When Chief Editor Korir Was A Newsman

Lois Lane in the 1950’s television program Superman

I was trying to find the first time ever I commented at Mr. Korir’s blog:

I was upset because I thought the author biased.

Imagine that!

Kenya: Does Raila Odinga “hate the Kikuyu community?”
Posted by africanpress on November 19, 2006

There are many Kenyan voices. And some agree that Senator Obama should never have campaigned for Odinga. And he certainly should have distanced himself from Odinga when Odinga’s signing onto MOU became public knowledge.

Senator Obama would have us believe that his judgement is superior to Senators Clinton and McCain. But, in my opinion, here he showed his naivete and poor judgement.

This was the first I heard of this story, long before I knew of the Obama – Odinga connection. You can imagine my horror.

Survivors recall church inferno

A Kenyan mother escaped from Tuesday’s church arson attack in the town of Eldoret, only to see her young child tossed back into the flames.

BBC correspondent Karen Allen spoke to the woman who had managed to climb through the window of the burning church with her three children, the youngest, aged three, in her arms.

“As she climbed through the window, the attackers were on the other side – they grabbed her baby and threw it back in. The child died in the inferno,” our correspondent told BBC News 24.

Kenya church massacre

And when Mr Korir actually used to be a newsman, he was kind enough to publish this for me.

BTW, the talk show host is Mike Gallagher, who lost his wife recently.

I love the way he spoke of her before her passing and since.

May I share a story with you?

Dear Mike,

Last night I fell asleep with the radio on. And I woke up hearing you speak about the recent loss of your dear wife.

When I heard you conveying the story of flying into New York City for the first time since she died, I was so moved by your words.

You spoke of the pilot dipping the wing in order to view the wonderful Manhattan skyline. And how your wife loved the city. And how you were the passenger sitting there crying like a baby.

I could really relate to your words, as we share a similar story.

My brother died very suddenly in 1996. His immune system was so weakened by being HIV Positive, that his body was unable to fight off the infection that ended up killing him.

Shortly after his loss, I found myself walking alone around Manhattan waiting for an appointment to go and retrieve his things from his office. He was a film executive.

Well, there was a man sitting on the sidewalk with a sign stating that he had AIDS and to please help. He was so sick.

I gave him some money and asked him “How are you doing?”

He replied, “Well, I’m still alive.”

You can probably imagine what happened next.

When you lose someone so dear to you, you just never know when such a wave of emotion is going to well-up inside of you.

I found myself wishing I had remembered to bring my sunglasses.

The man looked at me with a puzzled look on his gaunt face. Maybe he thought I was crying for him. And I was.

Thank you, Mike, for sharing your story which must be so painful for you.

I’m sitting here crying as I write this. It does get easier but will always be a part of you.

It’s wonderful being human, isn’t it?!

    Whats going on?

Why does your question remind me of a song?

    (Tryin’ to make a funny!)

    What’s goin on with Korir?

your guess is as good as mine.

    What’s goin on with me?

Oh, I’m just pissed that Korir has allowed his blog to be taken over by those who don’t have his best interests at heart.

He doesn’t get it that this is not a good representation of Americana.

    For example

Now that I’ve approved your comment

your comments will no longer be moderated

    It’s not that hard!

And back in May I know for a fact that he was moderating comments.

I guess I meant; what is your whole take on the Tapes thing. You have apparently known him for a while. I have spoken to him several times, but Still, I am uncertain as to what to believe. I suppose I was hoping for some insight.

Thanks and have a great day!

    Thank you for commenting here

All I can say is I have no reason to doubt Mr Korir.

If I’m right, when Fox finally does air this audio

I have a big fu for them for taking so long!

It’s not that hard to upload an mp3 file for all the world to hear.

  7. Lurker Says:

    Hello Rosettasister,

I read your frustrations over on API. Me too, friend. I agree that an mp3 file would be the best way to go. I hope we hear something soon; November 4th is rapidly approaching.

    To all that have supported,

Though they will not telegraph the issue until it breaks, your American commentator, Sean Hannity, will be the first to air the MO tapes. This, was constructed to offset any inertia gained by Mr. Obama’s 1/2 hour special.

I am in new york. I can now tell you that Cloud, whom you’ve all corresponded with, is in reality my dear and faithful wife. We were not at liberty to divulge these facts until the time of the tapes was nigh.

It is my understanding that by tomorrow morning, all the world will know the truth about the Obamas.

    God Bless you all . . .

    Mr. Korir

  10. Dave Says:

WTF “CLOUD”. She set out from the beginning to bait supporters.

  11. oliviadehavalot Says:

So API scammed everyone—the question is why? I hope no one gave them any money.

Another thing that has bothered me for sometime now is why did Dick Morris fly to Kenya last year to work pro-bono on Odinga’s campaign? Odinga’s politics are radical compared to Dick Morris’. Strange. I’ve also noticed that the Odinga/Obama story is something Fox News has stayed away from.
