the poverty line and struggling to keep their heat on this winter.”

However, at 2.8 percent, the automatic raise that lawmakers receive is only half as large as the 2009 cost of living adjustment of Social Security recipients.

Still, Steve Ellis, vice president of the budget watchdog Taxpayers for Common Sense, said Congress should have taken the rare step of freezing its pay, as lawmakers did in 2000.

“Look at the way the economy is and how most people aren’t counting on a holiday bonus or a pay raise — they’re just happy to have gainful employment,” said Ellis. “But you have the lawmakers who are set up and ready to get their next installment of a pay raise and go happily along their way.”

Member raises are often characterized as examples of wasteful spending, especially when many constituents and businesses in members’ districts are in financial despair.

Rep. Harry Mitchell, a first-term Democrat from Arizona, sponsored legislation earlier this year that would have prevented the automatic pay adjustments from kicking in for members next year. But the bill, which attracted 34 cosponsors, failed to make it out of committee.

“They don’t even go through the front door. They have it set up so that it’s wired so that you actually have to undo the pay raise rather than vote for a pay raise,” Ellis said.

Freezing congressional salaries is hardly a new idea on Capitol Hill.

Lawmakers have floated similar proposals in every year dating back to 1995, and long before that. Though the concept of forgoing a raise has attracted some support from more senior members, it is most popular with freshman lawmakers, who are often most vulnerable.

In 2006, after the Republican-led Senate rejected an increase to the minimum wage, Democrats, who had just come to power in the House with a slew of freshmen, vowed to block their own pay raise until the wage increase was passed. The minimum wage was eventually increased and lawmakers received their automatic pay hike.

In the beginning days of 1789, Congress was paid only $6 a day, which would be about $75 daily by modern standards. But by 1965 members were receiving $30,000 a year, which is the modern equivalent of about $195,000.

Currently the average lawmaker makes $169,300 a year, with leadership making slightly more. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) makes $217,400, while the minority and majority leaders in the House and Senate make $188,100.

Ellis said that while freezing the pay increase would be a step in the right direction, it would be better to have it set up so that members would have to take action, and vote, for a pay raise and deal with the consequences, rather than get one automatically.

“It is probably never going to be politically popular to raise Congress’s salary,” he said. “I don’t think you’re going to find taxpayers saying, ‘Yeah I think I should pay my congressman more’.”

I have been very upset with the “reliable” talk radio people – Rush, Sean, Laura. I quit watching Fox News. When Bill O’Reilly started relying on a body language person, I really lost confidence in him.
Oddly, I have a lot of respect for Greta. She tends to focus far too intently on some subjects, but I do think she searches for the facts. If she is interested in a cause she goes all out for it – maybe someone can interest her in the Obama birth certificate issues.

It might be time to ask if our conservative talk show hosts only talk about topics that are being vetted by the main stream media – maybe they only like to disagree with what is already being considered, but do not like to break new ground themselves.
