I needed to start a new thread. And it was easier to just repost an old one.

Stevie Wonder – Minnie Riperton

Ordinary Pain

When by the phone
In vain you sit
You very soon in your
mind realize that it’s
not just
An ordinary pain in your heart

When you by chance
Go knock on her door
Walkin’ away
you’re
convinced that
it’s much more
Than just an ordinary
pain in your heart
It’s more than just
An ordinary pain in your heart

Don’t fool yourself
But tell no one else
That it’s more than just
An ordinary pain
In your heart

When you catch up
But she says goodbye
Hold back your tears and
before you start to cry
Say you feel unnecessary
pain in your heart

Tell her you’re glad
It’s over in fact
Can she take with her
the pain she brought
you back
Takin that ordinary pain
from your heart
It’s more than just
An ordinary pain from your heart

Don’t fool yourself
But tell no one else
That it’s more than just
An ordinary pain
In your heart
In your heart
In your heart

[PART II]

You’re just a masachistic fool
Because you knew my love was cruel
You never listened when they said
Don’t let that girl go to your head
But like a play boy you said no
or*di*nary pain
This little girl mind you will blow
or*di*nary pain
But then I blew you out the box
or*di*nary pain
When I put my stuff on key and lock
or*di*nary pain
It makes me feel kind of sick
or*di*nary pain
To know love put you in a trick
or*di*nary pain
I knew our love would have to end
or*di*nary pain
The day I made it with your friend
or*di*nary pain
Giving your love to one unreal
or*di*nary pain
Like a big fool I know you feel
or*di*nary pain
But in this lovie-dovie game
or*di*nary pain
With all its joy there must be pain
or*di*nary pain
But now the time has surely come
or*di*nary pain
This game don’t seem
like so much fun
or*di*nary pain
You’re cryin big corcodile tears
or*di*nary pain
Don’t match the ones
I’ve cried for years
or*di*nary pain
When I was home wainting for you
or*di*nary pain
You were out somewhere doing the do
or*di*nary pain
You know I’d really like to stay
or*di*nary pain
But like you did I’ve go to play
or*di*nary pain
You’re dumb to think I’d let you be
or*di*nary pain
Scott free without some pain from me
or*di*nary pain
I heard your song and took a chance
or*di*nary pain
But to your music I can’t dance
or*di*nary pain
Go tell your story ‘sob-sad’
or*di*nary pain
About you blowin what you had
or*di*nary pain
Since one ain’t good enough for you
or*di*nary pain
Then do yourself see how you do
or*di*nary pain

or*di*nary pain
or*di*nary pain
or*di*nary pain
or*di*nary pain
or*di*nary pain

    This is for real.

    Texas Coach Speaks Out.

Jim Neugent is a coach in Childress , Texas ..

    Jim writes:

My name is Jim Neugent. I wrote to ABC (on-line) concerning a program called ‘THE PRACTICE.’ In last nights episode, one of the lawyer’s mothers decided she is gay and wanted her son to go to court and help her get a marriage license so she could marry her ‘partner.’ I sent the following letter to ABC yesterday and really did not expect a reply, but I did get one

    My original message was:

ABC is obsessed with the subject of homosexuality. I will no longer watch any of your attempts to convince the world that homosexuality is OK. ‘THE PRACTICE’ can be a fairly good show, but last night’s program was so typical of your agenda. You picked the ‘dufus’ of the office to be the one who was against the idea of his mother being gay, and made him look like a whiner because he had convictions. This type of mentality calls people like me a gay basher.’ Read the first chapter of Romans (that’s in the Bible) and see what the apostle Paul had to say about it… He, God and Jesus were all gay bashers! ‘. What if she’d fallen in love with her cocker spaniel? Is that an alternative life style? ( By the way, the Bible speaks against that, too.)

    –Jim Neugent

Here is ABC’s reply from the ABC on-line webmaster:

How about getting your nose out of the Bible (which is ONLY a book of stories compiled by MANY different writers hundreds of years ago) and read the declaration of independence (what our nation is built on), where it says ‘All Men are Created equal,’ and try treating them that way for a change! Or better yet, try thinking for yourself and stop using an archaic book of stories as your lame crutch for your existence. You are in the minority in this country, and your boycott will not affect us at ABC or our freedom of statement.

Jim Neugent’s second response to ABC:

Thanks for your reply. From your harsh reply, evidently I hit a nerve. I will share it with all with whom I come in contact. Hopefully, the Arkansas Democrat Newspaper will include it in one of their columns and I will be praying for you.

    — Jim Neugent ———————

Note: Wouldn’t Satan just love it if people stopped using the Bible for a crutch? Please re-send this to everyone in your mailbox.

    — Thanks, Jim Neugent

ESQ… don’tyou wonder or care that BO is hiding so many things from all of us…doesn’t that make you wonder… If not then why do you not care he won’t show his bc or his college transcripts or his lawyer client list?

Obama could end all the speculation himself if he simply provided the vault version of his birth certificate and allowed his college files to be opened. The fact that he won’t do any of these things, proves he is hiding something!

  13. Troy Says:

his new suit is in US Supreme Court…old one was SC of NJ

  14. dixieinflorida Says:

LOL ok we got it here twice

  15. thinkingmom11 Says:

OK – so now that it is on the docket – what does that mean? Does it just mean that Justice Thomas is going to look at it? Can anyone help me with this?

  16. Ksinde. Says:

  17. Troy Says:

Thank You…I think O’Reilly would love to have a look at that exchange…In fact it’s right up his alley

This docket is with Justice Thomas

Just by making it on the docket it will have to be ruled on. Clerks can sometime act as Judges and refuse to submit cases.

  21. Ksinde. Says:

i thought that Leo said something was given to thomas yesterday

  22. Troy Says:

How do you know it is with justice Thomas?…It doesn’t show that

Nov 14 2008 Application (08A407) refiled and submitted to Justice Thomas

  24. Troy Says:

it was given to the stupid clerk

  25. thinkingmom11 Says:

I think Leo said that he had confirmation that the documents were delivered to Judge Thomas at 7:46 yesterday AM

    **********************
It means Justice Thomas can rule himself but usually other Judges will be called in to make a ruling. *cross fingers they rule in Donofrio’s favor

  27. Troy Says:

    ok….Weeeeeeee!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  28. amy Says:

Troy.. The case goes to the Supreme court just as it was presented in the state case.. That is why it reads that way.

  29. Ksinde. Says:

but wasn’t that in regards to the say of election, that was suppose to be filed the day before election.

  30. thinkingmom11 Says:

Thanks Dixie. Yeah, I doubt any of those guys want to be hung out for this ruling (if it is in favor of Leo) by themselves!!

  31. amy Says:

I realy believe Clarence Thomas will be fair.

  32. Troy Says:

Donofrio is the one whose arguement is the one i’ve been yelling from the top of my lungs here….Dual citizenship AT BIRTH

  33. Ksinde. Says:

thinkingmom…but the docket says 11/14 as the last entry

dixie…i thought your needed 4 to rule on it

  34. Troy Says:

    Rule of 4…yes

  35. amy Says:

That is just the title on the docket.. The rest of it is long.

  36. Ksinde. Says:

    amy…what does that mean

That is just the title on the docket.. The rest of it is long.

  37. thinkingmom11 Says:

Ksinde – I was just transfering it from the other thread for Dixie — I really am uninformed on the inside workings of the SCOTUS :0)

  38. Troy Says:

I for one am willing to put up with a little anarchy in order to preserve our constitution.

    LOCK-N-LOAD… Baby

  39. Ksinde. Says:

SO if rule of 4 is needed, then how can clarence rule alone if he chooses to do so

  40. Troy Says:

He can only try to persuade others to rule with him….pffft…fat chance of that

    **********************8

Once upon a time I filed one and it went before three Judges. Unusual for just one but not un-heard of, and in this case I would guess there may be more than Thomas

  45. amy Says:

Ksinde, It means the filing is longer.. Those words are just at the beggining.

  46. Ksinde. Says:

but i thought that is why they have 7 justices, so there won’t ever be a tie, there will always be a ruling

  47. thinkingmom11 Says:

Troy – did you have too much coffee this morning?! BTW – all of our friends say they are coming to our house when the *&% hits the fan- LOCK AND LOAD

Iam NOT sure, but Ithink the one who initially gets it can deny it,but if not, then he gets 3 others to determine if it should remain in the supreme court to be heard.

You are hoping. I honestly dont care. IF and that is a gigantic IF the supreme court looks at it they will find Obama was born in Hawaii.

I think they are smarter than to waste money with this but the issue is a dead fish.

Please keep hope alive though amy..

  66. jonathanwrightesq Says:

I answered your question you choose not to accept it as you choose not to accept his birth certificate.

Obama was vetted. It is a non issue to me…

  67. Ksinde. Says:

ESQ…go somewhere else, this is a civil blog…your kind is not wanted

  68. amy Says:

Esq… If THE ONE would have provided the requested records in the initial suit by Berg, there would be no other suits filed.

  69. Ksinde. Says:

  70. jonathanwrightesq Says:

I was civil I stated I answered your question. I am sorry my answer is not acceptable to you. I can do nothing more for you.

I find you people extremely interesting and am doing my best to be civil. So thank you I will stay.

  71. thinkingmom11 Says:

JonEsq – if you don’t care why are you here?

Be honest, it is because we are a civilized group attempting to have a serious discussion and you can’t find that amongst you other DEM friends, isn’t it?

I think it is funny you spend your time here, you are a silly goose. Oh, sorry, I don’t mean to label you (or libel the goose!)

  74. jonathanwrightesq Says:

Yes the guy that wrote two books, spoke openly about prior drug use, has disclosed every earmark he put out there, produced a copy of his birth certificate, been open on his relationship with Rev Wright and Ayers, and so on down the line.

He is vetted in My eyes. That is my answer.

  75. Ksinde. Says:

you are here to try and bait us and get a reaction. this is a game to you, but not for us, we look beyond the surface and imagine what will happen to our great country under BO.. and we are fearful

  76. jonathanwrightesq Says:

As a surprise to many I do not amy.

  77. amy Says:

Am I being too nosey? I am NOT asking HOW you voted, just if it was straight ticket.

  78. calstatecon Says:

I did this time Amy, but usually I don’t.

  79. Ksinde. Says:

    yes amy i did….straight down

  80. dixieinflorida Says:

esq is probably here because his fellow bots don’t post anything about lawsuits or anything bad against their messiah

  81. jonathanwrightesq Says:

I honestly am not trying to bait you. If I am coming off that way it is not intended.

I got a lot of enjoyment watching the api thing unfold, I find the birth certificate circles things to be a curiosity but nothing more..actually done with the issue on that. I can not say anything that will change anyones mind on that and I know it we just have to sit back and watch the court cases unfold.

  82. amy Says:

One of my best friends voted straight republican, another straight democrat.. Both of them wont listen to the other and when I talk with them, either of them are informed. I dont know why they bother to vote.

    ***********************
Well I didn’t drink the kool aid so IMO he isn’t vetted to my satisfaction, so why is all his records sealed? Answer that one

  85. thinkingmom11 Says:

And since you bring up the drug use – do you realize that if he were to go into the military he would be disqualified from serving in a position that would put him in contact with or that would make him responsible for nuclear weapons? Do you realize that his associations with Ayers and Wright would disqualify him from a job in the Secret Service? So if you are comfortable with someone like that being your president – fine – but it doesn’t make me sleep better at night.

I disagree with Hillary on Foreign policy. Her as secretary of state makes me take a step back. Obama supporters I know are 50/50 w/ and against me on this issue.

We certainly do not walk lockstep over all things Obama.

  88. Ksinde. Says:

  93. jonathanwrightesq Says:

    thinking mom,

It does not scare me. I would rather have someone open about past missteps than one that lied or hid it. he was open and honest about some bad times as a youth that does not make him a bad person today. I respect him for honesty on his drug use.

I also believe intelligent people can listen to and be friendly with people of all different backgrounds. His minimal contact with Ayers is nothing to me Obama can talk to the man of today and still denounce his past actions. With rev wright he was very clear and specific about talking about where Rev. Wright lost him and saying how we can move in a new direction away from the Rev wrights on one side and other hatefuls on the other.

  94. jonathanwrightesq Says:

    amy,

he produced the documentation necessary. I am behind him in the fact that he should not go beyond or above what is needed because some fringe people are clamering for more. He was above it all, there is no addtional test for him to be president.

Amy – at first I actually thought the birth certificate thing was a silly issue but then when Obama was so elusive and less-then-forthcoming about it I started getting a little (OK -ALOT) suspicious about it. I was thinking he was just going to put out the real BC and it would be over with. But he just keeps fighting it. If my children were acting like this I would KNOW they were lying about something!

  97. amy Says:

  98. Ksinde. Says:

ok all…bbl…Esq…hopefully you will be gone…i can no loner take the ignorance behind your thinking…it drives me crazy!!! I don’t mean to be rude, but that is just how i feel.

  99. amy Says:

As for HIS relationship with Ayers, everyone in Chicago knows that Bern and Michelle are realy good friends and that they socialise together. Also, Rita and Tony Rezko and Michelle and THE ONE were seen at restaurents there frequently..

I never swallowed everything a preacher has said. Rev wright is not a scary figure to me. He comes from a different point of view than mine he has a different anger at the country I do not have.

Why cant a person sit in his church listen to that anger and understand it and also know we are moving beyond it. Why is him being in the congragation an immediate sign off on everything said be wright?

  102. dixieinflorida Says:

Wow – Jon. I go to church every week like Obama claimed he did. I am challenged and encouraged by my pastors message. I left a church I attended for more than 7 years because they started preaching something that I though was wrong. If he sat it Wright’s church for 20 YEARS and didn’t hear any of the cr*p that man was spewing until earlier this year – then the man (Obmam) is either a liar or clueless – neither of which we need in the Oval Office.

  105. drsharonschuetz Says:

Amy…Are you saying that anyone who voted a straight ticket are not informed? I’m curious. Is there a level of informed that you reach if you look at the bigger picture and recognize that the man or woman you are voting for will be fighting in Washington. Many people vote for a person because of the beautiful fountain his/her porkbelly bills in Washington was able to get for their small town.

They don’t care that that fountain was acquired for their town by raising taxes on some poor segment of our nation that can’t afford any more taxes. Or by having Washington impose another rule on what kind of light bulb we can use in our home or business. That pretty little fountain was tucked into the new bill.

  110. amy Says:

Why would anyone sit in a church for 20 years if he had a different view? I once left a church after going there just once, just because he preached in there criticising another church. That was all it took. My time is too precious than to waste it sitting in a church with someone like that.

  111. jonathanwrightesq Says:

    ———————-

Rev wright said on September 16th:

I heard Ambassador Peck on an interview yesterday did anybody else see or hear him? He was on FOX News, this is a white man, and he was upsetting the FOX News commentators to no end, he pointed out, a white man, an ambassador, he pointed out that what Malcolm X said when he was silenced by Elijah Mohammad was in fact true, he said Americas chickens, are coming home to roost.”

“We took this country by terror away from the Sioux, the Apache, Arikara, the Comanche, the Arapaho, the Navajo. Terrorism.

“We took Africans away from their country to build our way of ease and kept them enslaved and living in fear. Terrorism.

“We bombed Grenada and killed innocent civilians, babies, non-military personnel.

“We bombed the black civilian community of Panama with stealth bombers and killed unarmed teenage and toddlers, pregnant mothers and hard working fathers.

“We bombed Qaddafi’s home, and killed his child. Blessed are they who bash your children’s head against the rock.

“We bombed Iraq. We killed unarmed civilians trying to make a living. We bombed a plant in Sudan to pay back for the attack on our embassy, killed hundreds of hard working people, mothers and fathers who left home to go that day not knowing that they’d never get back home.

“We bombed Hiroshima. We bombed Nagasaki, and we nuked far more than the thousands in New York and the Pentagon and we never batted an eye.

“Kids playing in the playground. Mothers picking up children after school. Civilians, not soldiers, people just trying to make it day by day.

“We have supported state terrorism against the Palestinians and black South Africans, and now we are indignant because the stuff that we have done overseas is now brought right back into our own front yards. America’s chickens are coming home to roost.

“Violence begets violence. Hatred begets hatred. And terrorism begets terrorism. A white ambassador said that y’all, not a black militant. Not a reverend who preaches about racism. An ambassador whose eyes are wide open and who is trying to get us to wake up and move away from this dangerous precipice upon which we are now poised. The ambassador said the people we have wounded don’t have the military capability we have. But they do have individuals who are willing to die and take thousands with them. And we need to come to grips with that.”

So you believe that there is nothing we can do to continue forward steps in this nation? That we can be a great country but still have problems. That is why elections are important to some people fixing the things we still arent getting right.

I can be proud of america and to be american but see that we are not perfect acrosst he board and need to continue fighting for justice for all peoples in and out of country.

  125. Foxtrot Says:

  130. Foxtrot Says:

Amy, ESQ didn’t say he “hated this country”. He merely stated, that like most countries, we are not perfect. You can love your country and not be looking at through rose-colored glasses. I would give my life for this country and I am a patriot through and through, but I know we are not perfect.

  131. thinkingmom11 Says:

Sorry – had to step away for a minute.

JON – I have a problem with your logic. Why would someone chose as a “mentor and spiritual leader” someone he disagrees with on so many issues!!? I think of a mentor and spiritual leader is someone who you respect and admire to the point that you wish to emulate them. You do not select someone you disagree with and want to “move forward from” as your mentor! A mentor is someone you strive to be like. Come on, Jon! Wake up!

I would of happily voted yes to Hillary if she was the nominee the agreement betweeen her and Obama was almost across the board.

I don’t think that MOST whites are nearly as racist as Wright seems to think they are. He is living and making a living on the tragic past of this country and he has rooted his ideology in that dark past and refuses lead his people forward into a brighter future. That is tragic and self-serving.

  153. Foxtrot Says:

You cannot be “Natural Born Citizen” by law — that is a “naturalized citizen.” You can be a “citizen at birth” (”anchor baby”), and not be a “Natural Born Citizen.”

The term “Natural Born Citizen” is a term of art — that is, it’s a term that requires that you need to consult with an expert to determine its meaning. It’s NOT what most people think it is. It is used only ONCE in the constitution, but frequently in correspondence, legal commentaries, legislation, and legal decisions. In an 1868 Supreme Court Decision, it was construed narrowly to allow FORMER SLAVES to be considered Citizens, but NOT NATIVE AMERICANS). They would have to wait another two generations.

It has nothing to do with where you were BORN. My great uncle was a full-blooded Cherokee and a “native-American,” but because he chose to live his whole life loyal to the Cherokee Nation, he was never a “Natural Born Citizen” — but he was a “naturalized citizen.”

The issue applies specifically to the qualifications to be “Commander-in-Chief” of the Armed Forces of the United States, and has as much to do with the ALLEGIANCE of the PARENTS as well the CITIZEN.

The reason, the Commander-in-Chief cannot have “divided loyalty” towards this nation.

The reason that this is taking so long to get to the Supreme Court is because they know that they may have to also rule on the citizenship of so-called “anchor babies” when they have to take up this issue, if they take up the wrong case.

They are looking for the 1 case that will keep this issue very NARROW. This is why I think they are hesitating. Leo Donofrio’s case appears to fit the bill, because in this election cycle, three candidates were challenged whether or not they were “Natural Born Citizens.”

However, Chief Justice John G. Roberts will have to KNOW that Barack Hussein Obama II is eligible to “enter on the execution of his office,” before he administers the Inaugural Oath of Office.

Why? Because, in 1974, the Judiciary Committee decided that violating the constitutional oath was a high crime and misdemeanor, warranting impeachment, trial and removal from office, and President Nixon resigned.

Folks, JWesq has his mind sealed tighter than a drum.

    ——————-

    Well, perhaps

but I am sure we are all guilty of the same thing

personally, I think it lends more creedence to our blog if we make room all interpretations

not sharing, just understanding where one might be coming from

  202. amy Says:

Troy, This case might just be the one that decides everything.

  203. Troy Says:

esq is definitely one stubborn puppy

  204. amy Says:

Troy,I have a friend like that

  205. Troy Says:

I hope so Amy…which ever way it goes

  206. thinkingmom11 Says:

Awww come on Fox – no one was talking about Jon – just expressing their releif that he was gone for a while. I was under the impression that your feelings didn’t get hurt so easily. BTW – I was reminding JonEsq to play nice earlier…

  207. Foxtrot Says:

There are a few “stubborn puppies” on this blog, let’s be honest! 🙂

Rosetta, I was talking to Troy, not your post. Maybe that is why you were confused. I have been coming to your site for months now.

    ——————–

    yes I know that Foxtrot

that’s the point I was trying to make

didn’t get the whole gone thing, that’s all

sometimes I drop in and I feel like I’m visiting another planet altogether

  210. Troy Says:

    arf, arf

  211. amy Says:

BYW, everybody.. That API thing. My fiance advised me never to give out phone number to any site that is in the least bit suspicious

  212. thinkingmom11 Says:

I think it is great to hear both sides of the story and I said as much to Jon earlier. That said, I also don’t think it is off limits to express relief when a thorn is removed from ones side.

  213. dixieinflorida Says:

“Palin supporters are idiots. So said the scribes of ABC’s Boston Legal who scripted a show that went out of its way to trash Sarah Palin and elevate the election of Barack Obama to mythical status.

Oh. And bloggers are “entry level life forms that intellectually have yet to emerge from the primordial ooze.”

    http://newsbusters.org/blogs/kristen-fyfe/2008/11/18/boston-legal-55-million-mccain-palin-supporters-idiots-bloggers-entry-

    Well now that’s kinda rough

  214. Foxtrot Says:

The same courtesy should be extended to both sides of the argument, Thinking Mom. That is all I am saying. I do have a thick skin, but it doesn’t mean I would appreciate being pummelled 24/7 to test that! You know what I mean.

  215. thinkingmom11 Says:

    **tossing Troy a bone**

  216. Troy Says:

amy I don’t think many will give their personal info to API…I sure as heck won’t

  217. Foxtrot Says:

I know what you mean Rosetta! Very true!

  218. Troy Says:

    mmmm….bones

  219. rosettasister Says:

    okay, bbl

    I am enjoying this immensely!

  220. amy Says:

awwwwww, now esquire is gone.. No one to pick on.

  221. Troy Says:

I think Rose’s hits have picked up since Korir flipped his lid

  222. amy Says:

Foxtrot, Have you ever been to Democrat Taylor Marshes site?

  223. Troy Says:

u can pick on me…I can take it

  224. Troy Says:

Marsh is a traitor and is now a skunk

  225. Foxtrot Says:

No, can you give me the link? I go to NoQuarter alot. He is up for some sort of website/internet award. He always has thought-provoking things to share.

  226. amy Says:

Troy, I have learned so much since being here at roses. I just went back to API site once to see what everybody was talking about, that registering thing.

  227. Troy Says:

    NQ rocks

  228. amy Says:

But troy, I dont have anything for which to pick at you.

  229. Troy Says:

Google is scrubbing the Conservative blogs

  230. Foxtrot Says:

Well Troy, we agree on something! I love No Quarter. Can’t get through the day without checking it. For those of you who don’t know the site, it is hosted by a Hillary supporter who went for McCain after Hillary was screwed in the primaries. He really does his research and has great insight!

  231. Foxtrot Says:

Amy, do you have that link?

  232. Troy Says:

another PUMA yes…Larry rocks….I practically live there

  233. Tenacity Says:

    Hi Rosetta,
I’d like to see you more often. My apology if I was being too blunt. I am plenty stubborn when I am informed and have formed an opinion. On the other hand, please-please-please challenge me when my facts are askew. The last thing I ever want is to be caught with blinders on. I tend to withhold opinion until I am fairly well informed. To say that “Obama has been vetted” is delusional. The facts are in and anyone with any ability to observe knows that is simply not the case. Okay, off my soap box. You see my point. Stubborn is not necessarily a bad thing. Having blinders on is a very bad thing and not the same.

  234. thinkingmom11 Says:

can someone please share the NoQuarter link? Troy – i did toss you a bone, ya know…

  235. Troy Says:

since I’m an Indep., I go to PUMA and Conservative sites

  236. Troy Says:

    http://www.noquarterusa.net/blog/
    there’s a bone for ya

  237. amy Says:

foxtrot, you wouldnt want to go there. I use to go there before hillary lost, got called bad names there, then the obots took it over completely. The site got smaller, then after THE ONE won, there is barely anyone in there.. The ones that are left talk awful about sarah palin.. Its sickening. NO one there is FOR her, just for obama.. He could do no harm.

  238. Foxtrot Says:

    Here it is Thinking Mom:

  240. amy Says:

I often go to noquarter, but just to read, not to post..Larry there is quite intelligent

  241. Foxtrot Says:

Amy, I assume you are talking about the Marsh site? I will take your advice and stay away then. If you have not been to No Quarter, go sometime when you have time to do some reading and scroll through some of his articles.

  242. thinkingmom11 Says:

    Thanks Fox and Troy

    **tossing Fox a bone**

  243. amy Says:

But foxtrot, if you are brave enough to go there, just google democrat taylor marsh and click on.

  244. Troy Says:

And I think in the country I was born and live…it did fall and will never revert…

  268. Mom In Texas Says:

  303. Tenacity Says:

McCain gained a small amount of my respect after he became the nominee. His move to regulate Fannie Mae, his confession of being broken in Nam and his statement of falling in love with his country struck me as real. I dispised him before he was the nominee and am relieved to no longer have to defend him. I believe he seriously hurt the party and likely cost us the election. So in a big way, I hold him responsible for Obama getting in. Out of the list of possible conservatives, I didn’t include him on the list. I was disappointed with Thomson’s showing (of course he was sick), I held my nose and decided to vote for Romney and I was attracted to Huckabee because of the Fair Tax. In spite of Huckabee’s moderate leanings (I perceive a moderate to be a confused conservative), anyone that would consider abolishing the IRS gets kudos from me.

  315. Tenacity Says:

    Foxt & Cindy,
I did some business in Indiana back in the 80’s. Terra Hate (sp deliberately) was an interesting area. It seemed that business men did more deals in the lounge of a motel than in their offices. Also, it was the first place I ever sat through a cycle of a traffic light when there was only one car in front of me. The other thing I learned there was don’t ask for directions unless you wanted to listen to the person talk about the weather and other small talk for 20 minutes before giving you the wrong directions.

  316. justanamericancindy4 Says:

We have 6 dogs and a bird…… we didn’t leave the animals so we were trapped here for awhile.. remember curry rd completely washed out and the other wasn’t passible because of high water…. camped on higher ground that first night

  317. Foxtrot Says:

Yep, that’s Terre Haute. Nice people though. It is a three college town and loads of “transplants” like us now. Although you would not recognize it now from the 80’s. The transformation of the downtown and surrounding areas has been nothing short of miraculous, even in the past 4 years that I have been here! It is really looking great!

  318. justanamericancindy4 Says:

yep that sounds about right,…. locals are interesting to say the least

was an adjustment moving here 2 years ago

  319. Foxtrot Says:

We are from Minneapolis/St. Paul, so it was quite an adjustment to go from a city that is consistently ranked “One of the Top 10 Places to Live in America” to Terre Haute Indiana. Like I said, though, the people are nice and Indianapolis is not that far away.

  320. Tenacity Says:

    Cindy & Foxt,
I suggested they change the license plates to “Meander Indiana.” Once the locals trust you they were great. Until they trust you, communication was iffy at best.

  321. Foxtrot Says:

Times have a changed, Tenacity! My sister just came down and house sat for us while we were on a trip and she said she knew everyone’s life history at the end of every elevator ride or grocery line. They are very friendly, and very southern here. I was taken aback by the southern accents when I came here.

Okay, I am done talking about T-Haute. Did anything come out about Andy Martin’s case?

Hi all! I just got home…..Last night I read MO thesis from thinkingmom11. No I had never read it before, but I have been very upset since last night, and MO thesis explains a lot for me since I have a family of mixed race. I am very saddened at this time, and now I know why people segregate races , like Oprah does with her all black school, if Oprah is believing MO thesis! I am not happy, not happy at all.

Michelle LaVaughn Robinson a.k.a Michelle Barack Obama
    http://www.michelleobamathesis.com/
“the study by selecting every fourth name on a mailing list of approximately 1200 names until 400 names were collected. The total number of returned questionnaires was 89; thus, the response rate for this questionnaire was approximately 22%.”

What kind of thesis, or scientific result can be conducted by this low number! 89 or 22%, out of the 400, or out of the 1200! MO based her whole thesis on 89 people or 22% ! Blacks study black history, and dwell on the past, for the good of the black community? Well what if the Jews were segregated and only studied on history of their oppression from the Egyptians, or the Germans! What if the Indians were segregated, and only studies from their perspective! Thats where prejudice and bigotry stems from, the segregation and from certain TEACHINGS!!!

It’s a LEARNED BEHAVIOR! Now I am not surprised when my family wanted to adopt a black child. We were told, “no you can not teach him the black history!. It is better for him to be in a Black family!”

Plus Michelle LaVaughn Robinson a.k.a Obama concluded it was better to have blacks schooled with blacks for the better of the black community! This now makes sense why Oprah, ( a major Obama campaign contributer) has a school of only Poor Blacks in South Africa. Not a school for poor children in South Africa. We are heading in the direction far beyond the great Black man, Martin Luther King’s direction where “We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal,” and headed to the Black theology of Louis Farrakhan and the Cult of Jeremiah Wright the pastor of United Trinity Church. Let me say this, when I was in the 7th grade, and everyone treated me like crap. They said I was a dirty Indian. Even though my mom was white, and my dad was half Indian. But I found a best friend named Reba. We were both new in this school, but had the same thing in common, and had the best of times. We laughed, and joked, and had great times. But I had a diverse family background and didn’t think it was in question. I had Reba to my home after school, where we did home work, and my mom made cookies for after school snacks for us, and we watched cartoons. One day I asked Reba if we could go to her house to study. She said yes. We walked to her home, and her mother was waiting at the door. Reba said “mama this is the friend I was telling you about”!

Before I could say hello, Reba’s mom’s face went from happy to shocked! She said ” Reba, you get into this house right now, you can’t be friends with her, she’s WHITE!

Reba looked at me sad, and ran up the stairs into her home, and her mother slammed the door! I stood on the doorsteps, for what seemed like forever, then I finally turned away to run down the street crying all the way home. My mama tried to comfort me, but I was heartbroken, I lost my best friend! The days in schools was awful, I tried to ask Reba why we couldn’t be friends anymore, and what I did wrong. She only gave me a look of disgust, and never talked to me again! When she did look at me, it was awful, her normally happy smile now had turned cold and full of hate! Months went by in my depression and loneliness with the other kids, and I never had a friend like Reba. But I seen Reba with her new friends. Her new click, her new group, that I’m sure her mama would be happy with and welcome them into her home, because They were all Black.
So this is what Michelle Obama wants for all the children of the world eh? Segregation….

Well I say to you MO if I had five minutes alone with you, what would Martin Luther King, Jr. say to you!

“I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin, but by the content of their character.”
    Martin Luther King, Jr.

You Michelle Obama have no Character!

We need to teach all history to all people, and teach everyone to love one another, and not to blame for what our ancestors did in the PAST if we are to ever to love one another as our brothers and sisters in the world, To benefit ALL mankind!

Those who forget the past will repeat it…….

I think now History will repeat itself….

    Flamineagle…..
feel free to pass this on…..

  329. Stacy Says:

Ha – If Obama were being judged on the content of his haracter people would be repulsed. Obama is ONLY being judged on the color of his skin.

MLK must be rolling over in his grave.

  330. Troy Says:

  333. amy Says:

  334. amy Says:

Martin Luther King would be turning over in his grave.

  335. thinkingmom11 Says:

Flamin – I was touched by your story and feel kinda bad that it touched such a nerve in you. But thank you so much for sharing your thoughts and experiences – I truely appreciate it.

I am going to have to read MO’s thesis more closely. With the little ones running around it is hard to concentrate but now I will make the time.

  336. thinkingmom11 Says:

    Amy and Flamin

this is a copy of what I wrote to JonWEsq earlier – kinda fits right in with what the two of you posted above…

Jon – A. I think you have rose colored glasses on re: Wright, Ayres and Obama and B. I do understand his history and feel like his racist mentality and his angry preaching just helps to perpetuate the victim mentality and anger in the Black community. I don’t think that MOST whites are nearly as racist as Wright seems to think they are. He is living and making a living on the tragic past of this country and he has rooted his ideology in that dark past and refuses lead his people forward into a brighter future. That is tragic and self-serving.

And I agree that MLK would, indeed, be rolling in his grave.

Is Donofrio about to be on the radio somewhere? His website won’t load. I guess the traffic is killing it.

    Hey, all!

I haven’t had a chance to comment lately, but have been keeping up as best I can.

I just checked Andy Martin’s and still no update. I did send him some info that he might be able to use while he is in HI and then again he might be too busy!

The address given in the birth announcement for BOjr was a pretty posh place for a couple of young parents to start out. Right now the property assessment is $681K, and that’s only for tax purposes so it’s always lower than market value. And it’s a block from waterfront.

I don’t know how a foreign student traveling on a scholarship and an 18yo girl were able to afford a four bedroom place. This was never an address associated with the older Dunhams, either. According to O, his grandparents always lived in the apartments where his grandmother just passed away.

Just a thought. Maybe another phoney bologney piece of background noise to build a legitimate citizen of the US because his grandparents and mother knew his “father” was already married with two children and his mother would need her country to support her since she had no job.

Wonder where the divorce papers can be found for Obama Sr. and moms? Or the marriage cert? Hawai’i? Hey, ANDY MARTIN! While you’re at the courthouse, how about finding these?

Okay, just me, thinking to myself, again!
Has my “buddy” Show-Watchr shown up to harrass anyone? I hope not! lol
