“On Mrs Obama’s call to API” “The Obama (Mrs) story is not a hoax!”

“Ebony & Ivory”

Many of our readers from the USA have tried to reach us but in vain due to the fact that they were making calls at night Scandinavian time.

They may have felt frustrated not to be able to reach us. We want them to know that there is a huge time difference.

Contacting us by mail is much easier, but we do not object if they want to continue trying to reach us by phone. We will do our best to answer the calls.

We also want to inform those who have send in comments not published yet. The moderator is going through the comments (3200 of them) already in and will soon be released. Some comments with bad language will be left out.

We can be reached by phone during working hours scnadinavian time between 08.30 to 16.00

Michelle Obama’s “Whitey” Moment

Mr Korir:

I think there’s something I need to share with you.

A bit of American culture.

We pride ourselves on our color blindness.

Now, that doesn’t make all Americans color blind.

It is an ideal.

It is something I have fostered as a mother.

Now I didn’t ever say to my children, “You shouldn’t mention someone’s race.”

But something somewhere must have rubbed off on them.

Because they don’t.

Recently our son came home to Phoenix for a wedding. His wedding date also flew in for the ceremony.

And I was pleased, to say the least, when I met her.

Because she was a tall, stunningly beautiful, American of African descent.

And he never once mentioned her color.

So, when some Americans start talking about Black and White, it is an affront to most of us.

I guess this story has hit YouTube.

“Michelle Obama Rags the API”

Michelle Obama reportedly blew her top, on the telephone with the African Press International, for running a story about the Berg Vs Obama law suit, and Obama’s adoption by Lolo Soetoro, which caused him to become a citizen of Indonesia. She called all those not supporting her husband, racists.

I don’t know about you, but I needed a musical interlude.

Another story being pushed yesterday was an interview that Michelle Obama supposedly did with a group called “Africa Press International” in which she went on a “tirade” over rumors being spread about her husband.
API (a media group that I’ve never heard of) claims it has a tape recording of the phone interview with Mrs. Obama. If they do, then maybe we’ve got ourselves a ballgame.

If not, it seems like yet another internet rumor. The Obama camp claims no interview ever occurred.

Some people have already done a bit of searching and found that “API” doesn’t seem to be a real news organization either, and the site is registered to someone in Norway.

    Mr Korir

It is significant that Gateway Pundit picked up this story.

    “Kenyan blog in Obama row”

Posted on October 16, 2008 by nairobichronicle

An internet news blog operated by a Kenyan journalist has sparked huge controversy over Senator Barack Obama’s actual place of birth.

The blog has posted a transcript of what it claims was a telephone call by Sen. Obama’s wife, Michelle, accusing the website of spreading rumours by what she called, “American bloggers and other racist media outlets in their efforts to damage a black man’s name.

The Obama campaign has dismissed the interview as fake but the website, African Press International (API) has stood by its story, promising to release an audio of the conversation.

API is based in Norway and edited by a Mr. Korir. API has denied any intentions of malice towards the Obama campaign.

The alleged transcript has attracted wide readership, especially among Obama’s opponents who see it as proof that the Democratic presidential candidate has something to hide as far as his birth origins are concerned. Anti-Obama campaigners view the alleged remarks by Michelle Obama as proof that she is biased against whites.

Our take on the interview? Its hard to tell just who is telling the truth. Click here to read the story for yourself >>
