As much as it grieves me to say it, a tax on health-care benefits or a VAT tax large enough to hold the proposed deficits to something under 3% of GDP would be preferable to running decade-long trillion-dollar deficits, which would destroy the US economy and the dollar and do severe damage to the world economy.

On May 23rd, 2009, the American Grand Jury showed up to indict Obama by handing down presentments. The vote was unanimous. Twenty-seven (27) Jury members attested to the final charges:
COUNT TWO:
The charge of “Treason” against Obama is before the people of the United States of America. That such complaint is CRIMINAL, of high crimes, and extremely damaging against the people.

Finally, the budget relies on utterly unrealistic economic projections. Obama projects that the economy will be growing by 3.4 percent next year and by 6.2 percent in 2012. Those figures are several percentage points higher than any other reputable forecast.
That’s bad news, because even Obama’s doctored projections still show gigantic deficits in our future, dwarfing even the deficits of the Bush years (see Figure 2).
While President Obama promises a new era of responsibility, what he’s delivering is a continuation of President Bush’s fiscal recklessness—this time on steroids.
Unfortunately, we already know the consequences: slower growth, more unemployment, a lower standard of living, and higher levels of poverty.

Whining versus Resisting
Thursday, 28 May 2009 02:06
It’s hard to keep up with all the fascist, totalitarian power-grabs
that the megalomaniacs in Washington have been proposing recently.
Bill Clinton and his accomplices in Congress made huge leaps toward
socialism. Then “W” made far bigger leaps, toward both socialism
and fascism (and don’t believe the bunk about fascism and socialism
being opposites). Now we have Obama trying to stampede toward
complete totalitarianism as fast as he can, making the others look
moderate by comparison.
And what are the people doing about it? Well, most Americans, being
utterly clueless about philosophy, economics, history, and what’s
going on around them, just stand around with stupid looks on their
faces, trying to figure out why the Second Coming (the election of
the Holy Messiah, Barack Obama) hasn’t saved the world yet. They’ll
be wondering that for quite a while.
But what about the people who at least have some clue about what’s
going on? What are they doing? Well, there is plenty of righteous
indignation, and people screaming that the sky is falling (and it
is), but what are those people suggesting as the solution? “Call
your congressman, and demand [fill in the blank]!” Or, better yet,
“Let’s vote them out!”
How long have people been suggesting those things? Well, in this
country it’s been happening since before the ink on the
Constitution was dry. And what good has it accomplished? None. Even
the enthusiastic, grassroots, supposedly pro-freedom victories,
such as the election of Ronald Reagan, and later the 1994
“Republican Revolution,” did nothing in the long run to limit the
power of the megalomaniacs in Washington. There was a nationwide
demand for “limited government,” but it didn’t happen. “Government”
kept getting bigger, while individual freedom kept crumbling. How
could this be?
Because, for all their silly talk about “land of the free and home
of the brave,” Americans think and act exactly like slaves. They
are comfortable perpetually whining and begging their masters to be
nice to them, but they are utterly incapable of even considering
actual resistance to tyranny. They keep asking for permission to be
free, and when “government” won’t give them that permission, they
complacently do as they’re told. “We can’t go against the LAW,
Dorothy!” Occasionally they talk about “demanding” that “their”
congressman support or oppose certain legislation. But it’s not a
“demand” if it can’t be enforced; it’s just pathetic begging. (And
please don’t try to argue that promising to vote against a
particular crook, and in favor of his identical twin, is
“enforcing” anything.)
For all the celebrating that happens on July 4th, the truth is that
the vast majority of Americans are scared poopless of the thought
of ever NOT DOING WHAT THEY’RE TOLD. So, as loud and whiny as they
might get, most will forever remain obedient subjects, “law-abiding
taxpayers” who take great pride in how well they obey orders and
“play by the rules.” They think like slaves, act like slaves, and
are treated like slaves. Then they complain about it.
Personally, I hope that Obama and his fellow control freaks in
Congress (“R” and “D” alike) completely outlaw dissent, and ban
all religion (except for the most popular religion: worship of
government). I hope they make all private gun ownership illegal,
and nationalize all industry. I hope they repeal the Constitution
outright, declare martial law, and post gun-toting, jackbooted
fascists on every corner. I hope they impose a 100% income tax, and
seize all private property. And I hope they start arresting all who
complain, throwing them into concentration camps, and torturing and
executing them.
Because if all that happens, maybe–just MAYBE–Americans will grow
a spine, and start actually resisting. And by “resisting,” I don’t
mean pressing buttons in voting booths, or writing your
congressman. I mean the real kind of resisting: DISOBEYING the
masters. Unfortunately, I’m not sure the American sheeple still
have it in them to do that, no matter how bad things get. We’ll
know for sure, soon enough.

Hope this isn’t too long to post but thought it was really good: written by an unknown pastor’s wife
Credit to the blog Ruthless Roundup/written by an unknown Pastor’s wife:
“And it came to pass in the Age of Insanity that the people of the land called America , having lost their morals, their work initiative, and their will to defend their liberties, chose as their Supreme Leader that person known as “The One”.
He emerged from the vapors with a message that had no meaning; but He hypnotized the people telling them, “I am sent to save you.
My lack of experience, my questionable ethics, my monstrous ego, and my association with evil doers are of no consequence.
For I shall save you with Hope and Change. Go, therefore, and proclaim throughout the land that he who preceded me is evil, that he has defiled the nation, and that all he has built must be destroyed.”
And the people rejoiced, for even though they knew not what “The One” would do, he had promised that he would bring change, and they proclaimed “Yes We Can”.
And “The One” said “We live in the greatest country in the world. Help me change everything about it!”
And the people said, “Hallelujah!! Change is good!”
Then He said, “We are going to tax the rich fat-cats,”—- And the people said “Sock it to them!” “—- and “Redistribute their wealth.”
And then He said, “Redistribution of wealth is good for everybody”
And the people said, “Show us the money!”
And Joe the plumber asked, “Are you kidding me? You’re going to steal my money and give it to the deadbeats??”
And “The One” ridiculed and taunted him, and Joe’s personal records were hacked, publicized, and ridiculed; though no crime could be found.
One lone reporter asked, “That shouldn’t be, isn’t that Marxist policy?”
And she was banished from the kingdom!
Then a citizen asked, “With no foreign relations experience and having zero military experience or knowledge, how will you deal with radical terrorists?”
And “The One” said, “Simple. I shall sit with them and talk kindly to them and show them how nice we really are; and they will forget that they ever wanted to kill us all when I abolish the word “terrorism”!”
And the people said, “Hallelujah!! We are safe at last, and we can beat our weapons into free cars for the people!”
Then “The One” said, “I shall give 95% of you lower taxes.”
And one, lone voice said, “But 40% of us don’t pay ANY taxes.”
So “The One” said, “Then I shall give you some of the taxes the fat-cats
pay!”
And the people said, “Hallelujah!! Show us the money!”
Then “The One” said, “I shall tax your Capital Gains when you sell your homes!”
And the people yawned and the already slumping housing market fully collapsed.
And He said, “I shall mandate employer-funded health care for EVERY worker and raise the minimum wage, and lower the white collar wage.
And I shall also give every person unlimited healthcare and medicine and even transportation to the free clinics.”
And the people said, “Give me some of that!”
Then he said, “I shall penalize employers who ship jobs overseas.”
And the people said, “Where’s my rebate check?”
Then “The One” said, “I shall bankrupt the coal industry, and perhaps even the oil industry (Cap & Trade/Carbon Tax) and though electricity rates will skyrocket, we shall soon build wind farms and solar power stations and drive green cars that I shall mandate in Detroit!”
And the people said, “Coal is dirty, coal is evil, no more coal! But we don’t care for that part about higher electric rates.”
So “The One” said, “Not to worry. If your rebate ($10/week) isn’t enough to cover your extra expenses ($3,000/year), we shall bail you out. Just sign up with ACORN and your troubles are over!” “Only the fat cats will have to pay.”
Then He said, “Illegal immigrants feel scorned and slighted. Let’s grant them amnesty, Social Security, free education, free lunches, free medical care, bi-lingual signs and guaranteed housing…”
And the people said, “Hallelujah!!” And they made him King!
And so it came to pass that employers, facing spiraling costs and ever-higher taxes, raised their prices and laid off workers; though they sold much less of their products.
Others simply gave up and went out of business, and the economy sank like unto a rock dropped from a cliff. The banking industry was destroyed. Manufacturing slowed to a crawl. And more of the people were without a means of support.
So “The One” again blamed the prior administration, extended unemployment benefits to a year, bailed out his favorite banks, and then took over the banks and auto industries.
“The One” said, “I am the “The One” – The Messiah – and I’m here to save you! We shall just print more money so the government will have enough!” “Surely one trillion dollars will make everyone happy.” And immediately the Fed complied and the money presses roared.
And China reconsidered their one trillion dollars of loans to the US , and threatened to call in their debts. Other foreign trading
partners said unto “The One”, “Wait a minute. Your dollar is not worth a pile of camel dung! You will have to pay more.. for everything… as your dollar becomes worth less.”
And the people said, “Wait a minute… That is unfair!!”
And the world said, “Neither are these other idiotic programs you have embraced. Lo, you have become a Socialist state and a second-rate power. What factories are not owned by your government are owned by us. Now you shall play by our rules!”
And “The One” said “Americans are arrogant, divisive, and derisive!” “We will listen.”
And the people cried out, “Alas, alas!! What have we done?”
But yea verily, it was too late. The people eventually set upon “The One” and spat upon him and stoned him, and his name was dung.
But the once mighty nation was no more; and the once proud people were without sustenance or shelter or hope.
And the Change that “The One” had given them was as like unto a poison that had destroyed them from within, and like a whirlwind that consumed all that they had built.
And the people beat their chests in despair and cried out in anguish, “Give us back our nation and our pride and our hope!!”
But it was too late, and the once-glorious “Home of the Brave and Land of the Free” was no more..

Already—- everything down to the last couple of lines…”
Good Morning Roses’s Gang! I was just reading over at Larry’s site and he has 2 stories that I found interesting. A British newspaper has a memo to Robert Gibbs slamming him and Obama…wow, they are really on to him. There is also a story about the American Embassy in Iraq having a gay pride party in the city. What where they thinking? Wonder if the MSM will be covering these stories? lol (sarc)
Troy..sorry to read that you were robbed. Hard to imagine a theft like that in broad daylight. Be careful! Wanted to say a Big Thank You to you and to Rose for all the great music vids that you’ve been posting. They have been a welcome blast from the past!
Troy,
some years back, my place was hit by thieves. They may very well return after a few weeks or a month so beware. The question is, how did they know you were gone? Were there roofers working in the area? Any construction work or other activity going on within view of your place? Did you mention your trip to anyone (a merchant or barber) in your area.
I know its not as bad as being raped, but the feeling of violation doesn’t leave quickly. There was such a strong desire within me to want to catch them red handed…scum don’t deserve to be breathing, much less free. I always figured they would need an ambulance before the police.
Thanks Budgy! Listen to the show or show from 2 weeks before. They are very informative. Red Beckman is a national treasure. We have a lot of work to do to save this Republic, what’s left of it. Being fully informed is just the first step. We must not only know what to do, but do it and pass it on.
But the Senate won’t save them because of the rule change that allows health care restructuring to pass with 50 Democratic votes.
If a terrible bill gets out of the House, a terrible bill will get out of the Congress.
The e-mail below illustrates –again– that voters have no idea that woeful destruction to the amazing American system of medicine that are on the horizon.
But if you are one of those who do get it, look through this list of “Blue Dog Democrats” and contact one or more to urge them to reject “the government option”/single payer/rationing.
The “government option” is the biggest threat of all, a thinly disguised lurch to Canada-style single payer with the hidden (and increasingly not-so-hidden) rationing and lousy care that Canada provides its people with complex diseases and conditions.
But the peril to medicine is real, as the e-mail below indicates. So do something about it.
***
“Every analysis of oncology suggests that we have a 10-30% deficit of trained physicians staring us in the face by 2020.
Every academic analysis suggests one or another program, and bemoans the difficulty in attracting qualified medical students and residents to oncology.
It’s quite simple, really: very hard work, and declining income.
Private practice physicians have seen a fall of approximately 30% since 2004.
Worsening economics are right around the corner.
Given the extraordinary expense of chemotherapy and supportive therapies, combined with reimbursements that just exceed a wash, it will become impossible to deliver outpatient care in more than half the venues in the United States quite soon.
And then, simply put, the senior physicians will quit.”
“Specialists, and underpaid generalists will hang it up years ahead of their planned exit from medicine in just about any system that the Obama administration is likely to devise.
They’ll scarcely need to ration care: there just won’t be anyone around to deliver it.
Government will kill the golden goose, and then blame it upon everyone and anyone else. As usual.”
***
Read that again. Then go and call/write/e-mail some Blue Dog Democrats.
Tell them to stand up to the left wing of their party or stand down in the next election.
Promise to support their opponent if they support the destruction of American medicine.
Yes, absolutely, we need to stop “public” option in the House if possible.
But if that doesn’t happen, and even with the threat of “reconciliation” hanging over Senators’ heads, I believe a “Gang of 14” in the Senate could still kill “public” option.
And I am curious why Mr. Hewitt hasn’t mentioned the fallback “trigger” option.
I will say this, if Mr. Hewitt or any other talking heads out there believe that America will settle for the status quo, they are sadly mistaken.
And Mitt Romney really should be out front on this, especially considering Ted Kennedy wants to replicate RomneyCare on a national scale.
That would be a disaster!
We can do the same thing Bush did with his prescription coverage for the elderly.
MoveOn.org is hammering away at Democrats again. Republicans, too.
Cantwell apparently was targeted because she serves on Senate Finance, according to Emma Mackinnon, who is with the public relations firm involved in the ad campaign.
Others being hit over the next week by radio ads include
Sen. Kent Conrad, the North Dakota Democrat who chairs the Senate Budget Committee,
Sen. Bill Nelson, D-Fla.,
Sen. Tom Carper, D-Del.,
Sen. Olympia Snowe, R-Maine, and
Sen. Ron Wyden, D-Ore., who has touted a universal coverage bill of his own.
Rose,
A year ago, I was a Hugh Hewitt fan. Today, I most detest so-called conservative voices that perpetuate the deception of the “false-god” government and Hewitt is one of those. He refuses to talk about the ineligibility question. I do not trust him and seldom can stand listening to him now.
Here’s one Lefty who gets it. This is why they are opposing the fallback “trigger.”
Jesse Graham is the executive director of the Maine People’s Alliance.
Insurers are aware of the demand and are looking for a way to derail reform.
By accepting a public plan in principle but delaying its implementation, they hope to buy a little time.
Once health care reform is “done” and the country moves on to other issues, they will quietly use their lobbying and market power to make sure that the public insurance trigger is never pulled.
If that sounds a bit cynical, keep in mind that the Medicare Part D prescription drug program enacted by Congress in 2003 also included a public plan with a similar “trigger” provision.
The insurance companies that participate in the Part D program have failed to create effective cost controls, and they continue to provide higher prices and lower-quality coverage on prescription drugs than government programs like the VA and Medicaid.
(I’m guessing not everyone shares Graham’s interpretation. Just a guess.)
Despite this, the trigger has not been pulled, and taxpayers are spending billions of dollars each year to subsidize these inefficient private plans.
(Let’s see “inefficient” private plans v public plans. My bet’s on the former.)
(That old blowhard) Kennedy favors a public plan that looks like Medicare, the government-run program for older Americans.
But Sen. Max Baucus of Montana, the chairman of the Finance Committee, has been working for months with the panel’s senior Republican, Charles Grassley of Iowa, in the hope of forging a bipartisan bill, which would probably play down the option of a public plan.
Democrats on the Finance Committee said Baucus was exploring a possible compromise. Under this proposal, the public plan would be created ONLY IF private insurance companies had not made meaningful, affordable coverage available to all Americans within several years.
Senate Democrats said they believed Baucus might settle for this “fallback plan,” which could win some support on both sides of his committee, such as Sen. Ron Wyden, D-Ore., and Sen. Olympia Snowe, R-Maine.
Passage of comprehensive health legislation this year is a top priority for Baucus and Kennedy, the chairman of the Committee on Health, Education, Labor and Pensions. So they might be able to resolve their differences, aides said.
The split reflects not only political differences between the two men but also differences between their committees, racing to write the most ambitious health care legislation in the nation’s history.
Overall, Democrats on the Finance Committee tend to be more moderate than those on the health committee, which includes more Democrats who identify themselves as liberals or progressives.
According to Rob Roper, chairman of the Vermont Republican Party, the GOP can expect an upswing during the next campaign season, especially in regards to voters looking for fiscal stability.
“I’m very optimistic about the 2010 election cycle,” he said.
People tend to vote with their economic status in mind, Roper said, and the Democratic policies have failed to make health care and housing affordable to middle class Vermonters while driving out hundreds of jobs from the state.
“People have really started to understand in Vermont, looking at our economy, we’ve been in a leftward drift for several decades now, and its failed,” said Roper. “The alternative is the sound fiscal policies and philosophies that have always been the hallmark of the Republican Party.”
Obama has ensconced himself the official proprietor of values and ethics in an attempt to convince the conservative Muslim world that a liberal can regain lost moral integrity. He extends self-prescribed principles with one hand, while in plain sight deliberately assists Dr. George Tiller in a partial birth abortion with the other. The President gives soaring speeches extending pseudo-American values. But words fail to mask the stench of death, even in the nostrils of formidable enemies who are familiar with the odor.
Rose: Why would Obama even comment on this guy? While I never condone murder as a means of justice, that monster should have been put in jail a long time ago for the horror he has committed to innocent babies that were viable living human beings. Late term abortion is murder plain and simple and he should have been stopped via law before it came to this. While I don’t approve of the way it was accomplished, I’m glad he is gone.
Interesting that Obama didn’t comment on the fact that some radical took the life of one of our soldiers at a recruiting station and wounded 2 others, but was johnny on the spot commenting on Tiller and condemning it. I do not trust Obama and dislike his motives immensely. Disgraceful that he could not recognize one of his own troops being murdered.

This lady has been doing a fine job of sounding the fiscal alarm:
The Age of Debt
Barack Obama’s first budget promises “fiscal responsibility”—and delivers the opposite.
Veronique de Rugy
http://www.reason.com/news/show/133217.html
Finally, the budget relies on utterly unrealistic economic projections. Obama projects that the economy will be growing by 3.4 percent next year and by 6.2 percent in 2012. Those figures are several percentage points higher than any other reputable forecast.
That’s bad news, because even Obama’s doctored projections still show gigantic deficits in our future, dwarfing even the deficits of the Bush years (see Figure 2).
http://www.4shared.com/file/108795385/6d4f9811/President_Obamas_10-Year_Deficit_Projections.html
While President Obama promises a new era of responsibility, what he’s delivering is a continuation of President Bush’s fiscal recklessness—this time on steroids.
Unfortunately, we already know the consequences: slower growth, more unemployment, a lower standard of living, and higher levels of poverty.

I love the way the image linked above puts the lie to the “I inherited this mess” mantra.
There it is in black and white.
Oh, and one more thing — Bush’s numbers are real, Obama’s numbers are fanciful.
May 30, 2009 at 6:55 pm
Reposting
I finally found this. Since CBO came out with their revised forecasts,
FY 2009 – 13.1
FY 2010 – 9.6
After that, God only knows!
I still believe we need a great big chart going all the way back to at least the 1930s.
The American people need to understand that if Obama gets his way on the FY 2010 Budget, the projected deficits really are unprecedented.
And the Repubs are not doing a good job of making us understand.
Why not?!
The Dems say where were you when Bush was doubling the deficit.
Look at Bush’s numbers:
2001 1.3
2002 -1.5
2003 -3.4
2004 -3.6
2005 -2.6
2006 -1.9
2007 -1.2
2008 -3.2
Earth to Congress. When your revenues are higher, you can afford to take on more debt!!!
For the life of me, I cannot understand why Judd Gregg and the other Repubs aren’t explaining things better!
Reagan’s highest number was – 5.7. That’s when the Dems were yelling that Reagan was going to bankrupt America!
Obama did inherit -8.3 from Bush for FY 2009. Anything higher than that is all Obama.
————————————————————-
Standardized-Budget Deficit or Surplus and Related Series, 1980 to 2008
1980 -2.7
1981 -2.5
1982 -3.8
1983 -5.7
1984 -4.7
1985 -5.1
1986 -5.0
1987 -3.2
1988 -3.1
1989 -2.8
1990 -3.9
1991 -4.4
1992 -4.5
1993 -3.8
1994 -2.9
1995 -2.2
1996 -1.4
1997 -0.3
1998 0.8
1999 1.4
2000 2.5
2001 1.3
2002 -1.5
2003 -3.4
2004 -3.6
2005 -2.6
2006 -1.9
2007 -1.2
2008 -3.2
Obama inherited
2009 -8.3
(Thanks to Obama and Specter, Snowe and Collins this has already grown to at least -13.5)
2010 -4.9 (This projected deficit has also ballooned, but I don’t recall the exact number)
By 2013 Obama says this number will be down to 3.0 percent of GDP.
So instead of tackling the problem he inherited, he compounded the problem into uncharted territory.
And now he claims he can turn this around in less than four years when his tax policies are sure to decrease revenues.
Can’t be done.
Unless Obama is born-again and turns into a supply-sider overnight.

Now, you may ask yourself, why is Rosetta reposting that?
(Okay, I’m asking myself!)
Because the image linked above doesn’t tell the whole story.
It’s like this — yes, you can look at the debt for FY 2008 (- 455) and you can argue that it was too high.
But because of high revenues that year, Bush’s number was only – 3.2%
If Obama were running numbers like that I wouldn’t be complaining so much.
And I don’t know how to make the American public understand this!

But it was too late, and the once-glorious “Home of the Brave and Land of the Free” was no more..
if you look hard enoughYou may think this is a fairy tale, but it’s not.
It’s happening RIGHT NOW,
Already—- everything down to the last couple of lines…”

Troy,
some years back, my place was hit by thieves.

Obamacare Will Lead To A U-Turn On Life-Expectancy: What To Tell The Blue Dogs
http://hughhewitt.townhall.com/blog/g/522f386d-e0f9-4d2e-ba51-ccd2c24054df
EXCERPTS
But the Senate won’t save them because of the rule change that allows health care restructuring to pass with 50 Democratic votes.
If a terrible bill gets out of the House, a terrible bill will get out of the Congress.
The e-mail below illustrates –again– that voters have no idea that woeful destruction to the amazing American system of medicine that are on the horizon.
But if you are one of those who do get it, look through this list of “Blue Dog Democrats” and contact one or more to urge them to reject “the government option”/single payer/rationing.
http://www.house.gov/melancon/BlueDogs/Member%20Page.html
May 31, 2009 at 4:26 pm
I have a slight disagreement with Mr. Hewitt.
With the fallback “trigger” option.
Let the private sector take care of business!

May 31, 2009 at 5:04 pm
May 31, 2009 at 5:13 pm
2 Democrats leading health care retooling are split over public plan
http://www.twincities.com/ci_12481411?source=most_emailed

I thought Republicans were on the endangered list in Vermont!
GOP seeks wins
Source: Brattleboro Reformer | May 29, 2009
http://bulletin.aarp.org/states/vt/2009/21/articles/gop_seeks_wins.html

“Even if the shooter was a leftist moonbat Obama voter and this was about adultery. They’ll use this for pushing gun control and getting all”

My initial thought was of John Brown.
John Brown (May 9, 1800 – December 2, 1859) was an American abolitionist who advocated and practiced armed insurrection as a means to end all slavery.

I am not advocating anything at all here, but from a spiritual standpoint, he lived by the sword and he died by the sword.
There are some people who are better off dead, and I mean better for his eternal soul.
He’s stopped sinning now.

Good for you, CJ!
I’m guessing a lot of families across America feel the same as you.
